I’ve stayed at this location in the past and it was fine, but this place has really gone down hill. Very run down and in desperate need of a refresh. Only two small towels in the bathroom and the toilet paper holder was practically falling out of the wall. Also, our room was not ready anywhere near check-in time. Check-in time is listed as 3pm and our room was still not ready at 5:20pm. We had to just leave and come back later after waiting 25 minutes to see if our room would be ready. Will not stay here again.
Not my type of hotel but sleepable. The front desk staff are polite and professional. The housekeeping needs work.Bedding - Duvet had a fleece blanket inside oppose to a comforter.. luckily I had a double Queen bed so I used the blankets from that bed also to keep warm.Cleaning- they don’t clean behind the nightstand and left a used toilet paper roll that was nearly finished in my bathroomTowels - they provide limited towels and rags and the towels are small and crunchy…. I stayed at the Charlotte location also and the service is COMPLETELY different.Accessories the room was missing a blow dryer . That means house keeping is rushing to turn rooms. However the front desk was kind a brought one immediately. The front desk staff are 5 star!
Probably the worst Marriott Courtyard I have ever stayed in. The bathrooms are not cleaned well, there was no trash and in the room and there was half of one paper towel. No spare paper towels in case this sole half roll ran out.For as expensive as these places are this is just a terrible hotel.
This hotel was a mess from the start, and had we not been in a time crunch for a funeral, we would’ve looked elsewhere. When we checked-in, it took an unusually long time. Walking to the room, the hotel’s ceiling leaked/dripped on me, we looked up and the ceiling was “falling” apart in the lobby, the elevator carpets are pretty dirty, only one of the room keys worked, there were red stains in various places throughout the room and spots were sticky on the floor. There were children’s toys in the room on the floor from a previous guest, a flat sheet was used instead of a fitted sheet so there was a lot of moving around at night because of exposed mattress. There were only two towels provided, and one of them was used but was hanging in the shower as if it was clean. I called to the lobby for towels, but was told I would need to come down and get them myself. The morning of the funeral, the iron was broken, and overheated causing the iron to burn a hole in my shirt (I was pretty upset about this), and I couldn’t blow dry my hair because even though there was a bag in the closet, there was no hair dryer. When we checked out we were told we’d owe for breakfast even though the gentleman told us it was complimentary when we checked in. They did at least comp that $16 charge. Also, the same garbage that was in the hallway across from the elevators on Saturday around 8 pm was in the hallway Sunday morning at 9 am.The whole things was a mess and there are better options for the area, without a doubt.
Cigarette butts & trash everywhere outside of the balcony and on the rooftop. Stains all over the balcony like people have been using the bathroom on them. Stains ALL over the furniture. VERY VERY noticeable stains. Asked for a refund and was instead rewarded points. But only for one night when paid for two. There has to be a way to post photos, and as soon as I find out how, I will post them. Incredibly baffling how this place has 4 stars overall. It is TERRIBLY DISGUSTING. And their excuse was “it happened during Covid”. NO EXCUSE. Staff couldn’t have cared less.
It’s just not clean! It’s an older Courtyard, which is fine but it’s just not clean! The elevator mat was nasty and the elevator buttons were dirty. The room smelled like smoke and there were stains on the carpet curtain. The tub didn’t drain properly, and the remote was dead causing us to be unable to watch TV. The door on the side of the building did not work with key cards from the outside. There was a beer can, cigarette butts, and cigar ashes in the pool area!
Positive: Room was clean - but everything else was not even close to Marriott standards. Bad! Negative: King sized bed had only two regular pillows. Sleeper sofa was only a twin bed with no bedding - staff gave us sheets and pillow cases but had no extra pillows - told us to put a pillowcase on the sofa cushions - really? Bath towels were thin & tiny
Its okay for an overnight stay. Not as clean as you would expect. Appropriate towels would be better. Room with two beds..you really need 4 bath, 4 washcloths and 2 hand towels... Kinda feel like I shouldnt have to say it. Stairwell did smell like marijuana like stated in other reviews.
We arrived at the hotel at 2am. Check in was quick & easy. We unloaded our luggage and headed up to the room.Upon entering, I saw something move. Turned on my phone flashlight. It was a cockroach! My husband took a quick video. We headed back to the lobby and explained why we wouldnt be staying there. The night auditor assured us we wouldnt be charged. I noticed on the way down how dirty the elevator was. Dirt & old french fries in the corners. Ugh! Its now 230am and we need to find another hotel.Step up your game Marriott! Do you not realize how important cleanliness is right now ??
