HONEST and competent. I took my 2006 F150 in when the AC was blowing hot air. I was convinced the compressor was bad, and that it and the condenser would have to be replaced, a $3000+ job. And if they had told me that, I wouldnt have questioned it for a second. They looked at it and called me and said, no, it was just low on refrigerant, probably due to a small leak. They couldnt FIND a leak, though, so when they refilled the refrigerant, they added a dye and told me to come back in a month (no charge) to see if the dye reveals where the leak is.Point is, if they wanted to cheat me, they could have easily gotten away with it. Instead, I got off with a $400 repair bill. Will definitely go back next time a have car or truck problems.

Brought my car in for annual state inspection, having no issues AT ALL. Left with check engine light on, emission control signal light on, and VSA light on. None of which were on prior to giving them my key. They state they took pictures of vehicle before bringing back to garage, but I watched the technician get in the car and pull it to the garage WITHOUT taking pictures. They give me a picture of my dash with these lights on, but with no time stamp as requested. Obviously did not take pictures until after the damage had been done. Unprofessional, untrustworthy, and suspicious behavior. They offered to scan the vehicle, but of course that’s how they make business. Con artists at best.

This place and the people here are awesome. No other auto body wanted to install new mufflers i purchased on my 2016 mustang but they were quick to say yes and priced so well too. they did an amazing job and my car sounds so good.

Where each of the seven mechanics prior told me to come in the next or following day, the crew at Lee Hill Auto Service had me come that night — despite closing within 15 minutes. Through their lengthy experience and compassion, they were able to quickly diagnose the wobble and put a parts order in that night. They got me out the door and back on the road the very next morning; before everywhere else would’ve even looked at my problem. Support your local businesses.

The shop is clean and professional. My feeling is that the work is done correctly and to standard. They were quick and efficient. But make no mistake, they are there to make money. They will tell you every little thing that needs repaired, impressing upon you that it is critical, even if it isnt. The cost estimate I received was three times what I ended up paying elsewhere. I have access to wholesale part costs and project labor hours and the amount they charge is 4 to 5 times wholesale (3x is typical) and 2 to 3 times retail (retail is what you would pay for it at an parts house) . These cost add no value to your actual repair and do not represent the markup that is charged on labor too.

When we first came to Lee Hill Auto, it was because we had a bad experience with our last mechanic and their continued price increases. At first we were concerned about an incident with our car and the cost. Lee Hill Auto, took care of the situation. These guys are awesome, I was on I-95 south near Fredericksburg when I noticed my truck starting to pull left. I checked my onboard display and saw the problem, left rear was down 10 pounds. I stoped in at LHA and a tech promptly checked out the tire. He found a very slow rim leak on the backside of the tire. A short time later we were back on the road with confidence.

The owner, Mark is one of the few people in Fredericksburg VA that clearly knows how to run a mechanical shop property. Putting the right people in the correct places to best give you the most accurate information on your cars needs as well as making sure the customer is completely informed on not only issue or whats needed on your car but if anything they notice that could need other attention that may come along in the future so you can budget and not be surprised with an unexpected repair. A friendly and helpful staff.

I was able to get a state inspection done without needing an appointment. The staff were courteous and knowledgable. I needed a headlight replaced and they were able to get it done same day. They even offer a maintenance package that is reasonably priced which offers $5 oil changes and free state inspections for the life of the vehicle, just to name a few things covered. This package pays for itself in no time at all.

I visited Lee Hill Auto Service to check them out. The owner invited me into his office and he shared for about 20 minutes the history of his business and was very honest about the parts they use and the quality of work they do. He also gave me a tour of the shop area and I was very impressed that they use start-of-the-art equipment and they keep the shop very orderly. I decided to have them do a safety inspection knowing I already knew of issues that needed to be addressed to pass the inspection. They not only found those, but also identified other issues that needed to be fixed to pass the safety inspection plus other work that I requested them to do. They completed all the work in a very timely manner. In addition, they are very friendly and personable and really make you feel welcome. Im completely satisfied with their service and will be bringing my other automobile to them too.

We found this shop about a year ago while trying to get a vehicle inspected. Best shop hands down in the area. The staff are all super friendly and have always given us explanations and strait answers. There is definitely a reason they have won best in the burg. Will continue to use this shop for all of our vehicles from here on out.

I appreciate the friendly staff and that when they recommend service they’ll explain why. For instance, today they suggested I replace a fan belt and when I picked up the car they showed the dry rot and cracks in the old belt. They also have coffee, tea, and water for your convenience if you opt to wait in the waiting area for your vehicle.

I brought in my Chevy Trailblazer for a second opinion. The dealership said my motor mounts were cracked and failed my inspection. George was incredible helpful, looked over my car, and informed me that my car was perfectly fine! Dana was also incredibly helpful with giving information, and was super sweet! My first visit was wonderful. I called ahead with a basic inquiry and was assured it would be handled. With great patience, they tolerated my questions. Upon arrival I was greeted and assisted by Dana who really handled everything straight through. They are professional and courteous. They will handle things that are not foreseen which is nice. It seems they are geared towards the customer, which can be rare in the automotive industry where techs are paid based on the job. So I would recommend them! Especially to people who are intimidated by this sort of interaction, Dana was wonderful, even to somebody who does not know anything about cars.

