Love this place. One thing that could be done better is communication. I too often show up and place is closed without notice. We need some kind of notification system when shop will be closed. Other than that everything is perfect. Look forward to being back soon.

After reading many of the great reviews about this place I was in high hopes that they could provide a good haircut. However, this was not the case. The previous customer did not look pleased after he got his haircut and should have been a warning. They got me in quickly but a bit dismissive of my request for a basic haircut. I gave simple instructions for the low fade cut and how I normal part my hair. I asked for a low fade #3 and an inch off the top. I ended up with a high fade. I asked to keep the corners long to help with the part and he kept taking more and more off. I had to actually stop the barber from continuing on the corners because I realized they didn’t know how a low fade worked. On the top the barber took maybe 1/4-1/2” off when I asked for about a whole inch off. Finishing up the barber used warm shaving foam but a dull straight blade. I have been using a straight blade 10 years to shave and this was the first time I felt my neck hair ripped out from the dull edge of their blade. With the barber constantly getting distracted, I now look like a shirt haired version of Bert from Sesame Street and will now have to go to another barber to get it fixed. Ann’s may have been a good barber shop in the past but my experience and other’s recent reviews show that this shop should be avoided and a even a moderate quality haircut should be sought elsewhere.

Absolutely delightful service! Best haircut ive had in a long long time. I highly recommend it. Questioning some of the bad reviews I see, as this is a fine establishment with even finer people. Oh, and Benny the dog is awesome as well.

We have been going to Ann’s for 25 years. They are they most wonderful people to do business with and always do a fantastic job on haircuts.

I went in for a complete shave head and beard, I was cut during the process and was told both times I was cut that it was my fault. I have mental disabilities and do have a shaking problem but Im aware of when something is my fault or not. I was yelled at and told to never return. I will never give this establishment my time or my dollar. 0/5 waste of $40 if I wanted to get cut and robbed I would move to Baltimore.

By far the best haircut I’ve ever gotten. First haircut that I’ve ever gotten that I liked right away. Normally it takes a day or two. Nain is my go to guy now. Bennie is the sweetest though. He made me miss my family’s pups.

With no doubt, this is BY FAR the worst place I’ve ever been to get a haircut! They only tell you they only accept cash after you get a haircut (even though they have card machines, they just don’t wanna pay for their service). And They never respect their OWN schedule, they always open late and close early (about an hour or two difference). Very disrespectful with the customers.

I have been going to Ann for almost 20 years. She is a great barber and she is one of the nicest people you will ever meet. The rest of her staff are nice and friendly, I have conversations with them even though I only have Ann cut my hair (I’ve always been very loyal to my barber).

Today I went there for my 3 year old Son’s Haircut. I told in the beginning it self that I don’t his hair to be very short in front but lady had cut it very short from one side n the moment I told her that it’s too short she left cutting in between n started shouting that your child is crying I can’t cut it. She didn’t finish his haircut .I told her there is nothing to shout at your customers. As a customer I have full right to say how I want my baby hair.She didn’t listen n was shouting continuously blaming my 3 year old son for bad haircut.That lady in the store is the rudest lady I have seen that to with a child .Will never go there in my lifeWorst experience everMost disrespectful people are sitting in this barber store.

Aside from the costly price for a kids haircut, the lady who cut my sons hair rush through my sons haircut; she was finished in 5 minutes.When she was done, I asked her to cut a little shorter and she hesitated stating my sons hair would not be able to spike up. I told her that was fine as his hair tends to grow fast and she seemed up set that I have asked her to cut more. Not a few seconds went by when she yells. MOM, I am done! I, then notice she did not bother to give my son a shape up. I asked her to do so, and she frowned and did it hesitantly. When it was time to pay and I handed her my debit card, she yells again Mam we wont take debit cards anymore. Next time you come, bring cash! There will not be a next time because I will not be coming back. I rather spend my money where I know my sons haircut wont be rushed and will take the time to make my baby boy look even more handsome.

I wish I could give 0 star. Most horrible barber shop was that in my life. I show them picture and they cut wrong way and they didnt finished and they are started arguing with me. They dont know how to behave and they are all nasty people works here. Im sry. They are the worst barber in this world. I dont know how they making business. I moved away from Gaithersburg over ten years ago and, frankly, I dont have hair to cut anymore. But, talking to someone today, I related that the best barber I ever had was Ann in Gaithersburg. Ann started cutting my hair when she opened her first shop in about 1990, I think. And, she was the best. I went to Google today and see that she is still thriving in her new shop. I am not surprised to see the other great reviews here. Ann, if you read this, I want to wish you the best, from a Former Customer now living in Pennsylvania!

This was my first time here, this 1 star is for the balding older asian man who cut my hair but he should get no stars. I wanted a trim on the top and he butchered my hair even when i told him that hes cutting too much. Left all the cut hair on my head and even missed a couple spots. I was shedding all the way to my car. Worst barber ever. Im pretty sure the other barbers were good but i guess i got a bad one. Give this place a try but dont go to this guy
