Its very hot out there.... They should have some tools to help the people that dont have any. It was so extremely hot so I went to get a soda out of their soda machine which wouldnt take change or cash... Then had me swipe my card 3 times and took all of it. But they had an extremely attentive employee who used her card and bought me a soda and their customer service was great. Ill be a returning customer
Easy to get a quote to buy my car. Car was 30 years old; still running and in good shape. Just couldnt justify the cost of the repair needed compared to value. They gave me a good price for the car. But they were supposed to pick it up between 9 & 10:30am but didnt pick it up til after 2 pm. I found that kinda hypocritical since they threatened to have my car towed outside the yard if I didnt pick my check up in time....tho they already had a signed title. Sooo.....moral of the story----they will give you good money for your car but customer service is about 50/50 on polite/ jerkish.
Its on 441 not nw 13th st. Uber and lyft cant figure that out
Will never do business here again. Qote me 630 buck then get there unload car an then say only can give u 200 take it or leave it an wouldnt even help me reload my car so had no choice but take 200. What a joke
Great Place To Get Your Parts For Your Truck And Cars And Vans!!!
They charge $3.00 dollars just to get into the junk yard if they have the part or not. I walked all the way to the back only to find the car almost picked clean.
Very very unprofessional. They profiled me and accused me of stealing my own part. They demanded that I pay for BOTH the used part I pulled off the vehicle myself and then pay for my own part that I had n the car to match with the pulled part... absolutely ridiculous! Ill NEVER GO THERE AGAIN
Good assortment and very well organized at a great price
Hats off to the driver of one of their company vehicles. The driver did an incredible job avoiding an bad accident when another vehicle pulled out in front of him in High Springs.
Not sure whats going on but there inventory is getting smaller.
I needed a molding for a F250 SD..I did find what i needed, although i was charged for 2 of them instead of the one. And they snuck in a warrenty charge. It should have cost $5,with their sneakieness they got me fir $14.63
Something for all cars but rude employees
Place always has good stuff and good selection I dig it
Watch out. They tacked on extended warranty on every part I got without asking if I wanted it. I caught this on my receipt after I loaded the stuff in the car. Went right back in dealt with sameperson and they made me bring everything back in to refund the $50 difference
Love the environment and professionalism of the company
Very helpful very courteous
Very clean and fast entry service. Prices are very fair and the staff is very pleasant to deal with.
Very importantIf you are looking for spare parts for your car, you are in the right placeDont forget to cache 💰
Illegal search.I went there, didnt have the luck with the parts Im looking for. Went out, with a heavy tool bag in my hand.Staff came out asked to search my tool bag without any evidence shown to me. I dont mind my tool bag searched, since there is nothing personal in the bag. And I understand why they do it. But it doesnt mean I appreciate they doing it.That is a shity business practice nonetheless.
Was told not return after employees came to me to tell me they came give me discounts if I pay them in the parking lot. Told management and they asked if me not to return. Their employees word is gold. I use to buy parts from them spent big at least once a month.
The staff was pleasant. They were very helpful.
Usually good but did not have any Chrysler Town & Country vans or any Dodge Grand caravans we own five and need parts from them
I call for part for a friend car
Lots of fun good people lots of junk..
Horrible service, lkq Daytona and Orlando the best
I’ve been to LKQ 2 times. The first time I got what I needed within minutes and the staff was professional with assistBig me. I only needed one thing, my last recent visit. A steering column, I went there once got the wrong one so I took it back and got a refund, that same visit coming back to return the part I also went to pull another steering column while I was there, I spent 3 hours out there drenched in sweat head to toe. I bring it up there and the lady tells me she can’t sell me it because it has an airbag in it. I told her I didn’t have the tools at the moment, that they were at home and she says “well you’re still going to have to get that airbag out” in a nasty tone, I said “the last time I came here I was told only to take it out if it had been deployed” and got snarky and gave me attitude saying well if you don’t like it you can leave. And told me she was the the boss. I’ve never seen such an unprofessional person at the desk like that, I’m never going back to LKQ And I’m especially not dealing with that rude lady. She wouldn’t even let the people behind me buy it for me after they kicked me out and called the cops.
