I couldnt tell you how many State Farm Agents there are between my house and Lee Dempseys agency in Gainesville. Doesnt really matter. I wouldnt leave his agency for another insurance provider or agent. The consistent quality of the service that I receive from Vanessa and Joanna is worth whatever increase in insurance Id need to pay. I dont know how many clients Lees agency has, but when I call and tell them my name, they know who I am. They are always friendly, engaging, professional, expedient, and knowledgeable. I could not recommend Lee Dempseys agency more highly because of his secret weapons: Vanessa and Joanna.

A year of heartache! I paid a year of home owners insurance and a couple of years with car insurance. My car rates would change every other month with very little explanation, other than good student discount. I had to continuously prove my son’s grades. This should only be a once a year ordeal- 2 times the most. I Do not recommend!! They never return calls. I would continuously have to call them!! There’s too many other organized, professional companies to deal with, rather than the complete waste of time with this agent/ company!!

After months of headaches with this office, I would 100% not recommend using them for insurance. After not providing me with insurance cards for months, even though we were current on payment and everything, they dropped my car insurance because I had hail damage from three years ago. After clearing that up, they said I was covered, but when I went to renew my car tag I was unable to due to “no valid insurance”. I ended up having to pay a late fee on on the tag. And then after all that they increased our cost of car insurance, after 3 months.This is my only interaction with State Farm thus far, I have had several other car insurance companies and have never had problems until now. Wouldn’t recommend State Farm and certainly wouldn’t recommend Lee Dempsey’s office.

Short Version:Go to any other agent in the area. The poor management and unprofessional nature of this office is astounding. It seems the mismanagement is purposeful to increase the offices business numbers through fee gouging by changing policies without authorization or failing to change policy as directed by the customer.Detailed Version:I have been a customer with this office since March of 2016 when I transferred to the area.Unresponsive/Mismanaged:In May, my car was totaled and I suspended my policy. I registered my new car with them in mid June and brought to their attention a charge on my account for the car policy I had suspended. Since then, I have been on the phone with team members in the office and the corporate office at least once a week for almost two months now. Still, I have the same bill on my account for a policy that was suspended.Each time I call, the office assures me that they are working to get the problem resolved, but there is always someone else at State Farm they blame. At the end of July, the office gave me a revised bill that I was told covered all policy changes to my account from the time I suspended my first car policy to through the month of July. I was also told that when my next bill came for August, the charge for the suspended policy would be removed from my account. During this time, I have received numerous emails and notices regarding missed payments, as well as cancellation notices for failure to make such payments.Devious/Deceptive Business Practices:During this time, my renters insurance lapsed unexplainably. It is set to auto-renew and the only charge I have left unpaid is for the suspended car insurance policy. My only guess is that the office is padding its numbers through fees. No one in the office can explain why the renters policy failed to renew or why I was not given notice that it was about to lapse. The unauthorized lapse of this policy has caused a slight increase in my premiums but now there is a fee to reinstate the policy that I never authorized to end. This seems similar to the recent fee gouging system Wells Fargo has been caught doing.When I checked my account for my August bill, I found that not only had the suspended policy bill not been removed, but that my renters insurance policy had been cancelled.So, in the last two months, I have been jerked around on a regular basis, trying to get something resolved that initially started out as a simple mistake by an office worker (failing to suspend the policy on a total-loss vehicle when directed). Now, I have a two-month old charge STILL on my account, my premiums have gone up because a separate policy of mine was cancelled without authorization, and I have almost $100 extra of policy change charges, half of which were said to have already been resolved.This has been the most ridiculous and infuriating exchange over what most likely started as simple human error. The team members at this office have promised time and time again to get this issue resolved, and here I am, two months later, still fighting with them. When I mentioned changing agents, office employee Joanna became rude and confrontational.

They are always helpful and courteous. I have had my insurance with them for 4 years. Lee Dempsey is very knowledgeable and willing to go the extra mile to care for me as a customer.
For some reason I am unable on multiple occasions to get anyone on the phone during business hours during the week. Additionally, the hours listed here say Open until - 530pm however that is not the case as they are apparently closed at 5pm. I switched to State Farm for the local feel, and Lee your staff are not providing that. I suppose I will be looking elsewhere.
I went there to insure my vehicle and wasnt greeted by anyone. After waiting for about 10 minutes another employee arrived only to ignore me for about 5 more minutes, after she finally asked if I had been helped she proceeded to tell me to wait until she threw her trash away and for her to get settled. Such terrible service. I highly recommend the office on McEver Road, I was able to insure my car within minutes thanks to Megan and her wonderful customer service.
Meh. A bit slow at times when I filed my claim. Many of my calls and questions made it through. I guess it could have been worse. Rude is better than ignoring me completely.
If we could give less then one star- we would. We have been with SF for over 20 years and in one month this agent made us switch carriers. No phone calls back, no return emails, disrespectful and incredibly unreliable. We eventually asked for a transfer which they have 7 days to do....that was 32 days ago. Still waiting...
I brought to the attention of Dempseys office a questionable charge on my account. His office employees passed me around and I was given 3 different explanations for the same charge (either they are just lying, or theyre too incompetent to know what they are talking about). When I tried to contact Dempsey directly, his team delayed connecting me until he was out of the office. After multiple phone calls I still have various different reasons why I have some random charge on my account and all they can tell me is to pay it and be done with it...
