Personally Ive only used this cab company once, and had an awful experience. but Ive seen them on the road. Horrible driving, swerving, and passing me on a double yellow line. cab #1042. Almost got into an accident if had passed me a few seconds later. Horrible Driving. Just take an uber, seriously worth the money over this taxi company that doesnt even follow road laws. Ive heard from others the rates are super high.

Took more than two hours to get a ride when they said they would send someone right away. They had the correct number for me because they called me twice to say someone was on their way, but when I called to ask where my cab was they said that I hadn’t answered my phone when my cab arrived, though I had been holding my phone the entire time. Turns out she dialed the wrong number.My driver’s mask was so floppy it wasn’t covering his nose or mouth! There was no point in asking him to pull it up because it was clearly not going to stay put - it was just huge and floppy.If possible would give zero stars. Would not use again even in an emergency.

Considering this taxi company is composed of more than two hundred independent contractors providing thousands of on demand rides a day and put up with so many sorts of riders, its no surprise that a rider complains. What is important is that the management of the Regency Taxi looks out for the needs of the community. First to manage a less than a minute ride booking call center.

Very disappointed. Called to make a taxi reservation for the next day, and when my reservation time arrived no taxi was there to pick me up. I called at that time to see if there was one on the way and I was told they were still trying to dispatch someone since my request is to the airport, which is understandable. But 45 minutes later, I called and was then told that my reservation was made for a later time in the evening. Thank you for helping me miss my flight.

Called just before 840 am (because Montgomery County Cabs guaranteed cab didnt show for me at 830 as promised) needed to get to court by 930, about 10 minutes away from my location without traffic. Was told theyd be there in 15 min, then 7, then that they were pulling in the drive, then 2 more minutes, and they finally showed at 9:20 am and due to traffic, was late for court. Will never use them again, warn everyone.

Didnt show up for a reserved trip to the airport for an early morning flight or tell me they couldnt come. When I called them 10 minutes or so after the time they were supposed to arrive, they said they were still looking for a driver. To ensure I made the flight, I had to drive myself and keep my car at the airport, which was expensive because the trip was 3 weeks, and DCAs cheapest parking was $17 daily. STAY AWAY!!!

If I could give negative stars I would. I schedule transportation for clients of mine and each of them has had several horrible experiences. They are elderly people and they constantly call saying the drivers are EXTREMELY rude to them. One driver wouldnt let her get out of the cab unless she paid him cash even though it was already paid for and a different client was told she should have walked. After all of these incidents I have tried calling to speak with management. Each time I am told that I will get a call back, but I never do. Whenever I call (several times) to follow up to speak with the supervisor Cindy, I am always told she is unavailable and will call me back. Does she? Of course not. I am never one to leave a review but I am so disgusted with this agency I thought it was my moral responsibility to warn everyone, DO NOT USE THEM. I would rather walk than use this cab agency. THEY ARE ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE AND RUDE.

So we had a major family emergency and set up a cab more then a hour in advance. Guess what happened as the time came nothing. we called again and got hung up on three times before someone answered the phone correctly and professionally. After the fact we set up another cab rid for 30 mins after we needed to leave. We where told its all good by the women who answered. But yet again no show, Many taxi companies in the Maryland area have horrid reputations due to no shows, late shows, and horrible service but we needed a cab. My suggestion do uber its slightly less unreliable but not by much. If possible have a friend or relative drive you this company should correct its way of doing things.

This is no stars, the company could not accommodate me shipping a trunk to my son, stationed overseas. I was told that they dont normally do that so I told them not to stress out over a potential customer, guess they dont really need the business. I did use Barwood Car Service and was very satisfied.Oh, wow I couldnt even publish this with out giving at least one star. What a crock.

I spend over $300 a week to get back and forth to work and i definitely dont appreciate someone being outrageously disrespectful im just making sure i get home tonight!!

Regency cab inc is the most horrible company ever! I have never been so disrespected in my life! I called a cab driver for a client @ 7:17pm. When I first called the dispatcher, she was not listening to a word I was telling her when it came to me giving her the address information. All I heard was loud giggling and being unprofessional. After she finally paid attention to the information I gave her, she told me the cab driver will be at the address in 20min. Well 8pm came around and I called back to get an update of where the cab driver was located. Same dispatcher came on the phone and extremely rude and unprofessional and had the nerve to tell me that next time she tell the cab driver to come an hour late next time! DISGHUSTING!!!!!! No wonder why yall have such poor ratings!

