Our perfect girls getaway came to an unfortunate halt when our Jeep stopped working on the far side of the island 3 days before we needed to head back to Arkansas. Ray came to my aid today when I had a blowout on one of my trailer tires. He got there super fast and had me back on the road very quickly. He had all the tools to do the necessary things very quickly and was extremely nice! I will absolutely use them again on any issues I have going forward. Had my Honda CR-V towed from Houston to La Marque, over an hour ago and my thoughts for this company is just amazing! First of, I called and spoke to Ana, the receptionist, which is best at her job. She kinda calmed me down and then told me that she’s sending their experienced driver, that me settled down a little bit. His name is Ismael, what a wonderful kid! Day one of vacation we ended up at Marty’s and I’m so thankful for their excellent help!!!!Got us right in!!! We knew it was probably the battery or alternator it ended up being the alternator. We had an issue and needed a tow, Robert came out to get us but our truck was an F350 and we needed a bit of a bigger truck than what Robert had so he called in Ray but stayed with us until Ray came and helped get the truck on the flatbed. My transmission failed on an older vehicle so I didn’t end up getting it fixed, but he gave me an honest estimate and was very helpful when we were stranded in Galveston due to these car troubles. Honest, professional and affordable! I bought the electrical part already, but needed someone to install it for me. Everywhere else I called wanted to overcharge me for them to purchase the same part (that I already had) + other valves (that I didnt need or asked for).Martys guys were able to do the installation in less than an hour! They saved me so much $$ on other services that the competing shops tried to push onto me, which I didnt really need since my car was still fairly new. They really care about doing a good job and dont try to nickel and dime you like these other places. And if they dont offer a specific service, they know someone trusty who will.They also have a very sweet dog you can pet white waiting. I will definitely be recommending this place and taking my car back anytime I need something done.

I was stuck in a field around Texas City and had called several wreckers but none could pull me out. Called Marty’s towing and spoke to Ray told him my situation and he came and bailed me out in less than an hour! Was 200’ or less from solid ground and he pulled me out of my mess! Great service! My truck turned off on me while I was in line to get on the ferry at 1 am, I panicked knowing I’d have to find a towing service to help me at such a late hour. While visiting Galveston a few months back, my girlfriend managed to pop a tire our first night there. I thought for sure we’d be stranded in Galveston 4 hours away from home. If I could give them all of the stars in the sky, instead of just 5, I would because he and his staff definitely deserve them. This was the first major wreck I have ever been in my entire life so I was beyond a basket case (tears and all) throughout this entire process as I really didn’t understand what I was doing or what I needed to do. All I knew is that my beautiful paid off car was totaled. But after speaking with Marty the next day he said no, it looks bad, but we can fix it. Do not hesitate to use these guys! On Thanksgiving morning 2018, I became severely stuck in mud under the San Luis Pass bridge. And when I say stuck, I mean really, really stuck. I drive an offroad vehicle that is designed to not get stuck and comes with its own lift-kit accessible at the press of the button. Initial estimate to get to me was about 1.5 hours given my location but as we were talking, the tide was coming in and water was rising. They (2 of them) got their fast and tried multiple angles and braved getting in waste deep freezing water to get me connected to the tow cables. Eventually, they got me out but it wasnt easy - and they didnt quit until I was out. They happily escorted me to my hotel and stored my car until the appraiser could come and declare it totalled after the long holiday weekend. They worked with the insurance company without any issues. Ive stored their # in the event I ever make the foolish mistake again. Be careful under that San Luis Pass bridge as not all those puddles are shallow - just make sure you have their phone number in case you do. Thanks guys and I appreciate the hard work!

UNDOUBTEDLY BEST TOW SERVICE IVE EVER HAD DONT CALL ANYONE ELSE, my family and I were on a weekend getaway when we popped a tire. Called roadside at 5:25 gave us a different terrible company waiting till 7:40....... got impatient called Marty’s. Jessica answered immediately got there in a timely manner and help greatly!!! Marty and Ray are awesome. We got stuck down there on the weekend of Tropical Storm Beta. We had to leave one of our cars parked because the storm surge made our road out impassable. Called Marty for help late on a Sunday night to tow our car to safety at their shop. He was courteous and quoted a fair price. Ray went back out during low tide two days later and was able to safely tow the car back to their shop while I made travel arrangements several days later to retrieve my car. Theyre an honest, hard working family business that takes great care of their customers and I would highly recommend them.

