The virtual classroom is working wonderful for my daughter. Shes doing reading comprehension. My daughter loves it and also loves the teacher. Ive used Sylvan for two other children and theyve caught up pretty good. I see a big improvement. Sylvan is a wonderful program.

Very professional, caring and kind staff. My grand daughter looks forward to her tutoring sessions and gets disappointed if she misses a session. She is improving on her reading skills with each session. All staff members are friendly and caring. Thanks for helping her improve on her learning. Great place!!

Sylvan Learning definitely helped my son. He was struggling in geometry. Hes doing really good now. Even in his final, he had a 41 in that class, and hes brought it up all the way to an 80. If he needs to go back, I will be sending him back. They did an awesome job. Ive already told my sister about them. Her son has been struggling. To anybody who struggles, I would recommend it 100%.

Very unprofessional and greedy organization. They delayed our assessment multiple times and my poor kid were treated with the most unprofessional and indecent manner. Do not go there. Do not sign a contract with them. They are a bunch of shady people. They do not provide any services that they claim to offer. They have their employees put all the five star reviews. Do not fall for them.

Sylvan has been very helpful for my son in his 4th grade reading. Will recommend for any educational needs.

We were satisfied with the summer sessions our daughter was receiving. However, we felt the content was too easy at times. We had to pull her due to a family emergency at the beginning of August, which we paid the month in full and communicated our emergency. We requested a refund and explained our situation. The Center Manager tried to process our refund but the Director Evita M. denied it. Said said we had agreed to the 3 contract. We never signed any 3 month contract. Evita never responded to any emails we called and left messages. The only time she picked up the phone, she was quick to get off the phone and said she had to look into the details and would call us back, but NEVER did of course. Poor unprofessional communication & business conduct. We will be using a competitor next summer.Reading the other reviews, a common theme, beware of providing your credit card. They will charge you regardless if your child is attending!

They promise you so many things at the beginning but once you make the payment, you are done!! Beware of them. One tutor has 4 students at a time and all of them at different age and grade level.Do not fall for their sweet words at the time of enrollment.. Its a trap.. Just run away with your kids. Sylvan is not at all worth the money you pay for

Absolute disappointment. Very unprofessional and greedy people. Once they have you sign the commitment form, they take you for granted, provide you with substandard services and still try to charge you. Do not give your card information. There are far better places for our kids.They purposely delayed assessment of my child and tried to charge me 2 weeks before I was done with all the sessions I had paid for.Kids of different age group and grade levels are given the tutoring in one groupI was promised to have a tutor who specialized in children with special needs and came to realize my child was tutored by someone who was covering from a different facility and didn’t even know what my child needed.They attempted to charge my card without my permission.Half of the five star reviews are from their own employees !! What a shameFraudulent business

Dont agree to any deals Sylvan says verbally,even after having their email saying that my card will not be charged monthly,my account was overcharged, they charged twice in December for me,while my kids were in vacation.$448 was over charged and no replies for emails..raised dispute and waiting...No option to select zero star..Hope this cannot be deleted by Sylvan now:) Ms.Jessica Williams, I am still waiting to hear from you and your account department while you give 5 stars to your institution here if I am not wrong thats you!! Excellent experience!!! My 7 yr old son woke up every morning, before me, stoked and fully dressed for STEM camp! He is creative and competitive but not an athlete. STEM is his “thing” and he found it at Sylvan.

My daughter has tried several tutoring centers, however, Sylvan Learning -Frisco is by far her favorite. Quite frankly, she does not want to go anywhere else but Sylvan - Frisco. The teachers are friendly and knowledgeable. My daughter feels the lessons have given her more confidence with her academics. She has been attending Sylvan for about a year and her grades have improved dramatically. Sylvan - Frisco is worth the money. I dont regret it. Mindy and Jessica truly care about the students success and thats why I believe this location does amazingly well with my child. They take the time to communicate with my childs teachers on a regular basis. I also have regularly scheduled conference meetings with the Sylvan directors to ensure my daughter Gracie is progressing in her academics. If necessary, we make changes to her curriculum to ensure her sessions are time well spent. Moreover, they are teaching me how to advocate for my daughter at school.

Sylvan Frisco is an amazing place. My two children are continuing their class at Sylvan. They really enjoy their classes. Teachers are very helpful and knowledgeable. The course is so planned that you will see improvement in your kids. I recommend anyone to Sylvan if they’re struggling to decide on their choice . It is a new learning experience and fun place to learn and sylvan even contact school teacher to understand kids performance which help building the course for individual.