I’ve had multiple attempts at taking a trip, which were completely unsuccessful. They don’t listen when you say you need a can for later, they send it right away and then cancel it when you’re not ready. They are rude and overall I don’t recommend them. Walking is better.

This has been the worst service. I called for a taxi to pick me up at the 7/11 store. The dispatcher told me she was putting in the Safeway next to it, Im not sure why. She told me it would be 15-25 minutes. After 30 minutes I called to check on the status of the taxi. I was told that the taxi pulled in 7 minutes ago, called my number but I didnt come out. THAT WAS A LIE. I WAS STANDING OUTSIDE THE ENTIRE TIME AND A TAXI NEVER CAME, I DIDNT GET ANY MISSED CALLS ON MY PHONE. I ASKED TO SPEAK TO A SUPERVISOR AND I WANTED THE NAME AND ADDRESS FOR THE OWNER SO THAT I COULD WRITE A COMPLAINT. SHE DIDNT WANT TO GIVE THE CORRECT SPELLING OF THE OWNER AND WHEN I ASKED FOR THE ZIP CODE SHE TOLD ME ITS IN GAITHERSBURG...WELL I CAN TELL YOU THERE ARE AT LEAST 2 DIFFERENT ZIP CODES FOR GAITHERSBURG. WHEN THE DRIVER FINALLY GOT THERE HE TOLD ME HE WAS DISPATCHED ONLY 5 MINUTES BEFORE ARRIVING, WHICH THEN PROVES THE SUPERVISOR LIED TO ME ALSO BECAUSE WHILE I WAS ON THE PHONE WITH HER I WAS TOLD HE WAS ALREADY DISPATCHED AND WOULD BE ARRIVING IN 3 MINUTES. IT TOOK HIM ANOTHER 10 MINUTES FROM THE TIME I HUNG UP TO SHOW UP. THESE PEOPLE LIE TO YOU, THEY DONT CARE ABOUT YOU AS A CUSTOMER AND YOU ARE BETTER OFF CALLING ANOTHER CAB COMPANY. I had cab 1108. He got to my house quickly, but he cursed at anyone who was in his way all the way to my destination. He would speed up & then slam on the brakes. I have never been more jerked around. Then to top it off, he had on talk radio and clearly didnt agree which is fine, but he went on and on about damn republicans. Im not even republican & started to get offended. It was out of control!

Used them twice: once to pick up a rental car, and once to take me home afterwards. Quick service both times, and reasonable rates.I was renting a car for a trip. I reserved pickup service from the rental company, only to find out (15 minutes after the scheduled pickup time!) that they dont offer pickup service. This was a time-sensitive trip! Trying to find a cab, I struck out with numerous other companies who either a) only go to the airports, or b) require at least 24 hours advance notice. Regency saved the day.

Called for a taxi to get us to the airport. Told them we had six people and lots of luggage and would need a van. They sent a small car to scout out how big a vehicle wed need. Then they sent a five seater and suggested we ride with our young children on our laps for the hour long ride. Um, no! Then it took them ANOTHER good 45 minutes to send a van. He got lost looking for our hotel. Well see if we make it on time to our flight. Save yourself some time and pick a different company!

Left my phone in the taxi, called within ten minutes and was told they had no way of contacting the driver. Called again and was told a message would be sent to all the drivers. Got another driver to take me back to where I was picked up but the taxi was gone, he sat there idling for fifteen minutes with the meter on claiming he might come back, but he did not. He stated that he never received a message from dispatch.Called again later that night, was told that they contacted the driver and he stated that the phone was not in the cab. The location was turned off on the phone within minutes of me leaving it in the cab, so someone clearly stole it. Dispatch was extremely rude. He first claimed that someone else must have gotten into the cab after me and taken it, then claimed that the driver went home and went to bed.In short, I spent $60 to have a phone stolen twelve hours before an international flight and nobody at this company gives a crap. Stay far, far away.

Never. ever. ever. use.It never fails that EVERY TIME I catch Regency Cab, their drivers give me grief about using a card to pay. Today, I was told by the driver that passengers that use cards never have any money, and their cards always get declined, which causes me to lose money.Ignoring the fact that I was insulted before even making it to work this morning, the last I checked, Maryland taxis were required to offer an option for passengers to pay by credit card.When the driver did take my card, he had to write it down to charge later (very shady), AND he left the meter running while he recorded the number!I always choose ORANGE TAXI for this reason - I will walk by 30 Regency Cabs without hesitation to get to an Orange Taxi. ORANGE TAXI drivers are friendly and courteous, never try to take the long route for added mileage, and their credit card machines are always working.

