They are the best Postal services, very professional, very helpful, dont rush you, just AWESOME PPL!!!IN my life time Ive gone to plenty post offices and I can say there is none like them !!!You guys ROCK!!!GOD BLESS YOU ALL
This post office loses packages constantly and when you bring it to their attention that there is a lost package they are completely dismissive of it. When i asked why my packages are scanned at my mailbox but arent there and what would be happening to cause that i was told maybe someone is stealing it. This has been going on for the past couple years that i have resided in Georgetown.
Ive gotten multiple deliveries that never arrive they say its attempted and I always make sure Im home when Im having something delivered I also keep the front door open so they know someones home, yet from the time its out to the time they say its attempted not once did I see the usps vehicle pull in my driveway mind you my home office desk in infront the window thats viewing the street so I see every vehicle that passes. I do have dogs and Im sure they know by now that I have dogs however when you update it as failed attempt due to animals but you actually dont even try to deliver it becomes frustrating and very unprofessional. USPS in Georgetown needs a whole new workforce because the majority of the people working there are rude and lazy.
The Little Gym of Georgetown has been in business for 3+ years at our address. To date we have routinely received mail months or years after it was mailed. (The years are in direct relation to Christmas cards from 2017 that were received in March of 2019.) We have had multiple calls with the Postmaster and were often told it will be taken care of but continues. Today we received mail for the first time in 5 months. Calls had been made and there was no mail in our box at the post office or in or physical box at the gym. We were told there was no mail until we were able to flag down the postal carrier and she said it was in a box we didnt have access to. This too is not a first. How can a government body be so mismanaged and its employees so horrifically trained to do their job? Worse, I cant post without giving at least one star when they deserve far less for poor service.
The postal carrier for E. Market Street, Georgetown,DE, on several occasions, hasnt taken letters and other correspondence out of the mailbox when the flag was obviously up. How do you miss a big red flag?! It seems if he has no mail to deliver to the house, he just skips it. This most recent time (today), the wind blew the mailbox open in the evening & the sympathy card meant for a family member is now ruined due to the storms.
This is regarding the post master at the Georgetown De. location. I didn’t get her name. I had an issue with a change of address that i had asked politely to speak with her. She took over five minutes to even come talk to me as one of the clerks up front had to go get her from the back. She approaches me and does not greet me at all. Just came up and stared as i was waiting for her to ask me what i needed help with but she never did. So i explained my issue, she the very rudely expresses that she has already talked to someone else in the family about this, and that what this family member told me to do that the post master stated to her before was not correct and that “she does not know where she is getting her information from but it’s not her”. Very rude and arrogant. This is not the first time she has been this way towards me or another customer. I have seen how she treats people in the line in front of me. Very disrespectful to my family member that went in there and to me multiple times and we never have gotten the issue resolved of my change of address because she refuses to help us. I’m not usually one to do this type of review, but it’s to the point now i still don’t know how to resolve my question/concern and she doesn’t seem to care. Terrible customer service.
This is the worst post office I have ever dealt with. I have had many issues and every time I have had to talk to management at the post office they have been less than friendly. They continue to lose my packages and my mail carrier always gives me mail that isnt mine or marks things as delivered when they arent. For a while I even had an issue with one of the package lockers at my complex not opening. I spoke with the post office on 3 different occasions before they finally replaced the key. And then I got a passive aggresive note in my box from the mail carrier asking for the key back when I had given it directly to her supervisor the day prior. . Im not sure why adequate customer service is so hard for them. This post office alone is honestly enough to make me want to move out of this city.
Try living without the fine service the Georgetown postal service provides each & every day. Then learn to be GREATFULL .
I am moving to DE in a couple of weeks;however the VA PO began sending my mail & Pkgs 3 wk early. I spoke with VA PO several times to please resolve the issue as I was also being charged postage due. Was promised they would & were in contact....no response, therefore, I called the Georgetown PO direct and spoke with Peg. She not only explained why this had happened but removed the postage due. She was friendly, professional, and most helpful. This experience is helping to make a stressful move easier.
