Just got back from our one night stay with horse back riding. Let me tell you this place was amazing. The horse back riding was so fun and peaceful. Breakfast was so good it was exactly what we needed before we headed home. The staff was extremely nice and friendly. I am definitely coming back. Thank you Beaver Creek Lodge for an awesome anniversary weekend.
None of my children (ages 8-16) have ridden a horse before so we did the 1 hour ride. The tour guide, Riley, was fantastic! She gave us the horses that were perfect for my children. She was kind and very informative. We had the best time in nature and riding the beautiful horses. Will definitely come back next year. Thanks!
We’ve done the one hour horseback ride twice. Both times we had large family groups. The staff is always super great with the range of skill level and ages of our group. The scenery is beautiful. The horses are great! Very gentle, and easy to ride. Highly recommended for almost anyone who wants a cute horseback adventure.
We arrived 30 minutes early so that we could start on time and get to enjoy the full 4 hour Trail Ride that we had booked. The staff were very polite and friendly. Our guides, Brooke and Hannah were sweet. We were very disappointed though that the horses were poorly cared for. They had been saddled without even a basic brushing, caked with mud and hooves unpicked or inspected. No self respecting horseman fails to groom their horse. One of the horses under saddle had a respiratory illness and was wheezing badly, before even having been ridden yet that day. Had any of us been directed to ride that particular horse, we would have refused. There was no available source of water in the corral in spite of the heat wave, before or after the ride. Also, our scheduled 4 hour ride was cut short by a full hour without any explanation or compensation. I had looked forward to this ride all year. Our lunch was delicious however!
This was the perfect place to spend our family vacation!!!! The area is beautiful and we were made to feel so comfortable!!! The lodge was very clean and nicely taken care of!!! So many fun things to do and the staff were so nice and helpful!!! I just want to send out a extra thanks to the cute girls in the office, our new adopted son Graham who worked with the 4 wheelers and our newest family member, Joe!!!! What a great group of people!!!! Thanks again for making our weekend so special!!! Shelley Bird and family
Located in a beautiful area! Playground for kiddos! Also has a pool table! And complimentary continental breakfast! None of which I knew about when I booked our stay. Very pleasant surprise. Super nice employees and owners. The room we stayed in was nice and clean. They do not have AC in the rooms but when we stayed it was cool enough that a cracked window was enough. Would definitely stay with them again. They also have ATV/UTV rentals. They offer horse back riding also.
Our family if 4 rented an UTV and it was awesome. The kids had a blast and the staff was super friendly. Sorry again about all the mud, I know now not to hit puddles at full speed. Highly recommend.
I have rented a UTV here twice. Staff is friendly and vehicles are well maintained. If you plan on exploring the cache forest land in Logan Canyon I would highly recommend renting here as you will start off already near the summit with access to many trails. You are also supplied with GPS and satellite phone in case anything happens on the trail
This was our fourth trip to Beaver Creek Lodge. Three times for horseback riding and once for snowmobiling. All four trips here have been awesome. This time we had Riley for a guide. She was great. We will be back again and again.
Great experience with the lodge. We scheduled a large group for a horseback trail ride. Great trail guides, and support staff. Terrific trail, safe and well trained horses. They also offer ATV rental.
I have been renting from these guys for a few years and just got done with a four day rental. The location is awesome with a nice mix of everything from flat meadows to steep, tall, and technical hill climbs to keep things interesting as you get more comfortable with the machine. The staff is friendly and helpful and will point you in the right direction for the type of riding you want to do. They have also been very reasonable on any damages to the machines over the years.I highly recommend Beaver Creek Lodge to anyone looking to get out riding in the mountains!
Really great find near Bear Lake. Wonderful place for families. You must line up a UTV rental during your stay! So much fun... Note: Zero AC so the room will be subject to an open or closed window temp.
We went on a 1.5 hr horseback ride with Bree as our wrangler. She was knowledgeable, outgoing, and friendly. The scenery on the trail was amazing... I highly recommend it.
Horse back riding with lunch was awesome! Nicole was our wrangler and she did such a good job. We are definitely coming back again.
Amazing! So much fun. We took the snowmobiles out for the day and had a blast. The staff was so helpful and friendly, they totally take care of you. The machines were in great condition. The area is beautiful. Highly recommend you try it out!
