I contracted Universal Com Link to install a new VOIP system and network server to link our two locations. At the time of initial proposal, I was told we needed a certain amount of band width to operate the system. I was also told that one of my locations had the band width required to operate the system. I was quoted a monthly cost for each line of the phone system and was told that I would save a significant amount of $$ by converting to a VOIP. I contracted with my local cable company to obtain the recommended band width. Upon installation of my system, the owner of Universal Com Link stated to me that they felt badly that I had entered into a three year contract with my cable company because I didnt need nearly the amount of band width I had purchased. Also, after installation, my telephone system was not operating properly for THREE months! I own a seasonal business and this happened during the height of the season. I got the complete run around for several months and in the end, switched companies to correct the blunders made by Universal Com Link. This happened two years ago, and now it was discovered that when the server was installed something wasnt mapped correctly! In the end, my telephone bill TRIPLED, my system didnt work properly, AND the company didnt want to reduce my invoice for the work that was performed! I would not recommend this company.
