The best Planet fitness Ive been too, Just wish they would encourage people to whip down equipment, If people only knew how important that is ..

If you have an online bank, dont go here. They will charge you 15 extra bucks a month for not having a brick and mortar bank because it would be considered late. I had an ok experience coming in. They told me up front about this, so Ill give them that. They didnt have any other way of helping me out. So I said, Guess Ill stay fat then and left. I ended up calling them to see if I could get a manager, and they said the same thing, but this time they managed to call me a Miss when I, in fact, am very much a Sir, and got me to cry. Great going planet fitness. 👍 Way to accommodate your customers. Honestly, probably wouldnt have liked it anyway because I saw no free weights.

I love going to Planet Fitness because there’s always space for me to do my workouts where I’m not too close to anyone and I never feel like I’m being judged. The staff there is also super nice and will always help you out if you need anything. Their bathrooms and locker rooms are also always very neat and clean; and I usually hate public showers but Planet Fitness actually has very good showers and I love how they have a dispenser for shampoo and body wash in case you forget your own.

Its a safe, clean place to workout where I dont have to worry about catcalling or judgement. I feel comfortable there. All the staff at my Planet Fitness have always been extremely kind. Definitely would recommend.

I absolutely love this gym. Plenty of equipment so even when there are a lot of people you always have something to choose from.

I like this place!! Its not crowded, they have cleaning stations so we all disinfect everything we touch/use to exercise. Clean bathrooms/showers, nice massage chairs and beds. The workers are very friendly and helpful if you need them..

I enjoy #37 because of my experiences with Camille and Chad. When a machine is not functioning correctly, they go out of their way to make it rigjt!! Customer service is superior!!

Amazing staff! They remember you right away, are extremely helpful with all questions, and don’t bother you at all. Very clean gym with no broken equipment. Tanning rooms are very clean. Great selection of tanning lotion. All around great atmosphere.

The staff is always nice. When I check in, they are very welcoming. So, I feel like I can, and have, easily ask about the services provided at that specific location or about trainers and equipment, etc. Always very clean facilities, and I travel often so I use 3 different ones at the moment. Happy overall with my choice in gym.

Throughout this pandemic I think we all have been unaware of what the best possible response is. Many businesses were left with little to no answers from the government. Most of us have just tried to get through these tough times and work with everyone. Planet Fitness on the other hand has chosen to continue to focus on their customer last approach to business. PF has chosen to disconnect accounts then reinstate them with little to no communication to customers. PF has made it impossible to stop payments without walking in to the club and signing a cancellation form or sending it in via snail mail. Walked in today to be told that my next months draft had just posted a few minutes prior to my visit so we cannot cancel your next months draft. I will not and will never be recommending PF to anyone except for my worst enemies.

Just took a tour of the gym with an employee named Diggs and he was very honest and professional! He showed me all the cool things about joining the gym and I was impressed with everything they had to offer! If you are looking to take a tour I would ask for Diggs because he is the man!! I’ll definitely be joining this gym.

It was great, new to the area andfirst time there, very clean, all the equipment looked very new, everyone was wearing Mask and social distancing. Hopefully I can stay faithful and keep going trying to trim down.

Great way to get moving again or to just to start! Clean atmosphere with great six foot rule enforced. The black card membership has great perks like the hydro bed massage and tanning included.

Planet Fitness reopened and charged my card twice, once was pro-rated for one month, then charged my card again for a yearly renewal fee of $40. When I called to cancel my membership over the phone, they told me I had to come in in-person...why??? Just to tell me I couldnt get the yearly membership that I was canceling prorated or reverse back to my card. Then when I asked for the corporate number it was not given to me stating that it would just come back to the store level and he would be the person responding and this was his final answer. WOW!!! Great Customer Service at its BEST!!!

I understand we have to follow policies as far as wearing masks, but when you’re walking every 5 minutes to tell someone to put a mask on, but can’t tell me anything about the equipment when I ask questions it’s like are you really doing your job?

Very sketchy and sneaky! I received a notification that Planet Fitness in Gastonia on S New Hope charged my account after 7 or 8 months of them not being open. I called to find out why they charged me without my consent.The lady who answered told me they sent an email (which I didnt get) saying they were opening on 09/01. I told her I didnt receive it. She told me I should have checked my spam. Who checks their spam? So they have decided to sneak in an email (not by mail service) that they were opening and that you would be charged. Is that right? Think about how many people they have done this to! Called corporate and it says each planet fitness is its own franchise and to take it I with them. Planet Fitness will not receive another dime from me. Ive spoken to my bank and will be returned my $$

I was looking forward to getting back to the gym, but after how I was treated at my 2nd workout I’m not sure PF is such a good place to be. My first visit was good, and I was informed that I did not have to wear a mask as long as I was working out, and if I left my machine for any reason to just put my mask back on. During my 2nd workout I tried my best to keep my mask on at all times, but after a while of strenuous cardio it does get a little hard to breathe with the mask on. As I was working out on the elliptical I felt lightheaded so I got some water and pulled my mask down for maybe 2 minutes (while still at my own space) before an employee told me I had to put it back on. I told her I was just trying to breathe for a minute. Her response: “Ok” while rolling her eyes. I guess all the other people who had theirs down or below their nose had exemptions, but the woman who felt faint had no rights whatsoever? I’m sure I’ll be able to find friendlier service elsewhere.