2007 corvette engine light came on. They told me ahead of time that they are going to do an in depth inspection of my car along with diagnosing the engine light. Engine light was for the wrong gas cap. In depth inspection found warped rotor and some other issues that could be big problems in the future. Quote was a little shock but the 3 years 50k mile warranty makes it worth the price. I am totally satisfied with the work they did on my car. While I live in the area they will be my first choice to work on my vehicles

Took my GMC to A certified GMC Dealership for low oil pressure, I was told I needed a new engine at the cost of $7000.00. I wanted a second opinion. I went to Lee Hill Automotive and The owner Mr. Torres had my vehicle towed to his shop complimentary. He diagnosed the issue in 3 days and had my car fixed, for a fraction of what I would have spent on a new engine. I will never take my vehicle to another shop. Removing a 5 star review and replacing it with a 1 star review.When I went in for my annual inspection, I was advised that my 2018 RAV4 with 33k miles on it needed $900 worth of maintenance. Seemed fishy. I called back a week and a half later without the estimate in front of me. Dana told me I needed $1200 worth of maintenance. Seemed fishier. I told her I only had a budget of $600. She set me up for $840 worth of maintenance the next day. Still fishy. Talked to my mechanic friends and they all laughed. Most of the maintenance items were not recommended until 60k miles. I called the local Toyota dealer, they laughed. I read them a couple of the comments on the estimate. They laughed harder. I brought my car in to the dealer.Now, dealers have a bad rep, always looking to price gouge. The maintenance cost me $250. That’s $1,000 cheaper than Lee Hill quoted me.I hope they didn’t try and scam me because I’m a woman, but it’s probably because I’m a woman.Don’t do business with Lee Hill.

He helped us make sense of discrepancies in the car fax and gave us his expert opinion with regard to the value of the car. Big fan of this business. Very good communication from the staff to let me know when car is in service, ready for pick up, and inform me of issues with my vehicle. No pressure or scare tactics from the staff when suggesting recommended services. I did not require it this time, but they have offered to me a ride home when dropping off my vehicle. Highly recommend! I dont live in the area, but I was close by checking out a used car to purchase. Upon test driving the car I knew something was off but wasnt sure if it would need a major or minor fix. I brought the car to Lee Hill Auto Service and they had one of their technicians drive the car and they were able to pinpoint the issue immediately and save me from buying a car that needed work done that cost more than 1/3 the value of the car. Plus, they did all this FOR FREE, because they cared.

As a relatively new resident of Spotsylvania county, I was looking for a reliable auto repair center. The staff here comes in daily and does their job right. They are polite and honest. I’ve taken both of my vehicles here for service multiple times and left satisfied every time. Do yourself a favor and take your car here next time. There was some misunderstanding on the charges accrued on our bill by the reception person, but the owner straightened it all out with a great attitude and no problem. Staff was courteous, kind and even offered the day use of their loaner van while my vehicle got fixed. Though the loaner was a wee bit smoky smelling I was gracious to not be stranded.I was informed prior to service of my various issues (my car has over 100k miles), instructed as to which items were priority, and was given reasonable estimates for repair. Service was completed in a timely fashion. I will return if needed.

In route to NY I stopped at Lee Hill right off of I 95 in Fredericksburg, VA because my brakes were acting up. Lee Hill Auto Service is a very reliable auto shop to get your car repaired at. I have been going here ever since 2015 and I have never had a bad experience, theyve done everything from checking my car to see if it was okay to drive far away to helping my car wheel be able to turn again. My family owns a shop 2 hours away and I was just looking for a simple alignment. These guys were able to tell me they couldnt do the alignment because of other things that needed to be fixed and even let me in to take a peek under my car so I could see for myself. Me and my husband just moved to the area and wanted a place to do our oil change and we came here. The staff is so polite, respectful and explain every detail to your understanding. We will definitely come back.

We started taking our cars here when we moved south from Stafford Co. Its close and convenient, and they take great care of our older vehicles. We are very pleased with the customer service and quality of the work.We just had a vehicle fixed yesterday, and as always, Lee Hill Auto Repair took great care of us. They keep us informed every step of the way!! Stellar!!

So my father has been going here for years and all we hear in our family is Lees Hill. He raves over their service all of the time. I wished I lived in Va so I could take my car there. These people are like a trusted family doctor or a barber/beautician that you cannot live without. I am out of state and had a question about a particular car that I was trying to buy and places to go. Jeff took his time to speak with me and answer my questions/ concerns “knowing” that he would not benefit from this. I surely appreciate the world-class customer service. This is my first ever review, but I felt that this was the very least that I can do. Thank you!!

I recently took my Ranger P.U. to Lee Hill Auto for a state inspection and a regular engine service. Within 20 minutes of check-in, my vehicle was in the shop. Shortly, the front desk reported the findings of their technician including a detailed cost of needed repairs and an opportunity to speak with the technician and have him show me what was needed and why. Since the repairs wouldnt be completed until later that afternoon, I was offered a ride home and told I would be picked up and brought back to the shop as soon as the repairs were completed. The invoice total was exactly as stated and everyone involved was friendly and professional. I will continue to have my work done at Lee Hill Auto.W. Winslow, Spottsylvania, Va.
