My car has not had a warranty for a very long time now. I love the brand as they are upfront and honest about the services needed and the cost. If anything can be done on the next visit, they dont hesitate to let you know. Best place to go hands down.
My daughter had a blow out on the toll road resulting in some pretty extensive damage. I however was in Missouri at the time. This left my daughter in a precarious situation. I contacted Drivers Edge and the assistant GM Damon assured me as a father he understood my concern and fear and would take care of my daughter. He was true to his word and in quick time my daughter’s car was fixed and road safe. I initially chose Driver’s Edge because of its location to my daughters accident, in the future I will choose Driver’s Edge because they were honest, caring and affordable.
Drivers Edge came to my rescue when my car wouldnt start at a nearby grocery store. Jumping the battery didnt work, so they pushed it to their garage, diagnosed the starter and fixed it quickly. Very friendly service!
Horrific service! If I could give zero stars I would! They said I would have to bring my truck up there to tell me how much my oil change would cost. They didn’t know how many quarts of oil it took. They said they needed the VIN to do so. I said I have the VIN and can give it to them.NOPE! I still had to bring it in.Next place I called gave me a price immediately and knew how many quarts it took.
Went in for a routine inspection. Was told it would take 1.5 hours. I had to call after 2 hours. Was told I need new tires or I wouldn’t pass. I finally agreed and then they had my car for another 6 hours. Was not impressed by the professionalism or manner in which their business was conducted.
Ask them to rotate my tires, they didnt. I brought it back in and the insisted it had been done. I asked them to rotate it anyway and instantly heard and saw a difference. Now Im about to take it back in for brake pads that they changed that are making a horrible grinding noise less than two weeks after they were installed.Overall, I paid $1,000 for maintenance on my car and Im having to take it back repeatedly just to ensure the job I paid for gets done right at. I wont be back.
I came in because the low tire pressure light was on in my car-I was in town visiting my mom at the rehabilitation hospital where she is recovering from a stroke. It was after closing and Manuel put air in my tire to get me to my parents home and told me to come back in the morning. I went back the next morning and the manager Pedro got me taken care of. My tire was patched balanced and I was on my way back to Oklahoma. Very professional courteous and caring!
We used them for a Pre purchase inspection. Pedro the manager took excellent care of us and gave us a very thorough inspection before we bought a used truck. It brought such great peace of mind! Thank you Pedro!
Quick and courteous. Always use Drivers Edge.
Since moving to the area I have always taken my vehicle to Integrity 1st for oil changes, state inspections etc. The service is quick and very professional. They have great customer service, and the interior is so comfortable to wait in! I always recommend this place to my family and friends.
Changed the oil and did inspections. No issues. Could’ve reset the oil life on my car, and asked what kind of oil (syn/conventional) I wanted in the car. Either way, service looks good.
I’ve been using this company for a year and they always go above and beyond! Pedro assisted me this morning and was so professional and kind. Service is very thorough and I have never had any issues. I recommend this place to everyone!
Pedro & Staff are always so professional & knowledgeable! Best services always.
Manager Pedro and the team was awesome to work with. Down the earth, pricing is very fair and reasonable, and was able to get what I needed to get done the same day! Thank you very much and will be back again!
We have taken two of our vehicles to Drivers Edge. When we go for basic things like inspections, the up sell is tiresome and overwhelming. Then recently we took our truck to them for an issue with the auto shut off for filling the gas tank. They recommended two possible repairs. The first was less labor intensive and the more affordable of the two at just over $800. The second would require more intensive disassembly of the vehicle to access and diagnose. We opted for the more affordable repair at over $800. It did not resolve the problem. And disassembly sounded a bit extreme for the issue, so we took it to Toyota service. Ends up the repair is actually quite simple and will only cost just over $200. Toyota service said the other repair was unnecessary. So we are out a little over $1000 for a $200-220 repair. That is absurd.UPDATE: We finally found someone to figure out the cause of our issue. It was a piece of plastic in the filler hose. We have no idea what the plastic is or how it got there. So we should not have had to pay for the repair we did because it was unnecessary to repair the issue we presented. We should have had to pay diagnostic labor. But it is clear the problem was guessed and not actually diagnosed.
