My regular schedule pick up is on Monday at 8:30am. I have been a loyal customer for over two (2) years. This is the third time with this complaint. I had to move my trash can to the side of my house. The trashcan was in plain view and was ready four days before pickup. The passei decided to be interested in my neighbor. His advances were rejected. Due to this, my garage was NOT taken that day.I called immediately to report the incident. I was told that they would send the driver a message. No pick up att all Monday. I called on Tuesday with a reminder call. I was then told, I am on their schedule for Tuesday and they have until 7p to get my garage. It was not done. I called Wednesday and it went to voicemail. I contacted a supervisor, address taken. No trash pickup. Friday and still no pick up.
Called to set up our service. Nothing happened for a week. Called again, and found out they never processed our order. Set up service again, for a scheduled bin delivery on a Friday. This time, they processed our payment. Bin was a no-show. Called again on Saturday and twice on Monday. Despite assuring us that it would be delivered by the end of the day, still no bin.This company will take your money and not do anything to fulfill an order. Avoid if at all possible.
Paid for trash pickup service, but my trash sat at the edge of my yard by the street for 3 weeks without ever being picked up. I called frequently and was told the garbage truck would get it next time. Each time I called I requested a call back from a manager, but that has yet to occur (over a month since I paid for service). I cancelled this service after the third week of them not picking up the trash. They tell me that it will take 55 DAYS to refund my money, that they took in a matter of minutes. This company is grossly unprofessional and unethical, making promises that are not kept.
Paid $100 for extra pick up on Monday they didnt come. when I called them they said it was to be done on Tuesday again never came. I called Wednesday morning they told me the dumpster was picked up!!! well thats funny considering I have a full dumpster still. mind you I have normal pick up on Thursday! I told them to cancel the extra pick up. I asked them if I would be refunding the $100 extra charge and the guy told me he would have to get with the boss. I asked if I would be getting a call back lol.. he said no. omg …. does this look like it was picked up 1/2 day ago?....
They are very lazy! The make up rules to keep them from doing their job and thats to pick up the trash!!!
Charged me for a 96 gallon bin when I didnt even have a bin at all at first. I had to call to get bins and elected to get the 35 gallon. Refused to change the charge for the time when I didnt even have a bin. Also entirely skipped my street on trash day. Makes sense theyre a waste company as the services they provide are absolute garbage
I had not received a bill since March 2020 which was paid in April 2020. I just received a bill on Friday for $300 which was 5/4 worth of service that I was not billed for that I am now expected to pay within the next 21 days or else they will cut my service. I checked their website over a month ago and there were still no bills since March 2020 now miraculously there’s bills all every quarter that are marked unpaid yet when I logged into the website my balance was zero.
Called Monday to make sure they could do bulk pickup for a mattress—was assured Tuesday was our bulk pickup day and we were on the schedule. Mattress was not picked up Tuesday, so I called again and was told they had until 7pm Wednesday to do bulk pickup. Called at 1pm Wednesday to make sure the mattress would be picked up because we are going to be affected by tropical storm Eta overnight. Was assured it would be picked up, but to call around 4 pm if it had not been collected. Called at 4, was told pickup would happen before 7 pm. Now it is past 7 pm, the mattress has not been picked up, and is soaking wet. If we leave it outside it will be a hazard in this storm, so we have no choice but to go outside and find somewhere to put a mattress that’s been sitting outside in the rain for 2 days. Awful and irresponsible company.
Took 3.5 weeks to be able to set up service which required me having to call repeatedly. When I was finally able to make a payment and voice my frustration, the person I was talking with seemed like he couldnt care less.. He didnt even bother to offer an apology. My trashcan still hasnt been delivered and wont be until after pick up this week. But there are no other options in my area so I guess it doesnt really matter anyway.The only positive is that Bonnie has been very courteous each time I have spoken with her.Edited to add. Apparently, if you have more trash then what will fit into your can, you have to purchase special trash bags to the trash in or they wont pick it up. Was this told upfront? Ofcourse not.