Me and my fiance and 1 year old son broke down on our way back to east tx and a police officer recommend Martys we called roadside service took us over there. the bolts on the tensioner pulley broke off in the engine and broke the belt. tony gave us a ride back to the mariner and they had it fixed by the next day at noon thank you tony and Marty yall was great!!

Im sorry if that is the case, but if you need help, give Martys a call right away. There is a very good reason for all these stellar reviews. Five stars are not at all enough to rate their business! When you call them they will take care of whatever problem youre having as quickly as possible and make sure that your vehicle is repaired correctly and that you are safe. I feel blessed to have found them.I discovered Martys City Auto in an online search last year and after reading their great reviews, I gave them a call. I was having a cooling system problem and it was August and was extremely hot weather. They checked it out, did the repairs and made sure my car was safe for me to drive, as I was about to leave the island and drive 500 miles alone at night.Was having problems with my car again this past month and thankfully had them check it out. I have a home here on the island and one in Oklahoma City and was needing to leave that evening to drive the 500 miles back to OKC. Knowing that I had to leave that night, Martys got my car in right away that morning. They found a huge bulge on the inside of one of my tires and another tire was also in bad shape. I was so grateful as that bulge could have resulted in a scary blowout somewhere out on the interstate in the middle of the night. Because Martys does not sell tires they recommended me to a reputable tire shop that they trust. Thanks to Martys City Auto, I was on the road that evening.Their service is very fast, their prices are quite reasonable and their customer service is great. You will not find more professional, conscientious and caring businessmen than Marty and Ray to help you with your problem. Their staff is really great too, doing everything they can to make their service the best. Everyone at Martys treats you as though you are a member of their family, making sure that you stay safe out on the road. They really care about their customers, whether you are a visitor to the island or a local. Definitely put their phone number in your phone. And if you ever need help, they will be there for you! If all businesses were like Martys City Auto the world would sure be a much better place!

We got stuck on a beach access road in Galveston. We also had a special needs daughter with us, and expressed our concern about her, to the driver Ismael, with Martys Towing service.Ismael called us with updates on eta, also understood our concern. He did a wonderful job getting us out of the massive sand pit, and was professional.The only issue we had was the price of the tow, but we were not in a position to negotiate.We would use them again, and appreciate their quick response.

A lady I think there name was Jessica...aided me in a timely and Fashion... if I had the authority to do so.. I would promote her to daye today and assigned to a more challenging position. But I expected the best from Marty operation

My grandma is getting along in age, which means shes forgetful. On Valentines Day at 7:00AM she runs out of gas on the seawall. She was expecting a grouch old man to show up & give her gas, making her feel bad the whole time, when instead, this nice girl showed up. Do u know she even told my grandma to follow her to the gas station (after she put in the 2 gallons that roadside assistance covered) & she bought my grandma $5 more of gas. My Granny said she hugged the girl with tears bc the girl didnt even hesitate to help. If thats how Marty & his employees set the standard of the type of towing company they are, then they now have customers for life! I am the owner of another Tinks Towing, I have to say how amazing and kind Marty’s Towing in Galveston is. Last night we had just picked up a car from their lot to take the Houston. Our driver had someone cut him off on Broadway, so to avoid hitting them, he ended up hitting a curb and damaging one of our rims extremely bad. Mind you he had a car loaded, this could of ended really bad. He was able to get to a gas station safe to check the truck, and customer car. But we knew we couldn’t drive the wrecker any further. We called a service truck to come fix it. But after waiting an hour, they showed up, and couldn’t help us. So at this point I just didn’t know what else to do, I had to get the customer car to Houston. At this point I figured I would call Marty’s and just have them tow it the 70 miles, which would of not been cheap, it would cost me more to pay them then I was getting paid from the insurance to haul it. But I wanted to take care of the customer first. When I called and spoke to Marty himself, he didn’t even try and give me a price for towing it, he first wanted to help us. He thought maybe he had a spare rim for us, he took time out of his business to go and look for it, he called me back and said he didn’t have it, but was going to come to our location to see what he could do, I told him we could probably drive it back to his lot since we were only like a mile. So we did, and Marty, Chris and another of of Marty’s employees hammered this rim, which was not easy, flat enough to at least get the truck back home. But the rim was cracked and not safe to drive fast. I spoke to the customer and told her what was going on, that I couldn’t get a rim till morning and I would have her car there first thing Monday morning. She was more the understanding about it. Marty allowed me to leave the car in his lot and wouldn’t take any money from me, he said he understood because he’s been in my shoes. He said when we got the truck fixed we could come get it. This man could of charged me a arm and leg due to the situation I was in. But he didn’t, he bend over backwards for us, he is a much larger company then we are and could of just laughed and left us. He showed us such compassion and saved me a lot of money and stress. I don’t normally recommend a competitor but if your in Galveston and we can’t help you, please reach out to Marty’s.