Beat place in the DFW to get your car serviced.!! Very professional and very informative
Safety inspection. Did not expect them to change the clock to military time from standard time. No reason for them to do that.
I didn’t have an appointment but that didn’t matter. They were able to get to me within 10 minutes of arriving. Service on my vehicle was quick and efficient. The staff is wonderful and will go back again.
A+++ service.. I’m new to frisco and need an oil change..Fast friendly service
Went in for a state inspection, they got it done fast.
I came in today to get my car inspected, just moved from Maryland. I was surprised at the level of efficiency and courteous behavior I received. Definitely will be back. I love good service.
Pleased with the attention and explanations so I understood all the issues
Always professional, always honest. We have been taking our cars there for 14 years and will continue to do so.
So unbelievably disappointed at Driver’s Edge Frisco. On May 8, 2021, We took our SUV for service regarding our air conditioning. After diagnostic, we consented for the repair of the A/C compressor ($1300). We were told our vehicle would be ready by the end of the business day (it was a Saturday). Prior to the close of the business day, my husband received a call from the shop asking if we had a spare key because the vehicle wasn’t turning on. The SUV was 100% running, no issues aside from the A/C when it was placed in their possession. Upon speaking with staff, my husband was told that in the process of the A/C compressor being replaced the mechanic accidentally burned a main fuse. Due to the timing, we were told the vehicle would have to stay in the shop until Monday when the manager, Pedro, would stop by first thing to the Infiniti Dealership to order and pick up the fuse. Which would be replaced at no cost. I picked up my vehicle Monday afternoon, took it straight home, and the very next day, took my husband to a medical appointment not less than 10 miles away. On our way home, our SUV would not accelerate and ultimately turned off. Knowing, that a main fuse was blown, caused by a short; you do not have to be an experienced mechanic to know that further things were damaged as a result of that short. We immediately called Pedro, who “had no idea” what the issue could be, because they had fixed the fuse they blew. He asked for us to take the SUV back to his shop, so they could take a look at it. Let’s not talk about the “alleged rat” that ate up the cables to the story. This “accident” caused our battery and the alternator to go out. The manager, who says he is “so kind” advised that he would replace our alternator (labor only-as our alternator was under warranty), as well as our battery (which was also under warranty), essentially only covering his mechanic’s labor fees. At first, common sense Customer Service, you would expect 1.) an apology that in the process of fixing an issue, your staff caused another issue, 2.) that you will make it right because I turned in a perfectly running vehicle. We are straight forward people, accidents happen, no need to point fingers, do the right thing and replace what your staff’s lack of diligence caused. Instead, we received a “who replaced your previous alternator, because that mechanic did a horrible job?” “where did you buy the alternator… O’Reilly’s is the last place I would ever buy an alternator.” First, the previous is absolutely IRRELEVANT. I dropped off my vehicle running perfectly, with no issue aside from the A/C. The mechanic Dylan spoke with my husband, who apologized and said this never happens, but he wasn’t careful enough. He further stated that he caused an electrical shortage behind the alternator when replacing the A/C Compressor, that burnt out a main fuse to the vehicle, and as a result of it the alternator and the battery died. My husband, thanked the mechanic as we wanted to know what had occurred. Dylan was the only person who 1.) accepted responsibility for his actions, and 2.) apologized for his mistake. When the phone was turned over the manager Pedro, we received nothing but excuses, and that unfortunately he would have to charge us this time for labor on replacing the alternator again, because the first time, was “out of the kindness” of his heart. Part 2 to follow:
Very professional and affordable. Will definitely refer friends and family there.
Took my car there due to overheating and Pedro told me it was water pump but wanted to charge me $209 for athe water pump which I found at autozone for $46! Then he told me labor would take 10 hours, which I found out from dealership it only takes 3-4 hours for labor! So needless to say his overall quote of $2000 was excessively price gouged! So glad I took my chances getting home and not being ripped of by a professional thief!
I had a great experience the manager was great and helpful the techs was great as well I will be back great place with I could have brought them some beer
Wonderful service! They went out of their way to save us the money on new tire sensors. Professional Fast and Courteous!