Absolutely the worse trash company ever. When you call to speak with a supervisor, youll never receive a callback and everyone seems to not know anything. Also, I came home yesterday and there was trash all over my yard, driver was careless as can be. If I could post pics I would........calling tomorrow to cancel service.
I am disabled & live in a townhouse. I submitted my Dr.’s note 3 months ago for WCA to pick up my trash & recycling in the back of my home. It has been 3 months & every week I have to call them because they haven’t picked up something!! Either they don’t get the trash & pick up recycling, or Vice versa. I have spoken to 5 people in 2 days, & my trash is still sitting In the hot sun! I have asked for a supervisor to call & have NEVER received a call! They are by far the worst company for customer service I have dealt with, especially since they are paid for this service!! They need a whole new management staff
I have been trying to set up new service and am now on the my 20th call. There is only one customer service representative who is respectful and helpful and her name is Bonnie. The rude & insolent male customer service representatives who answer the phone will not let me talk to Bonnie. Dominick reported in my file that I would only speak to a woman & that I refused to pay the initial fee. That is a lie!! Bonnie was the ONLY one who was helpful and she knew the details of my situation and I wanted to talk to her again. Dominick refused. Today he hung up on me. I just wanted to give Bonnie a quick update that would have taken just 30 seconds. I told him I was going to report him to the Better Business Bureau and he said, Go ahead. I did pay for the service last Friday with Bonnie and so we will see if this WCA will be able to help me. I hope so. They have a lot of bad reviews all over the internet, but my only other option is to drive to the rural collection center 30 minutes away.
Have both normal trash and recycle pick up for decades. Trash pick up seems done regularly. I have had to call a couple of times for missed pick up of recycled. Also, while I conveniently place recycleable containers for super easy pick up, they somehow are thrown in the middle of the driveway. I have called and asked not to be forced to exit vehicle in the middle of the road to clear inappropriately thrown empty containers. Will probably cancel service if they wont complete paid for service properly.
They have very nice customer service people, but horrible follow through. Our weekly residential recycling was not picked up five of the last 12 weeks. What it means is that I get to chase cardboard around the neighborhood because I leave it out assuming theyll eventually come, they dont, but wind does. Plus, we build a massive backlog of recycling that only goes out a bin at a time. Going forward, Ill take our one bag a week to the dump and my recycling along with it. The service is barely worth the cost as it is, but when they skip so many weeks it makes the decision to leave the service an easy one.
I paid someone to cut some limbs and debris up in my yard after getting an orange tag for it from WCA. It has sat there for two weeks now killing the grass in my yard and being a complete eyesore and in the way of my driveway. My yard man and I have called five times between the two of us and have been promised every time that it would be picked up by 9 PM that day yet here it sits for almost 2 weeks. No one will respond and anytime I do get someone on the phone they say they see the work order and it will be done by nine that night. Two weeks now!? Absolutely ridiculous.
Have had storm debris, in the required size, on our yard infront of the street for over a month. Called and spoke with 8 different people, the most recent was Dominick. All previous employees stated that the claw truck was required and scheduled for today. Needless to say, it hasnt shown up at all. Today Im told they have no date of when to expect it removed. I asked to speak to a supervisor and was told that wasnt possible. They could send a message but couldnt guarantee a response. Now I have called the corporate office and was told the supervisors are busy and will get back to me within 24 hours. Still waiting.Update. A local supervisor called me a few days ago to resolve the issue. He was fantastic. The major problem was how he was notified to call me. It was not through the people that worked for him, it was through a supervisor in another city that emailed him about the problem. The local area guy that answered the phone never informed him of the situation. Kind of hard for supervisors to do their jobs when they don’t know what’s going on in their organization. Pretty bad communications issues within the company. However, updated to three stars for the way the supervisor handled the situation. Had everyone acted as the 2 supervisors, they would have a 5 star organization. Guess it’s hard to get good help these days.
Moved into the area and only had one recycling bin. Contacted them directly because one of the guys in the trucks said theyd be happy to help get more recycle bins. Once I contact with them on the phone they were very polite and sent out to extra Bins at no charge. Very good customer service.