I came to the shop back in May. I was visiting Galveston from Canada doing a nursing contract job at the hospital near by during the pandemic. I was using a rental car at the time, and someone had stolen the cover for the toe hitch at the front of the car. I was in a panic as it was a new 2020 rogue and the rental agency would have definitely noticed - it would have costed me a paycheck! Thanks to the google reviews, I was able to find Martys. Everyone at the shop were very nice and professional. They provided very fast services - they ordered the part and painted it with in 24 hours and then installed it the next day! Their services are priced very reasonably. I have been very busy with the pandemic and only had time to write my review now. Just want to thank Marty and Ray for helping me in a pinch, I would highly recommend their services.

This was the worst place I could have taken my truck. They over charged me and said they replaced parts that I had not only replaced the week prior to them working on my truck, the parts still had the same serial number as the one I put on, proving they not only didnt need to replace the part, they never even touched it!!

This company provides quick and quality service. I called for a wrecker and was helped within 10 minutes of speaking with the tow truck driver. He was extremely patient with me, answered every question I had, listened to me vent my frustrations about my vehicle, and also provided the most kind, and understanding advice. He made one of the worst days feel not so bad! He was personable and genuine. I hope I never have to call for this kind of service again, but if I ever do they will be receiving my business again! My insurance company called a random roadside service to help when I needed to change my tire with stripped bolts. Not only did the guy put on a tire too big, but he didnt tighten all the bolts, had it pushing against my rotor then told me it was safe to drive. When it didnt move at all, my insurance called Martys. Their driver took one look at saw immediately how unsafe it was!! He got my car moving and up on the truck in no time. He was wicked nice and super knowledgable! Will definitely call Martys anytime I am having trouble with my car in the future!!

My family of 6 had just driven 600+ miles from Lubbock to Galveston for our Summer Vacation 2019. We drove up on the beach the first evening and when we got back in the car it would not start. Tried to jump it...nothing. We called Martys and they were awesome!Our driver Ishmael was very understanding that we were from out of town and now we were kind of stranded. He loaded up our car and took it to the repair shop and even got our family down the road to our rental.I was honestly skeptical at the start. In my mind I figured this would be the perfect opportunity for someone to take advantage of me since I was in a really ruff spot being from out of town on vacation. Quick pick up and reasonable rates

Ray came at 2am and got me from the seawall and towed me 69 miles away to Houston. When he was on his way He called me. He was prompt and pleasant. Very professionally dressed. Clean cut, friendly, nice big smile on his face. I rode with him. He stopped at buckees and then we were on our way. The best part was he went the extra mile and went under my hood after he took it off the truck so i could park it safely and take my keys out the ignition. He had to Google how to do it cause he didnt know what he was doing. Thank you for God sends like you.

I called my insurance roadside assistance service for a flat tire change since I couldn’t get two lug nuts loosened up. It took 1hr 30 min from phone call to tech to arrive. To our luck, they couldn’t do it either, it broke a piece of their equipment. They suggested we get a tow. I called insurance back and was on the phone for 20 minutes. They were trying to tow me 20 miles away (despite being in a tourist destination with plenty of options around town).I decided to call a local tow service on my own and Marty’s came up on google maps. It took just under 30 minutes from phone call to arrival. Ray arrives and instead of towing me, he decided to try one of his tricks to get the flat tire off and it worked!!He changed it out right away and got us on our way in no time. Thanks Ray and team for the great work you do! Keep it up!!