What a great weekend! The staff, from checking in to getting us suited up and serving the food, were phenomenal!! The owner was there to help us and provide good information as well. He was super nice! They buy new equipment so, the snowmobiles are in pristine condition! It was so fun to go play on them!!My only complaint is the main common area on the top floor. There is not enough room for all guests to hang out so, for our stay, we didnt get to use the room because other families took the room over. Every time we went to use the space, the table, couches, pool table and shuffle boards were occupied.
We recently stayed in this quaint lodge. The location, accomodations, and staff were all excellent. Very clean. I would highly recommend the stay.
Had a great family reunion at Beaver Creek Lodge. Super friendly staff and great accommodations made it a wonderful.
We had some friends in town visiting from Tennessee who really wanted to go snowmobiling so we set up a half day with beaver creek snowmobile rentals. The process was so easy, fair prices, nice machines and friendly staff. I highly recommend using this company. They provided us with helmets and a tracker as well in case we got lost or stuck. We will be using them every winter! Thanks
Had a blast excellent staff and wonderfully trained horses for the trail ride.
We took a horse back riding tour one day and rented UTV’s another day. Both experiences were top notch! The lunch on the horse back ride was really good- the ham and turkey sandwiches were on fancy bread and tasted really great and the chocolate chip cookies were good as well! The guides were super friendly and engaged us in conversation and helped us feel comfortable on our horses. The scenery is as beautiful. The UTVs were so fun. We had a large group and rented several of each of the 6 and 4 seaters. We thought maybe the 6 seater wouldn’t be as fun but several of us actually found we preferred it- they went faster and were a smoother ride than the 4 seater.
We did the horse ride. It was a lot of fun! Excellent guides!
Nice and attentive hostsVery cleanSpectacular View
Great service. Offered boots for snowmobiling. Very nice and concerned. The scenery was beautiful. Great snowmobiling. Workers were patient and kind. It was a wonderful day. Thanks so much.
What a great experience, The staff was excellent Brian and his team are very concerned that you will have a good experience our guide Graham was great knew the country well and could ride much better than us flatlanders. We hail from Michigan and although have ridden thousands of trail miles we couldnt hold a candle to Graham. Thinking of planning a UTV trip.
Had an amazing trail ride with the guides! Snowmobiles are top notch and the staff was more than accommodating to help riders of limited skill levels! Hats off to Utah Parks and Recreation for keeping the trails in fantastic condition! Being able to ride from the lodge to Minnetonka cafe for a burger is the coolest experience ever! Wonderful experience all the way around!
We came for a horseback riding excursion. We had a large group with a varied skill and experience level. We had Liz and Lance go out with us for a 3 hour ride and it was terrific. They were very friendly and accommodating. We had some kids that were a bit timid, and they made sure the kids felt comfortable, and were great cheerleaders when they were successful in riding independent. We would have loved to hear more stories of the area, history, wildlife, etc. We will definitely consider going back. They tell us its a family run business and we feel great supporting them. We loved getting to know the horses and hearing about each horses background and personality. Lots of fun for this multi-generational group.
My family—all novice riders—took the one-hour horseback ride. My daughters, ages 8 and 10, pronounced the experience “amazing,” and are already talking about coming back 😊
Snowmobile rental: we rented snowmobiles and had a blast. Corbin was our guide and he was awesome! He was professional and has a great sense of humor. I recommend getting a guide...ask for Corbin.
Wonderful setting. Perhaps next time they can increase the amount of powder snow available. Haha!
We worked with the owner, Bryan. Awesome guy - we will definitely be returning to Beaver Creek Lodge in the future.
You can tell a lot about someone from a simple interaction, and although I have never stayed here or participated in an activity, these folks are genuine good people. I stopped by after passing several closed campgrounds searching for some water to take back to camp as my family was coming up. I was greeted and was kindly offered to use their spigot, and shown the direction. I offered money, but a simple your welcome and thanks was all that was needed. Thank you sir for your kindness.