They just forget about the rural parts of alachua county. We pay 3mons in advance and they come pick up the trash wen they feel like it. Call complain and still nothin happens. Does anyone know a complaint department number?
They never pick up recycling. I am paid in full and have to call them every month to remind them to pick up recycling. THere is no accountability and thee is no response.
I dont know where to start with this company. I have never had such bad service when it came to garbage pickup in my life. I cant even count how many times my garbage has been left or thrown around the street for me to pick up 8 to 10 hours after they came by. I have called multiple times and can never get someone on the line unless its to pay. They are extremely unprofessional in every way. If there was any other option, I would gladly use any other company besides wca.
If I could give a zero I would. Been fighting with them to empty my dumpster. Its been a month now and no one will call me back but yet they want their monthly payment. Ive got trash and bugs coming out my ears. Very disgusting and yet they want you to sign a 6 yr contract. I would not go thru this company at all.

Constantly missing trash pick up. Had this problem before, switched to a smaller company, then these people bought them out. Going on 3 weeks of trash build up. Cant get anyone to answer the phone, or return voice mails, or emails. 1 star is too high. If you have another option, use it.
Walking back home I noticed one of the gentleman just throwing the recycling bins to the side of the road with no regards and cracking the bins. Please have the decency to put them back without damaging the bins. Thank you.
They charge me by weight everytime I go there. I pay for City Trash (WCA) who wont even take half the trash.
Under new company who fixes cans, I dont have to worry about wholes in the bottom anymore but they may have switched owners or something I dont know
So very frustrating, have had this service for just over one year, trash pick up has been missed 3 times and recycling twice. when i call they say someone will pick it up has not happened yet on any occasion. not sure why it is acceptable for a business to charge for services not received. there needs to be another trash service in the area so that wca has competition and does not have the public at their mercy.shameful and unethical.
I have called several times asking for a supervisor I’m advised it takes 2-4 business days it’s been a week I’m frustrated the only thing good about this company is they take all the garbage but they have poor customer service . They need to do a better Job .
Yard bags left sitting by the roadside for 3 weeks. Tonight the driver decides to blow his horn, then drives off leaving the bags behind. Contacted management 3 times last week and thus far no resolve. Spend your money where it is appreciated.
Very kind people---I was running out to the curb with a bag that would have smelled awful if left in a can for a week. The workers had emptied our garbage can and were about to pull away. They saw me and stopped and were so good about it, as though they were happy to stop for me. I was so impressed by their kindness and professionalism!
We, Jensen Handyman Services LLC, contacted WCA to rental a rolloff dumpster. Our call was directed to Zach Munson. He offered us a good deal when we spoke with him on Tuesday 11/26. We called him on Wednesday to complete the deal. He said no problem to have the dumpster for Monday morning 12/2. He told us customer service would call to arrange our payment. They did not call us. Mr. Munson did not respond to many calls and texts. Monday came and with no dumpster and no contact from Mr. Munson despite our repeated calls and texts. When he finally did call back they did not even have the size dumpster he promised. Then he also wanted to increase the cost. He claimed he did not realize we were a construction company despite our conversations and written texts with our company name. Very disappointed! Will not use them and we dont recommend you do either.
This is the trash collector used by my apartment complex. I am under the impression that it is their policy that if it’s not in the dumpster is not their problem. During move out season we have a ton of trash and the dumpster filled up incredibly quickly, to the point that people were placing their trash in front of or next to the dumpster. On trash collection days, the trash not in the dumpster is continuously ignored and left in the parking lot in the hopes that they person who left it there will dispose of it appropriately. I understand that this trash may in fact, not actually be their concern as it never made it to the dumpster. However, on multiple occasions, while the dumpster was being lifted into the truck, items or trash bags have fallen out onto cars or the parking lot. In which case, the collectors seem to ignore the trash that they let fall out of the dumpster and drive off, littering our parking lot.While I am annoyed, I understand that trash that is not in the dumpster may not be their problem. But the blatant disregard to the environment that has been shown when trash falls out of the dumpster en route to the truck is something that I really cannot understand. This company is supposed to help manage our waste, not strew it back onto the ground after it as been properly disposed of.
