Does Hypnosis Really Work?? After my experience with Mike at imagine hypnotics I waited for a few weeks to share my experience. I wanted to see if I actually felt a difference. Ive studied the science behind hypnosis for a while and it all made sense to me in theory, but I wanted to see if it actually worked. I went to see if I could gain more self confidence in work because I felt I was holding myself back. The results amazed me. The best way I can describe it is... you know that feeling you get where you know you should be doing something... making that call... talking to that girl... not eating that food you know you want... etc. The resistance I felt to doing the tasks I know I needed to accomplish is gone. Its allowing me to be able to accomplish more of what I want easier and waste a lot less of my time. Mikes the real deal. If youre on the fence... give it a shot. What do you have to lose?

Ive been seeing Mike for awhile now, for a variety of issues. His work has made a huge difference in my life. I am now much more relaxed, and I dont have nasty habit issues (well other than the occasional ice cream bar).Mike takes you through the whole process - there is nothing to fear, and you should think about stage hypnotists and them making you cluck like a chicken. It is NOT like that, you are in control, and nothing bad is going to happen. Mike is an extremely competent and committed hypnotherapist with a big heart. I trusted him from the very beginning. I have been working with him for four years, first to achieve, and then maintain my best weight of 125 lbs. I had studied hypnotherapy in graduate school and wanted to try it, knowing that success would not depend on my willpower, which I have very little of when it comes to food. Instead of willpower, a function of the rational mind, hypnosis works on the subconscious mind which is where motivation truly resides. All I had to bring to the process was a desire to change. I had sworn off diets years ago, but with Mikes help, I identified a few personal rules I would need to lose weight and stay thin, and kept them well enough over four years so that my weight has remained stable within a four-pound range. Importantly, this has been a process, not a once-and-for-all procedure. Mike changes the narrative and modifies his approach depending on what I need at a given time, and has concurrently worked with me on other issues e.g. stress and procrastination. Although I no longer need sessions with Mike as often, I return every two or three months for a tune-up and will continue to do so indefinitely.