Very clean, felt like they are working well at distancing and keep people safe. The staff seemed very friendly. It is an over all pleasant experience.

I understand that during this time the mask and distance thing but when your running on a treadmill mask shouldnt be mandatory, due to the state exemption that states during strenuous exercise it doesnt have to be worn. Who are they to decide whats strenuous to me.

Very rude staff. Shouldn’t the staff at a gym be encouraging and want to help?? Not here. I’ve only been a member less than 2 weeks and I’m ready to cancel. I really enjoyed working out and how I felt about myself afterward, but the staff here is just plain rude. I’ll be looking a different gym for sure.

General manager was a total dbag. Gonna have to dispute the transaction. Havent used the gym since last year and they charge accounts a yearly fee on top of a monthly fee without warning. Then they refuse to refund it. Instead they inform you have to pay your cancelation fee. No thanks. 👎

I travel a lot and this is definitely one of my favorite Planet Fitness gyms to go to. Some of the big cities have some crazy ones that dont compare, but for a small city gym, the setup is the best. The beginning of the year its always rough because the Resolution people show up and you have to wait for machines to open up, but every other time of the year, its perfect for quick workouts!I love the staff, though. Theyve been great the past couple of years Ive been coming.

I truly enjoy being a Black Card Member for this PF location! The staff is polite, some know you by name, and it is always clean. I love that I can hop in the massage/hydromassage chair after I finish my workout. I truly enjoy the PE @ PF with Judith, trainer. She is great! I just wish there were more classes throughout the week. I would definitely recommend this location to someone searching for a gym home.

Overall great gym with a reasonable membership cost. They have a good variety of machines and equipment although a few machines have only one each, making them difficult to get on during busy hours. Very friendly staff working at the front desk who typically greet you upon arrival and tell you bye when you leave. This gym is always clean and I see a lot of staff cleaning/sweeping/vacuuming frequently. Would definitely recommend this gym to anyone!

I cancelled my membership and still charged a yearly annual fee of $39. When contacting Corp. office they stated you must contact the location itself and speak with the manager. I reached out to the Gastonia, NC location that I cancelled with 12/1/19. The manager told me if i would of cancelled on 11/25/19 i would not of been billed this yearly annual fee. When asking why i could not get a refund for this, he stated this was a yearly fee and could not be refunded. I simply asked why am I paying for a yearly annual fee for the upcoming year if I have cancelled service. I was then told its just a yearly fee and not a yearly annual fee and I was then offered 3 months for free. Why do i want 3 months free, i CANCELLED my membership. I would like the yearly annual fee refunded since it is for the upcoming year just like Corp. told me it was. I like Planet Fitness but the way it is ran is a joke.....Keep the $39 bucks...but keep this bad review as well. DO BETTER......

Great place to grab a quick workout. I never have trouble getting a machine but I don’t go at peak times. Highly recommend meeting with Judith and taking her classes. She is very good and will keep you focused. Prepare to sweat! Can’t beat it for $10 a month.

It is a really clean and welcoming place. They really try to help you get fit. They dont have any kind of judgement or biased against you. Everything is just tailored to you. The staff are awesome. The equipment is nice and new. Super easy to operate. Ive never felt more at ease in workout clothes.

While the gym is well maintained and nice, the some of the policies are total BS. Was told upon signing up that in March I would only have to pay the annual fee no monthly fee. I asked several times to clarify this and got no each time. Now Im in the negative part of the fee and an overdraft fee. In response to my questions on this all I got was we cant do anything and in the agreement it says nothing either way.

This is the best gym in Westeros. You would think weirdos like giants, night walkers, or even an Imp would bother you during a vigorous workout. Sometime they even leave pizza out for you/peasants from Kings-landing. Jon Snow the manager of this establishment is one of he kindest people you’ll ever meet. They have weights here that even the Mountain/ hounds brother would lift from time to time. Summer is coming so get your workout in cause WINTER IS HERE.PS I’m a Game of Thrones fan.

A very clean gym. The trainers are amazing! Judy never makes you feel rushed, and she listens to you. PF360 is an amazing class! It is better to take the class because when class is not in session, people will use the 360 for working out and not give you access to doing the 360 the way it is designed. Locker rooms are very clean. Lots of equipment available, and the monthly price cant be beat!

I go during my lunch break. The staff is great... but people dont always re-rack weights on the smith machines, and it can get busy pretty fast. My biggest complaint though is they keep the gym WAY too hot if it werent for that I’d give it four stars easy.

