Updating my review, going on two months of living here & I am loving it! Yes I had an issue at the beginning but now that it is solved I cannot express how comfortable I am living here! It’s quiet, my neighbors & staff are friendly. I love how most people here have pets. I use to reside in downtown Long Beach before here and let me tell you, this place does not make me miss it whatsoever! I can find parking anytime of day even if it’s by the main Street. Compared to all the walking I had to do to get parking at my old place, this place it’s awesome! I was also previously paying about the same I am paying now and my new apartment is way bigger, has central A/C and a patio. Laundry facility is also open 24/7 which is super helpful since I have to work weird hours sometimes. Overall, no complaints. Very happy here.

I strongly suggest looking elsewhere if youre thinking about moving here. The amount of rent you will pay here wont get you much in return. Theres no fitness room, no recreation room, little to no parking, and ROACHES everywhere. The only thing this place has for it is that its quiet. If they ask for a high deposit dont plan on getting it back. On the contrary, you will receive a bill charging you for damages and imperfections that were there at move in! The apartment paint job and carpet is cheap, so any normal wear and tear you will be CHARGED. They are also untimely about responding to your complaints/needs unless it involves them receiving some sort of payment from you. Very unethical business practices.

Nice place to live, the quality of construction of the place isnt A1, but its not terrible either. Peaceful environment. Wish there was more parking. Nice outdoor area.

Love this complex. The manager Jessica is great. Maintenance man Gustavo is great. The landscape is beautiful. So far my experience has been nothing short of spectacular here.

I cant say enough how much I enjoy this place. Every maintenance request has been fulfilled in a quick and professional manner. The resident manager, Anny, is extremely professional, nice and full of information. She made moving in painless and effortless. A+, gold star, 5 stars for Anny and her team!

Ever since the new manager took over living in this complex has been great! I had multiple issues at my apartment that our previous manager never got the time to take care of, and this new girl took care of all of them in a timely manner. Very professional and always in her office during work hours (the old manager Blanca was never there!), she actually listens and cares about what I have to say, takes my complaints serious. She stays on top of things and takes great care of the whole place: its cleaner, looks more appealing than before... I was ready to leave when my lease was up, but now I want to stay and will be renewing it for sure. My apartment is very nice and spacious, great price too. Very pleased with the changes and new management

This place is a place you get in Garden Grove. The neighbors were pretty loud some nights. You can here everything they were doing and they were not playing board games. I got woken up a few nights by loud slamming doors. We got along pretty with the ghost that lived in the apartment.

I waited 3 months to write this review because in my experience the first month is always great and then it slowly fades and problems arise but I must say Anny the new manager here at La Madera apartments really is working to make improvements and keep a nice and clean property and comfortable living place.When I inquired for a 1 bedroom apartment I was given all very clear and specific information from Anny. Prior to moving into La Madera I spent about 4 months looking for a decent apartment and other properties I visited I did not like there was always something wrong either it was dirty or extra fees and/or infested with bugs but not here at La Madera.I met with Anny and right away I liked the property and deposit/rent was fine (considering we live in California) and we talked about move in date. Anny had the best patience with me and my move in. I had an issue and had to change my move in date and while I was panicking thinking maybe they wont be able to hold the apartment for me, she did. Move in was smooth and if anything needs fixing I let Anny know right away and she responds in a timely fashion and maintenance is notified and in my experience my problem is fixed within 24hrs. The property has been looking better and maintained clean. Initially when I moved in the Gardeners came once in July and once Im July but in the last month they have been here often and that is also important considering its a pet friendly community. So far Im happy and pleased and I know if I have a problem or question I can bring it up to Anny and she will assist the best she can, its nice to feel like youre the only person shes helping.

My wife and I currently live there (10/21/15) and cant wait to get out. However, that has proven to be much more difficult than I expected. The manager is NEVER in the office. We drop by often and have left several messages to no avail. She will help you get in and then nothing more. She wont even return our phone calls. We have tried to put in our 30 days notice to leave and cant get her to call back. The service personnel changes weekly and we never know who the strangers are that may or may not enter our apartment while we are gone. Do yourselves a favor and look elsewhere.

Great manager named Anny always knows what to do

I resided at La Madera for 1year. however, my first impression there was totally changed due to the manager there. She just had a fake smile and pretent to cooperate at the beginning of first month of our staying there, however, work order never done in a timely manner and the maintenace staus there is terrible. We shouldnt ignore the imperfectly done cleaning on the tour prior to the contract, their maintenance is really neglect and flawed. Manager is a just a sloppy worker. I finally tried to contact with FDC management who owns the property, but the management company is worse than her attitude, they are rude and uncooperate, and ignored a resident. I never wouldnt rent here if I were you. When we ended our lease, we were so glad because we just waited to complete our lease term ends soon since our first month experience there.

The manager of these apartments is so friendly

Kind of a dumpy worn down complex in Garden Grove. However it was clean in regards to the grounds and pool area
