Update: I see that the person that responded to my emails did not comprehend the meaning of “undecided” when I mentioned the locations of properties I took interest in. I confused them due to the properties being located in counties outside of their service area. I clarified that information in my second email response. They still misunderstood…MV if a potential customer isn’t planning to build in your service area (which I very well could decide to) it is still good business to give them the general estimate they inquired for. The rep immediately shut that down with their first response which was mind blowing. After going back and forth they finally provided me with the estimate. This could have been provided in their first response to me, which reaffirmed which counties they do service. I’ll pursue services with another builder that hires representatives with better customer service skills.———Thus far I’m not satisfied with their introduction. I reached out to take advantage of their free build estimation service. I provided them with detailed information of my wants/needs and also mentioned my location to build was undecided. The response I received via email completely dismissed all the information I provided only to tell me they do not build in my area (reminder I stated I was undecided). Im completely aware of where this company can build, so I’m not understanding why they cut short of wanting to probe for further information. Hopefully, this can be amended. But I’ll likely keep looking.

I wanted to rate this business because my husband and I are looking for a builder to build our dream home in the next year or so. I found Mountain View Home Builders today 7-13-2021 on a site where I found my house plans. Doug was very friendly and answered my many questions. My husband Jeffrey and I are looking forward to working with Doug when we get ready to build our dream home. Thank you Doug.

We interviewed a number of builders before choosing Doug and Mike and couldn’t feel more satisfied or fortunate with our choice. Planning and construction started when we were not living in Georgia and Doug went far beyond our expectations to speak with us and document every phase of construction. The building lot proved to be more problematic than expected but they persevered until a great solution was realized. Once we were in our temporary Georgia housing both Doug and Mike responded to our endless questions and requests for changes without hesitation. At our request they also made suggestions based on their knowledge and experience that proved invaluable. The subcontractors they engaged were equally respectful and responsive to our ideas. The construction site was meticulously maintained which is a direct reflection of the care and thoroughness with which they approached the project from beginning to end.Five stars are not enough to relay how highly we recommend Mountain View Home Builders. When Nita and I started planning our new house project, our biggest concern was finding a builder we could trust and rely upon. When we met the owners of Mountain View Home Builders (MVHB), our concern was laid to rest. From our initial meeting until the end of the project, they made the project an enjoyable adventure. When we met them, we told them we were very “picky” in how we wanted the house constructed. They received this bit of information openly and they provided us with a quality constructed home.Our home is a Southern Living house plan and MVHB is an approved Southern Living builder. This information was the major reason we initially contacted them about constructing our home. Another was the glowing remarks from their former clients. Once construction commenced, I talked with all their subcontractors and they also reinforced our decision to have MVHB construct our home.We have never seen or heard of builders who managed their project as MVHB. The project site was always kept free of construction debris and their contractors always adhered to MVHB policies while on the construction site. We were always kept informed as construction progressed from permitting forward.