First timer here. Great service, easy and fast oil change and state inspection.
They were extremely helpful. I had an inspection done, they were quick, helpful and informative.
Went for a state inspection and was given exceptional service! John Michael is a class A individual. Appreciate the help!
I always get my State Inspection done there. Professional and efficient!
Great experience with two different cars. Honest advice and quick service with decent prices.
These guys were super friendly and very helpful as far as what I needed. They were able to get me same day service and back on the road for a very fair price! Most definitely recommend this place!
Jeb and his team do an outstanding job and really treat their customers well. They are professional, honest and pleasure to do business with whenever automotive work is needed.
It was fast and thorough that were very attentive and polite
Got state inspection done. Very busy Saturday afternoon. Work was performed for the inspection. People were pleasant. I would check with them for repairs the next time I need services.
Truly a professional and helpful experience!
Came in for an oil change. They informed me that the fluids needed to be flushed which wasnt a problem. Overall, I gave it a 3 star review. They checked my filter and left it open. I didnt realize it until I was home. This isnt the first time that theyve forgotten to assemble something back together.
Good service and reasonable charges
Absolutely first rate service by Jeb and his team! Brought my son’s truck in for an oil change, state inspection, front end alignment and tire rotation - somehow one of the wheel caps was misplaced; Jeb lost no time in searching out, finding and ordering a replacement cap with no questions asked! Jeb’s extra effort solidified my loyalty to the Driver’s Edge Team; we will absolutely bring in all 4 of our vehicles to your team in the future!
My vehicle registration was due and it required an inspection. I called Drivers Edge on a Saturday morning around 11:30 am and was advised to bring it on in. I walked right in, provided additional info needed and decided to wait in their waiting area. Once the vehicle was ready they informed me of an additional service they could provide based on something they inspected. I chose to hold off on the service but I will bring it to the dealership attention because my car was recently serviced and that was not mentioned.
The whole staff was great. I was helped by one person during the diagnostic of the issue. He told me what the issue was and then gave me a quote to complete the work. I came in the next morning and another staff member was working. He picked up right where the other one left off. Gave me the same quote and had my resistor replaced and AC working in my car again within 45 minutes. The previous employee had already ordered the part the night before and the whole thing could not have gone smoother. These guys are great! Small shop with big output! Highly recommend these guys to anyone!
Great customer service they explained everything to me and got me in and out ! exactly what you want when your having inconvenient car problems! they shuttled me to and from work with no wait. i will be back!
Great team that provides honest, direct communication
UPDATE: DO NOT GO HERE!!! They are NOT honest. Sold me rotors when not necessary based on 3 other quotes! (1 other company called it that I was talking to Drivers Edge!) Told me my Nissan had special rotors that were unable to be turned. Total BS!! Told me if I wanted to be unsafe then just change pads.
This is my first time at a Drivers Edge. I am confident their work is dependable. It took longer than they said by 15 mins and they are a bit more expensive than other oil changes, but its normal to wait and pay for quality. Ill probably go back to them for my next service.
The GM, Pedro, is a thief. He tried to charge me $700 for a $120 fuel injector that takes 30 minutes for anyone to replace. When I confronted him about it, he explained that hes a professional thief. They also misdiagnosed my vehicle as having a misfire in the #5 cylinder, when the misfire was actually in the 8th cylinder.
Polite, excellent quality, kept customer informed
Have had a lot of work done on multiple vehicles here quality of work is great, service is excellent, price is reasonable. This is the only place Im taking my vehicles!!
Great service and super friendly people!