Had the parts I needed but the van behind what I needed was blocking the rear hatch. I had to remove the rear van door to be able to get what I needed.
Parts in stocks on website arent on lot
Nothing you need, the people in the office have bad attitudes!
Never had to wear a mask in a junkyard before, incredible! Everything else was ok.
I went to the Gainesville Fl. location on Saturday afternoon. Found the receiver hitch for my truck. I removed half the bolts, but couldn’t complete because the truck was positioned with the stand directly under the spare tire.I talked with the cashier and was told that they could reposition the vehicle on Monday morning. I get there and not only did they reposition, they removed the part. The “plant manager” says their employees are not permitted to pull parts. Beware! If you can’t finish the job, don’t expect your part to be there at open of business the next day
Hardly ever have bmw and if they do, theyre quickly scrapped and left to set for months like that.
The manager needs to be more involved and watch his counter help, I had no problem this visit but one before the lady that checked me and my brother in was very hateful for no reason.
Great place to find a reasonable priced used part
I went to find the vehicle I needed parts from was just a stripped down chasis. It had arrived that same day. They literally put it in the yard that way after stripping it of everything you might need. Zero stars LKQ.
In todays world of computers, easy access to information at your finger tips. LKQ Gainesville has to be the equivalent of Cavemen and I am giving cavemen a bad name. They would not refund a large monetary purchase claiming that they needed the paper receipt. They have computer inventory of all purchases and by who. Even after showing the purchase on my phone from my bank, the little girl told me I was S.O.L.If you need a part, I suggest you go somewhere else who will honor their refund policy. They love to blow smoke up your backside at the Gainesville LKQ.
Have been here many times and spent thousands pf dollars here. They require a mask to be outside no thanks I will never buy from your company again I will go to an American junkyard.
Excellent directions to the parts I needed. Helpful staff provided some additional details about the LKQ rewards program too. Double win!! 🙂
Very helpful, but dont forget it costs $2.00 to enter.
Friendly helpful people. Neat organized vehicles. Good prices.
U can find watever u need plus cheap cant beat that
Absolutely fabulous
This company obviously has some good management. At least, here in the Gainesville/Lake City area. Because we are 2 for 2 in dealing we th friendly knowledgeable employees that go out of their way to be helpful . The first was a friendly young man in Admissions at the Gainesville location. He knows the inventory so well that he could instantly tell us whether he had the cars we needed. He didn’t. But we were thoroughly entertained by his narration, including likening one car to a chicken thigh that’s been gnawed down to the bone. He recommended calling the Lake City location, which did have the car in park we needed. Again, we encountered an employee who went above and beyond to make sure we got what we needed when we needed it. Good job, LKQ!
Nothing bad. I just wont come back.
Very Nice Place. If you have the right tools, and the right experience on removing the item, it will be a piece of cake. All of there items are tested, and all the items i bought from them worked and lasted. Would highly recommend this place if you have a fixer-upper car and need some parts. All of them are extremely cheap. And many of my toasted cars they bought off me at an amazing price.
Great place to waste money on tires. Complete joke and would not ever recommend
I dont go to LKQ enough to say that I like or love it. However, if you need car parts, thats the place to go. Decent prices and the staff around LKQ are pleasant.
Unprofessional and unorganized.
They are reasonable on prices, no issues with staff or cashier.HOWEVER, DONT BRING ANY NICE OR EXPENSIVE TOOLS! if you go to this location be on the lookout for just about anyone walking about without tools. (especially if they are walking around with a measly hubcap or a lug wrench that came off a car already out there) They will act like there looking for a tire or light bulb. There are literally thieves hiding around the corner of the car you need parts from, just waiting to snatch some of your tools! Just today, I had to tackle a guy into a fender while another guy had to threaten him with a crowbar to get my $400 DeWalt impact gun back he snatched and tried to walk away with. he put it in the bag he was walking around with, must have thought he would get away with it. he is lucky I didnt have him arrested. this is not the only time I have had a theft occur at this location.
Friendly and helpful
Make sure to bring your own tools when you go.They have the vehicles lined by maker, so I was able to mix and match to get all the parts I needed. The price was fantastic too.
