I’ve never had any experience with having to have a car towed but if I ever need a tow in the future I will definitely call upon Winyah. They answered the phone right away, whereas other companies did not answer because it was after 5 pm. The truck driver Charlie showed up within twenty minutes and was very efficient and friendly. He towed our vehicle from Georgetown to Conway no problem. Charlie was extremely professional and informative as well as a safe driver. Thanks to Winyah we did not have to be stranded for the night in a different county.

So I did not call this service for a standard tow, I had Hub separate from a boat trailer wow the boat was still on the trailer. The owner of the company and one of the drivers came out and loaded the trailer with the boat still on the trailer on one of their trucks and transported it to where it needed to go. Everybody was very nice and knowledgeable and I would highly recommend them.

Terrible customer service. Waited nearly 2 hours on them for a lockout. They gave my insurance company an eta of 60 minutes at the time of dispatch. When I called because they didnt show up, the female that answered told me she would get someone on the way. She expected me to wait another hour, after I already waited two. She never sent anyone when she got the initial call. I dont understand how companies like this prosper. She had not an once of care what so ever that they wasted so much of my time.

If I could put zero stars I would. My car broke down at 9:30 pm I called my insurance company for roadside assistance. I got comfirmation at 10:57pm that this tow company would be towing my car for my insurance company the eta was for 60min.I called Winyah wrecker service at about 12:20am when the car never arrived to my home, the lady who answered sounded like she didnt know what she was talking about she said yes we have it here at the restuarant and hung up the phone on me. I called my insurance they called Winyah and stated the lady had me confused with someone else and that they would be there to get my car in 15 mins. My husband calls me at work at 3am in the morning and tells me the police rung my doorbell and informed him our car was towed because we never moved it. When I call my insurance they called Winyah the lady told them she is sorry. When I called her she told me she was asleep and doesnt remember talking to me. My husband called her she stated she never put the call in to get our car so its not her fault. Im glad they record all their calls because Winyah will be paying to get my car out of impound. This is the worst experience ive had with roadside and I sincerely hope Winyah Wrecker loses there contract with roadside assistance because they are not professional and should not be offering 24hr service if the operator is going to be sleeping and not putting in calls to her tow trucks. Im very very disappointed in this service. Good help is hard to find please if it is after dark go with another towing company because the lady will be sleep and will not put in your service request.
