Mike from Santa Fe Air came to service our AC unit. He was very knowledgeable, up front, honest, and professional! He told me everything I needed to know and was straight to the point in a friendly manner. He told me his concerns and what we need to do to resolve our AC issues as well as a better routine to maintain our unit. I highly recommend this company and its services!

I havent even gotten a technician out. Called and scheduled an appointment for the range of 4 to 6 pm. I called the office at 5:30 to double-check that someone would be coming. They said they would have their tech get a hold of me. 6 rolled around with no return call and I called the office again only for them to say they would have a tech call me. Well, its 7 as of writing this and Ive received no calls. Dont even bother. Biggest waste of my time.

Santa Fe installed a new HVAC system for us last year, and we have been very pleased with it. Pedro came today to do the maintenance. He arrived when he said he would, he was courteous, he answered questions and gave us feedback on the system. We are very pleased with both the product and service.

I scheduled a service call mostly because the furnace hadnt been looked at since I had it installed years earlier and a prolonged cold snap was forecast, not because I suspected any problems. The tech (Dennis) was thorough and helpful. He took time to explain the readings and results and then suggested a couple of changes to make the furnace operate more efficiently. Very satisfied. I would recommend them to others.

John was awesome and upfront with what he was doing and very friendly. When it turned out 2 b something less expensive than originally thought problem was, John let me no.

Mike and Josh and all of the folks who have helped me at Santa Fe over the last 25 years have been absolutely great! They are always very polite; providing clear communication about everything theyre doing. Theyre very prompt (which is tough in their line of work), and Ive never felt like they were pushing something on me or were trying to do more than was absolutely necessary. We have been customers of Santa Fe for years and they have always been professional, friendly, fair and honest. We had a problem with our central air a few years ago and the techs worked for hours to figure out what was wrong and how to fix it! They even came back the next day to make sure it was still working. The cost? A little over $200 bucks for all that work! There is nothing like feeling secure and taken care of when it comes to the fundamental yet major operations of your home! Thats the feeling I get with each interaction Ive had with Santa Fe AC and Heating. One of their servicemen is assigned to my account. He is wonderful----trustworthy, friendly yet professional. He remembers the issues that were potential at his last visit; he advises me fairly whether now is the time to address them.Today, I decided it was time and he was here at 11am. Probably the best example of Santa Fe AC and Heat, and my servicemans exemplary model of operation, is that he first came to analyze the issue before he just showed up with the part, blindly assuming I needed the $800 repair.I cannot speak highly enough of Dennis and of Santa Fe AC and Heating, a company that allows professionalism and honesty to guide their business.

We started gathering quotes this past spring to preemptively replace our HVAC system but decided to try to wait until fall. But then our AC went out on Sunday morning. We called 2 of the companies that we had received quotes from (and whom we considered for the fall replacement). One wasnt able to come out until Monday night, the other said they had same day service but when the technician called me an hour later he said that would only happen if I was a contract customer, otherwise it would be mid-week. So I called Santa Fe Air (they were on my short list of companies I had found after gathering my spring quotes) and was told someone could come out the same day. I expected to get the same run around as I had with the other company, but Dennis called within 30 minutes or so and said he could come out within a couple of hours. He showed up as promised, and let us know at a minimum our motor needed replacing. We were hesitant to spend a significant amount of money on repairs when we knew we wanted to replace soon, but we also didnt want to not have AC until we would be available to schedule installation of a new system. It was a really hot week! Dennis came up with the perfect solution. He offered to install a loaner motor for the week if we would schedule installation of a new system. And we didnt have to wait to talk to a salesman regarding the new system. Dennis walked us through the options. We were expecting to pay more to replace in the summer, but the quote came in at less than what we were planning on paying with off-season discounts from another company. It wasnt the same brand or type of AC, so we were not able to fully compare prices. He talked us out of getting the more expensive variable system due to potential expensive repair costs/difficulty in repairs. So in that regard a little less for the quote seemed in line with what we had been planning on paying, BUT it was the height of summer demand at this point, so we called it a good price. We were hoping to make a very informed decision when we replaced in terms of cost-comparison, but in the end we got something better: an informed decision on what company will respond quickly in an emergency. Even when you are not (yet) a regular customer. They were able to install at the end of the week, and so far its cooling really well and is very quiet. Cris at the office was also really pleasant to work with and easy to get a hold of regarding scheduling.