We are staying for the next couple days. They are doing construction during the day so its very loud. No peace at all from 7 am. The breakfast is sad. A fruit bar, yogurt, apple, and water. The rooms are very warm with just a small fan that cools the room off around 3 am. We rode horses with Nicole as our guide. Other than only stopping once in 4 hours it was great, she was very friendly. The side by sides rental was fun. The staff is friendly. Oh dont use the vending machine its always out of stuff and eats your money. Bring your own food and drinks or you have to drive in to town. The location is good right now its as noisy as the city but I still paid premium prices. May be looking around for somewhere else next time.
Beaver Creek Lodge was top notch. Brand new sleds, great food, and our guide Corbin made the trip. We will definitely return next year!
Can’t say enough good things about Beaver Creek. Brian, the owner, has greeted us each time we’ve been there, he is so friendly and helpful. Very knowledgeable about the area, and what works for your abilities. This time my son and I went for a half day snowmobile ride, and it was such a great experience. We loved our guides, Riley and Braxton, they took us on a great ride that we’d never have been able to do without them. They kept us safe, and knew where they were going. Great trip in beautiful country. We are novice snowmobilers, and this was the best possible solution for us for a great day in the mountains.
Amazing guided tours and Top notch snowmobiles at a very reasonable price. The guides were very informative and accommodating to riders with limited skill levels. Very friendly staff.
My wife and I had a wonderful time. The staff was great, the horses were so sweet (Ive only ridden a couple of times so I was nervous but had a blast), the room and the amenities were very nice. We were going to do the side by side rental but ended up taking a 5 mile hike instead and with the fall colors, and the perfect temps, it was much more rewarding. Definitely going back.
Stayed here two nights and snowmobiling two days. All meals are taken care of if opted for! Staff is all very friendly! We will definitely come back. Looking back on it I wish we would have opted for it a guide for at least one of the days.
We recently went on the 3-hour horseback ride, and a few years ago we went on one that was maybe 1.5-2 hours. Both were excellent, but the 3-hour ride was by far the most rigorous trail ride Ive been on, in terms of the terrain covered. We are nor experienced riders, but we often go on trail rides when we go on vacation. Sometimes they are fun, but not very challenging, because the terrain is easy and the horses do nothing but follow the one in front of them. This ride was both fun and challenging, with spectacular views to boot. They say they require closed-toed shoes, and only recommend long pants, but seriously--wear long pants. Your legs will take a beating if you dont.
We came for the horseback riding and it was so much fun! Courtney was a great guide and she was amazing with our little girls! We all had a great time! The girls talked about it all the way home. We highly recommend!
It was hard scheduling a package deal but once we got it together it was fine we did have a problem with ATV but they were able to make the package much better than what it was. Im grateful for their customer service. The horseback riding was phenomenal! Thanks everyone!
Beaver Creek Lodge and its employees provided another 5-star day of family memory making experiences for us. As always the staff (Brandi, Joe, Melissa and Helen) were very interested in making our event perfect. The mountain scenery and the mode of transportation (CAN-AM four seat) is just what we all needed to escape. Thank you again, I hesitate doing this review because it may make too many people aware of the amazing gem we have so close to our home which may make it harder to get an open booking.
I cant speak for how an actual stay at Beaver Creek Lodge rates (though the building is nice enough, I did saw inside a few rooms, which were furnished with utilitarian bunk beds, a table and chair, but clean and well-lit), but their horseback trail rides are outstanding. My only regret was booking a 90 min ride instead of the three hour version. Unlike many horseback rides in which a line of horses shamble over a flat route, nose to tail, and their riders could literally drop the reins and fall asleep without affecting anything, the riding at Beaver Creek requires a little bit of horsemanship. A guide is always there to to direct the route and help as needed, of course, but riders must keep an eye out for branches, speed up to close gaps, push the horses through the creek, keep the saddle on steep inclines and as their horses step over logs and small rocks, and weave through boulders and bushes. There are spots where the trail splits then comes back together, and potential wrong turns that lead to other parts of trails the horses might walk on a different days, so again, riders need to be comfortable bringing their horses to a halt, spurring them to a light canter, or turning them hard in either direction to reform the line. Its not demanding for anyone reasonably familiar with riding horses, but I definitely wouldnt recommend it for someones first time in the saddle--seriously. The other people my party were grouped with had a couple kids and a couple adults who had never ridden, and they where NOT comfortable at times, like going up steep parts of the trail, or when their horses would miss a step on rock and stumble a little. I dont want to discourage people from riding at Beaver Creek, especially because in addition to a fun ride, the views were amazing. But if youve never been on a horse, book a short ride somewhere less demanding first, the book Beaver Creek. Thats all the experience necessary to enjoy oneself, but conversely, even experienced riders will have a good time. Hands down the best trail ride Ive taken in Utah.
