This is actually her husband speaking. I have been out of Planet Fitness for about 7 months due to spinal cord surgery. I finally am able to get back into working out consistently. One of the employees Lizzie came by to talk me while working out to check on me since it has been so long since my last visit. I explained what happened and she was extremely encouraging to my situation. She did not have to do that as she could have just noticed my absence and went about her day. Lizzie made a point in my opinion to display great customer service.

Each employee is always encouraging and welcoming. They never fail to assist you in whatever your needs are. I have never felt uncomfortable working out at this location.

My coworker and I are case managers at a group home and weve been pleased with the assistance the local staff has given us in setting up memberships for several of our guys, working with their lack of technology (a requirement of our setting), and making it a good experience for our guys to be able to come and use the facility.

No reason for a loner to be intimidated. It’s so comfortable and clean. Every thing is in like new condition. I can’t say enough. I love everything about it.

I decided to give this another try and go later on at night. Much better customer service from the gentleman tonight. He walked me over and helped me with the screen so I could tan. Super nice guy with really good customer service skills. I’ll definitely just go at night than earlier in the day.

Very rude, confrontational, and unprofessional. Spoke with the manager who seemed to think it was a joke. You get what you pay for, I guess. Just be aware of the fact that the staff are rude kids.

Always a nice place, as a nurse who works in Birmingham and lives up on the mountain it’s nice to have several options and locations and it’s the main reason I stick with them. You honestly can’t beat the price of a premium membership. I use to pay 15 for 200 minutes of tanning which typically lasted a month. Now I pay 20 for tanning, gym, and massage, and the tanning beds are super nice. They aren’t just your basic bed, they have options. Such as a hybrid with red light for skin issues and bronzer beds.

I love working out there because all of the staff are friendly and nice. The gym is always cleaned.

I go 5-6 days a week to planet fitness and enjoy my experience there so much that Ive been going for about 3-4 years. Not only is the gym affordable, but the staff is friendly, the equipment is high quality condition, and the environment is awesome. The gym is spacious, clean, and organized. It offers many different machines to target various muscle groups. While the gym can become busy, there is usually a machine available for everyone. The gym offers tanning, massage tables, and discount shop items to all black card members. Not to mention, if you have the upgraded membership, you can bring a friend for free! It comes in handy for if one wants to bring a friend or loved one to the gym. I have been to other gyms in the past but as far as cost/quality/benefits, planet fitness is everything all in one building! I recommend the gym to anyone. It doesnt matter your age, race or ethnicity, planet fitness is a no judgment zone!

Cleanest gym Ive ever worked out in. Ive been a member for like five years now and Ive never had a single complaint. Staff is always changing but theyre always courteous and professional. And I really cant stress enough how the joint is always top notch clean. Always. Its fantastic. Love this place!

One of my most favorite times of the day is spent at Planet Fitness. The staff are always super, the gym always clean, the equipment selection great, and maintained expeditiously. I can’t say enough good things about my Planet Fitness gym. They’ve set the bar for everyone else. If you aren’t already a member it’s high time you got yourself in there!

I enjoy going to Planet Fitness because of cleanliness of the facility. I am able to get to the equipment for my workout. The staff is courteous on arrival and leaving. I enjoy the friendships I have develop during my workout time. The hours are great.

I love the place

Ive been a member of this gym for the past 3 years and the staff are still so helpful and friendly and the atmosphere is so wonderful and I love that theres no judgment and I dont have to feel embarrassed about my size in this place. Ive had a wonderful experience here. Im transferred now to the albertville planet fitness. Overall I have enjoyed 3 planet fitness gyms since March 2017.

Get rid of the lunk alarm

I joined Planet Fitness Gadsden and they ask that new members sign up for new member orientation. I signed up along with two others. We all came to orientation but the trainer did not come. I was told that I could sign up for the following evening and that he might be there. They have phone numbers, emails and text availability so you would think at a minimum they could let the member know orientation is cancelled. Very unprofessional. Personal trainer as advertised 🤷‍♀️

Im there almost every day!!! Only thing I really do to keep this 78 year old body going,and Ill continue till I drop!!!!! LOVE the club,and the staff is the very BEST!!!!!!!!!!

I was so nervous as this was my first real gym membership. But it really is a no judgement zone!!! The atmosphere is so friendly and peaceful ! The staff are very helpful and friendly, whatever you need they stop what they are doing and help you with a smile . I’m soooo glad I joined this gym!

Great staff and great gym environment. Wish they would have trainers theyre all day Monday through Friday. They need morning, afternoon and night trainers. To be honest with you I need to lose about 200 plus pounds if I had trainers there all the time to help me I could have lose weight faster. And also my doctor said if I did have the help and given the right tools The pounds would just melt off so that’s why Im asking to please get more trainers there all day long different ones of course you dont want to overwork them. And they also need a weighing scale to weigh all body types no matter how much they weigh.

