Efficient, knowledgeable, communicative, well-priced, friendly, honest…what else can I say? This was one of the best service experiences I’ve ever had. Forget that extended warranty through Lowe’s — that did me no good at all. I simply can’t express how happy I am with Street Smart Services. Before he even arrived, he collected a thorough arsenal of information regarding my mower and the issues I’d had as if he were a detective of sorts. From that, he was able to narrow down the potential issues but was rather positive he knew the issue. He set my expectations as far as scheduling, but was even able to exceed that by fitting me in much earlier than expected. On the spot, he educated me and provided valuable guidance and tips which I know will save me a lot of money in the long run. While he had my mower he consistently provided updates on the parts needed, the expected arrival, when he thought it would be prepared, the prices, what was necessary versus what was optional, etc. I had absolutely no surprises or crazy sticker shock to contend with. He used genuine parts and even cleaned my messy mower! How’s that for great service? My mower worked better than it did when I first got it and was cleaner than it had been in over a year! It arrived before I even started my work day on the day he told me it would be ready! I wish all of my experiences with service could be like this. I really appreciated the fact that he was down to earth and though knowledgeable, did not use that as an opportunity to exercise arrogance. I tried YouTube tutorials and tinkering with my mower when it wouldn’t run, but I wish I had just gone straight here instead of wasting my own time! I just wanted my mower to run again, but I also got it back cleaned, with new oil/air filter/blade, and it’s running just like new! Don’t even bother with other shops. It was a bit far to take my mowers for repair, but after speaking with Sam on my repairs it sounds like it will be worth my time to take it here for repair. They were repaired in a few days and I have not had a chance to operate them as yet. I am sure they will work great.

Called looking to have someone take a look at our commercial pressure washer, and Sam called me back in about an hour. While I was disappointed that Sam wasnt able to service our particular situation due to how we have it mounted on our large truck, he was forthright and honest about it, and still took 10 extra minutes to try and offer me a diagnosis as to what the issue was. For someone who was calling to apologetically decline my business, it says a lot about someones motives when they still offer their valuable time to try and help any way that they can. I wouldnt hesitate to trust him with any service that I need done in the future!

I don’t write reviews. Ever. Matter of fact this is my first one. Sam was great!! He responded to my phone call despite being after business hours. He was able to inspect our mower, fix what was wrong, give it a tune up AND get it back to us all within 48hrs. He explained exactly what was wrong and what it would take to fix it. If you need someone to fix/maintain your mower, Street Smart is the name you need to remember.

After a recent power outage in Spotsylvania, I found my very expensive generate had turned into a very expensive hunk of junk. I keep it in the garage, out of the elements, but when it came time to use it, I couldnt get it to start. Thats when I got an appointment with Street Smart Services. Thats when I got a better education than anywhere on the web. I was treated professionally, and the owner took in the generator, diagnosed the issue, and had to order the parts for the machine.Once he got everything installed, when I went to pick up the brand new generator, he educated me on the proper storage and ease of use. I am remarkably impressed with his ability and the speed of the repair. There is NOTHING negative to report about his service. If you have a problem with your generator, dont hesitate to call. It might be the difference between being without power, and having a safe night until the lights come back on.It was MY FAULT the machine didnt work. NEVER store a generator with gasoline in the tank. Because of the 10% ethanol, it rusted the carburetor solid. I have no one to blame but myself, and he taught me how to properly store the generator for future use. Thank you for your service and attention.

When the last snow storm was predicted, I tried to start my snow blower only to find out that it was leaking fuel. I searched for someone to repair it and found Street Smart Services, and Im glad I did. Sam came and picked up my snow blower, ordered the part he needed and returned the snow blower the day after he received the part. Less than a week and just in time for the next storm. In addition to repairing the snow blower, Sam changed the oil and cleaned it up. It looks brand new. I really appreciated the speed of the repair and the thoroughness of the work. At the end of 2019, Sam picked up my Toro 22 Recycler Self-Propel Lawn Mower and a Snow Blower for an end of year / beginning of season tune-up. He brought them back two days later, started both up, and stated he added Sta-Bil to the gas to get it through the winter. It never snowed so the Snow-Blower wasnt used. In the Spring, I cranked up the Toro lawn mower which took several pulls to start (understandable). I cut the grass for a few minutes and then it started coughing and sputtering. Even the smallest clump of grass caused it to stall. Within 10 minutes, it wouldnt run at all. I called and Sam said to replace the spark plug; that it could be bad. I didnt understand why his customer satisfaction guarantee prevented him from coming out to check why the equipment he serviced wouldnt run after 10 minutes use. No, evidently thats a user responsibility, after all, he already had my money. I didnt use the lawn mower after that for the rest of the year (used my riding lawn mower instead). On May 25, 2021, I checked the Toro manual and bought a new spark plug from Amazon. When it arrived, I removed the one Sam installed, and sure enough, it started up on first pull. Sam installed the incorrect spark plug for my mower. The threads fit but it didnt fire hot enough, and fouled out after a few minutes use. He knew he installed the wrong spark plug and pointed me to replace it when I called. So much for his core values of Honesty and Excellence! I do not recommend his services!

I have used other companies for similar maintenance on my mower. It usually takes 2-3 weeks to get it back. Street Smart will get it back to you with the same week (sometimes same day). In addition, I was kept in the loop the entire time. Pricing is comparable or better than others. Highly recommend

Street Smart Services repaired my Deere lawn tractor this week and did an excellent job. He provided a fast turnaround, kept me in the loop regarding repairs and threw in some extras. Top notch operation.

When it was time to purchase a generator to use when camping, I chose the Champion 3100 gen/inverter. Thats the good news, the bad news is last year I used it for a total of about 6 hours, ETHANOL Fuel, somehow with some water in it. I called around to select the best, most experienced, and most responsive repair person. Street Smart came to the top on all elements. Sam and I discussed the problem, he came up with a game plan and we decided to move forward with the moisturizer mitigation, the carburetor removal and inspection and possibly fuel removal and tank inspection.The next day I received from Sam; as suspected: bad fuel, water in the tank, and a gummed up carburetor. Upon obtaining my approval, he ordered a new carburetor, OEM from Champion (another indication he is a consummate professional small engine mechanic). Sam was awesome on providing status updates. Today I picked up my better than new generator. He explained everything he removed and/or repaired to exceed what i had anticipated was wrong. Sam then carefully explained operation and storage procedures and professional techniques. Great experience, and i highly recommend Street Smart Services LLC for your engine repairs. Thanks Sam.
