I was initially sent to other branch in Joliet which they refused my companys donate because lack of space. After waiting for at least three hours I was sent to the main office. I wish they wouldve had this worked out from the beginning. As soon as I got here I was given a door. I was telling someone it shouldnt ever have to be this difficult to donate food.🤦🏿‍♂️🤷🏿‍♂️

IRBN pick up two loads of perishable food items for the South Bend, In FB and i wasnt to happy of how they loaded the items. It was poorly loaded and stacked on top of each other in which pallets were leaning to the side. Just a unprofessionally loaded trailer. But Feeding America is a good concept to have, 5 stars for that.

Ive been volunteering at Northern Illinois Food Bank for about five months now and I enjoy it. The staff is very professional and courteous. Im very thankful and grateful that I have the opportunity to volunteer for the food bank. It brings joy to my heart and tears in my eyes knowing that Im helping others in need and serving my neighbors and I give my Lord and Savior all the Honor, all the Glory and all the Praise in JESUS NAME who has strengthen me and given me a servants heart to serve. Also I would like to add that Chris Gillette is doing an AWESOME JOB. And last but not least JULIE YURKO IS AMAAAAZING 😇😇😇

Very fast unloading. 30 minutes total, from check in to pulling away from door with signed b.o.l.s. Good job to all staff there. They obviously communicate well with each other.

Impressive facilities and staff. Great place to volunteer! As part of the experience they give you a tour of the entire facility and explain how things work and how they coordinate with other satellite food pantries. It’s well worth your time to check it out.

If I could give zero I would. How do you feed the hungry when you have a waiting list for an appointment to get food on one of the two days you actually give out. And for 2 hours each day????? I got there hungry and left with NOTHING

Had a wonderful time while helping people who cant get the food they need.When our shift finished, I calculated that I had lifted about one ton (2000 lb) of potatoes... 5 pounds at a time.I encourage everyone who is able to try it. It gives you a good feeling know that someone wont be going to bed hungry because of the work you did.

I just wanted to once again thank you for all you do . Because of the food we got last time we were there, I have a pot of homemade chicken gumbo on the stove . Almost all the main ingredients came from the food bank .

I love volunteering here! Its always a lot of fun and the time passes very quickly. They appreciate all of their volunteers very much and have yearly appreciation events with great food, drinks, and games.

Biggest ripoff I’ve ever seen. I went here, staving with my family, just to be told we will not help with food. They don’t care if the elderly or a child is hungry. All what they cared about was how much money was going to be donated. If someone like me who is having an very hard time asking for help, I can’t donate any money & was in need for a little food. Never ask for help here unless you donate hundreds of dollars to get a box of food.

I would like to know why it says northern Illinois, but there is never ever a mobile food bank close to us in Milledgeville. Not Dixon, Sterling, Rockfalls.

NIFB does fantastic work helping alleviate hunger in northern Illinois. The facility is beautiful and they offer great volunteer opportunities.

Thank you to the Northern Illinois food bank for their generous donations and help in feeding the multiple homeless, battered women, and correctional facilities of Kane and Dekalb County. I dont recall a single occasion or time that we made a request of them and they were unable to fulfill it for us. Additionally, everyone that we have ever come in contact with.... whether they where a forklift driver, an administrator or somebody in charge of security or public-relations.... every single employee involved with Northern Illinois food bank, no matter how big or small their job title, was courteous and polite, thoughtful and considerate in addressing and serving the sometimes rude and inconsiderate, self-centered and undeserving individuals of whom they are required to come into contact with on a daily basis. Kudos Northern Illinois food bank and all of your employees for doing a job above and beyond your Call of Duty and responsibilities. We Are Forever indebted to you and the service that you provide to our community. Without your presence and selfless dedication, there would be a multitude of both children and adults going to bed with an empty stomach and without the strength and encouragement that comes with receiving a HAND UP. God bless you and Mets his grace and favor shine down upon you and your families.

Its a place where our church does one of our days of service. We love it and the people that run the facility. It truly is a blessing to the community that needs it.

We survive because of the pantry in Elburn. Run very well and the help are saints. Just knowing people are so humble and helpful raises ones spirits.Being on a fixed retirement income our dollars have declined due to inflation and this help has been a gift of manna.God bless all of you, and many thanks.The frendship developed of the volunteers and the others in need renews our faith in mankind.Ray and Nancy Lynch
