I arrived at the salon for braiding, and at the on set the lady assigned to braid my hair already have an attitude. Throughout the beginning to the end, no one listened to me as I explained that I wanted simple not too full braids. The more I explained, the more the lady was irritated and interrupted everything I said. I specifically begged that if the hair ends up too full, it won’t look good on me, but no, she refused to listen and at some point, walked out on me and refused to continue with the braiding.They refused to listen as I advised that they could achieve what I wanted if they cut the hair big at the back, but no, they both looked at me like I irritated them. At this point I gave up since she refused to correct the mistake.I am obviously going to loose the hair after paying and traveling a distance to make this hair. At the moment I have tiny rashes on my scalp due to the tightness of the hair.Am definitely not going back or not recommending this place to anyone.

I went in for the knotless braids. My normal braided was booked and I needed to leave for vacation so I tried Rebecca. DO NOT GO HERE IF YOU CARE ABOUT YOUR EDGES!!!! I contacted her after to let her know that my braids were tight and very red around the area and she blocked me. I informed her that the reason I paid extra for the knotless technique is to preserve my edges as what the technique is for, to protect the integrity and health of the hair and scalp . I have since taken the entire head out and my edges are completely ripped out. I can. I longer wears my hair back or up which is my normal style. I have to see the dermatologist to see about regrowth. She has blocked me so that I can not contact her. But now I will be taking her to court. I have all of our text messages and my before and after pictures so there isn’t any denying. My head is still sore after a week of these braids being out. AGAIN DO NOT! I am simply OBSESSED with my hair. I have been getting braids for years and I am never satisfied with them. I usually just do it because I know it is a good protective style for my hair. But these braids I have now!!! I love it! They did such a great job and they were so patient. It took a while to get done but it’s because Rebecca believes in quality hair over quantity of time. I love them! Their location is very clean, free wifi, snacks and drinks available for purchase. They also sell waist beads, braiding hair/extensions, bonnets, and other hairstyling products really great business. The quality of the hair is amazing and at the best price you’re gonna find for the service being provided. I usually just text them a pic of what I want and they text me back the price and when I can come in. Very professional and sweet ladies.

Rebecca & her braiders are very talented but Rebecca is pretty unprofessional. I’d been going there for years & they always treated me like I was a child (even got my hand smacked once). They tend to be carelessly rough with combing your hair and have some heavy handed braiders !!! I NEVER got EXACTLY what I wanted as they would ignore my requests or come with an excuse for why their way was better but the style always turned out fantastic & they’re speedy, so I didn’t mind continuously returning. I once went in to get a cornrow fixed & Rebecca made it such a hassle for no reason so my mom ended up taking me up there to kindly explain that I am indeed an adult & should be treated with respect. The next time I tried to reach out to Rebecca, I was BLOCKED. YESSSS ! BLOCKEDDDDD lol. There is one braider there though that is just the sweetest & I wish I remembered her name.I would definitely recommend her services to others, it’s just not for me.

If i say do my childs hair in medium braids and you want to pull her hair and do these tight little braids after I said it like 3 times its crazy to me. My daughter has never cried at a salon and I should of took her to her regular lady but she was out of town. The shop was very unorganized and the customer service was and is horrible. Dont waste your money coming here. Who talks trash about a child being upset because your stylist was doing a horrible job. Smfh

Worst customer service ever. Apparently these people are only respectful to their kind. ( ?!) unsure of why that would be, when if it was not for the African Americans descendants of chattel slavery they wouldn’t have the access they have today. Please beware that if your not a “French” speaking African. You might feel out of place. And don’t critique their work. They will get very very upset. It took 3 people to complete my box braids in 6 hours. But I had to keep complaining in order to keep them aware of my time schedule. If you are quiet I’m sure they will try to multitask and work on more than one head at a time. The braids themselves look good. However, the hair used is of cheap quality I’m sure it won’t last long. I have been going here since three years ago. The individual who does my hair always does an excellent job on my hair. I simply didnt appreciate being told to straighten my hair when they can do it at the braiding shop. This has happened twice before but wanted to give them the benefit of the doubt. Also, I was not giving alternative price options because the original price was changed once I arrived to the shop. People may be experiencing a bad day, but unfortunately people nowadays promote businesses that excercise quality customer service. The other times I went to the salon, the braider was rude to me.

I highly recommend Rebeccas. I went to get my hair braided as a walk in, not to mention my hair is very short and natural. They took me right away and gave a suggestion of twists instead of braids because of the length of my hair. I absolutely love my twists!!!! Im still amazed that they were able to achieve this with such short hair.