I needed help changing a flat tire. Ray from Martys Towing responded quickly and performed the service in a friendly and professional manner. Once Ray had the damaged tire off he inspected it and found the screw that caused the flat. He also recommended a tire shop in Galveston where I could get it repaired. Ray went above and beyond what I expected.

Only GREAT things to say about this company. First time ever needing a tow. Ismael took my call this morning and ended up being my driver. He was super friendly. Kind enough to give me a few courtesy calls to let me know he was on his way and where he was. He showed up exactly when I was expecting him. Friendly service and reasonable rates. I hope I never need another tow, but good to know who to call.

If there were more people like Marty and his crew in this world, there would be world peace, no hunger, and everyone would live in harmony. This is a first rate business run by first rate people, starting with Marty. He runs his business the way everyone should--customer first, genuinely pleasant, and honest. Heres my experience: My car broke down along the seawall and Martys Towing showed up to help me after I called my roadside assistance program. I had no idea how incredibly fortunate I was that Martys showed up! What I thought was a dead battery, the wrecker, Ray, quickly diagnosed as a dead alternator. He towed me back to Martys, where a new alternator arrived within minutes. Marty had a mechanic that was able to fix the problem and get me on my way the same afternoon. Marty quoted me a price for parts and labor, however, the labor ended up being much longer due to the configuration of my cars engine. However, Marty kept his word and charged me his originally quoted price! Everyone I met and talked to were genuinely nice and pleasant people. I didnt think people ran auto businesses like this anymore--thanks for proving me wrong, Martys.

The truck I was driving blew out the back passenger tire. I was in the slow lane on Harborside Drive, industrial area, with no where to get out of the way. They first told me that it was going to be 45 minutes to an hour and a half wait. But when the manager, Ray, heard where I was at, he jumped in a truck and got me out of there. I was so relieved. Not being from the area and not sure where to go, they were such a blessing.

I rode with Marty himself to get my stranded SUV pulled out the mud....Marty and his staff were very cool from the get go. Very professional also and the service was extremely quick. I would definitely recommend using Marty if you need a tow service anywhere in the Galveston county area. He’ll take care of you and definitely not rip you off. He even made sure that once we got the SUV out of the mud, he followed me out to make sure I made it back. Marty made the entire process very relaxed and was sure to be open and honest from the beginning, which I appreciated.Not looking forward to be stuck again but if I do, I definitely now know who to call.

What a great company. I have used Martys on two separate occasions here on the island. Both times Ray came to my rescue. One of them should have been placed in a car crusher but not to Ray. He meticulously loaded and treated each vehicle like his own. They are saved in my phone and will be the only wrecker service I call and will recommend.

Stranded on a Sunday at the cruise ship parking lot.They were the first ones to respond and came to tow the truck to their shop. Put the truck first in line for Monday and left it in a secure and locked yard. Called at 8 in the morning, got a status update 5 minutes later and a call back an hour later that it was fixed and ready to go.Easily the most honest and reliable repair shop Ive ever dealt with, perfect experts on towing and repairs. Not to mention, some of the nicest people to deal with... Dont call anyone else, go to Martys City Auto first and last.

This is a wonderful place to take your vehicle to get worked on. I have searched up and down for an honest mechanic shop for the longest and I must say that Marty shop is very honest. I can not forget about their staff their all are wonderful!! They made me feel welcome and thats something I love. Ray is also great! He is the guy that help me out with my car and told me what was the problem. My transmission is acting up so he referred me to a different shop and you cant find too many mechanic shops that is going to refer you to another mechanic shop. They were not trying to rip me off at all. And I really appreciate Ray honestly so thank you once again Ray you are a big help! I give 100% recommendation for everyone to go to Martys Auto shop to get your vehicle work on. Thank you so much everyone for your help I will definitely be returning back!