Positive: The staff at the front desk both am and pm were fantastic! The lobby was nice as well. I wish we wrote down their names both great! Location good as well. Negative: Updating outside and rooms are a must. We initially pulled up and were turned off. Lobby was nice but if outside bad it sets the tone. Building looks very tired but very clean staff works very hard you can tell. Hotel is very clean.
Positive: Upscale atmosphere, large room w/sofa Negative: Lack of coffee maker in room
Positive: Kind staff, bed was horrible with a huge hole in the mattress (the springs has broken leaning a body sized cavity that wasn¿t discovers until someone had already gone to sleep and we didn¿t eat to disrupt the other.) the elevator and halls smelled Negative: Personal responsible for breakfast was out sick so they gave us vouchers for market. Very nice geasture but didn¿t really replace a hot breakfast which was kind of the reason we booked that location.
We had a pretty terrible stay last night. It took three trips to the front desk to get our keys to work. It was 90 degrees in the hallway while we had to wait with our four kids just to get the keys to work. The carpet in the room was sticky. The entire hotel smells like weed. And there was no breakfast. I can’t believe we paid $200 for that. The staff was all super nice and professional, so that was the only positive.
As far as Marriotts go, this one was okay. The carpets and interior were not as clean as I hope. Internet in the hotel room was terrible - could not get connected. Bathroom design was not ideal, slightly cramped. Ill be looking for another hotel to stay in the future.
The friendly staff is the reason it gets an extra star! The lounge was closed and dinner wasnt available like the description said. The hallway smelled like pot smoke (in a no smoking hotel) and everything had stains, walls, ceiling and the carpet. Laundry room was gross! I needed a wheelchair accessible room but got hearing accessible and my chair was impossible to move around in and everything was too high! The sheets were clean and the room felt clean but it was really outdated! Courtyards are usually super nice, this one feels like a budget hotel.
Positive: Enjoyed the pool and hot tub. Front desk scheduled its use. Convenient location. Great shower; comfy bed. Negative: TV was at right angle to bed so we had to watch with our necks strained. Window was dirty inside and out.
Smelled like weed and our card keys didn’t work for the first two attempts. We had to have them reset three times by the front desk. The staff was great and very helpful.
The stay would have been better but the room had stains all on the carpet & furniture!!! Definitely needs a professional cleaning!!!!
Lots of traffic noise since its close to I-85. No free breakfast. Our room did have two shower heads plumbed to spray at the same time. Never seen that in a hotel before. So you could get a great shower, you just had trouble sleeping at night due to the road noise.
Very Nice PeopleClean & Nice RoomsI would recommend them to anyoneI gave them a 5 Star
Problems with bathroom toilet running until maintenance was finally notified to fix it. Staffs communication between each other could have been better. Balcony was very dirty.
Hotel needs work!! The room smelled bad and the fourth floor hallway reeked of marijuana. There was a used bandaid on the floor and no coffee pot or microwave in the room. Ceiling had water spots and damage. Mattress was comfortable but the pillows were so old and lumpy. The bath towels smelled moldy. I will not stay here again. I went downstairs at 9:50 for coffee and there is nothing available in the lobby accept for the vending machines.
The room was NOT cleaned and presumably NOT sanitized. 1 set of towels and 1/2 roll.of toilet paper! Staff is nice though
I had to go out my room and to the lobby 🙄 because they dont have microwaves in the room, but refrigerator. Only one towel and I called for more. The indoor pool was 🥶 including the jacuzzi also wasnt hot. You have to pay for breakfast, but most hotels give free continental breakfast. I wont be going back 😂 so unorganized.
Positive: it was clean and had a nice fitness center. The workers were very pleasant
Dirty, run down and overpriced. Housekeeping is non existent even if you try to schedule it like they ask you to do. They dont pay attention to communication through the app and fail to recognize your Marriott status.
Positive: Amenities and staff Negative: Many issues. Booked a suite w/sofabed and was downgraded. No hot water. No comforter for bed. Only one towel. No microwave. Reserved pool time but there were 7 others in the pool, so no social distancing. Emailed management but never received a response.
Very clean. Staff was friendly and professional. Quiet. We will be staying here again as we have family living close by.
