Found this company while searching for a place to repair my seat on my Subaru. Many wanted to replace the entire seat cover or couldn’t repair that one specific area, but with Rankin, they were able to easily repair it and at a reasonable price. The guys at Rankin Upholstery were nothing shy of amazing when repairing my Volkswagen seat that was torn and worn. They hung in there with me through the initial estimate, an unforeseen cable issue, two new third-party estimates out of my price range, a search for junkyard parts, and ultimately a rebuild with a combination of functioning parts from the old seat and the replacement seat. It works now and my upholstery repair is strong and looks great! They were more than patient with me the whole time and went out of their way to walk me through the risks and benefits at each step. Im looking forward to using them again to replace my headliner.

We went to them with a Subaru seat replacement. Wed already gone to the dealer and they said we would have to replace the whole seat, at an enormous price tag. We came to Rankin Upholstery and they brainstormed with us the most affordable and efficient way to proceed, presented all our options, and after we found a replacement seat on Ebay at their suggestion, Rankin installed it for just a fraction of the dealer cost. They were friendly, knowledgeable and helpful, as well as maintaining COVID safety precautions and listening to us as partners through the process. Highly recommend them.

Rankin is a very clean and professional establishment. Dan and Matt helped us to get our son’s mustang ready for when he comes home from overseas. And when they heard our son is a Marine, they immediately gave us a 5% military discount. We needed the convertible top replaced and the driver’s seat fixed. They did fabulous work!! The car looks amazing with the new top. The seat now functions after much work on their part with dealing with rusted out bolts and other metal pieces. They took extra care to make sure the work will last for years to come. Matt took the time to show us in great detail everything he was able to fix and improve. Outstanding place! I brought in a backrest for my Harley for some upholstery work. I explained what I wanted done, and they showed me a better, less expensive way to do it, then did it while I waited. They saved me well over a hundred bucks! Matt and Dan operate a first-class operation at Rankin. They showed me many options for bringing my Honda S2000’s fifteen -year old blue leather seats back to new. I’m extremely particular about my cars, and Rankin did a great job at a reasonable price, right down to the spacing of the little holes in the leather.

The owner Daniel is extremely professional and courteous. There are a couple level 2 EV chargers available that he has allowed me to utilize as well.

Great job on my atv seat. Super fast turn around time, have used Rankin for years. Use them for all our upholstery needs.

Nothing but great experiences here. Came in to show Matt my dashboard and ask for some adhesive to hold it down, but he brought up some outstanding points and suggested stapling the material down instead and finishing it off with some caulk. Matt did an exceptional job. The dash is completely fixed and I cant even notice that it was previously damaged. Furthermore, they charged a very reasonable price. If you have any upholstery issues, do yourself a favor and get your car serviced here. You wont regret it.

The top on my Miata burned from ash. Daniel accepted the insurance estimate and ordered the kit right away. The car was ready as promised, interior spotless. It was not when I brought it in. An extra detail of stitching insures no rainrail leaks. Pro shop.

Went to Rankin for a repair to my drivers seat leather. There was a big crack in the seat, and other shops were just going to stitch it shut, but Rankin put in a whole new piece of leather with good color match to the original. Great service, and cheaper than other shops that were going to do less work.Strongly recommend this shop!

The guys are great. Six years ago Rankin replaced my the top on my Mustang. I use my top more than most and it has started to leak. I spoke with Daniel and he had me bring my car in to check the top to see if it was repairable or needed replaced. They sealed around the window to see if that would help and didnt charge me for the time hoping it would fix the problem. Sadly, it did not and I will need a new top, but I will take my car back to Rankin. They were friendly, honest and did everything in their power to save me the expense of a new top.

I used Rankin for the first time this past week. Dealing with Matt was a pleasure - he knows his business extremely well. The workshop is well organised. I had my wifes center console lid recovered,which had become brittle and cracked. I got it back a few days later, looking better than the original, the re-upholstered one looks great! Price was fair. I purchased a new top for my Miata from Robbins and had it installed at Rankin. I found them extremely professional and helpful. I was able to get an appointment for the install quickly and the job was completed on time, even though it needed the rain rail which I hadnt ordered from Robbins. They actually had one in stock! The fit was perfect and the top looked great.

I brought my convertible to Rankin after 2 other outfits gave up on a water leak from my convertible top into my trunk. The problem turned out to be quite complex, but Rankin persisted until it was solved. Also, they were always very honest and always stood behind their work 100%. I highly recommend them without reservation.

This place is awesome! I needed the headliner in my Land Rover to be reupholstered and wanted to do it on the budget, so I decided to do removal and reinstallation myself. Daniel gave me a great quote on reupholstery job that was 40% cheaper then the quote I got from a different upholstery place in Rockville. My headliner required a special order extra-wide fabric, and had two sunroofs and many screw holes for visors, map pockets etc. that had to be carefully cut out. When I got the headliner back, it looked like new, perfectly straight and smooth, and each screw hole was perfectly punched. Very professionally done! It made the reinstallation a breeze. The turnaround time was super-fast, too. It took only two business days including the time waiting for the fabric order to arrive. One day faster than promised.I am very happy with them, and will definitely be back if I need another upholstery job.
