Was a member for 20+ years and signed up for a guest pass to see what the protocols were and if Id be comfortable coming back. Its all about the sales pitch, they told me I couldnt use it. Lost a new membership for being petty. Oh well

Returning to LA was easy, the gentleman at the front (I think he said his name was Juan) made coming back professionally enjoyable. He also lightly encouraged me to workout harder, which would be right on brand. I used to work at LA fitness selling memberships, and the people at the front didnt do anything like that, so kudos to him.

Great clean gym. The only complaint I have is that the music is turned way up so I can’t hear my music over theirs. Can they turn it down? Nope. They suggest headphones. I buy headphones still can’t hear.

One of the worst L.A Fitness you could got to. The Manager is the worst. Its like dealing with a toddler. Talks about social distancing but yet if you go to the weight room no one is 6ft apart. I remember one time asking him for paper towels because there was none on any of the stations, and he replied that it wasnt his job to refill the paper towels. I rarely see anyone clean the equipment. He never wants to talk to the customers to fix the issue. Its like he has to be right. Also threatens us to take down the basketball hoop if we dont listen to him. Says he is enforcing social distancing but when I go to the sauna there is like 8 people in there at once. Manager is not that friendly. You can tell when he is in a bad mood. This is how yall want L.A Fitness to be represented. Honestly there are other L.A Fitness that are better but this is the closes to me. I have been coming here for 5 years. This is just getting old dealing with a manager that probably hates his job. Change needs to be made at this L.A Fitness. Dont let one rotten apple ruin this gym. Something needs to be done. Hopefully someone above him sees this and fixes the issue.

Sat 9:15am cycle class was AWESOME!!! I enjoyed how the instructor engaged the class and I really enjoyed the playlist. Extremely motivating, different genres of music from different eras. Very diverse... EXCELLENT!!! LAF!!!

I would ignore those who whine about social distancing in the weight room. People are going to do what feels comfortable to them. But I find it hard to get closer than 6 feet from someone else the way equipment is spaced. If you are concerned then ask someone to give you space.It is one of the cleaner clubs with a pool better managed than most locations.However, they seem to dismiss maintenance requests from older members with gray hair. I have given them written instructions, shown them what needs to be fixed, and even how to fix it. So here is my old mans rant to staff: I was designing missiles for Texas Instruments when you was still crapping yaller. So I know what I am talking about.

Very good and clean gym. Big with good variety of machines, free weights and cardiovascular machines. Also swimming pool and a jacuzzi, sauna, basketball court, classes room and squash courts.

The owner has upgraded a lot of his equipment still all free weights. New plates, new dumbbells, new gym wear, multiple supplement choices. Any questions you need answered ask him and ask for a workout routine schedule.

Effective workouts and they show you how to properly perform the exercise. It’s great if you’re aiming to lose weight or gain muscle.

Great gym! I definitely recommend going in the morning if you prefer less crowded during the week.

Nice, new equipment. Most of the weight machines are Hoist 👍. Plenty of free weights and benches for the number of people there too. Also has the new Matrix cardio equipment as well.

This is by far the worst LA Fitness in the DFW. The sanitation routine is very poor. At night time the locker rooms normally remain fithly. Weights are not well kept, and there berber any equipment disinfectant supplies. To add to the madness there’s NO PICKUP BASKETBALL ALLOWED here. Management believes the basketball courts are for strength and cycling activities. Poorly ran GYM

It’s a great place to take your kids for swimming lessons and I like the instructors. Only bad thing is that you pay $150 a month and the kids have to change in tents that are located in the swimming pool area and they don’t allow them to take a shower... They also have a sign saying that they offer swimming lessons with the LA fitness logo so I feel like they should allow your child to have privacy when changing and allow them to take a shower. Also, the people selling memberships are annoying because they constantly bother you asking if you have a membership yet..

It can get really crowded. But overall, good experiences.

Amazing! Large, open floor plan, clean, organized weights, a heavy bag(uncommon in local gyms), helpful staff, and they let me try a free day pass. Im definitely going back.

I hate the hours, they close so early on weekends

La fitness has everything a person wanting a good gym would want and like. 3 lane pool. Raquetball courts. Free weights. Machines with pulleys. Steam room. Cardio equipment. ...what are waiting for???Plus you can go to any gym with a certain membership 🙂

I’ve been to other gyms and LA fitness is in my opinion one of the best. I just would have liked for the pool to be bigger because everyone seems to want to go swim these days.

Great LA Fitness! Mario is always happy to see me and takes time to say hello. Equipment is clean and up to date. There is also Safe Splash Swim School at this location. The swim coaches are really great too.

