Our family loves Ricks Kicks. I cant say enough about Mr. Rick, the owner. He is kind, caring, and invested in all of his students. He has a jovial personality and always puts a smile on your face. Mr. Rick is very knowledgable in the art that he teaches and finds creative ways to reach students at all belt levels. Both he and the other teachers have been positive mentors and role models to my children. My son just received his black belt, and I have a daughter that is a blue belt. They love participating in martial arts and continually learning. I would recommend Ricks Kicks to anyone.

My son has been going to Ricks for 2 years now. I will not go anywhere else. Rick is very hands on, he is in class almost every day. He isn’t one to sit in an office and let someone else teach for him. He is the best in his field. This is the real deal!

We love Rick’s Kicks! I have a very energetic 5 year old who likes to test boundaries on the regular. They teach him self discipline and the instructors are all kind and firm. The owner, Rick Goss, is incredible. A very nice man, seems genuinely invested in each family and takes time to teach/oversee almost every single class. Every time we leave, we’re sent home with very cool inspirational stories and ideas on our take home sheet. I love the family atmosphere! There is also just a huge focus on character building which was really important to us. We had our son’s birthday there and it was equally amazing. They put on a great program for the kiddos and everyone left sweaty. 😊 Please check them out, you won’t be disappointed!

We love Ricks Kicks and Rick himself! My 8 year old has been attending a little over a year. Previously we couldnt get him to do any extracurricular activities. They made him feel welcome and special and that warms my heart! Rick is a great instructor and all around good guy. The office is easy to deal with and the girl Ive encountered is very friendly and helpful. They have Pizza & Nerf Gun nights for Parents Night Out occasionally and my son has a great time. Its the first even hes ever attended alone, especially without one of us. Its affordable and well worth the tuition costs. Id highly recommend them to anyone!

We have had a kid at Ricks Kicks for 5 years progressing towards black belt. Great program. But to me probably more important is the values that Rick instills in the kids in teaching them to become young men and women. Rick and team reinforce respect to parents, obligations in how to treat others, responsibility, surrounding yourself with good people in addition to teaching self defense skills.

Our son began at Ricks Kicks about a year ago. When he joined up we explained that as a micro-preemie, now 8-year-old, this kid has dodged every bullet, but has severe anxiety. Other sports dont work and he has bouts of panic attacks. Under Master Rick and his staffs guidance, patience, and persistence, our son has now achieved an orange belt. It wasnt easy at first, but they never stopped working with him. When he tested for his yellow belt it was really rough for him so Master Rick did a private testing after we had exhausted the effort. More work, more persistence he worked towards orange and just tested with the class like it was never an issue. He has more and more confidence in himself time goes on and is learning principles that can be applied to life. This is a great place to start and I see tons of folks that have clearly been there for years working towards their black belt and developing as people. Master Rick is clear that he teaches a hybrid of multiple forms as they can be used in self-defense and real situations should they occur. This is a great staff with a great work ethic and we cant say enough about Ricks Kicks

My three boys have been attending for years and I love the practical life lessons that are shared and the reminder to honor country, parents, themselves, and to respect others. The skills they are developing are applicable to everyday life situations.

My Twice-Exceptional son (both Gifted/Talented & living with Aspergers Syndrome) has been taking private lessons with Mr. Rick for around 2 years. Rick is super patient with my son and finds creative ways to encourage and motivate him to work hard and achieve all that he is able. My son has a tendency to try to talk his way around completing difficult physical tasks, but Rick has found fantastic, effective strategies to limit my sons negotiations, push my son to perform at his best all while making him feel respected, important and valued as a student. My son & I are both grateful for the time, energy & care Rick pours into our family on a weekly basis; this kind of dedication cannot be found at many studios. I highly recommend Ricks Kicks!

May I give this place 6 stars? My 4 year old son started last year. At that time, he was a timid, emotionally labile, easily distractible kid. His sister (2 years old) would even bully him. I went to Ricks Kicks based on a friends recommendation and have never looked back. My son is now a confident, focused and happy kid. Certainly, our experience here has played a MAJOR role in this transformation. I couldnt be happier, and we intend to keep our son in this school for as long as we can. Thank you, Rick and staff - you have positively shifted the trajectory for my son, and I couldnt be more grateful.

Im a black belt here (You can trust me, I have been here a long time). The staff is amazing and pateient enough for any age demographic. Some times I wonder if I learn more about life and the value of hard work or Martial arts. And thats what great about it. Rick and the other staff members set an example for the students and teach them well. Im also in eight grade and have had a lot of poor teachers in school and I know what makes a teacher good . All the staff here pass with flying colors. I cannot say enogh about how good this place is. I with out a doubt recommend Ricks Kicks.

Mr. Rick teaches kids respect, self discipline, to be positive, and to use common sense before self defense, and to never be abusive or offensive. Mr. Rick treats the kids with respect he has fun with them but he also requires them to follow the rules. This should be a requirement in school kids would have more self confidence and fewer discipline problems. You can see all the kids take this very serious as soon as they walk into the gym. Our 4 year old loves going there, he talks about it all week long. He shows us what he learned and repeats the quotes that he learned such as “ I will use common sense before self-defense, and never be abusive or offensive.I read the only negative review on Ricks Kicks. I think the situation is unfortunate. I can say we have never seen Rick act or communicate in a negative way towards to kids or anyone. He has always held himself in a professional manner. If there was ever anything less than a 100% professional and respectful environment our 4 year old would not be a student here.
