Our driver was John! Great guy, very knowledgeable of area and history of NC. Used Metro taxi and got the same driver every time on time!Will be using this business every time in town!

Id like to say first and foremost my wife, are friend and me had a flight change way earlier than we would like. We tried to book an uber/lyft and nothing was garenteed. Our hotel gave us 2 cab companies we called metro cab and came to pick us up within 10 minutes.the driver was very nice and the cab was roomier enough for me to fit in the back. We were going to make the early pain in the neck flight. But it wasnt that simple, I got all the way though tsa and found my phone missing. I contacted them and I just got my phone shipped back to me today! Thank you so much guys!!!

I have used this service every month for years. Sent my daughter and her friend to get take out and the cab driver was lewd and suggestive to my daughters friend to the point that she had a melt down once she returned home. The worst part is that we will have no alternative to the driver because they only have one driver at night/early morning. I wouldnt recommend sending your daughters with this service. I plan to call the owner in the morning... Not a happy mom for sure.Amended Review:The driver came back and apologized. We worked it out and my girls and I are satisfied that the situation was taken care of.

I use Metro Cab once a week. They are always on time, polite, clean, & drive the fastest route to get you to your destination. I have been driven by multiple drivers and all have been very nice, they drive safely, and make you feel comfortable. I would recommend them to anyone. These drivers have truly gone above and beyond with them customer service. Honestly it is the best cab service you can get!!!

My first cab ride. Its not like on TV..its so much better. The drive actually talks to you and makes you feel comfortable and happy...yea i got to my destination on time ina very clean taxi cab with a funny clean cut driver that had me laughing all the way..HIGHLY RECOMMENDED...

Very dependable. Very nice drivers and will get you there fast.. only thing I have to say that dropped one star from this review is the prices are a bit high. But Im sure it takes alot to operate the cars.

Our driver was very kind. He allowed my husband and I to sit in his cab while we waited for the tow truck, as it was cold outside and we wouldnt have been able to run the heat in our own vehicle! He was very thoughtful and held good conversation with us while we waited; when he could have dropped us off after getting his cab fare. We were actually getting out, when he insisted we stay.

I called in for a ride and the cab driver did not call to let me know he was outside...came honking like crazy like we were in New York to come outside. The ride was $20.00 to and from Walmart up the street from my house. I specifically told the cab driver that I was going to Walmart to put cash on my card. When the cab driver dropped me off back home he told me he only accepts cash. I explained to him that I do not carry cash I only had a card. Cab driver told me that I should have told them that I have a card when I called in, I told him that when I called in they should have asked me if I had cash or card. He also expected me to give him 10 more dollars for taking me two minutes up the street to get cash off of my car for the destination that he was supposed to originally drop me off at...PLEASE TAKE AN UBER OR LYFT....there services are way better.

Been riding with metro on n off for many years they always been reliable friendly. The owner i believe his name is subhan is always polite gentalman along with day shift never had any problems getting a cab or having nice conversation with driver and whenever im needing a cab nite they always been quick n very prompt so if anyone needing a ride i will defently tell u go with metro i will never use a uber or lyft tried tipsy before dispatcher is rude dont care for drivers

Great service, everyone was nice and friendly. The driver arrived earlier then what the dispatcher said, but I liked that. The prices are a bit high but I didnt mind because of the great service.

In 2017 my husband and I moved to an 82-unit complex off of Shannon-Bradley after he was hired to be the live-on-site maintenance man there.However, while we did have a motor home, we didnt have a car with which to go shopping, out to eat, etc. A neighbor recommended Metro Cab, and this turned out to be a great recommendation! :)We used Metro Cab at least once and sometimes twice each week from July 2017 to September 2018 when we finally bought a car, and we were never dissatisfied with their service.The drivers were polite, respectful, often funny, and had no problem engaging in conversations on any given topic (as long as it was a topic appropriate for mixed company, that is). Sometimes the conversation would be so entertaining that we wouldnt want to get out of the cab. Lol.Also, none of the drivers ever took the long way around to get us to our destination. Each was honest regarding using the shortest route possible, keeping our cost down.One thing that I admired about this company was that if the number of cab drivers was low on any given day, the owner, Subhan, and his manager, Sammy, would be driving right along with every other cab driver that day while also remotely-managing the business calls.Now THATS dedication and giving a darn about your customers!I do apologize for the lateness of this review but, late or not, people should know that Metro Cab is safe to use, honest, and reliable.Yes, a cab driver can get bogged down in traffic but this is a rarity, not the norm. However, since you never know when it might happen, just call for your cab about 45 minutes before the time at which you need to leave home. (And the cab driver WILL call you when he arrives...which is often EARLIER than you requested!)So go shopping...buy that ice cream and that package of frozen mozzarella sticks...then call Metro Cab just before paying for your things...and rest easy that you WILL get home before anything frozen thaws out.I speak from experience! :)P.S.Subhan: Even though we have our own vehicle, we are still telling others about using your cab service. Your company is better than any other company weve ever used and weve used a LOT of them in various states!Sammy: Hope youre finally getting to break in at least some of the newly-bought vehicles by now. Nice cab mostly on time