One of the worst Marriott stays ever. The only plus was that both front desks clerks seemed so very kind. I’m so glad I didn’t waste any of my points here however not thrilled to have paid $180. Dirty. Pullout sofa had no sheets. After two asks did get sheets but was told no pillows available. NoMicrowaves in the room. Refrigerator was broken. Blood stain on the bathroom floor. Only two towels in the room. Hand towels he terrible water stains on them and the shower curtain as well. Terrible smell in the hotel and extremely dirty carpet. This was no more than an overpriced comfort inn. Mariott is one I’ve never had to check reviews for - not so much anymore. The floors in the elevator and hallway were full of dirt and debris as early as 7 am. No cleaning was evident and I saw no signs of it beginning. The balcony was full of cigarette butts. The most disappointing Marriott stay in all of my history with them.
Made a reservation several days prior to my stay with Dayuse.com for a room from 8am-6pm. The reservation was for $75 plus taxes. The day of my reservation I called a few hours prior to my arrival and confirmed my stay. When I arrived the lady at the front desk said the did not have my reservation. I showed the lady at the desk my confirmation email. I was told I could have a room. The room was clean however the television did not work and the dresser was missing a drawer handle. The hotel staff was vacuuming right outside my door but that is to be expected for a day use room. When I went to check out I was told that I could not get a receipt. I asked about my $75 charge that I was confirmed with the email I received. I was told I would get an email from Marriott with the total charges. My bank account has been charged $110! It has been four days and I still have yet to receive the email with the charges. I am a healthcare worker and one of my coworkers uses a rival hotel two doors down from the Marriott in Gastonia and only gets charged $55 for daytime use. I will not return to Marriott in Gastonia nor will I refer anyone to this hotel. I will be filling a grievance with my bank account and I expect to hear from Marriott with a solution to this problem.
Zero stars. I came from Florida to meet family from Ohio.. pool was closed which defeats the purpose of staying since we had kids. The manager gives me a a discount for complaining about the pool but then not my family. My tub was stayed with blue spots all over. The a.c never got my room cool so we were uncomfortable all night. Then the ice machine of my floor didn’t work so we had to get it from the highest floor. Why just why… wouldn’t they tell you this before you get here smh. But then won’t issue a refund because THAT IT SAYS ON THE WEBSITE… terrible
Its certainly nicer than the Fairfield next door, but I had a lot of problems with the wifi. The room was quite nice though, and the staff is very friendly.I requested extra pillows but they never managed to get it during the 3 days I was there
This was a bit of a comedy show immediately after walking through the front doors...guy at the front desk explained that there was no breakfast tomorrow because the lady who does it sprained her ankle...the elevator and our entire floor REEKED of marijuana...no linens in our room...no sheets for the sleeper sofa...none of the bedside or desk receptacles worked...on and on...
Hot tub was shut down by the cityHotel and rooms were dirtyShort staffedLack of communication between staff membersThe staff that was there did their best to manage running a full hotel without proper resourcesTime for Marriott to step up with a plan to support their employees and provide the customers with a clean, updated comfortable place to stay
I only stayed one night just so me and my husband can have a piece of mind to get away from negative energy from other places. what i can say is there housekeepers need to clean there tubs out more offent there was mold in there from where they were not cleaning good. And spray for roaches as well dont have them didnt dring them with me and dont want to take them home with me.
Most disappointing Marriott weve ever visited.Bed was comfortable and sheets were clean. But...Mid-level management was rude.Stairwell (which we used to get our room and avoid management in the lobby) was stinky like bleach and whatever the bleach was used to kill.Room was outdated and dark.Bathroom had two towels (for a room with two queen beds), no bath mat, and no soap or hair products. And the shower had two shower heads, which sounds nice but was overwhelming, in a way. Bathroom was similar to the one in a hospital; not the place I want to freshen up at the end of a day of travel, nor how I want to start my day. Oh, and no exhaust fan.
Never have I spent the night in a worse hotel. No air conditioning, no internet service, had to beg for towels and sheets which werent provided for the pull out bed we had asked for. Nothing to eat anywhere except a poorly stocked cooler behind the desk. Basically no breakfast except cold cereal and outrageous prices for that. Couldnt access the pool without signing up and it was full, so no pool for the kids. Dirty and vague smell. Phone in room did not work. NO COFFEE>
Its your typical Courtyard Marriott. Nothing to fancy here. The things that stood out to me during my 24hr stay was that in my room the outlets by the bed were broken and not working. Luckily the floor lamps had built in outlets for my phone which in all made it a minor inconvenience if anything. Clean room and well kept they took the time to make it spotless. If above all the staff were some of the friendliest Ive meet across my travels. Super nice, polite and helpful and should be awarded as such for it. Their willingness and warm spirits make up for anything that was out of whack. Will stay there again for sure
Positive: The staff was about the only positive but our interaction there was very limited so that¿s not saying a lot. Negative: The place smells like an old hotel. The minute you walk through the door the smell hits you. It¿s that old hotel smell that lingers in your clothes and your suitcase for days. The common areas were nice but the cushions were worn and the fabric faded.