TL;DR: really friendly people here who do good work, but -1 star for some recent instances of carelessness.Pre-COVID, I drove weekly between Austin and Frisco, so in the past year, I came here pretty often for my oil changes and tire rotations. Ive also replaced my tires and spark plugs here as well. The guys who work the front are exceedingly friendly and courteous; theyre the main reason Ive continued coming here. Theyve even helped fix my glove compartment when it randomly wouldnt close as I was on my way out. Most of my visits, Ive had no complaints. However, my two most recent visits have seen some sloppiness (hence 4 instead of 5 stars).First, on a routine oil change, whoever worked on my car forgot to replace the oil change sticker reminder on my windshield. No big deal--I can remember that on my own.Second, when getting two of my tires replaced, they forgot or lost my tire valve caps. Luckily, I had a spare set of them in my car. Again, no big deal, but seems kind of careless of them. Also, one of the wheels looked much worse than when I brought it in--just big, gnarly patches of the wheels finish had come off. To be fair, that wheel was already damaged, and the finish was already flaking, but I wish they couldve been more delicate with it. Again though, not a huge deal. The car is 11 years old, and its not like I know how to remove a wheel and whether further damage couldve been avoided.Ill continue to see if more instances like these two creep into my future visits, but all in all, this is definitely a place that deserves your patronage.
Fixed my original problem but told me my car had problems it didnt really have to make more $.
Took my car in for the state inspection and it was completed earlier than expected. The staff is friendly, yet professional, and the waiting room is very clean and stocked with water and coffee.
I have tried to do the inspection here. Went there back and forth 4-5 times. Mostly I got, busy, come back next time, inspection guys not available, machine not working, and there could be many more if I go next time :)
Got my state inspection completed today. They were very professional and they finished very quickly. I was happy to see appropriate social distancing measures taken in the waiting room.
They are always polite and do a good job.
Helped me out with an inspection on my car and motorcycle. Ended up working out well.
At the request service was one price, after service different !brake fluid $40 -service and fluid exchange on receipt Included .but after they done it the price increased for $90 total $130 brake fluid exchange.note :that mast be inc in $40 price.. ( this is really cheap service in any other shops -brake fluid exchange, not $130$+tax)really bad Waiting time . they took my car for service after 55 minutes of waiting time, and I was five minutes before of my appointment . so total I spend there 2hrs . for Oil change and rotation and brake fluid exchange .Never go there ! AND it all the same price at Official Dealer .Thanks
Justin was so awesome today. He got me in when I showed up in a panic over leaving the kwik Car in Prosper. I had a horrible experience where they let me drive away with 1 qt of oil in my car and when I went back they over filled it.I said did you even change the filter and they could not produce the old filter. I had a bad feeling so I pulled into D.E. and Justin took my car in right away, he showed me they in fact did not change the filter. He ordered one to be delivered immediately and I was with new oil and filter in 30 mind. I will be back. Thanks Justin.
Excellent service and have been dependable for my service requirements
Great, friendly, efficient service. I highly recommend Driver’s Edge Frisco.
Flat tire- they were a few blocks away and they serviced my car right away and finished in under an hour. Professional, quick & easy.
Great service hands down direct information I needed to hear for repairs
Fantastic place thats nearby to me.They do great oil change and all around service.
They have always been very good for me. They perform the services I need in a timely manner. I would recommend them.
It used to be reasonably priced . Looks like new people there are ripping off . Charged $290 for less than 30 mins labor. Not a to-go place any more
Had them do the Sate/Safety inspection. Fast and efficient.
Took over 2 hours for an oil change and tire rotation. The next day, I found the cap for my brake fluid sitting just below the wiper arm. You might want to have a second set of eyes check things out before handing the keys back to the owner. Not my best experience here.
My family has been using this Drivers Edge for years, primarily for inspections but also for smashers maintenance items. The staff has always been professional and punctual. It’s a great “in and out” experience and many times service can be completed while you wait. They also don’t come up with “ghost repairs” that plague many shops.
I went here 2 weeks ago to have an emissions test done. I had to park my car and go inside because nobody came to inquire about my needs while in the car (most places help you this way) but no big deal although we are smack in the middle of Covid.I went inside for help. The two white men at the counter were horrible. Not 1 of them made eye contact with me or said we will be with you shortly. I dont play the race card but I never felt so disrespected and overlooked like this at a car company. How sad. Im a black female and I wore a mask. This is my 3rd attempt going to this place for something basic. One time I needed an alignment and the mechanic was out until the next week.Thats the last straw. I drove up the street to Christian Brothers and they were great. I was greeted and seen as a person. And they took care of me immediately even though they had a busy day.I wouldnt recommend this place.