We didnt stay at the lodge; we only rode the horses. It was a perfect experience. All the guides we met, Kylee and Courtney and Kay, were experienced and made us feel completely at ease. The horses are beautiful and gentle. We had a gorgeous, peaceful ride. We will definitely be back.
We went on a four hour horse back ride with lunch included. The staff was extremely courteous and helpful. The horses were great. We rode up through thick tress and brush to the top of the peak. Lance, our trail guide, was careful to ensure the trail was safe. We stopped at the top with a great view of Bear Lake. Lance took several photos of us on the horses with the lake in the background. This particular trail would be moderate to advanced for riders. The views were amazing as Utah scenery never fails to provide spectacular landscapes. OUTSTANDING RIDE! Thank you Lance and family.
We had an incredible experience. When we got done my partner realized that she had dropped her phone somewhere. Guide went all the way back found the phone and brought it back to us. What a huge relief. Our guide was extremely friendly knowledgeable and fun. We thoroughly enjoyed and well be back.
Very clean.Great coffee and breakfast!
We did the horse riding only. It was great. So worth it. Nicole was our guide and she was amazing. My daughters first time. Shes 7 and cant wait to go again on a longer ride. We did the hour. Highly recommend.
Its really nice there but theres no way we can use the grill unless we rent the whole lodge. That would be 11 rooms at 140.00 a unit. But other than that it a beautiful place to stay.
Beautiful place for any kind of event.
Had an awesome experience on their snowmobiles today. Our group of four rented the snowmobiles for the morning session (9:00 am to 1:00 pm) and it really turned out to be a great choice. Getting on the trails that early gives you plenty of time to really enjoy your surroundings and the lighting is perfect for photos and videos. The staff was well trained and friendly. They were also very experienced which puts you at ease if its your first time riding like it was ours. I would love to return here one day and would not hesitate to give this place my highest recommendation.
Went on an hour trail ride on horseback. Our guide Nicole was so kind, personable, and made us feel at ease. It was my first time ever riding so I was a bit nervous but my mom and I had a wonderful time. We would definitely return!
You probably cannot find a better place to snowmobile. The staff was extremely helpful and informative. Corbin was an amazing guide. Definitely get a guide if you don’t know the area. A guide is worth the extra money to access places you normally wouldn’t arrive at without the local knowledge.
Ive had the pleasure of enjoying all activities the lodge has to offer- horseback, UTV, and snowmobiles; all have been great adventures! We hope to continue to visit here!
We went horse back riding and rented side by sides from yall. It was incredible, great lunch, amazing views and FANTASTIC customer service. Elizabeth was our horse back guide and she was amazing, and so fun to talk to. 10/10 would recommend.
Horseback riding was such a fun experience! We havent been in years and it was a great time. Tiffany and Lance were awesome, friendly guides and tried to make a personal connection with everyone involved.I would definitely recommend it.
My family from age 9 to 75 had an amazing experience on horseback with Corbin as our guide. My wife and mother were a bit apprehensive at first but ended up having a great time. My kids absolutely LOVED it! Corbin learned all of our names (eight of us) and went from front to back along the trail checking on each of us. Every horse was well trained and calm through all of our uncertainty. My youngest daughter fell in love with her horse and cried on the way home, saying, I miss Atlas (her horses name). This was the highlight of our week-long vacation in Bear Lake. The price was very reasonable and the service was excellent. We will be making this a family tradition! Thank you Corbin and team!
This was our first trip to Utah and decided to take a break from snowboarding and rented a few snowmobiles at the spur of a moment. Beaver Creek was very accommodating and set us up with their 850 Summits. The sleds were great. The nearby terrain was awsome even though there was less powder than normal. They directed us to some great back country riding that was only 15 minutes down the trail. Huge amount of terrain for all abilities to ride. We would have spent days there if our schedule allowed it. We are already talking about planning a longer stay next season. It was well worth the trip from Maine.