Excellent company to deal with. We called them because they are a local family owned business. From the estimate to the completion of the Job, Santa Fe Air conditioning, heating and electrical was pure perfection. They arrived at 8 AM sharp just as they said they would. The technicians were all as professional and nice as they could be. They wore their masks the entire time. We couldn’t be happier with this company and would highly recommend it to anyone in Olathe and beyond. My wife and I are so appreciative as to how they handled everything. A+++

Scheduled an AC checkup for my primary residence, a single family home of roughly 1400 square feet.  An on-site crew came out where a senior technician was training someone new.  To be specific, the newbie was doing *all* the wrenching.  The senior tech was observing.  This crew checked everything out on my condenser outside and found nothing out of specification, including the amount of refrigerant.  I specifically inquired about that before they began work, and after.Less than 36 hours later, my AC system is no longer producing any cold air while the condenser compressor is running constantly.  I call Santa Fe back and they send someone out to verify and fix the situation.  During this visit, the technician indicates the system is almost entirely devoid of refrigerant.  After consulting with the home office, Im asked to be spoken to by the lady doing dispatch and calling the shots.  She indicates that since their technicians left the residence with everything working properly, I would need to sign a waiver for them to do any further work.  This was apparently because my AC system appears to have a leak.I tried to explain with proof how my AC system was working previously to their training crew coming out.  I took screenshots of my Nest thermostat showing before and after.  She wasnt having any of it, despite this second technician trying to make the situation right while on the call.  Luckily, he went ahead and refilled my system.  I tried calling to ask for a supervisor or ownership, but I never heard back.  Since the second technician visit, my AC system has been working just as it did before.

Timely service we have had in the past with knowledgeable techs doing the work. It helps our confidence in the Heating/AC system going into the new season.

Josh was here this morning and performed his usual fabulous maintenance services. The first time he came out over a year ago, he made some adjustments in our system, changed some settings etc and our heating bill was immediately and significantly lowered. He’s a personable young man, well spoken and obviously well versed in his trade. Definitely goes above and beyond to get the very best performance possible from your system. He is a true gem and I request him for every visit!

The blower motor on my 2017 furnace went out. With one year of parts warranty left, they would not honor the manufacturer’s parts warranty unless they came out and charged me labor to change the part themselves.Had to go through the manufacturer to get the blower motor covered under warranty even though the unit was purchased from here.With this being my first experience with this company, it left a sour taste in my mouth, and I am unlikely to call them in the future. It would have been nice to use a local company.They are probably not too bad if you play their game with them, but they were not willing to work with me.

Our furnace died just as the weather was turning cold. We had used another service in the past, but we weren’t able to contact them. Santa Fe Air Conditioning & Heating sent Doug out the following day to confirm that we did indeed need a new furnace. Brad & Kyle came out 2 days later to install. They handled the permits, inspection & financing. It was really easy to work with them, the guys were very professional & friendly. And now our family is toasty warm! I highly recommend Santa Fe! I called them on a Friday afternoon and they were out to perform the service on Monday morning (right before we got the snow on Oct 26th).Kory was the technician. He arrive exactly when scheduled, wore booties and a mask and super nice. He made sure I knew the price before he started the work. He then did a very thorough inspection of my systems. He completed the system check in just over 30 minutes and provided a detailed analysis to me.Im super happy with Santa Fe and plan on continuing to use them.