0 STARS. Worst Cab services ever !! I recently had a brain surgery (less than 3 weeks). I asked the driver to go little slow and he shrugs off shoulders saying what can he do about it. I want to give this 0 STARS. Yesterday since there was poor signal to be able to answer the taxi drivers call, he left without picking us up. All in less than 5 mins. Again, we were at a medical center. There is absolutely zero professionalism, courtesy ever.

And they start disconnecting incoming calls to check on the location of the cab. I would rather share an Uber with a serial killer than give them a penny of my money.

This company is TERRIBLE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I called them for a cab and they told me the driver would be at my place in 20 minutes, at 7:20 pm. I was outside by 7:15 to ensure that I would not miss my ride. At 7:20 pm there was no driver. So I waited a few minutes more and called them at 7:24 pm. When the dispatcher answered the phone I was told they could not find a driver and that it would be another 8-10 minutes to locate a driver. Needless to say, I missed my appointment, because of these jerks!!!! My car is in the shop until the morning, which is why I had to call on these guys. Next time I will use Lyft or Uber. I see why both companies are doing so well. DO NOT EVER USE REGENCY CAB!!!! THEY STINK!!!!

Absolutely horrible! Every time I call them, there is always a problem. Either the cabs dont show up or after telling me 20-30 minutes, they dont show up for an hour. I have been late to numerous medical appointments because of them. Their customer service is just as bad...from the top of the chain down. I have had problems with management and dispatchers in particular. They all argue that they are right and me as the customer with proof of the time I first called is wrong. They are very unprofessional and dont appear to care about their clientele.

I have been told 4 different times that my cab would be here to me in 10-15minutes or 15-20. ALL 3 times my cab was 35-45 minutes late each time. People have jobs and when we call for a cab and you tell us a time frame, it should definitely be honored. I am a person too. Just because i dont have a car and have to rely on cabs doesnt mean my time should be wasted or i just be lied too. If the cabs gonna take 45 minutes to an hour, you should say that. Youre in the business of customer service, get it together. FYI cab number 1028 is always late. I DO NOT RECOMMEND

Worst wheelchair taxi experience ever!!! We have been waiting for a wheelchair taxi in Rockville to bring us back to our hotel for over 3 hours. We have called them 7 times and they keep telling us: just give us a few more minutes. Untill the last call, then they told us they did not have any data from us at all and put us on hold for over 10 minutes. My husband desperately needed his medication so we finally went back with a regular bus.

0 STARS!I normally dont write reviews because I hate to be that person who always has something to say but this company is complete TRASH and everyone needs to know!First off, I called them at 1:45, they said theyd be there in 15 - 20 minutes. Cool, I thought to myself, Ill have plenty of time before my daughter comes home. (because I had an appointment elsewhere. 2 oclock rolls around and theyre still not there. I call and the lady on the phone was so rude. She was laughing and saying Maam, I cant hear you. when I know good damn well I was audible. She then says that theyre still trying to find me a cab, and she says to wait 20 more minutes. No problem, I think to myself. About 20 more minutes pass by, its 2:30-ish. I call YET AGAIN. I complain and the man on the line says that theyre STILL trying to find a cab, when I wanted to ask more questions, he hung up the phone on me! Rude!At this point I was beyond annoyed. I decided to wait it out. 2:45 rolls around, theyre STILL trying to find me a cab. At this point Im so over it, Ive been waiting for over an hour, then they say, Maam, your cab should be there in about 30 minutes. I wait yet again, needless to say that my cab indeed did NOT show up.Waited, waited, waited some more and FINALLY I called one angel and she apologized sincerely and said Maam, Im so sorry, I just got a driver for you, hell be there in 10 minutes. Imagine if I hadnt talked to her, I probably wouldve still been waiting. 10 minutes pass and its about 3:40ish when my cab arrives. So I basically (not basically, I did) wasted 2 hours of my life, AND my daughter was home by herself which is just NOT okay with me.Note to self: Never give other cabs a chance, shouldve just stuck with Barwood or SunCab. WORST CAB COMPANY EVER!!!! The driver called and told me he was 5 mins away so I go outside to wait to be courteous.. after waiting 20 mins I got another call saying he was 4 mins away. When he got to my location he didnt want to pull the car up to where I was so I walked over to the car being the adult. After I got in he kept questioning who and if I was going to pay. He even went as far as asking me to call the person who was paying. Which being the adult I did. He got his confirmation that the cab was going to be fully paid for which after that I didnt even want to be in his presence so I got out the cab and requested another one. The dispatcher told me thats normal protocol and every cab driver would do the same thing. FIRST AND LAST they will ever get a call from me! Long story short.... JUST TAKE AN UBER the first 20 dollars is free with a code!!!! No hassle, no questions, no rudeness or disrespect.

