What a great couple from who to rent a boat. Lonnie and Tiffany are great. They are professional, helpful and super friendly. Their boats are very clean and are in good repair. Definitely will be using them again for our future trips. They will be our go to peeps for boat rental. Captain Lonnie put us on the fish and we had a blast. We caught trout and Red Snapper. Thanks Lonnie and Tiffany.

WORST EXPERIENCE EVER!! I would give it 0 stars if I could! We wanted to rent a boat to spend a nice evening and see the sunset. We ended up getting a super old and dirty boat that had NO emergency lights, or lights in general, or working GPS to guide us through the sand banks. THEY DIDN’T EVEN TELL US ABOUT THE SAND BANKS! WE ENDED UP GETTING STUCK ON ONE FOR MORE THAN 3 HOURS. We called the rental company and they DID NOT WANT TO COME AND RESCUE US. We also couldn’t get help from the Coast Guard, and ended up calling a boat towing company to rescue us. The management did not want to cooperate at all, even though we had kids on the boat. While we waited for rescue we were sitting in complete darkness getting eaten alive by mosquitoes. They had no sympathy for this terrible experience and were more worried about their boat than our safety. We had two little kids on the boat and they still trying to recover from this experience. The whole ordeal ended up costing almost $2,000. SAVE YOUR MONEY AND GO TO ANOTHER PLACE FOR A BOAT!The white spots in the first picture are the rocks that we were stuck in. The water was THAT shallow.

0 stars. Do not recommend. Put a deposit for 2 boats. Get here on time and 2nd boat was not here. We left and came back 30 min later and boat came 10 minutes after that. The boats were raggedy and dirty. On one of the boats the shade cover was not on and he said it would take another 30 minutes or so to put up. Honestly I don’t think it worked. We had a party of 12 and he stated that we can all get on one boat eventhough the weight limit is 2300. I’m sure our weight limit cut it very closely if not over it. We didn’t feel safe being on one boat so our only option was having one boy with no shade. How the hell in this heat. Horrible. Don’t do it.

THE ABSOLUTE WORST SERVICE POSSIBLE!!! Let’s start with the pictures on the website which are a complete lie.. I reserved two boats and only one was provided. The one the brought had tape on the seats and the bluetooth speakers didnt work.. Lonnie suggested all 12 of us full figured women pile on 1 boat (which clearly had a weight capacity) and recommended we just “go slow” ….I had a whole lake day planned with my party of 12 friends/ family and because of the misleading website the entire morning was ruined. Not to mention im staying in houston so we traveled an hour for disappointment. Do not waste your time or money with these people. DO NOT RISK YOUR SAFETY. I rarely leave reviews, let alone bad ones, but my birthday is ruined and i feel like people need to be warned before booking! You guys should be ashamed of this service. I am a us soldier. I had three disabled veterans as a part of my party. I don’t appreciate the treatment or slander that me and my party have received since attempting to rent a boat from them. To top matters off I was supposed to receive a refund on my $300 deposit the tuesday after our reservation (june 1) and it is now june 9 and still haven’t received a refund. Myself and another member of my party have been calling and have gotten no answers. The business phone is a cell phone and now it is going straight to voicemail. I believe i have now been blocked. STAY AWAY FROM THIS SCAMMING PLACE!

DO NOT RENT A BOAT FROM THIS PLACE, THEY ARE SCAM ARTIST!!!!! The boat was a complete pile of junk and seemed to be over 30 years old. We were told to lower the canopy before going under the 61st street bridge by unhooking straps on each side and pushing it down. First, it was not as easy as we were told, the clips were bent so the straps were tied on. Also, apparently they had jury rigged the canopy in the up position only to have parts fall out after finally lowering it, so the right front part of the frame no longer connected to the rear frame after putting it back up and we had to take turns holding it up and together, as it was over 100º so we did not have the option of leaving the canopy down. We had brought our own tube and had intended to use it, however, they suggested we use theirs because it was already aired up and tied on the boat, so out of convenience we agreed to use theirs. Well, mid-way through pulling a second 13-year-old boy (120 lbs) the tube completely deflated by simply ridding on it. In addition, we had brought a wake board, however, the boat was so slow no one could get up on it (we had been assured it would be powerful enough when we reserved the boat). Nevertheless, although we had paid for 4 hours we headed back after only 2 hours. I informed the dock hand what happened upon our return to his limited response. Not wanting to be a jerk in front of my kids and their friends I did not make a big issue of it and was willing eat the cost for the full 4 hours so we left. Well, to my shock and dismay they ended up charging my credit card an additional $500 for the damage that occurred without even informing me or having my authorization. Im assuming they identified us as a group of suckers and have pulled a con on us to make up for lost revenue during the Covid crisis. DO NOT USE THIS PLACE, IT IS A COMPLETE RIP OFF!!!!

