I first discovered HMT through a promotion they were holding in the early spring of 2020 - $30 for a 30 minute virtual coronavirus vent session. I was self-aware enough to recognize I needed therapy (major anxiety even before the pandemic) but commitment-phobic enough to never actually follow through on finding a therapist to talk to. These vent sessions seemed like the perfect opportunity to try before you buy. Stressing about the pandemic was pushing me over the edge and I felt constantly paralyzed with fear, indecision, and stress.Well, five months later I can say without a doubt that my therapy sessions with Jasmine have been some of the most positive, productive hours of my life. Im not sure why it is so helpful to me to have another person say obvious things out loud (solutions that should have been easy enough to see right in front of my face) but it has made all the difference in how I now think about and/or approach situations. Lightbulb moments occurred frequently during sessions. Jasmines warm, friendly presence made it possible to delve into uncomfortable topics and work things out in a non-confrontational and compassionate manner. Life is manageable now and that is worth everything to me.Im no longer a client because I moved out of state (licensing doesnt cross state lines, unfortunately) but the final session was centered around a mental health maintenance plan and as a result I feel comfortably prepared for the future. I cant thank Jasmine enough for everything shes helped me through and I cant thank HMT enough for adapting to the crazy times and providing a virtual option for therapy sessions. I never would have made it out of my house to an in-person session, theyve made it so easy. This is going to sound so cliché but for anyone on the fence - invest in your mental health, its so worth it. Ive recommended HMT to all my friends, everyone deserves to live their best life.
Stephanie Calvert is bias toward fathers. She does not keep good records, and her treatment is not proven. Did not have any plan for treatment and did not have a prognosis or diagnosis until ordered by the court. This woman should not be aloud to practice anything in the state of Virginia.
