Sylvan Learning Center is an excellent Organization. The staff is professional and courteous, always concerned about the student welfare. Four of my kids attended sylvan and went on to have a successful career. I am so appreciated of the job they have done and would recommend them to everyone. My daughter was struggling in school and throwing fits to do any school work. After starting Sylvan her grades have went up and she is more enthusiastic do do school work. The people at Sylvan Learning of Gainesville are patient and very caring. They are taking the time to have her understand the material and not just buzz through the curriculum. I would highly recommend Sylvan.

My son was really struggling in first grade, and I decided to bring him to Sylvan and he has started to make a lot of progress with the consistent help that they offer him weekly. I love it so much that I have enrolled my other son in their center for tutoring. My son was really struggling and very behind in ELA/reading and was going into second grade. So behind that repeating first grade was discussed. Within the first weeks of attending, he was making noticeable advances. His school teachers even noticed. He thinks Mrs. Pat is awesome, and we agree! We are so happy we decided to bring him to Sylvan!

My daughter loves to go to sylvan after school. The one on one attention that they give their students is great and it has helped with improving my daughters grades.

My son has been struggling with his education and once he started going to Sylvan he has improved tremendously. When my child was struggling academically in reading, I began searching for a tutor. The name that I heard from other parents as well as from family members was Sylvan Learning. My daughter began tutoring in November 2019 while she was in the 2nd grade. She is now in the 3rd grade and has made tremendous progress with her reading skills. My daughter went from trying to avoid reading to now reading a chapter book aloud to me! I’m so proud of her work and I know that the Sylvan Learning team has been instrumental in her success. Great place for kids to learn I bring my granddaughter here and she has learned so much she was having a hard time reading and now she can read and all really recommended it great place and good people.

Went for a test at prometric. I used the noise cancelling headphones and still heard the staff talking loudy. The headphones hurt my ears. Other wise it was fine.

Sylvan has been extremely helpful in making sure my 7th grader was able to improve his reading level by an ENORMOUS margin. He started at a Kindergarten reading level, and now he’s all the way up to 6th grade reading level!

Amazing staff! So far so good. Nothing but nice things to say. So far Megan has been very helpful and understand, also seeing what my child needs and takes time to talk with me on everything.

We signed our grand daughter up for another program run by a well known university. What a disaster. They did not do a reading assessment and placed her based upon the school grade she would be entering. The tutors did not pay attention even when her mom asked for help. They had a substitute the second week of a 5 week program. Our granddaughter was so stressed because she could not do what the other kids could. She started acting out at home and was unhappy. We pulled her out and brought her to Sylvan for a reading assessment. She did not know her phonetics and was barely working at kindergarten level. We signed her up and she loves coming to Sylvan. The Director and Staff are friendly and helpful. They are patient with our grand daughter and in answering my questions. They are working with her first grade teacher. Too soon to tell but expect my grand daughter to catch up by the end of their recommended program.

The staff here are all very friendly, knowledgeable, and are genuinely invested in each students’ progress. Camille was very patient with me because I am a very inquisitive person and had tons of questions. I really appreciated not feeling like a number and I know my nephew and niece will receive the attention they deserve. I am very pleased with the educators and staff at Sylvan Learning Center in Gainesville, Fl. My son has been attending Sylvan for about two months. He actually wants to go even on Saturdays. With the variety of resources which Sylvan possesses, children of all ages are able to receive the assistance they need on becoming academically successful!

Sylvan has made such a positive impact on my son. He has struggled in school for years which has really defeated his self confidence. This is really good place for tutoring in areas you are struggling in. The people here are really cool and they have good hearts. They will make sure you understand the material.

From the moment they took my call to administering the standardized test with my child, they have been nothing short of professional, extremely supportive, customer service oriented and just fantastic people to work with.AND!! My six year old absolutely LOVED the ring pops at the end of each session for job well done.The director treated me and my husband, the parents, with utmost support, and they interacted with my son, a six year old with genuine care and a sense of humor and motivation that little children can relate to.I will definitely recommend the place as well as the staff for any type of testing and/or educational services.

I have taken my TOEFL exam there, it is a little bit small centre. The ladies there very friendly cooperative and ready to help you any time you want.I have been in other TOEFL centers in Middle East but from my view this centre is good compared to them where they have larger space comparing to this.I had one ear muffs and one headphones. In my view its better to supply the centre with noise cancelation headphones because it is very important for the candidate to be isolated from speaking section( in TOEFL) of other test taker while he is doing writing section.

Sylvan has heen great to my daughter. Whiting 2 months my daughter has shown so much improvement. Her grades went up. It makes me feel that my money it worth every penny. Thay also stay in contact with her teacher by email...

Sylvan Learning of Gainesville is such an awesome place to be! The people there are just so nice and patient! My son needs help with English and they are going above and beyond to help him.

💥 NOT WORTH THE MONEY!! We dropped $2,500 with Sylvan. Thats $2,500 we didnt have, $2,500 we thought would definitely make a difference in our daughters reading. She improved from 11 words per minute to 20 WPM, with the grade level being 60. Plus your child will be put into a group with other children, where she complained many times that they didnt do their work and distracted her. With these results I feel they are outrageously priced!! This is not that great of a success for $2,500!! Youre a rip off Sylvan and obviously all about the money.

I cannot begin to say enough about Sylvan. They are professional, patient and dedicated to their students. I am impressed with how quickly my son has advanced in their math program!!

This center is amazing. It has helped my son an my daughter with their reading and comprehension.

I honestly cannot think of one bad thing to say about this place! From the very first phone call to the last visit, I was greeted so nicely, as was my child. She fell in love the very first day with the staff. Every time we would leave, she would be full of excitement and admiration for that days tutor. She learned so much in such a short period of time. The schedule was always so prompt. Sessions began and ended exactly on time. The directors of the facility, Lee and Jill, were the only two I dealt with personally as a parent. They were both so accommodating and really show genuine interest in EVERY student that enters the door. I was so surprised to hear them asking students about tests at school as well as things like baseball. They truly invest in every student and the results show that. I would recommend Sylvan Learning in Gainesville to anyone who has a student that is struggling or just needs an extra push. It built my daughters confidence back up, where she had been defeated from bad grades. She has always loved to learn and go to school, but after bad grades took over, she took a turn and was very anxious, nervous and just defeated. Also, they were so quick to communicate with teachers and tutors at the school. I really just cant say enough great things about Sylvan!!
