I gave THIS Jackson Hewitt tax Service 5 STARS!!! Mainly because for the last past 4 years, Ray the owner; Manager is a people person, straight forward, a gentleman and very good exceptional professional, along with his staff. Everything is done in a timely manner. If you want good guarantee work, you should visit or better yet during this pandemic, its better to make an appointment. I usually do not give a company props because of changes, but this Jackson Hewitt Tax Service is the real thing in all my 4 years with them. When I got home and looked at the stack of papers in my packet I was horrified to discover my electronic signature was attached to several documents I wound never have consented to sign. These documents were permission to allow JH and other companies to market products at me and to call my phone with marketing offers. I consider this a severe violation of privacy. I contacted their privacy email to undo the damage but I should not have needed to.

Scheduled an appt for Saturday but had spare time Friday. Called and they said to come in. From the time i walked in to the time i walked out with a great refund was less than a half hour. Ray is the best. He is sufficient and very good at his job. He always gets me the biggest return. I will ALWAYS be his client. Everyone is polite and welcoming. I always feel welcome and lile family. I was very disappointed in my experience. The individual that worked with me really did nothing to get on the same page as I to work on my behalf for any credits I was eligible for this year. The individual never asked me about any interest I might have paid throughout the tax year of any kind i.e. student loan or mortgage interest, or if I had made any charitable donations of any kind. They really just didnt work to help me lower my AGI in any way let alone verify whether itemizing was right for me or not......, very standard or head down approach. I found more success nail biting my way through it on my own. I wont be back.

Don’t go to Jackson Hewitt in garden city Michigan. You will be ripped off big time. I got charged 565.00 dollars for one w-2 form. I even switched for H&R Block last year to Jackson Hewitt and was supposed to get a hundred off and was told by the General manager RAY MIHTAR that I don’t get it. I called three other Jackson Hewitt office’s and was told that I should have gotten the hundred dollars off but they can’t help me cause it’s personally owned by RAY MIHTAR. Plus I was never shown the fees until after they proceed my return and printed my paperwork. Now I can’t do anything about what he changed me. I tried to talk to RAY MIHTAR(the General manager) and he said he will take off a hundred dollars on my next year taxes but won’t help me this year. I am so upset. I am a struggling mother with a disabled husband and son plus taking care of my mother who just had a stroke. I really needed all my money this year. I could have done my taxes myself if I would have been told the fees first. Please share so no one else has to go though this. 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭And I’ve called corporate office and nobody’s helping me