The Sylvan Learning Center of Frisco is an awesome place for my child to get more help to improve his reading skills and SAT preparation. The content of material is suitable for my childs needs. The tutors are knowledgeable and the management is very responsible. Ms. Mindy and Ms. Emily are very kind and helpful to us. We have regular conferences with them to analyze my childs progress. I would strongly recommend anyone to try this program out and I would promise you that you would not be disappointed.

I have 2 kids at Sylvan Frisco location. I take them twice a week after a long day of school and not ONCE have they complained about going and one of my kids is a12 year old middle school boy! They really like the teachers and the interaction with them is helping at school. My daughter is so confident now at school and loves math. I highly recommend Sylvan.

The director Mindy and her staff are amazing. My daughter took the English 101 over the summer to prepare her for dual credit English with Collin College. Her Professor was very impressed with her writing skills (she is a Junior) and even said that she was of a higher level than a lot of the Seniors in the class! Highly recommend Mr Chase if your child is struggling with math - he is a genius in his explanations!

My kids do Math Edge and LOVE it. It is never a fight to get them to go to Sylvan, but a positive experience where they are excited to go. They get back into the car bursting with energy and ready to tell us what they did during Math Edge. It has truly made learning Math fun for them, which was our goal. The staff is kind, respectful and communicates well with the parents. I highly recommend Math Edge at Sylvan.

Sylvan is a great way to help/improve in your education. The atmosphere in the center is great and you feel welcomed to come as well. I have been going there for couple years now and I can defiantly tell that I have improved. I am taking the ACT Prep program and its great, they provide you with the materials and will always be willing to answer your questions and help you improve. I wouldnt choose any other way to help/improve my education.

The Frisco Sylvan staff is truly amazing. They go above and beyond for their students to ensure that there needs are being met. The director Mindy and the staff are amazing to work with. My daughter has been going since May and enjoys all her teachers especially Ms. Michelle. I was told by several teachers to hold her back due to her not being first grade reading level ready and in a span of 3 months they were able to bring her from a level 4 to a level 6 (first grade reading level). I couldnt be more pleased with the results and would recommend them to any family who has a struggling student.

The staff are all super hard-working and devoted to each childs success. The SAT prep is more than capable of preparing anyone for the test. Its simple and accurately reflects the actual test content. Honestly, I wouldnt prepare for the SAT any other way.

She has grown TREMENDOUSLY from the short time she has been with sylvan! Results have been shining bright all over the place in school and at home! Sylvan Frisco sees your more than the average student, making sure help is available 24/7 and meets every need of students. Even the directors make it feel like your home away from home creating the perfect environment for each student. Parents are worry free of the progress demonstrated through-out the program. What makes my learning experience here different from anywhere else is teachers will stay behind to make sure you go above and beyond on strenuous work.

We have been very happy with Sylvan! Friendly, knowledgeable staff that is wonderful with our child. She has made progress at school and enjoys going. The only downside is the cost. While I understand that quality education is at a premium, it is a lot.

We chose Sylvan Frisco for my soon-to-be senior who is prepping for the SAT. He is the quiet type and I was worried that he wouldnt enjoy it, but he walked out of the first session with a smile saying he really liked his teacher. After his second session he called it fun! We cant say enough positive things about the Sylvan in Frisco. My 8 year old loved going there. At first I was afraid he wouldnt enjoy it, but the staff and teachers are amazing, and he would come out with a smile and look forward to his next session. We saw a tremendous improvement in his quality of work, drive, and his confidence. I really wish we could have stayed with them longer, unfortunately we had to move out of state with no Sylvan near us, but hopefully soon there will be one as I believe all kids can benefit from them. The directors are so great, Ms. Mindy and Ms. Ashley, they are constantly communicating with us on progress and updates, and even communicate with his school teachers which makes it a seamless learning experience between school and Sylvan. The teachers are also great, they are actual teachers with certifications which is one of the main reason we went to Sylvan vs their competitors, its all about the quality. We recommend them to anyone in the Frisco/Plano area and wish them nothing but success.

Consumer BEWARE! They will sell you Packages that will show in your credit report as debt and they have a shark loan staff calling your house at 10 PM for collecting the balance you never used. Their practice sounds VERY FISHY . Watch out!

I started sylvan about 3-4 months ago and since then my grades have improved. I have a great time working there. The environment is great and all the teachers are very nice and very helpful. Sylvan is over all a great place to do work and help improve any school subjects you have trouble in.

