One of the best boat repairs in the Rockford area, Freeport s best, fair prices, good work except needs more help

Had boat trailer harness installed, they did not allow enough wire so when turning the car the plug came out and dragged onthe road. Called them about it and he wanted me todrivefrom Rockford again 50 mile round trip.and he would fix it. I decided to buy new harness and do it myself. I asked for a refund they sent 10.00., I guess they need the money more than i do so i tore the check and will never go back. How cheap can you get thatdoes not even take care of the part and labor. I just threw away 140.00 . i thought i finally found aboat repair place. Never again

Does good work but gouges prices on parts. Had a water pump kit installed and he charged me $150 just for the kit (without labor) which is listed at $50 across the board online on all sites. They will fix things without even attempting to contact you about the issue and then magically your bill is twice as much. If you’re willing to whip out the checkbook by all means don’t hesitate to take your boat here. If you’re on a budget, beware.

Slow service. They damaged the boat trailer while in their shop. Even though they repaired the damage, it never should have been damaged in the first place. The engine ran worse after they said they fixed it than when I took it in for repair. When I called he couldnt recall who I was. Rule #1 for any business is to remember your customers.

Rick and Gabe are my go-too guys for boat service, rick is the owner and Gabe is his employee they are both very knowledgeable and always able to answer questions for me. they are THE BEST at marine electrical work i trust no one else when it comes to marine electrical and they are fast too sometimes they are slow but hey its always done right when i get it back

Always had good luck here. Had a custom cover made here for my pontoon 9 years ago an im amazed at how well its holding up. Probably will get another 15 years out of it awesome material great cover and best of all the inside of my boat looks great

Drove two hours for a new bimini top, was told they had opened the box and it was the correct one. Once we got there he cut open the box and it was a cheap aftermarket top, not the color we were promised and, most importantly, not the correct top. No apology, no acknowledgement that he had made a mistake. Wasted our entire day.

Never and I repeat NEVER take your boat here! So disappointed in the service. He kept our boat for 9 months and finally got it back to us after memorial day which made us miss a family vacation at the lake. He didnt even fix the problem. Our boat is still broke and we paid him thousands of $$ to fix it. Wasted over half out summer dealing with this BS. Do yourself a favor to go here!!

Best place in my experience i can have my boat winterized and stored in one spot!! never had a bad experience in my 13 years of doing business with rick.

Quite possibly one of the best boat shops ever!!! i know the one lady that wrote the negative review and she was trying to get something expensive for free, what a joke, disregard any one star reviews here Rick and Gabe do a great job on my plow truck and my boat, i will drive 2 hrs to get service from here.

Rick has always taken good care of my boat year after year, hell pick it up from lake Carol here and take it back for winterize and storage come summer time he will summerize and deliver for me, he puts it right back in my slip, im never using anybody else for marine service

This man is the best boat mechanic i ever had his help is great too i love going here because the place has a great home feeling rick is very knowledgeable and knows all the ins and outs hes been in this over 45 years he knows wat hes doing!!!

Man this place is awesome, i brought my trailer in for wheel bearings and they had it done within the day i dropped it off in the morning and by the time i got off work it was ready, my trailer used to make a lot of noise man ames sure took care of that that trailer never pulled smoother or rode quieter, and to top it all of he made sure all the lights were ok and set my tire presures and torqued the lug nuts, awesome.

OMG talk about good service! i brought my husbands snowplow truck here and he had it figured out and fixed in less than a day! i was expecting to be waiting for parts but he keeps it all in stock for plows what a great place im never ordering off the internet for these kind of parts im just going to come to ames

Rick has alwayd taken good care of my equipment, shure he might cost a bit more but id rather pay the extra money knowing he will take care of me if something goes wrong. And he has i all cases of something goimg wrong, taken care of me. That old saying applies everywher and to everything ya git wat ya pay for