Never have i felt like i got my moneys worth out my personal training subscription, until i trained with Michael W. at this location. This is a good location. Everything is kept clean and in working order. They have plenty of cardio machines on the second floor, as well as free weights in the back.

The GM was great at setting me up and showing me around the place. Even gave me a free protein shake for signing up! Join now guys this place will be crowded soon.

Some employees can be very friendly and helpful. Today I was over charged for the membership so I called the location, the employee answered the phone rude without any greeting. Then he looked up the account and found the problem and said that I would probably be getting a refund. Then all of a sudden he hung up the phone on me, thought he would call back because maybe it was a mistake but never got the call back. They workout group classes are fun!

Best LA Fitness in Texas. Very clean very tidy everything is always clean and the staff is EXCELLENT well worth the money.

Was a member of this club for one year.The good: cleanliness, equipment is kept in good repair, personal trainer Tony was excellent.The not so good:“Workout mating rituals”.The very not good:When it comes time to cancel your membership and personal training contracts, the front desk person and the personal training sales person will tell you they are going to cancel the appropriate contract blah, blah, blah, but in actuality don’t take action to cancel, and keep charging your payment method. You must send a letter to the addresses listed in your contract by certified return receipt mail, along with a copy of the contract. It’s in the fine print of the contract. You have to send two letters if you also have a personal training contract, as there are two separate addresses, one for each contract.

Today was my first time coming here and I was very impressed. The place is plenty big and very clean. The step class was fun. The staff was very nice and treated me well, even considering I signed up through my health insurance and not directly through them. They were very helpful with signing me up for the kids klub, which is a very reasonable price. I look forward to coming here often.

The Garland location has the best pool!Clean, well managed and they even have a juice bar.

Ive been going the past few months and love it here. Nice staff, relaxed environment, and decent amount of machines. They normally only have 1 or 2 theyre servicing otherwise the machines are all working. Love doing Yoga with Paige on Saturdays. Tried a cycling class and the instructor loaned me an extra seat cushion hers.

It would be even better if at least the place would close at 12:00 am or at 1:00 am other than that the place is pretty good same the people that work there

Ive been an LA fitness member for over 6 years and I travel throughout the metroplex to several different locations and this by far has the worst experience. My car was in the shop for a week so I didnt have my key tag and two of the employees kept insisting I download the app or pay for a new tag in order to check in. I dont want to put an additional app on my phone and Im not required to per our membership agreement but they insisted that I do it and every time I refused they would give me a hard time. Today I came to the gym to workout and apparently it is closed for maintenance. I asked them how I would have known this and they told me an email was sent but would not give me the date or time that this email was sent. No email was sent so I showed up to a gym that was closed without any communication.

It was a good workout I just dont think I should charge you if you dont come

Staff at the front desk was very helpful, and my observation of the fitness center is well organized

It’s a decent gym But it’s location to the freeway and some sketchy neighborhoods makes it a terrible gym to visit. I have been personally robbed twice and my girlfriend once here. I occasionally see clothes and papers on the floor which tells me theft is highly active. I do not recommend this gym unless part of your workout is stressing about missing documents and calling the police to make a report on the (exaggerated) millionth robbery.

My daughter is taking swimming lessons here and since I am a swimmer myself, we would come in 30 minutes early so I can swim with her. A staff member approached me saying my daughter can’t swim with me because she’s not under LA Fitness’s Insurance and they have to be 14 years old and above (basically kicking my 8 year old daughter out of the pool). There were two boys under the age of 14 swimming in the pool with us, I don’t see them getting kicked out of the pool. I wasn’t trying to argue with this man and I didn’t even question him. He kept on going how “he actually owns the pool”. Luckily it was already 5:30pm and it was time for my daughter to move 2 lanes over to start her swimming lesson. I’m pretty sure nobody mentioned this to me when I signed up for membership.

The place is ok. Nothing special. We canceled our membership, but an error had them still charging us. After responding to their letter, and providing documentation with corporate, they still failed to properly cancel it and wanted to charge extra fees. We had multiple recorded phone calls with them as evidence, but it took half a dozen instances and two months for them to fix it. An annoyingly horrid experience to simply cancel a membership.

Big, clean, and comfortable

When it comes to canceling your membership. Its much easier getting a new card. I’ve sent in the cancellation forms twice and they still continued charging my card for two months. It was much easier getting a new card.

