We absolutely LOVE Sylvan Fremont! Both of my children have had the opportunity to participate in their programs and have gained so much from attending. Currently, my daughter is attending and loves it. Because of the pandemic and having to have the children virtually learn, it has been difficult on my very social daughter to keep up. In just a few weeks of attending, we have noticed a huge difference with her attitude towards learning. If you are thinking about enrolling your child, DO IT. Its SO important to invest in your childs education, especially during the younger years. The director Anu is SO AWESOME and will be truly supportive of your needs.I also want to add that one of the main reasons I chose Sylvan was their communication with your childs teacher. They check in with your childs regular school teacher to ensure what they are learning at school is connected to what they practice at Sylvan. We love being a Sylvan family and look forward to our daughter living up to her full potential!
Sylvan staff does an excellent job supplement the childrens education. I got my sister tutoring before the pandemic and now my nephew. Still great service with online tutoring. They have helped the children in my family immensely.
My son goes to Pleasanton Satellite Sylvan center for English reading and writing skills. Over the past few months he has shown significant improvement is this area and all my thanks goes to Sylvan learning centerstaff for their tremendous attention and effort for making this happen. Pleasanton Satellite Sylvan center has handled the pandemic situation very carefully by following all the guidelines promptly.
UPDATE: I wrote a good review early on in our time with Sylvan, but I have grown in my appreciation Sylvan. I have been SO IMPRESSED at how quickly Sylvan went online during the pandemic. The 1-on-1 sessions my kids have had twice/week which started almost immediately after schools closed has been a lifeline while PPS got its ducks in a row. Kudos to Teresa, Mary and the team for getting the online tutoring rolling so fast. Also, I should add that I have grown in my admiration for the tutors themselves. When the kids were at the center, I couldnt see them in action. But now I overhear the tutors quality teaching and my kids pride in their work. You get what you pay for with this place!
Im thrilled that Sylvan has been consistent providing a fun environment for kids to learn. I went to Sylvan in Fremont in 1990 while struggling in the third grade. It help me so so much and my grades drastically improved. Im so pleased now seeing my 11 year old son build his confidence and improving his skills everyday. He loves his teachers and is always excited about attending. Thanks Sylvan for mastering your craft.
If you need more or less hours they do that directly. They also help you when needed
We are very happy with Sylvan. Sylvan has made learning more enjoyable for our son. His attitude toward learning has been turned from negative to positive. Sylvan has increased our sons confidence in school. His teacher in school also remarked on how our son is beginning to contribute to classroom discussions. Sylvan has also improved our sons reading, writing, and language skills, which were what he needed to improve most. Sylvan has reduced our frustration and stress with our son in academics. On top of all of this, my son just LOVES Sylvan. He just cant wait to go. This is an absolute plus. I find it very cute that they each get a check book to keep track of the tokens they earn to get prizes at the Sylvan store. They certainly know how to combine learning and fun.
Sylvan Learning of Fremont has helped my son tremendously with his Math, Writing, and Robotics( building cool things with LEGO). Previous to Sylvan, we had him in another after school program with not so impressive results. I encourage you to visit this place and explore it for yourself. My son loves it a lot at Sylvan.
Sylvan Learning of Fremont has made a great difference in my sons confidence and ability. Im very proud of his improvement with the help of Vivian and the team. Thanks Sylvan Learning of Fremont.
My son complained about not getting help from the tutors for the subject he needed. So I pull him out from the center after 4 months. I had paid in advance for tutor hours. I still have not received my refund for remaining hours for over 3 months. They are quick to take your money for the service they can not provide and want hold on your money forever. May be not to refund you. If I can give no star, I would. Keep your kid away from the center and spend your money somewhere else.
Our 5th grade son began attending Sylvan about 4 months ago. The goal was to improve his reading comprehension and writing skills. Weve already seen significant progress in his writing ability in this short time, and his confidence has grown tremendously. Also as a surprise to me- he really enjoys the program! The teachers are doing a great job!
My sons been going here since last school year. He use to go to kumon close our house. But hes not learning anything. Ever since he started going to Sylvan, he started doing better and even got a couple of awards from his school. The extra 30 minutes of drive to Sylvan learning center of Fremont is worth the drive.
Excellent program!! The staff are very friendly, nice and helpful. My son struggle on his Algebra 2, after 2 weeks of tutoring my sons test improved from a C- to a B+
It been only been a few weeks that i have enroll my daughter in their reading and comprehension class, i can see improvement in her reading already. I am happy to see that she is more eager to read more now.The best part is that teachers in Sylvan makes it fun for them to learn.