Never joined a gym before but we are thoroughly loving our membership at Planet Fitness. Everybody is so friendly and cool. Love the massage bed we get to do after our workouts. Very pleased.

The staff is always very friendly & make themselves available to assist members in any way. The equipment is kept in a top-notch, clean condition. & even the diverse crowd of members that trickle in & out of the gym... Are all so very nice! This is a great place to work-out!

I really love this gym for a lot of reasons. The staff are friendly, and it feels good seeing the same people around the same times. I obviously would prefer to have a squat rack but the smith machine is OK. The reason I gave a three star review is primarily because of dress code, and the Inappropriate content on the TVs. For some reason The no sports bra rule isn’t being enforced. I have always liked going to planet fitness because I felt like I could be myself as a husband and a father and not uncomfortable being around people showing too much skin. I would really like the dress code to be enforced again. The issue I have with the shows, music videos played on the TV is that they show so much raunchy, nasty I would really like the dress code to be enforced again. My goal is to get in shape, serve the Lord, and become a better person. Because of these issues, I am considering going to a different gym that lines up more with my values. Most of the time I can focus and try not to look at the TVs, but I know people who attend this gym who have also had the same issue. Please change this, because I really like coming here.

I go 1 or 2 am most cases based off my schedule & its perfect. Not crowded I guess the night owls have a kinship because everyone is to themselves but courteous & ample space leads to efficient quick sessions devoted to what you showed up to do. The staff at night is top notch very cool guy super helpful former military we talk often & the place is clean the WiFi is excellent strength water is cold weights a plenty cant go wrong with this place

As far as planet fitness locations are concerned, its very large with ample amounts of equipment. They dont seem to be concerned about the cleanliness of the locker rooms as other locations across the country. The staff seem to be happy doing nothing behind the front counter. Time to lean? Time to clean! Also, it is the first location Ive been to that does not sell towels. Weird.

Front desk staff wasnt friendly at all. I spoke to and they looked at me like I was crazy. I told them it wont hurt to speak. About five paper towel holders were empty and the staff only replaced one. Never checked to see if any of the others were out. Front desk staff that worked on Sunday November 17th between 10am-1pm need to focus more on making sure the gym is stocked and clean instead of having personal conversations at the front desk.

If youre going there for the weightlifting, its pretty good. Albeit, sometimes you gotta wait a while for someone to get done with the weights or machine. Same thing cant be said about the treadmills, though. Only 10% work fine, and the other 90% all have something wrong with them, it seems(unless Im just unlucky in the ones i choose). Some are down for maintenance, some make a loud whining noise when in use, some cant have the elevation adjusted, and some are missing buttons(i might be missing some stuff). Tl:dr, the weights are pretty good, the treadmills suck, they need repair or to be replaced.

Plenty of machines. No wait. Friendly staff. Adrienne is the best trainer ever. She was patient, answered all questions, and helped design a program that fits my needs.

The Gastonia location is a large, well air conditioning space. All the equipment is in great condition, and if I didnt live so far away from this location I would come here every day. Great job Planet Fitness!

Friendly staff. Gym is good if you can avoid the crowds. Worst time begins around 4 pm week days. You’ll wait 15-20 minutes after each exercise to get equipment.

I usually use the Rock Hill lo action, but wanted to try Gastonia out. Gotta say, like the stand up tanning, and the different layout. Aqua massage chairs vs. Bed is nice as well.

Honestly nothing special here. I go in, work out, leave. There isnt really any particular employee that cares about what goes on in the place. Its all very individual. However, its also cheap, so I dont really expect much more.I am confused about 1 thing:We use paper towels all over the gym to wipe down equipment... Why do the bathrooms have air driers. Those things just push around bacteria and spread sickness. Only real complaint.

First visit to sign up. I was greeted by Madison who was knowledgeable and helpful. She provided me a tour of the facility and aside from the required parts of the tour she was courteous and helpful. She answered all my questions and did so with a smile. She was a good rep for the company. Ive never gone to a gym before and I found this facility clean and bright and apparently well managed. People of all different ages were there and the atmosphere was truly non-judgmentalIm getting prepared to start my membership, yes I signed up for the black card, and will re-post as necessary.

As far as Planet Fitness goes, its a very good gym; spacious, lots of equipment, clean locker rooms. Most of the time everything is in working order but sometimes they seem slow to fix equipment. It can be crowded in the evenings, especially at the beginning of the week. This is a 24 hour gym. I used to belong to the YMCA and youd be surprised how often youll show up 20 mins before closing time. With a 24 gym, you never have to worry about when they open or close. I travel a lot for work and find the Black Card membership more than pays for itself and I love the massage equipment available to Black Card members.

Equipment in very good condition. Only complaint is no free-weight barbell for bench press. Locker rooms/restrooms are clean and well kept. Good staff