Maybe there are some good prices here, but when I went to get a part for my Toyota, they wanted more for the used part than I found for a brand new part online. The part was $135 from the dealer, LKQ wanted $105 for the used part, but I found a brand new OEM part online for $65 with free shipping. This might have been a fluke, BUT a used part from a junkyard should be no more than 50% of the dealer price. I also found that their website wont search some car models properly, so youll wind up finding parts that the site SAYS will fit your car, but when you dig deeper, they wont, so before ordering a part from them, check it on the phone by your VIN number.
I called and got a cost quote as to value they were willing to pay for my dead car. No trainee. Took to them. In an out. No problems. Personal were very nice to work with. They offered more than anyone else ordered. Recommend highly .
Easy does it
Went on this 40 percent off sale, not a sale at all. Cars were organized okay, cars lifted off ground ok. Things are picked over a lot. Ive heard good things about this place, but better parts and prices at the family ran local salvage yards. They need better pictures on the website as well. Waste of a drive from Ocala for me but to each his own.
Got what I needed for a 10th of the cost
This sweaty white guy who had no problems yelling at the older man in front of me all because the older man Could I hear him really needs to get a life I understand that it doesnt take much talents do what he does but his behavior was unacceptable a very mean. He had very poor customer service skills
I have dealt with LKQ for quite some time now and have had decent service. Recently called to sell a car for a customer of mine and got a quote, explain what I had and stated that the vehicle was handicap accessible and on a e350 chassis but a big passenger van/bus. Was asked if it would be dropped off or if I wanted them to tow it. Told them it would have to be towed. Got quoted $370. Got approval from customer and called to set up the pick up. Was told that towing wasnt included in the estimate. Now they will do $310. Aggravated me because I told them itd have to be towed but said ok fine. Got the thing picked up and went to turn title in and get paid. They said they didnt know it was that large and the tow truck complained and charged them more so they could only do $275. They also stated that there was large amounts of trash in it, it did have paper in it but no more then 10-12 balled up papers (been ised to haul kids around). I did not personally go to pick up the check as I said I was setting it up for my customer so they took the $275, cleaned the paper out of the van and left. I call because it made me mad that they lowered the price for towing twice after I said it had to be towed and also said it was big. They said that basically they couldnt do anything because the ticket had been closed. That is piss poor management and poor service.
Great parts, lots of cars, online searchable inventory, good pricing, good layout, great location, awesome staff! Good return policy. Love this place!
Good place to go for used parts.
Great place for good used car parts. Friendly people are helpful. Cool carts to pull and put parts on.
Its a u pick junk yard. They had several mid 90s accords which I needed a steering wheel for. The yard was weed free and dry, the cars where set up off the ground on stands, making working on them easier. I went back for another part later and the yard looked totally different so they must cycle through the cars fast.
LKQ is a great place for parts.
LKQ Gainesville Florida has some of the most shady and underhanded business practices I have ever seen. I was selling them an old SUV. I called their corporate office and got an over the phone quote. I showed up at the yard to deliver the vehicle. Theu refused to help me unload the vehicle, it was cold and raining. I proceed to unload the SUV and go back to the window, there was a different guy at the window. I said I just unloaded the yellow SUV he laughs and says I know we were all watching in here. Im then told that they need to inspect the vehicle, AFTER I unloaded it, then they will give me a final price. I ask if Im not happy about the price to I have to load the vehicle back on my trailer, by myself, in the rain. Without skipping a beat he laughs again and says yes. They give you a price on the phone, then give you $50 or more less than the quoted price. Unless you want to load a 500lb SUV without a motor and transmission back onto the trailer by yourself. They refuse to inspect the vehicle on the trailer. They refuse to even give it a quick glance from the ground.I would avoid these people at all costs.
Called and was told they had two vehicles matching my description. They didnt even have one. What a big waste of my day. Not a fan of the quality of parts they did have on the lot. Wont come back
Try forcing you to wear helpless mask.
Great prices and easy to deal with staff. Easy to find as well. For the parts for my truck there.
I always enjoyed there service if they dont have the part they will go the extra mile to help. So be nice to them they seem to be nice back.
