I value the thoroughness of each exam and clear communication on the issues of concern. CVCA has sent reminders for interim recheck visits with our regular veterinarian, which I appreciate. CVCA has also accommodated the preferred time and date of our appointments. Dr. Cain is a compassionate care provider, and his team reflects that quality. So important to me.

I know my pets are in caring and knowledgeable hands at CVCA. Dr. Cain is knowledgeable and thorough. He has taken care of many of my pets for over 20 years. He always takes the time to explain my pets condition(s) in language that I can easily understand. He answers any questions or concerns I have and works with my pets other veterinarians to ensure my pet is getting the best care. The team at Gaithersburg is great! Always ready with a warm welcome. They are responsive to my communications, returning emails and calls quickly. Especially now at a time in which I cannot be with my pet during the exam, I am grateful for their caring attitude - I trust them with my pet, which says a lot!

The pet care was professional and knowledgeable, but I am not satisfied with the price. Most tests were done at my regular vet. My wife and I were charged over $1000 for a 30 minute visit, which was mostly observation. I find this price outrageous. I know that not all of that is profit, but a big chunk of it is. This visit was done under my wifes name, and she has kept her maiden name which is why you cannot find me. I stand by my review, and state that your fees are outrageous. If you want to contact me by email to adjust these, I can transfer the email to her. Aside from that, I see no reason for you to know which case I am referring to.

Alas, I found myself once again having to take a pet in for a cardiac condition. I was very glad to see that Dr. Tim Cain was still in business and at CVCA. I was even happier to speak to a friendly receptionist who understood my anxiety at learning that one of our cats was identified with a heart condition and worked tirelessly to find me an earlier appointment. Check in was seamless, staff was great, CVCA stuck to the schedule, Dr. Cain came out to explain what was going on and his prescribed treatment. He was open to questions and provided his written report to me before the end of the day. Doesnt get much better than that.

Just wish there was no pandemic preventing meeting Dr. Tim Cain or being with my dog during her visit and testing.CVCA is based in the VRA building directly across from the entrance to the Montgomery County Fairgrounds in Gaithersburg and has a large parking lot with assigned spaces for ease of technician pick up and drop off of pets. Easy to locate and park.Although I never met Dr. Cain, his follow-up call gave me a good idea of his professionalism and bedside manner. He explained my dogs issues thoroughly, and I appreciated his expertise and ease of communication. Fantastic bedside manner.I strongly recommend Dr. Cain and CVCA for veterinary cardiac care.

Dr. Cain has taken care of many of our dogs and cats over the last 16+ years. He is truly an outstanding veterinary cardiologist in every way. I feel extremely fortunate and grateful to have the benefit of his expertise, and I trust him completely with our family members lives.

We so appreciated how kind and thoughtful the CVCA staff were with our cat. We were able to see Dr. Cain on short notice. Intake and procedure explanations were clear. The appointment was incredibly efficient and Dr. Cain went above and beyond to make sure our cat got the follow-up appointment he needed with another specialist.

We have been there several times with one of our foster dogs, Angel. Dr Cain and staff are so professional, knowledgeable, pleasant, and best of all, compassionate! We have NEVER been there and felt less than incredible at the care Angel received. Dr. Cain knew the right combination of drugs (and there are 5), that not only is helping Angel, but she has FAR outlived her disease expectancy and has even gotten some aspects slightly better with minimal (if any dose changes). Even with COVID going on, The Gaithersburg Cardiology office does not skip a beat and the personal touches are so welcome to the dogs caregivers. I cant say enough about this group! They are ASWSOME! The simple touches like welcoming her. In light of changes due to COVID, Dr Cain actually came out to the car to speak to us. Everything was done efficiently and always a great experience.