Positive: The lady who takes care of the bistro in the morning was lovely. The lobby is also nice and there is plenty of parking Negative: The hotel was dirty. Our room had dog urine/feces stains on the walls, floors and furniture. The sheets were stained. There was thick dust on the lamps and clock radios. Hair in the shower. The toilet was clogged and they handed us a plunger to fix it.
About as average as it gets. My room was supposed to have a microwave; it didnt. Lots of technical issues with the tiny TV Ive never had elsewhere. The restaurant advertised on their site is actually closed; they have a sign up implying its only closed for the day, but they leave it up every day.Despite all that its okay. Just nothing special, maybe a little overpriced unless you get a good discount somehow.
There was smoking on my hall. The hotel management did a search in all the rooms on the floor. A lot of activity in the middle of the night. Decent hotel but could use some updating.
Had an epic time, it was amazing!!! Priceline saves 10.00 but you have to okay 200.00 deposit. Font book through priceline, book directly through hotel. 25.00 deposit. You have to wait 48 hours to get your money back otherwise
The staff at this hotel were very friendly and professional. However, next to my bed i saw what I thought was a pen and went to retrieve it only to find out it was a feminine product instead!
It smelled funky in the room and the carpet smelled in the hall like it was moldy and musty
Overall it was a good stay, you can tell a small child was in the room. Housekeeping didnt really clean like they should have. There were stains and dried Miscellaneous stuff on the chairs, walls, outlets, TV etc. Made me question the cleanliness of the room.
Nice hotel but my back was hurting the next morning. The staff was nice and accommodating.
Nice room. Friendly service.
Positive: Location, staff was amazing, bed was super comfortable! Tons of amenities. Negative: I found some fruit under the dresser and a pair of sunglasses on the side of the bed, makes me wonder how well the rooms are being cleaned.
Check in was easy and a breeze. Once we (wife and 15 month old daughter) received our room key we proceed to our room. Once at the room we inserted our key fob and entered the room that someone else was already occupying. We leave quickly and head back to the front desk. The gentleman at the desk was apologetic and offered to put us in another room minus a balcony (my request when originally booking) and also offered a reduced rate because of the mistake. We agree take the key and proceed to our room. Upon entering the room had a odd smell but at the point Im getting tired and just want to shower and go to bed. Before putting my daughter in the bed I look it over to make sure its clean and to my surprise in the middle of the comforter we find a wet stain. I call down to the desk and request a new comforter. A new comforter was brought to the room in just a few mins. I put on the new comforter and my wife goes to the bathroom to shower. She immediately comes back out and says theres a roach in the bathroom. I asked if it was dead or alive and she says not a insect roach but a marijuana roach. I take a pic of the roach and head to the front desk. I show the guy working and explain to him there is no way this room was cleaned correctly or they would have seen it. He told me the computer says its clean so its been cleaned. He offered to move me to another room however at this point I just wanted to get my family out of this place. I was charged $400.00 and was told I should get my money refunded on Monday from my bank.
Windows were not even cleaned. Looks like someone poured grease on the balcony walls. This looks like the run down hood hotels smh.
Positive: Not much staff was courteous upon arrival Negative: I wasn¿t informed upon check in that I would need to request housekeeping! The refrigerator was absolutely discussting had not been cleaned! No microwave in the room
Negative: Deposit and room wasnt cleaned they forgot to clean it. Wont stay there again.
This was one of the worst experiences Ive had at any of the Marriott branded properties. It was obvious that this is an older building, and the renovations couldnt hide that fact. The rooms had a unpleasant odor, the beds were lopsided and the pillows were flat. My wife and our children stayed in a room together and we had to go down to the lobby to request additional towels and toilet paper because the room was only half stocked. The balcony would have been a nice amenity except for the years of cigarette butts put out on the walls and the trash that had been thrown on the roof beyond our balcony railing. The COVID measures (not that I care particularly) were half measures at best with little to no enforcement. All in all, this was a poorly managed property, and not befitting of the Marriott brand.
Surprised pool was open. You have to schedule your time slot but its nice to have the pool for just your group. Up to 12! Great getaway.