This place is awesome saved about 200.00 today ....big selection ..carts and wheelbarrows to use ... Everything is set up in neat clean rows easy access to every vehicle even underneath ... highly recommend
Good place for parts. No problems and veterans discounts. Easy access.
Bring your tools. This is a shade tree mechanics playground. Great selection of vehicles, foreign and domestic. Most vehicles are 9 to 17 years old.
Great inventory, pricing and employees. My new favorite.
Great place had several of my car there! There is a cover charge of $2. OPEN 7 DAYS A WEEK, MOSTLY UNTIL 5PM DURING THE WINTER MONTHS. Also a 30-Day warranty on my electronic EGR Valve! I wish there was a direct number to the actual location but it sends you to someone in a different state with lots of background noise. Make sure you bring your tools so you can grab all the parts you would like! Enjoy!
Rude, rude, an just plain out rude.
Great part prices, friendly staff such as Jake John and Dennis
Great place to get parts and they have free water and a hand washing station.
Nice yard to to pull parts from and if your not sure of what you can pull from tell them what your looking for they will give you a list vehicles you can pull from But i do wish they would eliminate the 30 day core limit for some of us travel some distance and not worth the hassle to try to get it bsck.
Without going into too much detail; once you get to the yard and work with the people on the ground, they are great. No problems. Dealing with the national call center is terrible. They give wrong info, they hung up on me, they are unable to contact the yard directly for you. They say there is no way to call that location. Unreal.
When I think of LKQ I think wonderful customer service, water bottles ready for use all along the yard, employees smiling and giving you a warm welcome...well not at LKQ in Gainesville! 1st time there and very last! Employee at the window took a full 4 mins stairing at me though the window as he is laughing and having a good time on his personal cell phone...after waving at him to get his attention he opens the window while still on the phone and said YES? ...I was like wow! After paying my 3 dollars to get in I ask if he could point in the right direction to find a car...employee internet Down and closes the window while STILL on the cell phone....I get what I am looking for...ready to pay another employee on the other side found it more important to ask another employee to find him chrome rims for his personal car while I stand there like a dope waiting for service...employee was clearly high on something...it was like talking to a door knob! No personality and people skills...just a glazed over look in this face moving slower then a sloth! Couldnt even answer half of my questions...just looking at me like he was trying to compute what I am saying to him after paying ..I literally walked away while he just setting still like a statue....I felt like I was in the twilight zone! Like I entered into another dimension....1 star for having the cars properly aligned and easy to access....
Nice place. had everything i needed at a reasonable price
Sad place. Wish there was more junk yards in gaimesville
Good, clean yard. Cars easy to work on. They are open on weekends....dont trust Google info....call for yourself
Very friendly staff and great inventory! The website has an inventory and pictures. They even send out text messages when my vehicle is available.
Tryed to return a heater controller and was told it wasnt marked so I got the old one (did not know which one was the old one or the one I got from them) so I brought both to them so they can figure it out. Was told non have the mark. Its not my fault the employees didnt do there job. Terrible coustamer service basically if you might need to return something double check with the employee that its maked.
Clean and friendly with a pretty good selection.
Inventory search online showed the vehicle I was looking for. Found after a walk, got a motherload of parts for a fair price and a veterans discount to boot. Will return.
The cashier was great but other guys were rude af.
Dealt with them three times, all three times great service, and the prices are great.
Awsome. Plenty of inventory, great prices.found everything I was looking for.
Very helpful and the people were pleasant and easy to deal with
Excellent place extremely organized and clean.... Unlike b&s auto
I had a scheduled pick up for today, Sunday, based on the information provided by the 800 number rep. No one showed up. I called around 3pm ET to find out whats the delay. I was advise they had until 5pm. It is now after 6pm and no one showed up I called the number listed and 2 very rude and unprofessional reps out of California basically told me oh well that they dont handle FL calls and they dont have any info, but this is the number listed for the company as a whole. Horrible office staff.
Great prices helpful workers. Thanks
Able to find needed part at a reasonable price todayExcellent.
Prices gone up, getting a little out of hand for used parts that u search to find then pull yourself. On top of that there is a core charge for everything and anything you want to buy.
LKQ rocks, the walk up cardiac hill in the blazing sun is miserable. Inventory and web interface helps find useful options when available.