Very convenient! The employees and members both make you feel comfortable and accepted. I was never able to lift weights until now due to Heart Surgery, so I had some catching up to do. The hours of the gym are perfect form my weekly and weekend schedule. Even at the busiest time of the day you can find your spot to get some work done! I love the flow and feel of this place! I will be here for a while.

Really hate that the best time for me to go... its closed. More cardio than actual weights but if your creative you can get fit.

Honestly I have enjoyed working out at planet fitness as my spouse and I have worked out here since 2014 however as soon as I sign another membership I will be canceling both our memberships. I understand as I’m the GM of a restaurant here in Gadsden, that businesses open to the public have hours of operation and that in my 15 years of serving the public means that no one is allowed to come in after that time. However I have never been thrown out because a place was closing yes thrown out I literally use exercise as a relief to my very stressful job but for my cell phone that gets its time from a tower and satellite and the huge purple clock that’s on the wall to both say 6:58 and me only have 3 mins left in my hour workout to be told no it’s 7 pm were closed that’s not how business is done

I love the cleanliness, friendly staff and variety of different equipment available.

If they had childcare and were truly open 24 hours they would be the best gym around. But as is just 3.5 stars.

Love this club! My home club is in Nashua, NH but I travel a lot so I visit Planet Fitness clubs all over. The staff at the Gadsden club are some of the nicest people Ive met and very helpful, and the club itself was great with plenty of equipment and a clean, organized and friendly atmosphere. I had to drive 30 minutes to get to the club, but it was worth it. Ill definitely go back every time Im in the area.

Usually, this gym is the best. More so at night. However, in the mornings, especially weekend mornings, employees play their own music over the speakers instead of the usic that corresponds with the planet fitness channel TVs, when I pointed that out, they turned off the TVs... One employee was doing someones hair braiding with chemical sprays and the lot. Unacceptable. They are going to turn this gym into one of the other trashy workout spots in Gadsden. There needs to be a serious employee review. Also, bring back the scales.

For the past 3-4 years my health has been getting worse each day, I have had 4 major surgeries since January of this year and had just about given up...throwing in the towel. But from the moment me and my mother walked in the door we were instantly treated as a part of the family. I love it because the staff is amazing the entire building is always clean and there is a lot of respect there, no judgments. My son is now a member along with a good friend of mine. Most of the staff is friendly but there is one employee that is a blonde headed girl that is absolutely disrespectful. When signing up she pressured me to sign up for a black card when I only wanted a white card. After coming for a few weeks all the employees would greet me except for her. She is always rude to me and I think it’s because I did not sign up for a black card. I have heard many other members complain about her being rude as well. If she dislikes people so much I honestly believe she shouldn’t be working there.

I think Body Maxx Fitness and Absolute Fitness is better. Visited Planet Fitness with a friend and the manager acted like he didnt have time to tell me more about the plans, and get this it was only one other person at the desk. Not a good thing to brush off a potential customer.

Not for anyone serious about getting fit. I cant hear myself put weights down and they blow that stupid horn and ask you to leave. BEWARE, this is a poorly managed club. It will NOT be around long. Myself and 5 others have cancelled. Several places more professional close by. Save your money, this place is not worth it.

I’ve been to this gym a couple of times, none of the staff seem happy to be there. I was there on a Wednesday afternoon this last time and it was overall a terrible experience. Other planet fitnesses I’ve been to have been so upbeat and happy. I tried to sign up for a massage bed and a man who I believe to be the manager acted like I was bothering him when I asked for help on how to use the kiosk thing. I tried after my workout to tan and had a question about a waiver thing and the girl with blonde hair named either Caitlyn or Courtney had such a rude tone with me and talked to me like I was stupid. No member of a gym should ever feel the way I felt when leaving this planet fitness. No other planet fitness I have ever been to was like this one.

Great gym and friendly staff.One complaint is that the upgraded arc trainers have a terrible interface in comparison to the previous machines. The upgrade acts more like a downgrade in that the you can’t stop for one second to take a rest without the machine resetting, you must push stop to pause. This is a strange convenience to lose when upgrading a machine also there appears to be only three presets, which offers no variety (I could be wrong on this point). My biggest bone to pick is the fact that the countdown timer is constantly on and is the full size of the screen. I’m not sure about most people but I do not like watching a clock while I am performing a task, the obvious comparison is watching a pot of water come to a boil.I am not delusional enough to think they will one day fix these problems because of my review, but I certainly hope they will.Once again, this a great gym and there are always plenty of cardio machines to use, but I hope they will put more thought into the machine interface design.