The gym was filthy and hot. Looked like it had not been cleaned in a while and there was nothing for the guests to use to clean the equipment when they were done. Trash and lollipop sticks were on the floor. AC was apparently broken. It was hot as he$$ in there.
Positive: Extremely clean. Comfortable beds. Great water pressure in the showers. Loved the cute pull out couch. Negative: Way too much chlorine in the pool. We couldnt swim long because it burned. I asked for a portable crib and was told ot was being sanitized but they never brought it. The elevator was broken.
Pretty old hotel. Not the best part of town. It was convenient to where I had business though so theres that.
I checked in the girl swiped my card twice said it didnt work the first time. So they held $525 of my money for a 1 night stay and I had to borrow money to get home. The manager said it was fixed and I have yet to get my money back. I just called and now they are saying they did the wrong card and I have to wait 5 to 7 days. I will never stay there again and will tell everybody who will listen not to either
The Courtyard was wonderful. The rooms were clean and stocked with the necessary items. The balcony and double shower heads were a bonus. It even smelled good in the halls and elevators. You can tell that the staff care about their facility. No complaints.
Negative: Hot tub not operable, hotel ran out of clean towels, did not clean our room as we requested, microwave was filthy, toilet clogged twice
My husband and I stayed here last month and we were very pleased with everything. We decided to stay here again this week. The pool was open this time and I was excited! However, the water was green and the 12 people/1hour limit was not enforced at all. We arrived at check in time and were told to come back in an hour because the room wasnt ready yet. We returned an hour later to find that it still wasnt ready. The lady at the front desk offered a discount yet we did not get it because our bill was higher than our last stay. We stayed 2 nights both times and stayed in the exact same room. The front TV didnt work and we were told the maintenance man that fixes the TVs would not be back until after we were going to leave. Luckily my husband was able to fix it. There was only one remote for both TVs. We were told there was a gaming station in the room, it was not. The other guests were in the pool long after time for it to be closed and they were loud and smoking pot in the courtyard well after 2 am. We called the front desk yet nothing was done. Needless to say we didnt get any sleep and were very disappointed with our stay.
First of all the pull out bed was nastyThen 3 days later they stole 200 dollars from my account talking about smokingWhen i asked for proof (because i was there with my kids and didnt smoke in there) the manager Parniel or Darniel was very rude and told me basically that he didnt have to show me anything ....really horrible experience I feel like i have been cheated and would not recommend any one stay there
Appears to follow covid regulations but cant even maintain their pool reservations or the pool limitLobby seems clean but the rooms are gross, with clearly stained furniture and obviously not cleaned seeing as how we found evidence of drug use in our room (with our four young ones in tow as witnesses)We were at the hotel for an hour and then the whole floor started to smell like weed, you could actually SEE the smoke in the air! The elevators were also full of smoke!Marriott should be embarrassed to own this hotel.
Young man at the front desk was slow and no breakfast came with the room.
This place is super awesome 😎. The clerks at the front desk are professionals at what they do. Just a lil back story the first time I stayed, there was a very very rude human being in line saying really harsh words to the young lady and this clerk was as calm and collected as any of us would in this situation. She still help this unruly human after all this she still wished them a good day...woooo by raise of hands how many would have excepted the offer to play the yelling game lol. But back to the topic the beds are comfortable the facility is always neat and tidy I recommend it to anyone that wants to get away and relax, oh yeah they have jacuzzi rooms that are worth the pay and stay...take someone special even if its not the occasion and make memories or great dreams. And to all that read this post spread peace and 💕 to receive the same..
Descent place not too expensive, definitely a good choice for the cost.
Purnel very rude not cool
Very nice, we had a few snafews, we made reservations for a king with a pull out for 2 nights. Our first night we had a king with a chair, my son stayed with his brother instead. Heather and staff moved us to a two queen the second night. We were disappointed that when we moved the desk chair there were crumbs on carpet, we also found an earing back on floor, and saw a bug. We hoped Marriott would be sanitary for CoVid. Looked clean otherwise and was comfy. Again, great staff!
I felt safe and secure it was clean and I would love to go back to it again
I spoke with who claimed to be the GM Purnell at 7pm on May 26th. He was rude unhelpful and overall disrespectful. I stay at Marriott properties all over the East Coast and this is probably or last visit.
This establishment is very unprofessional. I left a review a week ago that got deleted by the “owner.” I will now be taking my complaint up to corporate because my review was too honest and people need to know how blatantly disgusting this hotel really is.
Positive: The location is nice. Negative: The staff was terrible and nowhere to be found and out of coffee.