My experience here was amazing. The teachers are very friendly and worked harder to make me a better student. Overall I advanced in the subjects that I was struggling in, they have made a huge difference in my education.
Its great learning place. Neat and clean and experience teachers
Sylvan has helped improve my reading an essay writing I have found the teachers and directors very friendly I look forward to each week to attend my sessions Sylvan is a great place to gain needed skills.
Had a test proctored here. They were nice and cant really say much about their tutoring services. I felt like $75 for the first proctored test was kindof steep for basically letting me use their slow computer for 75 minutes
My two daughters are going to Sylvan almost one and half months, It appears Anu Sharma understand the parents concern and kids problem for any subject they need help, Anu has an excellent experience to provide the best services and she has very good teaching staff, she always monitor kids if they need any help, I would recommend Sylvan is the best place for tutoring.
Sylvan Fremont branch is the place where my three kids go, it’s amazing, all the teachers and specially Vivian the program coordinator is so professional and supportive that I don’t have enough words to praise her, my youngest came to sylvan when she was in KG and we were so lost that how would she go up, today she is excelling in grade 1st and it’s all because of the wonderful staff members and how can I not mention Anu Sharma she has been so cooperative and helpful all along, my all 3 kids owe a big high five 🖐 to Sylvan, thank you all, keep up the great work .
Totally unprofessional management. They kept on telling me that they could handle my daughters geometry level for six months and kept on promising that they would be arranging for more geometry teachers soon. After the first two months we realized that there is only one teacher Sandy who can teach geometry well at my daughters level there and she is available only on mon-wed. She unfortunately has had some family emergencies and has been out a couple of times in the last two months which basically means my daughter did not get any help when she needed for tests and quizzes. The substitutes provided were below sub standard who either solved the problems wrong or were not even familiar with the basics. And now with three months of school time remaining, I have to look for another tutor because they dont know when their main teacher will back from her family Emergency. I continued here only because Sandy is a great teacher and my daughter was happy with her. I do understand teachers can have emergencies and health problems but this feedback is for the management who were not able to provide substitute help whenever needed in spite of constant reassurances that they were training more teachers so that we would have access to teachers whenever needed during the week.
My son has been going to Fremont Sylvan for the last 8 months for reading and writing for the 6th grade level. Now his reading is at the 8th grade level and work in progress on writing essays. My son likes his teachers and the way hes being taught. As a parent, I had asked Sylvan to give him homework during summer time, which helped him a lot. Now, hes only taking writing class. I really like that Sylvan contacts the English teacher and update him/her about what hes working on and what he may need help on according to the teacher. During the 5th grade, his grade had gone up and the score on the common core had gone up.
My son has been enrolled in Sylan for about a month now and so far SO GOOD! I really appreciate the directors and staff for their knowledge about the children’s learning objectives. Some of them have even worked for school districts and they know the system pretty well. They are very welcoming.Sylvan communicates with your child’s teacher to ensure more collaboration as long as your child teacher is willing to do so.I also love the fact that all of the teachers here have their bachelors or master’s degrees! Their curriculum involves a program utilizing interactive technology such as tablets and computers as well as flash cards for weekly spelling words. (Note: third grade level)The location is good. Parking is not bad at all. If you park closer to the DMV side and walk around it will be less congested than on the opposite side where most parents park. You can even grab a bite to eat or go for a grocery run (as most sessions are about an hour each) at Whole Foods!I have seen a SIGNIFICANT improvement in my sons reading and also in his confidence. He’s more motivated, applies himself more and even does homework on his own now which was a struggle before. I HIGHLY recommend you give Sylvan a try if you are worried and/or frustrated of seeing your child struggle in a particular subject or don’t know how to help them. They will start them at the level they are at so they can get up to speed with their peers. The only small downside is the price, of course, it is a little hefty BUT there are plenty of payment options, financing, etc. available which is great because it’s well worth it in the end to see your child succeed!! They are VERY helpful with this aspect. Also, take advantage of MYSylvan online (complimentary apps, learning games, etc.) for extra practice for your child at home or in the car. I am SO excited for what’s to come. I have a feeling if we continue at Sylvan, my son will be advanced and pass his peers up in no time (hopefully by Summer of next year) and I will owe everything to Sylvan and myself for investing in them.I’ll provide an update as we move along towards the Holidays for more tips and pointers but definitely check them out! You will feel much better about your child’s academic studies if you do! P.S- Don’t wait too long like I did—the earlier you can get them caught up...the better.
Staff is very supportive. The token system works for my daughter.
My daughter got their english program 3 months ago. She learned lots of vocabularys. They are responseble, the direct Vivian sent the email to my daughters teachers in the school for asking about her learning. I am appreciate it!
Thank you for helping me learn!!!