The technician was nice and knowledgeable, and found the issue. However, he tracked mud all over my carpet and didnt advise me of the additional $150 diagnostic charge on top of the $100 service charge until right before he left. When I was told I would be getting a free quote. Additionally, he wanted another $100 to run a different diagnostic. Just be beware of alot of nickel and diming before you use this company, and tell them to take off their shoes or wear shoe covers like every other professional company. Keep in mind this was all for diagnostic testing/the service charge, he did nothing to fix the issue.

I was looking for a reputable hvac company as we are new to this area. I have found it with Santa Fe Cooling, Heating and Electical . Fair priced and the Technicians are very knowledgeable and professional. They were also very helpful with a couple of small issues I was having. Took the time to explain things about the system that are not discussed in the owner manual. I will definitely use Santa Fe again.

We hired Santa Fe for winter maintenance service to our furnace and heat pump, and to evaluate and repair the humidifier. The humidifier solenoid valve was broken. They quoted the part at $300+. They suggested the water saddle would soon need replacing ($100+) but didn’t need it yet, and that we should replace the water pad ($40) which was definitely due. In total, $450 + tax to repair and maintain the humidifier. Or, for just a few dollars more they could install a new Aprilaire humidifier for $550+ to replace the pretty unreliable builder grade unit we had (as they described it when telling us about the Aprilaire, as many builder grade items can be). We politely decided to hold off and shop around as this was unplanned and we didnt have an idea what pricing should be. When Santa Fe heard our decision to hold off for the moment, it was like they lost interest in finishing the maintenance check up to our heat pump. They had looked at the furnace, said it was well maintained, told us not to use the heat pump below 40 degrees and never went to check up on the outside unit. They reduced the visit fee to $79 like they were doing us a favor, without stating they hadnt finished the heat pump check up, and were gone before we realized what had happened. We weren’t interested in them charging a lower fee for the visit as much as we wanted the heat pump evaluated and serviced because we use it. So for $79 they diagnosed an issue and by our estimation tried to sell us a humidifier by overpricing a $58 solenoid valve to make it look like the new humidifier was a good deal. We ended up installing the solenoid valve and water pad ourselves for $110+ including shipping for the parts that we purchased directly from the manufacturer. It took us less than 10 minutes and was a very basic job, and it would have taken them even less time than that. So, to really summarize their service at our home - they showed up, diagnosed an issue, had the parts and could have installed them in less than 5 minutes of professional time (which we would have been happy to compensate them for at a fair industry rate), but they were looking to make no less than $450 on the appointment. It seems their goal was to sell us a $550+ Aprilaire based on their pricing, advice, and messaging, and when they didn’t get it they didn’t finish the maintenance work and left for the bargain price of a $79 fee. They left us high and dry in the middle of an unfinished maintenance appointment. Now we need to pay a different company to come back out to maintain the heat pump. Buyer beware.

Most recently our furnace wouldn’t turn on. Got out to the house in less than an hour! Fixed in 20 minutes and can’t beat the price! We’ve been using them for servicing for nearly 3 years and were very happy with them!

Wonderful service woke up to no cool air coming out of my vents so had to make the call to have someone come out. The technician Mike was out to my house very promptly and I have never had a technician so friendly and willing to share his knowledge as to whats wrong why it went wrong and step by step how he was going to fix it. No pressure for the extras but were so happy with the service he provided that we signed up for the yearly service plan. Cant recommend Santa Fe Air enough. Just GREAT service. Use these guys and you wont be disappointed.

We needed to replace our furnace and A/C system - the old one was 16 years old and starting to need some work. Mark came out and did a thorough inspection so an appropriate system could be installed. When we got the quote the price was very reasonable for a 17 SEER A/C unit and an 80% AFUE furnace system.Today the installation crew was here (Nick and Ian) and they did great work. These men were very polite and professional and the installation looks very good.I highly recommend Santa Fe Air Conditioning!