I have been a client here for 4 years I come maybe 6 or 7 times out of the year. Sometimes I get feed-in braids, twist, micros, or box braids. Every SINGLE time the execution was to perfection. I absolutely hated going in African salons because of how rude they would be and how every salon I experienced they would try to get over. It never happened here. Rebecca is a really sweet lady and she really aims to please when it come to her clients. One of the things I enjoy most is that my edges are still intact when leaving. That speaks volume within itself. I’m EXTREMELY picky when it comes to someone touching my hair, and I’m pleased every time. Clean environment, nice team!

Just RUDE! I went to Rebeccas this past weekend to get my hair braided. I arrive at 8 am per the time stamp on google. I was not greeted upon entry. Rebecca was braiding her friends hair. They were talking french once I cleared my throat to announce my presence. She turned to me and stated we dont open till 9 a. She asked if I had an appointment, because the style I wanted she had a lot appts. coming in for that same style. But I was the first customer to enter the shop. And there was a sign on the wall that said WALK-IN WELCOME... very uncomfortable.The woman that braided my hair was so so slow. The out come was perfect. However customer service sucks. 8 am-5:30 pm for cornrows. TOO LONG to sit

Hands down the best braided in the DMV. Rebecca takes her time and cares about making the customer happy. I was recommended to her by my aunt. I was hesitant but after going to her, I refuse to go to anyone else. My hair was so neat and in place. Last 3 months too. She did the cornrows and had someone else do the ends. I was fine with that. Will be going back to her very soon!

I really love my braids... This was my first time here and the atmosphere was great, everyone is so nice and after I take these out I’m going back for more... the only suggestion I have is the money we pay they should take them out for free. That’s how they do in SC...

Very Rude! Poor customer service! Disrespectful! This salon does not make you feel welcomed at all. After sitting in the salon for over 4hours (with an appointment) without being recognized, I was finally seen. No telling how long I would have been waiting if I never said anything. After receiving my service I explained I felt I should be compensated for my time wasted. Rebecca was very rude showed no sympathy and offered a $5 discount for waiting over 4 hours with an appointment.

I have never been disappointed with the service and professional capabilities from the stylist at Rebecca hair braiding. I shown my desired style and got exactly what I asked and paid for each time.

I only keep coming here because of the good branders, and they’re not many good braiders that charge less than this place. other than that, don’t waste your time coming here. i set an appointment for 9am, three people came in after, but were attended to first. I think it was because I’m just 16 and they thought the “kid” could wait. very lazy braiders that take constant breaks when you have places to go and to be.

I was very happy when I first got my box braids. They were beautiful and was grateful to be done after sitting there for 6 or 7 hours. However, it came to my attention some time later that the hair extensions were braided around my hair instead of into my hair. Because of this, the braids started to slip out and almost all the braids in the back have fallen out.Ive never had my hair braided this way. Last time I got box braids, they were able create ombre effect using two different hair pieces so the size was uniform. These braids start really thick on top (how I wanted them) and get tiny at the bottom so it looks awkward. The woman that I contacted didnt seem to know how to do it using two hair pieces, the way I wouldve preferred. I shouldnt have settled for something I didnt want because now I have to remove them earlier tthan I wouldve liked because my hairs getting tangled and hard and all the braids are starting to slip..Would recommend if youre wearing them short term, not if you want a lasting protective style.

I have had one of the best braiding experiences at Rebecca Hair Braiding. Rebecca is such a sweetheart and she really Tries her best to make a customer happy. The only thing I can complain about is that my appointment times are never met but I still leave jappy so I can say I’ll keep on going to her.

Will never go back to this place again. I have been to many hair braiding places in the Germantown Gaithersburg area and can’t believe how I was treated today. I made my appointment 2 1/2 weeks before my appointment told them I wanted Senegalese was told medium is $160 agreed that is what I want showed a pic of how I wanted my hair owner asked me again what size said medium. They took it upon them self to make them small then tell me the charge is $180.00. I said no that is not what I agreed to. How u going to tell someone one price then switch it up when u feel like it. That is not good business practice. Also they started my hair at 9:30 am and did not finish until 6:30 pm when I was told it would take 6 hours and I had two people doing my hair worst place ever.

Arrived at 9am and still in chair, with 90% of box braids incomplete..There are 7 braiders all braiding heads that look like there is no end in sight..and its 6:05pm..what time will they finish????This is sad..very sad.