Had a truck pull out in front of me this morning. I had to almost come to a stop to avoid hitting him so I went around and beeped my horn to let him know that he did that and he blew his horn back at me as if I had pulled out in front of him. Rude drivers and employees! You would think they would work on their customer service since the majority reviews here are negative. I called the company and left a complaint.
DO NOT USE! If you are looking for a commercial wast service do not use them. They have outrageous fees they randomly put on you, and have horrendous customer service. Wish I could give them 0 stars.

Woke up today with a bag of our trash spread over our yard. Called and complained and according to Dominic theres.no way they could have done it and it must have been one of our neighbors.... Lived here 5 years and never had issues with my neighbors. The people on the trucks are lazy and rude.
They leave crap everywhere when they pick up the sticks and limbs. Also been almost 2 weeks since the 3 day storm and they are still backlogged and unable to say when they will pick up yard waste. Id hate to see what kind of service these clowns will provide after a real hurricane.
The customer service from the office is great. Very kind and helpful. But the truck service is very bad. Whether its my yard waste or someone elses, they simply are not attentive to the details of their jobs. They leave sticks and debris in the yards and on the street. They often leave the empty cans lying on their sides. It simply does not look like a job done by a business that is devoted to excellence. I dont know if its the entire business or the people working on our route, but if it were any other business (food, clothing, etc.) I would never hire them or attend their place of business. This could have been a more harsh review, but I hope it is constructive criticism for WCA.
After moving they canNOT figure out how to change my service address and pick up my garbage/recycling. It has been more than a month, thats 5 tries at getting this right. Its not that hard people. UPDATE THE ADDRESS. Too late now. I am cancelling my service and requesting a refund.
Just today a waist truck comes by my house on state rt. 27 in high springs and had his lift up in the air and trash blowing out everywhere in the road.. I yelled to inform the driver. He slowed down like he was going too stop but then continues on like nothing was going on. I know darn well he could see all that trash blowing out.., this is truly unacceptable and extremely unprofessional of a business.
If there is any other garbage service in your area USE THEM! WCA Sucks, the commercial dumpster at our golf course has not been dumped in 3 weeks and its not the first time theyve went this long! Do what you get paid to do WCA! If I could give ZERO STARS, I would!
Crews are always pleasant and efficient
Always miss delivery and when you call they have no idea what is going on. it has happened many times that they miss their weekly pickup and they refuse to issue credit. in 20 years we had more than 12 % rate increase. I do not see any increase in fuel cost. stay away if you can
WCA of Gainesville agreed verbally to a seasonal contract and then when I signed the small print indicated I was tied up for 60 months, they refused to adjust the contract and have threatened my credit and forced me to hire a lawyer. They are the most unethical group of people! Beware of doing any business with them as your legal costs will out weight any fake promises they make.

Horrible company with predatory pricing for construction rolloff dumpsters. They charge more just for just the hauling than Wastepro charges for delivery, pickup and dumping. Cant imagine why anyone would ever use them if they have any other options.

Two times within one month they have skipped the trash at my house while everyone else in the neighborhood was serviced. I called and was told a work order was put in for that night to be picked up and now 4 days later it is still sitting on the side of the road for pickup. Tried calling to speak with route manager, and he still has yet to return my call. Hopefully corporate will handle my complaint.

The most awful costumer service ever. After being put on hold/transferred around 4 different times..... i was told my trash would be picked up - it was never - and i was never mailed a sticker.....
They really dont even deserve 1 star! And apparently their services havent changed much over the years because they still suck! Missed pick-ups, more than once, and when you call to ask why, they have NO CLUE! One time My trash literally sat out beside the road for TWO WEEKS without being picked up.

This missed our weekly pickup on 3/15/19 and as of 3/20/19 they have still not picked up. I called them twice and was told that someone would call me back. They didnt.
