Absolute Drywall Service is one of the largest residential drywall service providers in Houston. We have been a VARC Solutions client since July 2012. As our company has grown over the years, VARC has been there to consult with us and restructure our QuickBooks file. Recently we had a damaged file, and by that we mean damaged to a degree that there was no turning back. Robin from VARC Solutions worked with Intuit data services to see what could be salvaged as we still needed this historical record. Robin helped us set up a new file, getting it up and running in quickly. She worked nights and over a weekend so that we could start on the first of the next month. The staff at Absolute Drywall Service was able to have only limited down time, and was still be able to collect and pay money as needed.Robin and the VARC staff often have forethought and solutions for my business that I would have not likely found on my own. This is because of their breadth of knowledge, resources and continued quest to understand my core business. They turn my dreams into working formulas for our event apps. Annette is always available to assist however I need and if the product cannot do exactly what I am asking for it to do she is always good at giving me alternatives to arrive at the same information. She is also great at making sure I understand the formula and what it is doing so that I can alter it moving forward for other events if necessary.

Mary Vackar helped with what seemed to be the most difficult task for QuickBooks and my bank. I could not get my bank feeds to import and no one would tackle getting the issue solved, except Mary. It took hours upon hours and almost 30 days to get it resolved but, Mary NEVER GAVE UP! She took on the software programming team from the bank and QuickBooks. Mary is amazing and has always answered my calls when I am in need of help with any questions. I am forever a client, fan and now will be a spokes person for VARC! The customer service and support you get from them is priceless. Thank you VARC and Mary for going over and beyond!!

When it comes to software support Robin Hall is the best Ive ever dealt with. Her knowledge of Quickbooks and ability to virtually come to my office makes the accounting tasks associated with running my business much much easier. Very cost effective as well, since youve got an expert on staff so to speak that youre not paying full time.

We have been working with Robin and her amazing staff since 2009. When we began our journey together, everything we had was hardcopy. That is to say, we did everything by hand, from entering sales data to reconciling our bank statement. It took hours and hours, and lots of erasing. From the minute Robin entered our office, until today, it has been the best decision we have ever made as a company. Robin is the smartest, most organized, and easily accessible person I have ever encountered. Her knowledge of Quick Books and Quick Base cannot be matched. I have never encountered a problem that she could not fix within a very short time, and I have given her a lot!!! Her staff is so well trained that even if Robin is not available, there is always someone who can help. Our office is now streamlined. What used to take us hours now takes minutes, we can find data at the touch of a keystroke, and any report that you can think up, we can produce! Our Quick Base has moved our inventory into the 21st century, and we are confident of all the data we have! As with Quick Books, with Quick Base and the touch of a couple key strokes we have any and all the data we need. We had hardly any records and what we had was completely messed up. We were in crisis. We needed our taxes done but we had nothing to go by besides our manual hand-written records. We had no idea what our Accounts Receivable account was, and could only guesstimate what the profit margins were on our projects. We were growing fast and Quickbooks was just abandoned while we used our Salesforce cloud to keep track of sales AND payments...in other words we had NO hard copy evidence of our finances other than bank statements and deposit slips! The professionals at VARC quickly began inputting our information, and although I admittedly had no idea what the process and steps being taken were, I felt comfortable putting 100% faith in the VARC team. I am so glad that I found Robin and her team. They are so professional! The phone is answered on the first ring, they work quickly, stay late and worked on the 4th of July holiday weekend! The first couple of days I almost felt like the company was a patient in the emergency room being rescued from a horrible accident, but now I feel like it is going to be BETTER than it ever was. The fees they charge are fair, especially after I added up the paychecks to our in-house bookkeeper for a year! I am looking forward to next week, when after VARC finishes correcting and updating our bookkeeping, they are going to come to our office and put procedures in place to make sure our company can keep things going on our own! It is a dream come true and a vital investment for the company! It has always been my fantasy that at the end of the year to be able to just push a few buttons and get the figures and reports we need to hand to our accountant for our taxes! If your company needs help with bookkeeping procedures, you would be crazy NOT to hire VARC!

First, I’d like to point out that we never got to use Varc’s product (Q2Q)…we never got to that point. This is a review of dealing with their employees and the uphill battle we briefly faced with them.We came to QuickBase with the need to run a few special projects, but we quickly found ourselves wanting to link and analyze many areas of our business (especially financials). With our accounting department using a desktop version of QuickBooks, our options were limited. So, we did some research and found Varc Solutions. They had strong reviews, so we reached out. Initially things started out great…They we’re responsive and helpful, but that soon changed as soon as we signed the document for them just to review our setup.On April 14th 2017, we signed the document for them to review. It took a week to get us a drop box location for our QuickBooks company file. At that point we were told it should be a few days to a week for the review to take place, no issue there. We checked in after one week, and were informed by the sales rep, that it will be no later than the end of the week. After no communication by the close of business that Friday, we checked in the following Tuesday. Again, “sorry for the inconvenience” should be end of the week. This back and forth continued for almost a month, and at which point we had lost all faith. We did finally receive their review (that cost us 3g), but at that point we had to move on to another solution, since we had deadlines of our own to meet. Our biggest frustration was that Varc’s deadlines were all self-imposed (we based our deadlines, for a final product, on those self-imposed deadlines), and they couldn’t meet one. If they had only been upfront and communicated realistic time frames, or at the least checked base with us (instead of us pleading for updates), then this review probably doesn’t take place.Maybe we just had a rare experience. But, in the end, that’s all it takes. Honestly, if you’re looking for additional tracking and analysis from linked QuickBooks data, then make the transition (if possible) to Online version of QuickBooks, and save yourself a ton of money and headache.
