Doctor Susan McCarty is AMAZING. She is so wonderful. My cat had a freak accident over the Memorial Day weekend, and Doctor McCarty worked with us, allowing us to come to her clinic right away. She was welcoming and so kind—She helped my cat stay calm.Doctor McCarty is the BEST vet I have ever dealt with. She is professional and so smart. She explained the situation to us and helped us to understand what was happening to our cat.I will definitely be returning to Doctor McCarty for my other cats vet appointments!

I have seen both Dr McCarthy and Dr Stannard with feline and canine patients. Being new to the area with elderly animals it was important to me to find a clinic with experienced and empathetic doctors. In my short time as a new client, I have taken my furry family members for maintenance, surgical, emergency intervention and end of life visits. Ive found Millersburg Vet Hospital to be both professional and compassionate, and wouldnt hesitate to recommend them.

Terribly unprofessional place, they routinely talk bad about customers behind their backs and work to rip people off. Vets are extremely rude and treat workers poorly unless they feel they are worthy of being favorites. I would not ever trust them with any of my pets.

Layla had her day at the Spa yesterday. She had a bath, was groomed had a pedicure, and a doctor checkup. She is looking good and ready for the winter..

Now that the girls see Dr. McCarty and her team we wont ever take them anywhere else. The kindness and compassion they have shown to our fur babies and us cannot be compared to any other. They have taken EXCELLENT care of all three of our girls.

Dr. Susan is the best Vet weve had the privilege of going too. Shes gone out of her way to take care of our sweet pup. Shes even called me on her day off to deliver test results. Normally I am not an angry person, but I feel that everyone needs to be aware of how this “Animal Hospital” is ran and our experience with our puppy there.Our 9 week old puppy was clearly not feeling well. We took her to Millersburg Vet Hospital around 4pm one afternoon. We had to pay $150.00 deposit. They kept her and called us around 9pm that night saying that they had tested her for parvo and it was negative. They were going to give her two rounds of antibiotics and then call me the following morning WITH THE UNDERSTANDING THAT THEY WERE NOT TO ADMINISTER ANY OTHER TESTS OR MEDICATION BEFORE GETTING PERMISSION FROM MY HUSBAND OR I THE NEXT MORNING. Dr. Moore even REPEATED that she understood not to do anything else without our permission because of the financial situation. We were also told during that 9pm phone call from Dr. Moore that the approximate bill for everything was only going to total $73 and the remainder of my $150 deposit would be sent back to me.After hearing some horror stories about Dr. Moore (after we took our puppy there hours before), we decided to go get our puppy the first thing the next morning and get her to another veterinary clinic. My father went and got our puppy the following morning (at this point our puppy had only been in the Millersburg vet for 16 hours) and took her to another vet for me in another town. That was one of the best decisions that we have ever made or else our little Lacey wouldn’t be here. Long story short, here is a list of our experiences from Millersburg Animal Hospital:1. Paid a $150 deposit and was told that the bill would only total $73 and the remainder of the money would be sent back to us. After not receiving the remainder of the money back to us after 2 weeks, I called Millersburg Vet and was told that they had used ALL of the $150.00 plus $30 more.2. Dr. Moore informed my husband on the phone that IF she had parvo and we couldn’t pay for the treatments, that she would take all our rights as our dog’s owner and she would keep our dog.3. Dr. Moore put an IV in my puppy’s leg WITHOUT OUR PERMISSION AFTER SHE TOLD US THAT SHE WOULD DO NOTHING ELSE WITHOUT OUR PERMISSION FIRST.4. After taking our puppy out of Millersburg vet and getting her to another vet, the new vet told us that you are NEVER to put an IV in a dog’s leg because dogs, especially puppies, will chew the IV out.5. Upon examining Lacey, the new vet found that the IV that Dr. Moore placed in her leg was NOT EVEN IN HER LEG!!!! It was TAPED to her fur on her leg!!!! Dr. Moore had sent the IV and bag of fluids with Lacey to the new vet and had taped the IV to the outside of her fur so much that the new vet had to CUT the tape off of her leg to take the IV off. Dr. Moore said that the IV cath must have come out of her leg during transport, but with that much tape, that is VERY unlikely.6. Dr. Moore told us that they had completed the parvo test and it was negative on a Lacey. However, the next morning when my father picked Lacey up from Dr. Moore, he was told that she had NEVER even ran the parvo test. Once we got Lacey to the new vet, we immediately found out that she DID, in fact, have parvo.7. Lacey was in the Millersburg Vet for a total of 16 hours and I had to pay $180.00. She stayed in the Flemingsburg Animal Hospital for a total of 3 nights and 4 days, and my total bill was only $200.00. Dr. Moore and the Millersburg Animal Hospital is EXTREMELY overpriced.**Thanks to our new vet and a 3 night stay in the new hospital, Lacey is doing very well. There is not a doubt In my mind that if we had left Lacey with Dr. Moore, she wouldn’t be here right now (considering she was getting NO IV fluids with the IV catheter being TAPED TO HER FUR BY Dr. Moore).My hope is that I can help prevent anything like this from happening to someone else’s fur baby and another innocent family that puts their trust in Dr. Moore and the Millersburg Animal Hospital.

Dr. McCarty wasnt my normal vet when I had an emergency with my cat ( Toby ) but, she was the only vet I could find that could take him in right away, ( yes my vet for years couldnt take him even tho it was an emergency ) She has been wonderful with Toby and I both, I have received phone calls every couple of days from her or one of her staff checking up on Toby. I even received a hand written sympathy card from her when I had to have my mommas dog put down, during this time with Toby. She may not of been my regular fur friends Dr. Then, but she DIFFENTLY is now. Its alittle farther drive for me but well worth it in the care she and her staff gives. And her prices are so reasonable. Plus she takes care credit, which helps alot. Thank you Dr. McCarty and staff.