Ms Post Master .... According to Christian Bookstore and UPS, my package has been in Georgetown P.O. for over one week. Interesting that it has not been logged in there or delivered to my house. Shipped 6/12 arrived in Georgetown 6/15..today is 6/25! 13 days really!
Very courteous and helpful for the volume of customers per day that visit there and the increased work load from the smaller Post Offices that where closed. Thank you for a great job!
The worse customer service. I used to use a USPS in Rehoboth, where everyone so friendly and helpful, but USPS in Georgetown is so different. I told my husband that they will put a piece of tape on the box for him, because they did it to me before, but they made him to purchase $3.49 tape....for one little box....I called the office and the lady said that she doesnt care what they did before, very rude. She didnt even care to make her customer satisfied. Im expecting apologies and refund for the tape. Do not want to have any business with this office in future.
I agree with the customer service. There is one lady there that is the rudest person I have ever met. Then the rest are pretty nice, but the mail is slow getting to me. Take weeks to get letters from right down the street. I dont get it. Oh, also, I have mail that I put out this morning first thing..yes it is a Saturday, but no one came to collect or drop mail off. They are closed at the moment so I either got skipped or...I got skipped.
Very unprofessional. A woman about 30 with red hair was rude and not well dressed. She did not have a name tag on but her attitude fits the rude atmosphere of USPS. I asked her when my package would be delivered. She responded saying seven days. I said when would that be and she said well in seven days. This federal business should be privatized so people like this could loose their jobs.
In the post Office they have been vary helpful never had a problem. However have had problems with package deliveries before. After a quite a few complaints, the problem was fixed and havent personally had a problem since.
Very helpful and courteous staff. At the front counter they have helped our business save on postage and shipping rates.
I have my driveway fully cleared yet I keep gettin negative delivery messages.
Donna is the absolute rudest person I have ever gotten from aresponse from at any US Post Office. Its really unbelievable. She needs to be counting pennies in a back room of a bank not however in any capacity working with the public especially in the US Post Office. Never made any attempt at delivery.
The couple of men that work here are OK. At least one of the women are very nasty (and looked like she was high). Id rather drive to Seaford.
I live in georgetown. Lately my packages havent even attempted to be delivered. They claim that nobody was there but there is always somebody at my house and a dog to alert when somebody is there! They leave a slip that says Georgetown post office and I go there, and they tell me its in Ellendale post office? So I call Ellendale and they say thats not even the same town and hang up on me. So where is my package? My mail is even ending up on the ground! Im so sick of this direct neglect of their job.
Terrible service
I can not give less then 1 star, who ever the lady is who answers the phone when you have a problem, she has a bad attitude, is nasty and rude. to the extent I filled a complaint against her with the postal inspectors unit. so if you live here and read this and had the same kind of issue, then you should file a complaint against her. or you will be stuck with her until she retires. any postal employee who goes out of their way to try to start arguments with customers has no business working their.
My driveway was plowed on Friday I had a package to be delivered Saturday with medications yet the driver says NO ACCESS which is total Bull. Now today I had another package to be delivered, I was outside with dog at 4:41 and I got a message that there was NO ACCESS What the heck. Im getting just a bit upset about this mess. My driver is clear the driver didnt even ATTEMPT to come gice me my packages!!!!! Totally ridiculous in sooooooo many ways. Get it together Georgetown USPS
I wish I could give it a no star but it does not give me that option they can send my item back to the post office, they don’t really ring the door bell they knock and leave.
Absolutely horrible customer service. At least once a month I have to go to the post office to pick up a package because the Mail receptacle was full or There was no secure place to put tbe package. TRY KNOCKING ON THE DOOR! Someone is always home to recieve the package. When I go in and ask why, they tell me well the carrier doesnt have to bring it to your house if there are lockers at your pickup location. All the lockers are broken, they know the lockers are broken because I tell them every time I go in to pick up a package. Laziest bunch of people Ive ever seen. Then again, what do you expect from government workers?
In the last week they have lost 3 of my 4 packages coming to me