Zero professionalism, zero customer care, zero concern for safety, zero warning about your shallow bay, if I could rate it zero stars I would. We rented a boat and ended up stranded in the bay for over 3 hours and had to fend for ourselves to get back to land; as the owners of this rental company offered no help. When I called to rent the boat, (not translating for my family as they are all fully bilingual but to communicate as one group), I was asked if we had experience driving boats before. After consulting with my family, it was confirmed two family members knew how to drive thus denying their “driving class”. At no point, was I asked if we knew how to sail in a their bay and even less were we warned about a shallow bay filled with sandbars. The driving class implied how to drive the boat, not how to evade sandbars that cover the bay. Had we been warned and asked about this perhaps this mess would have been avoided. The owners claim to have asked but I, being the one who spoke with them, can confirm the question at hand was, “Do you have experience driving a boat?” (They will deny this to their grave most likely to cover themselves from a lawsuit). After calling in hopes to receive some help, the owner rudely sighed and suggested we call the coast guard or hire a towing company. She even had the audacity to say, “You remember the driving class? You should have taken it.” Implying this was all our fault and our problem to resolve and showing no concern for her customers well-being. You should pay to cover your customers safety rather then leaving them stranded and making them pay for their rescue. We spoke with the coast guard who seemed concerned with this company already and even commented that the situation seemed odd to them and they would look into themselves. To make matters worse, after finally getting back to the dock and in our cars the owner calls us and personally attacked me and my family. The level of disrespect is appalling, borderline discriminatory and misogynistic. She called me, a grown adult, a 12-old-girl. She assumed to know who was my mom and dad and went on to say to my mom “teach your daughter how to listen and talk to adults”. To “my dad” she said, “Oh wow, you are letting your wife listen into the call and have a say in what happens. She doesn’t need to be in this conversation.” Excuse me? What year do we live in, 1950’s?On top of an already frustrating situation, the owner talked down to us as if my family was ignorant and actually stated, “I thought you all didn’t even speak English .”Please, save your money, save your time, and your sanity and do not hire this company. You may end up paying thousands for your family’s fun day out.Not a duplicate review. My own experience, my own review.

Overall: Awesome and affordable boat ride experience for the family if you follow their easy instructions!Booking: Scheduling the appointment was very easy, and this was on New Years Day. There was no initial deposit required to reserve your spot.Safety (Before entering the boat): Before you step foot on the boat you have to sign waivers, you are given a map and you indicate your skill level so they can best prepare you for a safe experience. The paperwork also lets you know what is required while on the boat to stay safe i.e. where to go, markers in the water, life vests for kids required at all times, location of additional vests etc. As you fill out the paperwork they go over what you are signing and you are able to ask questions as needed (I asked several questions due to the reviews, and they answered every last question with no agitation).Safety (On the boat): We got there much later than expected and he actually advised us against going so late as it wouldnt maximize the experience. So glad we listened! On our initial visit we signed all of the paperwork, went over safety precautions and then went on the boat for a hands on mini boat safety course. We indicated we didnt have boating experience so he took us out on the water to show us exactly where to stay go, how to stay out of shallow waters, and what markers to lookout for to guide us while in the water. I felt so much at ease having a visual aid to accompany the map given to use and the written instructions. He let us drive for ourselves to get a feel for it while he was there and everyone caught on fairly quickly. The ride (On the boat solo): We paid a deposit (at our initial visit) to hold our space, so we could come back the following morning and get a full experience. The deposit was applied to the balance and we paid the remaining balance the next day and were off. We didnt see any whales, but the birds put on a wonderful show for us with various beautiful formations, so make sure to be on the lookout above as well as below. Everyone got turns driving the boat. It was easy to follow the instructions and we still had a wide area to move around in. The kids were ages 23 to 3 and everyone had a blast! They had a speaker in the boat which was alright and served its purpose. We also were allowed to bring snacks which came in handy for the littles. Our boat ride was 2 hours and that was plenty of time for us.Summary: This was a great experience, with a great company who exhibited great customer service. For my family, I feel they went above and beyond to make us feel comfortable and give us an amazing experience bringing in 2021. I would advise to get it in the day time if it is your first time boating, just so you can clearly see markers and everything. I will definitely use them going forward.

Me and my now fiancé rented the sunset cruise. What an experience it was! A great time beautiful views and the best part was the sun was just perfect in the sky enough to take beautiful memorable photos. The boat driver, Lonnie, was more than welcoming and friendly, and he definitely knew how to make the time spent more enjoyable. Tiffany the one who helped set up the cruise was more than helpful and friendly too. Price was perfect for what we got out of it. Would definitely recommend to anyone going out on a romantic cruise.

We rented a pontoon boat from Galveston Island Boat Rentals for a bachelorette party, it was a great experience and I would totally rent from them again. From the beginning Tiffany was super helpful and responsive through the booking process. There was bad weather expected and Tiffany was in contact with me, answering all our questions, offering advice, and making sure everything would be good for us to have a great time. Our captain, Dan, was great. He was really chill but still checking in to make sure we were having a great time throughout and cracking jokes. Dan was such a kind hearted and respectful person.

Boat broke down an hour and a half after we went out. Stayed waiting on a tow boat for Two hours with 4 kids. I was promised a refund after we got back. The next day I was told that it was my fault that the boat broke down. Worse boat rental company that I have ever seen. Boat was outdated with a lot of faulty equipment on it. Never rent from these people. Total disappointment.