I waited all night for a cab to come and they NEVER showed up. The dispatch said he was the only one driving and that there was no other drivers. I called them several times to let them know a cab never came. He kept saying he was coming and NEVER showed up. I ended up having to walk to my destination. I was fed up and tired. I give this cab company 7 thumbs down👎👎👎👎👎👎👎. They arent organized nor are they prepared to take anyone any where. This has happened several times with this company. I will NOT be calling them again

I just want to say my driver was a man who listened to some of my going throughs of life and was a complete gentlemen... I will use this service again and recommend it... The driver actually cared about our conversation and I felt our meeting was not just by chance, He inspired me to want to do more with myself... What an amazing experience as Im not use to taxis except years ago when I use to go to NY lol.. and Im thankful these gentlemen are nothing like those... Nothing I would change

Wow now thats A1 service. Called and was told 20 min and they were there in like 5. And i was ready to go so he wouldnt have to wait on me thank goodness. He was a courteous and safe driver too. That earned him a tip for helping me unload. Would feel bad not tipping him since he helped me. Was informed that they have new drivers and restructured the way they handle calls so all customers will be picked up within a reasonable time.. So all in all it was a great experience taking this cab and i will be definitely be calling them back and referring my friends and family.

I am truckdriver, had an issue with the truck and driving a daycab I had to get a room for the night, my cabby John Boy stopped by the auto parts store on the way to the hotel so I could pick-up the tools I needed to fix the truck. Very friendly and professional . Keep up the good work John Boy #44.

Just Awful! Terrible Dispatch, Rude & Discourteous Night Driver, Old Vans with difficult doors that driver refuses to help passenger open, and over an hour wait for cab when told an estimated wait of 30 minutes. The dispatcher and driver are same person over night. He needs to work on his customer service skills. The over night driver refuses to give change under a dollar back to customer, so even if your fare is $9.05, youll get charged $10 because driver feels he has the right to round up and charge passengers to the next dollar, as he claims Not to carry change. I would have tipped him a few dollars on my own, had he treated me with any respect. I tolerated this driver and cab company because I was in a bind. If I could give ZERO stars I would. Cab companies like this are the reason why Uber and Lyft are better options. NEVER AGAIN!

I can not believe this is the best and only real taxi service that services gastonia, lincolnton, kings MTN and shelby or actually anywhere you live if you agree to the price. I have been using them for over 5 yrs now and last week I got an answer why I can not sit in the front seat. If it is not leather it can not be sterilized after something nasty gets on it and that is for my protection. I agree 110% after told that. Its like a public toilet seat made of cloth. Anyways. I have never had an issue with this honest business. Yes honest because I left my wallet in back seat and yes it was returned untouched. Well I had to pick it up actually. Who does that these days..METRO CAB does. Thank you METRO CAB for having a clean honest business . 5 stars for you and many many more rides from me.😉 Your friend Mr Airman

I called in 1 hour and 20 minutes ahead of time. The cab driver was 27 minutes late, and I was 15 minutes late for work. The best part was the indifference in the voice of the manager, and the fact that the cab driver lied and told him that he was on time. I absolutely loath this company and I would only recommend them if hell froze over, or if you have absolutely no problem being late, treated like nothing more than a meal ticket, and will pay full price for their crap services.

The dispatcher has issues. Everytime I try to get a ride, he says its going to be 15 to 20 minutes. After 45 minutes of waiting, I call him back to see whats going on. Everytime, he says I never called cause its not showing up on his call log and what makes it worse is his attitude. I dont understand why he hasnt been fired because Ive spoke to several drivers that have the same complaint about him. Very bad for buisiness