My experience went very well. I requested a quote for a water leak repair and I will be heading back for the repair.
Been going here for several years. Theyve always been upfront about costs and options. They also honored their warranty the one time it was needed while we were on a road trip out of state. They worked with the other shop to get the replacement part and covered the installation. Overall, have been very happy with this shop.
Great customer service, super friendly, will continue taking my car here.
Competent and Quick!!! 2 things I like a LOT in Auto Repair shops.
Drivers Edge did the usual excellent Job. We rely on them for great service of all our cars.
Jeb took good care of me will be back! Satisfied with my wheel alignment.
The service was very friendly and professional.
Guys in there where nice and talked through problems and solutions with an accurate time estimate. all you can ask for
The total charge included $159 “3year warranty” for the wheel alignment. This was not mentioned in the quote. Seems underhanded as I certainly wouldn’t have agreed to paying for a warranty.
These guys are awesome. Love their work.
The team is great and efficient! Always go here for my vehicle needs!
Had inspection done. Did not have to wait long at all.
Damon and the staff are great. I bring all of our families vehicles here for anything that I cant do myself. They perform quality work and are very customer service oriented. Keep it up!
Very professional and positive experience! Will use them again!
These guys provide quality and trustworthy work. Thank you!
Always professional and courteous when I bring my vehicle in. Drivers Edge has become my “go to” mechanic.
I chose this place based off of reviews & location.. got an oil change & an alignment yesterday (11/20) & some how wake up with a flat tire? drove less than 1/2 a mile after the rotation, seems conspicuous.
Professional and friendly. Service met expectations. Vehicle finished by promised time.
Have been doing business with Drivers Edge for at least 15 years. With the exception of one bad egg they hired, service has always been excellent. The manager at the Frisco store on Lebanon saved me twice this week.
One of the best car repairing service center in the city. All the mechanical engineer were well trained and professional.Price was reasonable ..
Ive been going to this Drivers edge since I moved to the area earlier this year. Im not super familiar with car mechanics, so I appreciate that they take the time to explain things to me so I understand what issues might be going on. I have never felt like they have taken advantage or tried to recommend something that wasnt necessary. Ive had all my oil changes done here, brakes, and recently had an issue with a knocking noise that I was really concerned about and they knew exactly what it was and got it fixed right away and the pricing was extremely reasonable. The Manager is knowledgeable, friendly, and always provides great customer service (along with the other people at the front desk). I will definitely continue to take my car here for all its service needs.
Quick, fast, easy, friendly service with a fair price. Great group of hard working young men.
We have used this shop for years, and have had good customer service and on-the-mark car care. I went to them tell them I though I had a valve problem, and they told me the noise I was hearing was just likely a dirty fuel injector. They could have charged me for full diagnostics and done a valve job, but they didnt. I appreciate the honesty and good service!
Took my car in for a light and idle issues. Nicole got things going quickly. The tech was great and knew his stuff.Competitive pricing. Friendly service. Theyll definitely get my next automotive repair.
Took my son’s car in for state inspection and the service I got was exceptional. Very friendly, helpful and prompt. I asked them to fill tires with air as pressure was low and they happily did that. It was pouring rain as I was waiting at the McDonalds next door. They sent a fellow over to pick me up. Highly recommend.
Been using DE a year for our family fleet. The cars run noticeably better than before. The preventive service and guidance makes a difference. They are priced more than many local competitors but their consistency and reliability are worth the little extra it costs me. It all starts with customer service that is noticeably professional.
This place has the friendliest, most knowledgeable staff I’ve ever encountered at an auto business. They take the time to explain exactly what they’re doing and answer all questions in a friendly and professional manner. Their staff goes the extra mile to show that they care. I seriously doubt that their level of customer service can be matched.
The nicest service! I went to Firestone to get a brakelight changed and they were going to charge me $83! I went to drivers edge and they charged me about a fraction of the cost!! And they were faster than what Firestone told me they would do! If I wasnt moving soon, I would seriously come here all the time for my car needs.