Horseback riding with Beaver Creek Lodge is world-class. As an experienced rider I can honestly say that the trail, the horses, and the scenery are top tier. If you are in the area, dont miss out on an incredible ride.
We did the hour long horseback riding and it was amazing! Our guide, Corbin was super friendly and made the experience so great! I would highly recommend it!
I’ve rented snowmobiles from Beaver Creek lodge four separate times now and each time has been better than the last. If you are concerned with the price I assure you, you are riding some of the best snowmobiles on the market. They are all new and well maintained.Brian, the owner treats everyone well and we received top notch service today when I wrecked a sled with less than 300 miles on it. I caused about 4500 dollars worth of damage to the sled and his first question was, “where you hurt?”. Not once did he belittle me or question my integrity of the incident.A couple things to note, the price shown on the website does not include taxes, the insurance cost or the fuel price. You should expect to pay a minimum of 60 dollars more than the rate shown on the page. I do wish they would change that. Also, if you have the misfortune of totaling a sled like myself you need to have the 1,000 dollars to pay for the deductible the day of the ride. I had expected a minute for that to be processed through the insurance which may have been naive of me.Great service and great sleds, you’ll enjoy yourself.
Very clean. friendly staff. will return
My husband surprised me with this adventure on our trip out west. I’ve been very cautious with public interactions and lodging due to Covid-19. The room was extremely clean, the bed was just as comfortable as ours at home, and the shower/tub was really nice too. We even got a delicious breakfast bag of goodies each stay.We rented a UTV, our entire experience with that was phenomenal. Starting with Matthew covering all of the basics with us. He is a young man, but really seems to have a knack for the hospitality business.Everyone here that we met was genuinely kind. We will definitely be back!!!
Service is awesome. Stayed here in July and rented side-by-sides. Super fun trails and a beautiful, quiet atmosphere. The rooms are clean and updated with nice, deep soaker tubs.
Great hosts.Nice and clean.
Great horseback adventure on Dollar. Corbin was the perfect wrangler offering humor and great conversation during the day. We are planning our next ride in August.
Great place. Took my kids up riding on their horses and the staff was great. Great ride, fair price and a worth while trip for the horseback rides. They also rent machines throughout the year and it appears the owner runs a good business. Thank you!
The staff is amazing, and make sure to go out of their way to make you feel welcome! The rooms are extremely clean and comfortable! The views are spectacular! Five stars!
This place is top notch! I’ve interacted with them throughout the year on multiple occasions and always had great success. Brandi in the office is also a guide and does a phenomenal job at both. Ask for her if you want quality customer service!
Great morning of snowmobiling. Riley was a great guide
We have rented horses, snowmobiles and street legal utvs here. Service is great. Location is awesome.
We had a whale of a time on their razors.
My family enjoyed a one-night excellent stay at Beaver Creek Lodge. Visiting at the end of May during mid-week, we were the only ones in the entire lodge! We enjoyed playing horseshoes and frisbee outside, relaxing on the porch while the sun went down, playing pool and shuffle-board in the large relaxing area. Visiting at this time of year there wasnt even a night manager on shift, though the management was great about hooking us up with all we needed and contact information if we needed help during the night. The room was fantastic, as up-to-date as any recently remodeled hotel room. We had a simple but filling breakfast on the TV stand and in the fridge, wifi was free, and the kids loved the bunk bed. I would definitely stay here again and really enjoyed the quiet solitude of our stay. Its a great place to stay about 20 min from Bear Lake and all the eating places in Garden City.
Worked great for us
The kids LOVED it! We did the one hour horseback ride. Perfect for newbies like us!
We had an awesome time as a family. This would be a cool place for a couples retreat as well. Tiffany, Bryan, Elizabeth and Josh were super helpful, friendly and accommodating to make sure we had a great experience. From the side by side up the canyon ride with our family of five to the horse ride it was all great! They even have a small playground for the kids to play at in between. Tiffany was great during the booking process and check in. Bryan was super friendly to get us hooked up with the side by side and explaining everything. Josh and Elizabeth were awesome in helping our kids have a great time on the horse ride. You couldnt ask for a better staff, experience and family activity. We will definitely be back!
