Went in to get taxes done, started off like any H&R Block visit. Was greeted friendly by the front desk. When Marianne was introduced to me to help me, she seemed pleasant. Thats where it ended. I have a few questions about legality of a return, she was continually rude, over talking me, and went from either insulting how much I made or saying thats really good. She was argumentative pretty much every step of the way. After being told I was wrong, or just not listening to what I was saying and telling me that I have a smart boss, when in fact my boss has done some illegal tax actions, I finally got up and left. How can you hire rude, argumentative people who dont even listen to whats being said to them?

I had a very good experience at the tax store! I have been doing my taxes online for years., this year decided to go into the store to get an advance. I have been a customer of H&R Block for 10 years now and I wouldn’t go anywhere else!!

Bad customer service. I booked a last minute appointment but the website said they were available and they confirmed my appointment. Then when I was in route only a minute away they called to say sorry need to cancel your appointment the agent isnt working today. As were were literally about to pull into the parking lot we went ahead inside only to be given attitude like this was our fault. Other people shouting across the building telling us to go somewhere else!

They got the job done. It took a few days, and granted they were able to solve some problems with our claim that would not have been possible through turbotax. We went during the evening (after 5 pm), when apparently the B team is working. One of the employees, the younger of the ladies working, was the subject matter expert, and was a little derogatory when we asked for clarification on different aspects of our claim. It was obvious that she didnt understand the situation but her tactic was to insult clients intelligence in order to cover up her insecurities. I could deal with that but hey we are paying these people $250 for an hours work. Expected more professionalism on their part.
