Leo and his staff are fantastic! The cars are clean and he has a good selection. I have rented commercial vehicles for business as well as vehicles for pleasure from him for over 5 years. He has a great location in downtown Fresno and an uptown Blackstone Avenue lot too. Leo always goes the extra mile for his patrons!

The gentleman that took care of us was very respectful and knowledgeable. The transaction was very smooth. Nice and clean and staff was very pleasant. Highly recommend and no wait time it was GREAT!!

Ive used them in the past, and been satisfied, even better than happy! This time, though, the car smells fine, but its dirty. The inside windshield looks like someone turned a toddler with an ice cream cone loose on it.

Picked up rental car today. So far so good. Staff was ok. Mid size car ok so far.

Down payment... So I wanted to make sure down payment (money) was returned if we follow Their Rules and guidelines...

Not the best. Went to pick up rental. Didnt have what we booked so he offered something smaller for the same price! He also offered a car that smelled like cigarettes and looked liked the person just dropped it off. Trash in the car and filthy. Usually you get offered an upgrade when they dont have what you booked.

The rental car I got from them have a flat tire and the engine died on me 3x. Almost had an accident because the car died at stop light. During my rental because of the flat I was not able to utilized the car. Discount was only $30.00. Should have been an upgrade or one day at no cost. Last time I will go there.

Rented me a dirty car with a cracked windshield. Was adamantly assured there would be no issues with the damage. Dropped the vehicle of in the Santa Maria location the same day. Received a call the following day from the Santa Maria location requesting I come in and fill out an incident report for the damaged windshield???Politely requested the Santa Maria location reference their records to see that the vehicle was picked up damaged. They refused.Politely requested they reach out to the Fresno location and clear up the confusion in house. They refused.I, as the customer, was forced to phone the Fresno location and have them reach out to the Santa Maria location to clear up the issue. I feel like a budget car rental hourly employee at this point.

I rented a car for a week, upon return, I was told it smelled of light smoke by the manager. I never smoked in the car and told them that. I asked the worker who started to vaccumn the car after return if it smelled like smoke and he said no, maybe cologne. The manager said he was charging me $250. I had to call Budget corporate office to complain. Then they reversed the charge. The manager was quite unprofessional and rude. I had paid for another week rental in advance at same location and i had to cancel it and lose $50. I would never do business with this location again.I regularly rent cars and have used other locations/ companies since this incident. They lost what could of been a repeat customer because of poor management.

Dont use this rental car company. I reserved a car for a rental fee plus a deposit using my debit card. Walked 30 minutes to their location. I had to pass a soft credit check in leiu of having a credit card to rent the car. I dont have bad credit, I just dont have any credit cards so I dont have any credit. Even though I already put a deposit & was charged the rental fee, they denied the rental & charged me a cancellation fee equal to the amount of the deposit & rental fee. I called the 1-800 number & was told I would get a refund since it is not my doing, but I wont get it for 48 hours... So they took my money, denied the rental car, & are holding my money for 48 hours. They are a ripoff. Now because of them I have to wait 48 before I can get another rental somewhere else because they are keeping my money. Im never using this company again.

Not the best Customer Service. I called to extend my car and called back to doube check they did and I get a phone call asking why I havent returned the car. They charged me double the rate of the car for the few days extra that I needed to keep it. They had a good rate to start but thats about it. I will never rent from this Company again. Definitely going back to Hertz or Enterprise they have better Customer Service.

I love the fact that they moved downtown. The staff is always great an easy to talk to. I have always rented with budget. the cars are ALWAYS CLEAN. NEVER in the past 8years of dealing with them have i ever had a problem. Plus you can always find a great coupon code online. still cheap without it too. plus customer service is everything an they got it!

If I could give this a negative star rating I would. We rent 40 plus trucks a year. Had issues due to traffic and 2 hours late. They charged us for 2 extra days and then told us to call where we rented it and then customer service as they had no control over this ridiculous charge. So after contacting both other options, both told us that this location is the only ones who can fix it. So they straight lied to our faces. Overcharged us and were pretty rude about the whole situation. I am very customer service oriented due to my job and this by far is the worst experience I have ever had. And due to all this nonsense we ended up missing our flight. If you are in Fresno CA, do not rent from the budget on ventura st. You will be happy to dodge this bullet. Go elsewhere.

They act all nice to your face but once they get your credit card. They will make up excuses to charge cleaning fees that total $250 extra plus tax. Their cleaning crew smokes in cars and then adds cleaning fees to your bills. Leo and Miguel his assistant say one thing then completely do something else. Bad business you guys bad business.

I would not recommend this place! Because of their lack of communication when it comes to thier policies and procedures our vacation was ruined and cut short. The older gentleman that runs this place is extremely vauge when it comes to the costs that you will actually be liable for when renting a car here. While we were enjoying our vacation we became aware of this fact, and when we called to address this issue this older gentleman hung up on us! When we finally got back into town and were able to speak with this man face to face, he eventually apologized, but that didnt change the fact that our vacation was ruined! Plus the car rental was dirty. Weve rented many cars and never had to deal with a situation like this. Location is the Budget Rental on Ventura in down town Fresno.

I rented from this company for almost a year, when I got contracts to work in Fresno. Ive always had great customer service. If I come back I would definitely rent from here!

I so agree with Mikell Castle, I was hit with a $250 cleaning fee. When I called, first thing was said; car smelled like smoke, ashes found in car. Placed on hold then said oh charged extra because unauthorized driver returned car (my daughter, I became ill). So first smelled like smoke and then unauthorized driver. Car was spotless clean. My daughter had two witnesses with her, they heard the guy say everything looks good to my daughter (Good thing they video the walk thru secretly). Will report to the main office. The guy said no problem for my daughter returning the car and said hope your mom feels better soon. Please people take pictures and video tape the walk thru. Do not rent there, go to the airport instead

Good service, 24 hour rental. Last time I rented u-haul which charges you every 4 hours.