The employees are attentive and very friendly. The workout area shows some members leaving dirty paper towels on floor and on machines. Members are constantly talking, playing games or watching movies on cell phones while sitting at a machine not using it but stopping others from using. Gym bags are on gym floor for someone to trip over instead of in lockers. Toilet paper on bathroom floor always seem to be present even though worker tries hard to keep clean. We have rules but they are not enforced. Other than this, all seems okay. Its a beautiful club but there are members who trash the club and disrespect their surroundings.

Great atmosphere and the staff there are generous!

Pretty solid gym. Has everything you really need for cardio and body building. Nice, large studio with enough punching bags. Pool is pretty good, seems like they add a little too much chemicals though. Showers and lockers are fine and not complain-able. Staff worked with me pretty well when I told them my situation of being a very on/off member for short terms due to college.

Terrible customer service, the manager and all the staff are not professionals, because they did not give me an explanation about the payments I generated surcharges in my bank they did not help me when I wanted to cancel the membership to avoid surcharges in my bank and they were little understandable in my situation I DONT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE THEY HAVE AWFUL ATTENTION!

I have a membership in this health club. It has all of the equipment you could possibly want, pool, hot tub, sauna, badminton handball basketball . . . my only complaint is the hours. I wish it was 24 hours.

Love the water aerobics. The women showers need to be fixed and the restroom could use some attention. Overall Im glad I joined.

Knowledgeable and pleasant staffClean facility. Can be difficult to enter and exit onto Centerville Road at rush hour--best to use other access. Comparable pricing Trainers available.

Just joined today, manager was great, she actually extended her hand for a shake 3 times and thanked me. One thing is while I understand attended at the front is not there to sign you up and answer a lot of questions. Instead of saying, I am not allow to answer questions. He should say, please allow me have you speak to someone that can give you the information. Sounds less like I am just an idiot and no one has trust in me to represent LA Fitness.

Its better than 24 hours but the front desk people are so rude and they dont help at all! & the man who cleans the mens lock room hes pretty great as he cleans he makes conversation with others etc great people person! Buy its okay but soon be canceling and going back to YouFit its cheaper and its super friendly

Gotten robbed at least two times at this location. Pretty freaking ridiculous. And way too crowded.

Staff are friendly; variety of weight machines are excellent. Jacuzzi and sauna are well kept.

Aqua fit instructor Shannon was disrespectful when I asked her not to encourage another student from screeching in a high pitch during class. The sound resonates in the pool and is painful to the ears. I have a hearing impairment. She responded by encouraging the entire class to join in the screeching and told me I dont have to attend this class and can leave. I was humiliated and embarrassed. I like this gym but this instructor needs to be taught that all paid members should be treated with respect.

The equipment selection is great and everything is always clean and tidy. The staff is friendly and I dont ever get bothered by other members.

Great gym, lots of equipment and plenty of room. Has a pool and sauna. Not too crowded weekends and during the day on weekdays. Very clean, staff and clients are pretty laid back.

I love going to this gym and it is very clean.

Pros: Newer and cleaner gym with excellent facilities. It has no carpet in the high traffic areas including the lockers which helps in eliminating that musty odor present on all the other gyms from this chain. That’s about it for the pros.Cons: Most of the clientele that visits this gym makes you feel unwelcomed and do not have no respect for the other patrons. Loud music is played in the sauna and locker area. Obscene remarks and comments are made about other patrons.Overall, I would not recommend this gym to somebody that likes to work out in peace and comfort.

LA Fitness is a workout place has a pool dry sauna dressing area pin on which one you go to some of them are well up-to-date some of them are older if you workout regular its best to go the early hours the later you go the busier it is

Its ok but they need to clean the hot tub more than once a week, and maybe drain and actually clean it. People get in and then there is brown scum fliating in the bubbles.

I have been a member since this location open. Its been a great experience until now. I have asked them to refund me 59.95 they took off my card for my husbands account since my husband is no longer with us. They refused because of a contract with someone who is no longer here to fix. I never knew la fitness was doing that bad they couldnt refund a struggling single mother of 4. I mean I understand the whole contract thing but hes not here to cancel and its my account they took the money from. The Manger Mario & corporate were very rude & lack compassign and understanding.

Went and service was horrible.A met a woman named Kaitlan and she said it was great, sinceshe knew someone there. I tried it out for a week andI will stay with Lifetime Fitness. Lifetime Fitness rockscompared to this gym. Also, found out another friend of minewas coaxed into signing a personal trainer contract here.He was not told at all how the contract works, and in theend had to freeze it and pay a substantial amount of moneyto get out of it. Make sure you read the contract, they will not tell youall of the details.

Parked right in front of the gym and got my car broken into. Pretty crazy that this gym is so packed that no one can see someone suspicious trying to break into a car especially if it’s parked right in front of the gym in broad daylight!