My ride was only about 2 miles. when I went to pay with a credit card the driver literally had a temper tantrum slamming his hands against the wheel etc- I told him to charge me for the credit card fee and he said no he should have never taken this trip. I suggested he tell passengers he only takes cash beforehand. He shoved ny receipt in my face to sign. Cannot believe how terrifyingly angry he was...Uber next time for sure.

I scheduled a taxi the night before for 8am the next morning the driver called at 7:50am telling me that he had a regular customer scheduled for the same time and that he would be another 25mins because the regular customer was priority. I was very upset and called the main number to explain what happens and expressed my urgency for a cab to get to work...the dispatcher didnt aplologize didnt care nor did they seem to take the matter seriously. I was simply asked whether or not I wanted to schedule a new driver. I told them they were sooo unprofessional and that I would never use their service again ...they dont care obviously. They suck!! I called another cab company luckily they were there in 10mins

No wonder uber and lyft are punishing sales from these terrible taxi service! I always have an issue with ONE of their reps in particular! Every single time I call she either gives the wrong address and just straight up lies when I call back its so frustrating! I called around 4:20 and she said 20 mins. 4:51 rolls around and im like okkkkk? I call to ask where my taxi is she says the driver tried to call me 10mins ago. I am like mam i swear to you I have received no calls then she caught an attitude and said well I can call you another one?!!! Like y? So i can wait and you can lie AGAIN?!!! HORRIBLE SERVICE!First off, the representatives (except for like 2 of them) have a huge attitude problem. They need to get it together.It seems ever since UBER has flourished, representatives working for Regency have become really bitter and rude to their customers; LOL maybe because they might be out of a job real soon; hell sooner than they think if they keep up with this rude customer service. One actually hung up on me, and another just cut me off and yelled at me over the phone because she couldnt hear me.Seriously, is this how you want to represent your job with your lack of professionalism?! Geez.And as for the taxi drivers some are real cool; others are down right ridiculous. Some want to pretend they dont hear you when you suggest to them to take a shorter route to your destination because it is less money for them. And some get mad because you are paying with a credit card (because it takes a tiny percentage from their fare) Like, seriously?One actually drove to my bank (because I was paying with a debit card) and tried to make me take money out of my account JUST SO i can pay him with cash. One of the drivers said: We dont like to pick up clients who book trips through Medicaid.If you are handicapped and Medicaid is paying for your trips the drivers refuse to pick you up. The Medicaid pays for your trips but sometimes you might end up paying from your pocket coming back home with different company.

Worst cab driver Ive ever had!Cab driver 1094 was the most awful human being I eve had the displeasure of meeting. She was the rudest cab driver I ever had. I asked her to please turn right she said I said left I said no big deal (we were several blocks before the light I asked her to turn at so she had plenty of time to switch lanes and there was no traffic).She then started to yell at me for at least 5 minutes and said that I was going to get her into a car accident. She continued to yell at me and stated that this is how she gets in accidents and that a passenger got her into an accident the week prior because of their directions. She was beyond rude, did not know the area (or how to get to Georgia ave) and clearly was not the most intelligent human being - blaming passengers for her accidents.NEVER use Regency especially if you see this cab number 1094 she generally parks outside the Friendship Heights Metro and Whole Foods near the metro in a white hatchback (I work in the area and have seen her parked there where she picked me up)

This place is horrible literally so many bad reviews I called them to make a complaint on a lady hanging up on me for asking if the taxi company is 24 hours and all they did was say and he didnt even care or acknowledge the problem he was yelling on the phone for no reason they are really rude and I hope they get shut down plus they do hit and runs totally unprofessional

Terrible service every time I call people who answer the phone seem to be bored, a couple of the were yawning and one of the guys got upset because I asked for a confirmation number.

I called for taxi yesterday around 12:40 pm and they told me it will be there in 10-20 minutes but it didnt show up at all when I called them around 1 :15 they said they dont have any record.Really???????????????I had to walk 3 miles it took me 45 minutes because they never showed up.They wasted my time and I wont ride your taxi again.

The driver was very rude and he didnt give me all of my money back I asked him why he said it was for him as tip so I let him have it and when we got to the destination he kick us out of his cab and drove of I will never use this company