I will be honest i was a little hesitant about choosing sylvan i wasnt sure about the dentition mostly because as a Freshman in high school i have very little time to waist. Thankfully sylvan came through before joining i had a horrible GPA. now i successfully reached a 4.0. Sylvan offers so many more programs than I would have ever thought. My high school student took a practice ACT test at sylvan and then took a review course based on his needs from the test. His next practice test went up 4 pts. My 8th grader is taking a study skills and organizational class at sylvan. For the first time in his life, he has straight As and asks to keep going to sylvan.

Sylvan has been a great experience for our student. She has gain her confidence back and improved in struggle areas. And the teachers/tutors are great!

I visited the facility to complete a pre-joining formality with Apple and the representative messed up the upload process which required me to re-activate the whole form. I understand mistakes happen everywhere and the representative was polite and offered to work through without appointments once the link is reactivated so I let that slide.I got the link reactivated and came back to have the scanned documents sent to me as this time the link to complete the form was sent as a personalized one for me. I asked for the scanned documents to be sent to me but the representative refused saying they can’t do that legally!I don’t know your policies. I came here for a simple scan upload. You had a tie with my employer just to do that. I have had to drive 20 mins in rain twice to make up for your mistakes! The least you can do is be courteous. I donno what kind of teaching can be imbibed without sense of accountability and courteousness! Good luck!

My son went to Sylvan Denton and Frisco location (mainly Frisco)off and on from 2nd grade to the end of 3rd. He was still at the same level with school. That’s when I found out that he was Dyslexic. It’s upsetting because my son needed other help and spending thousands of dollars when my son had a bigger problems is upsetting. If anyone anyone looking for help for they kid make sure they dont have Dyslexia or any other learning Disability. He did have growth in math. He only did math at Denton location. I’m positive that the tutors are great there and I’m not saying that they won’t help. I’m saying make sure you are sure it’s just tutoring that your kid needs. THIS IS NOT TO HURT SYLVAN BUSINESS BUT TO MAKE PARENTS AWARE THAT DYSLEXIA and learning Disability DOES EXIST in kids with high IQ. Your kid need tutoring but most important they need the right kind. I would say this I spoke to both locations about my concern asking for partial refund back. Frisco basically told be they wasn’t doctors and no way a partial refund will be applied. Holly from Denton location was very understanding and I would recommend Denton location anytime as long as you get your kids tested first making sure that’s the correct help they need. As for Frisco not so much. My name is Keaira Jones and I care about my son education, and parents that work extremely hard to get help for your kids. Money don’t grow on trees so get your kids the right help. Don’t just search Sylvan reviews, search Sylvan negative reviews.

My family moved from Denton to Frisco in the middle of my 3rd graders summer tutoring. Friscos Sylvan Learning Center did not measure up to the center in Denton in any way. It felt like a hostage exchange as children were collected and released one by one through a locked door parents could not go through. More importantly, my sons scores did not increase at all during his stay there. They gave me 14 additional hours for this, however, for $50/hour I was truly disappointed. I will be using my money more wisely in the future and paying an at home tutor who gives their full attention to my son.

The staffs are great. The teachers are licensed and very knowledgeable. My daughter Jenny was falling behind in Frisco ISD, but because of Sylvan Learning Center in Frisco turtoring after school and during the summer, she is now ahead of her classmates. Her grades are As and Bs in all her classes.Also my son Justin had helped from Sylvan Learning Centers as well prepared him for ACT test, his ACT grades are the same level as High School students even though he is just in a 7 grade with Frisco ISD. He is taking all AP classes in Middle School. Justin is also a National Junior Honor Society and a member of DUKE TIP, Duke UniVersity Talented Identification Program where he is now taking University classes during the summers to better himself. Thank you to for the help from Sylvan Learning Center in Frisco. I recommend this place to everyone.

You’ll notice immediate improvement in your child joining any of their programs. They also help with daily homework on top of other test preparation.

Sylvan is an excellent additional teaching center and really helps to clarify and provide additional knowledge on tricky subjects like math and science. ;)

My sons reading ability increased by over 2 grade levels in 8 months (confirmed by his ISD reading specialist with an IRI - Individual Reading Inventory) by spending 4 hours a week at Sylvan. Sylvan was able to identify basic skills that he had not learned in school. These were integral skills that once mastered, accelerated his ability to excel at reading. Once he was able to read at grade level, his math scores soared from average to Advanced Academic Performance on the STAAR. Sylvan identified my sons specific deficiencies and eliminated them.

Ive used sylvan several times, this location in particular is exceptional. They take the time to explain the process and keep you updated on progress, follow up with teachers, and are very friendly.