The rooms are nice, spacious and cozy. The maids are very sweet. And the pool area and outside the pool area is beautiful..
One of the best 3-star hotels I have ever been to. All the staff members were friendly. My highest kudos goes to the front desk staff member, Brandon. Before I booked a room, I called and asked several questions which he did his best to answer. Very professional guy. I would go as far as saying that hes the best hotel concierge I have ever dealt with.
I understand about the covid-19, but no service. One day of cleaning our room in a week. We had to beg to clean. All they did was make the bed and trash. Never again
Positive: I loved how quickly the check in process was and how friendly the staff were. The room was very light and airy. Very clean Negative: I did not like how the cafe only had pre-made sandwiches for breakfast.
Friendly staff and nice rooms for the price
Positive: Customer service was very good Negative: No
We had a great stay this time! Last time it seemed like some of the les desirables were hanging around parking lot etc! this visit was outstanding!!!
I an highly dissatisfied with the quality and cleanliness of this Marriott. I rented the suite. When I entered the room I found two plastic bottles in the meeting room under and around the sofa. In the bedroom was a bottle cap from a glass bottle of tea plus a phone charger. The receptacles in the bath area were not working and a total of 5-6 were not working throughout the suite. The furniture looked like it was picked up at a goodwill store. It had been beaten nearly to death. The lampshades were also destroyed. I was not impressed and will not visit this location again. Perhaps the Hilton would be better suited to my needs.
Still stealing money from our account. Contacting corporate, authorities and BBB
Pool not heated, and pool floor is slippery. Other than that a very nice place to stay.
Second time staying in this hotel and the experience is was very poor. I didn’t have a blow dryer in the room, the place was understaffed, had to wait for an hour for someone to find a blow dryer. There were also bugs in the bad tubs and horrible lighting in the room. Will not stay here again.
Dirty. Mold in shower. If this is Extra COVID-19 Clean Id hate to see normal clean. But so much chlorine in pool your eyes are burning when you walk by, kids wanted to get out of pool because it was hurting.
Horrible rooms, they control the air conditioning so it goes off no matter the temp. Also toilet over flowed and I told the desk, came back to my room the toilet flushed however they left the mess. Wont be staying at this location again
Positive: Staff was friendly. Negative: Nothing
Positive: The check in was fast and effecient. My room was spectacuarly clean and peaceful. The staff was friendly and answered my questions wonderfuly.
Overall our stay was good. I think it was very consistent with the price we paid. The hotel was clean, the front desk was very kind and efficient. Our sleeping area was nice in our room, I think my only disappointment was the bathroom. It was definitely old and the tile floor was not clean and the toilet seat didnt match the toilet, it was not nice. But we were still pleased with our stay. The hotel was fully booked, so we werent able to use the pool and hot tub because it was over run with loud guests, so that wasnt great as well.
BEAUTIFUL place just not enough sugar for coffee
Hotel is much better from the inside! Room was great and bed was comfy. Air conditioner worked amazingly!
Positive: Do not stay here they think it¿s 5 star is not even 2 . Negative: Was not happy with the location of hotel management very unprofessional
The hotel was amazing! The staff was top notch! We had to drive from Mi for a emergency with our mom in the CICU. They hotel staff offered any support needed. They gave us a huge discount being that we were in a emergency situation. The rooms were super clean, beds are very comfortable & the pool area was amazing....so our kids told us! I would definitely like to let all of you at the Gastonia NC know how much my family & I appreciate you all being so kind & gracious to us in such a dark desperate time!! May you all have a million blessings a million times over!
Tough times were in, and rooms are being recycled constantly as some hotels only use a portion of their rooms now. Unfortunately my room had some minor cleaning quirks and crumbs left from the former guests when I checked in.A manager came to check which was nice, but I kind of felt awkward seeing as the housekeeping staff were standing in the hall kind of looking at me.I stay in a lot of hotels, and fortunately this isn’t the usual, but glad they were able to switch me into another room, which was much cleaner.
Not good. Sorry.
Pool was so strong with chlorine that the kids got in and got right back out after waiting all day for their time to come up because they couldnt breath and their eyes where watering from the burning of the chlorine! And the water its self looked yellow and dirty same for the hot tub!
My stay was very comfortable. I enjoyed the convenience of the Bistro and the indoor pool and hot tub. Also the fire pit and Gazebo. My daughter enjoyed the weight room. The staff was extraordinarily nice. As an Elite customer they honored my late checkout with no problem. Yes, I would definitely recommend this hotel to family and friends . Looking forward to my next stay.
