I was really content with their work. Just picked up my svt cobra engine and ready to assemble it soon. My story starts in 2017. My project had several set backs, including having to switch mechanics due to delays, and numerous items to work on in my punch list.When I first got my motor, the first mechanic, and his female assistant, picked the motor up from TG’s. His staff mocked the assistant, but she put them in their place with her knowledge as she was studying for her master mechanic’s certifications. Unfortunately, after 6 months, I needed to take my truck from that shop and search for another mechanic. This set me back 9 more months.I received word that a mechanic I had worked with in the past was out of retirement and doing side work. He agreed to take on my project. Being a long term thing, he would work on it when he had time. As the months rolled on, many items were repaired, but the motor was not the focus as it had been rebuilt, so he figured there wouldn’t be a problem.He had gotten the motor/trans set up only have an issue with the trans and t-case. Once that was worked out, my mechanic found a horrible imbalance in the motor. As of Aug 5th, 2021, the motor will need to be completely rebuilt a second time. TG’s placed a Chinese flywheel with no information on the motor(I was told it was 100 ounces), and harmonic balancer was overweight, and my paperwork shows that the motor wasn’t even balanced in the shop. If this was out of arrogance or ignorance, I don’t know. What I do know is that I’ve been robbed of approximately $2,400! Had the motor been installed as quickly as I was planning, I would have brought it back. However, this far along, I didn’t bother even contacting the shop as I am sure I would have been laughed at.By the way, the second mechanic I’ve known for over 25 years and the only mechanic I’ve ever really trusted. And the fact that I’m looking down the barrel of spending $2000-3000 unnecessarily really pisses me off… but Tony is a helluva salesman and got my money.My suggestion: stay away!

Really dissatisfied with there work. I took my BMW engine to get rebuilt completely, they build the bottom half and said thats what we had agreed upon. After that I agreed to pay more to have them put the engine together completely as we had originally agreed too, he wrote me a new receipt I gave him $1,000. 1 month later they call me to tell me my engine is done. First they tell me they couldnt put it together as I didnt bring the timing chain (not true they returned the timing chain when I picked up my engine) then he finally admitted that they where incapable of doing it. So I paid $3,000 for $1,200 dollars worth of work. I will file a complaint with consumer affair and will also have small claims filed. There is many other reviews on here with bad experience so I would love to file one law suit with other people. (I will pay for all the legal expenses) I just need your side of the story.

Had these guys do a rebuild on my small block engine and they did a bang up job! Great value and was very happy with the engine work.

Have been working with Tony to build a 408. Pleasant to work with, good communication, and a builder that knows the industry.Disregard the reviews about being upset that the build was more expensive. Thats how performance engine builds go. You get an initial quote but theres no way to forecast what machine services your block/cylinders need until they get it open.Tony has been the only builder in the region who has been able to meet my timeline. Ill update my review once the engine is done, but I have no issues recommending him to other people who have money to spend on a build today.

Just had an 350 engine with some goodies for my 73 nova built. .. and it runs very strong lots of power and reliable. ... highly recommended TGs performance. ... ask for tony the owner and engine builder great customer service answered all my questions wish were alot! but overall his a great guy!

Terrible machining, lied and took months. I had them do an LS2 with foraged internals and it started knocking after 5 miles. I brought it back to them and Tony the owner said they would fix it. 10 WEEKS later they still had not finished despite telling me several times it would be done in a week. I finally had to take it to another shop and they showed me that most of the machine work was royally awful. I had to throw the bored block away because one cylinder was over oversized and badly out of round. 3 of the rods were out of round AND one crankshaft journal was so badly tapered that it had to be re-ground. Also they had re-used the old timing chain. I dont even understand how they managed to do such a bad job. Lost about $7,000 and couldnt drive my truck for months due to bringing my engine to them.

Got my sr20det built by them not to long ago really happy with the results engine looked great and sound great but over all runs strong thanks TGS and his team of workers.

I had Tony rebuild my 7MGTE motor. Head and block were resurfaced to recieve a MHG. Mirror surface finishes. Excellent work, Loads of experience and an overall great guy. He will take time out of what he is doing to talk to you and help you out with any concerns. I am definitely going back to his shop.

These idiots did a valve job on a Ford 1.9 and two weeks later the valve dropped out of the head damage the Piston they have no idea what theyre doing you take your car here at your own risk