Room was dirty. Beautiful place and friendly staff. I would have given less stars if not for the friendly people.
Did the horse back riding. It was fun and my kids wanted to return again and were so excited afterwards.
We were overly pleased with our experience lodging, dining, and renting snowmobiles. It is nice being surrounded by such great staff. A big shout out to our guide Corbin who took us places we could only dream of!!! We will definitely be back!
From our first trip in 2009, my husband and I fell in love with Beaver Creek Lodge, the owner, his family, and the staff at the Lodge. We always enjoy staying here! Whether its in the winter riding snow mobiles, summer/fall riding razors or horseback, or between seasons to just get away, we are always feel part of the family. The rooms are very nice and the beds are really comfortable. The whirlpool tub is very welcomed at the end of the day of riding! 😉 In the Summer/Fall season they offer a continental breakfast. In the winter they have a hot breakfast (country buffet style) as well as dinner. The cooks are excellent! We look forward to our next trip out!
We rented a Can-Am Maverick X3 Turbo on a Saturday from around 4:30-7:30pm and had a blast! The trail was mostly dry with some big puddles here and there that we had tons of fun driving through and getting wet! They have a four hour loop that we went on and were able to see a plan crash site, a little lake, and still have plenty of time for messing around and taking turns driving the sweet Maverick! Their service was super nice, explained everything clearly and we the whole process was slick!
We just spent a couple of days enjoying the Lodge, the ATV trip, and horseback riding. Melissa was very helpful in getting us settled in and setting up our excursions. The room was nice and clean, the free breakfast was perfect and included waffles and fresh fruit. We had a great time taking the ATV into the park in the late afternoon followed by a wonderful horseback ride the following morning with Brandi. She was a great guide and took a bunch of pictures of our ride. Highly recommend you come experience the beauty of the Cache National Park and spend some time at the Lodge.
Beautiful and quiet location. Nice rooms and good breakfast. Will definitely be back.
Really awesome place to visit if you plan on snowmobiling. Prices are really good and the staff are friendly and very welcoming. The complimentary breakfast and dinner are delicious and the cooks are super welcoming and makes you feel right at home. Internet was fast and stable the whole time. Amazing scenery around the lodge and while out snowmobiling. Going to be coming back here year after year, thanks for the stay 👍
We did a horseback ride with Elizabeth today. She was so awesome! We will definitely be back.
Excellent day on two snowmobiles.Rented two snowmobiles for the day and service was terrific and both machines ran flawlessly. Only about 10 min up a groomed road to the large bowls where kids can sled/play. Miles and miles of groomed paths and endless mountains to enjoy.Basic rental includes helmet and goggles.Very helpful on the phone setting up the rental reservation and in person on arrival and at the end of the day.
The view is gorgeous and the people are so kind! The activities are super fun!
Absolutely beautiful location and beautiful rooms, the house was incredibly hot and air condition seemed a bit off, but very awesome place to be
Rented a UTV, had a great time seeing lots of areas we had never been to. The staff was great to work with, we would definitely go again.
If we could give 100 stars we would. As avid travelers and adventure seekers, this was by far the most hospitable place we have stayed. It even beat out the 5 star expensive hotels.Gerald and Viv - wow. What can I say about them other than they are the kindest, giving, thoughtful people there who will feed you well and take care of you with open arms and big hearts. They are now part of our Ohana and no doubt we’re part of theirs. The owner was down greeting all the guests bright and early with a smile on his face. The staff all around are just great people. Our room had a nice jetted tub. Not fancy and new, but definitely gets the job done and fits right in with the cabin getaway feel. I wanted to steal the bed and pillows for how soft and comfy they are.On the third floor we enjoyed playing pool and shuffle board, watching movies, and being warm by the fire place-alongside the beautiful Christmas tree. The snowmobile guide treated our boys great and they had a blast.I absolutely loved our stay here!!!
Amazing experience at Beaver Creek Lodge! Bryan is an incredible snowmobile guide and all the staff were very helpful and friendly. Highly recommend
