We had a tree and stump removed as well as some pruning done. The person who came out to the property to inspect and give estimate was prompt and very professional. The office staff was very professional and responsive. The workers who did the work were very professional, courteous, and efficient. The quality of the work was exceptional. The cost was reasonable. I highly recommend!

DO NOT USE CHAPINGO! They are dangerous and very unprofessional. I used them twice. The first time to trim some trees that were very close to the house. I should not have accepted the fact that they were extremely careless as many branches hit the house when falling almost breaking my outdoor light fixtures and scraping the windows. I tried them one more time to cut down a large tree. They were to stack the wood and leave it where I could split it for fire wood. Well, the first day they showed up and said they couldn’t do it. The second day they cut down the tree and left the pieces exactly where they fell. No attempt to control where they landed. Also, several surrounding trees had their branches broken as result of the cut down tree. I had to call 4 times to have any schedule to come back and take a look. The wood is still all over the backyard. Its been over 2 weeks and still not completed. There was no attempt to rectify the situation. I definitely will never use them again.

Great onsite team. Cleaned up thoroughly as they removed trees using a lift to minimize damage to surrounding vegetation. Very nice and accommodating. Look forward to using them again.

A responsible and responsive company; gives fair prices; deals with clients professionally; their tree experts are knowledgeable; office staff are polite and professional. I have not yet had my tree work done because they are booked for the next few weeks. These are my impressions from my communications with them so far. Will do another review after the work is done.The crew did an excellent job this morning (Feb. 8, 2021). They arrived on time and began to work right away. They took good care of everything. I did sign a liability waiver. But the crew was very careful and skillful and nothing got damaged. They also cleaned up the debris thoroughly. Overall I was very pleased with their work and would recommend them to my friends who need to have tree work done.

I have used Chapingo Tree Care Specialists several times for large tree removal and most recently for shaping, trimming, thinning 3 very large and 2 smaller trees on our property and for the removal of a small nuisance tree. All work was done with thoughtfulness and care. Very very happy with Chapingo and will use them again when needed next (Washington, DC)

Excellent experience! Took down two enormous tulip poplars in a VERY tight space between two houses. I was very concerned because most of the work had to be done on my neighbors property. The cleanup was immaculate! I had a stump ground down and that team did an equally conscientious job, including replanting bushes they had had to carefully uproot to access the stump. Very very impressive company!Thats my review for the first time I used Chapingo. I gave them five richly deserved stars. Not so for my most recent experience.I had Chapingo out to grind down two stumps. The timing was critical, because the job depended on the cooperation of two neighbors and it had to be done before a fence was to be installed two days later.The job was to be done on a Monday. When the crew hadnt shown up by 4:00, I was concerned and called the office. When I called they said they couldnt do it that day, so theyd come out on Wednesday. When I explained that the fence was to be installed on Wednesday, I managed to get them to agree to doing the job on Tuesday. At 8:00 that Monday the crew showed up to my surprise, saying they couldnt do it on Tuesday so did it that evening into the darkness.BUT, they left two giant, unmovable stumps on my neighbors front lawn and a pile of debris on his side of the fence. The crew told my neighbor theyd be back to pick up the stumps the next day. That didnt happen. Eight days later after emails and phone calls -- Ive forgotten how many -- the crew picked up the stumps, leaving a circle of brown grass in the neighbors lawn. The stumps were gone, BUT the crew said they werent told about the debris. They told my neighbor another crew would be by to take care of it. An email to Chapingo about this concern went unanswered. Its been another week and the job has still not been completed. Because this is on my neighbors property, to make sure the job is actually done, Im going to have to pay my landscaper to do the job.Communication and reliability on this job, 1/2 star. The grinding itself 5 stars, and I DID appreciate the company doing the job on overtime to accommodate the fence company, even though there were many anxious moments before getting that to happen.Just made my final payment after a $50 discount as the job remained unfinished.

Chapingo is the best. I cannot say enough good things about them. They come out to your house, provide an estimate, schedule a date to do the work, arrive on time, do the work and clear out ALL DEBRIS. The workers are friendly and professional. This is the second tmie theyve done work for me and I think they are fabulous, and incredibly reasonably priced (their quote came in significantly under the other two quotes I received). You cant beat it.

Jose and his crew came out in Nov 2018. They trimmed 4 trees, 2 of which are very large and have branches reaching into neighbors yards. A third tree was a dogwood that is in the middle of my deck. It is old and slowly dying. Jose provided suggestions on how best to trim it so as to encourage growth where the tree could still bloom and his suggestions were spot on. The team did a great job, were very careful with how branches fell, and the trees have been doing great ever since! We have had a number of wind storms since Nov 2018 and only one large branch has fallen in that time.

Excellent work. They were very knowledgeable about identifying trees and the best course of trimming/removal. It took a little while to get me on their books, but I think this is because they are very busy. I think they are very busy because they do such great work. I cannot say strongly enough that it was worth the short wait time in order to get the fantastic customer service that I got. They quoted me a very good price and delivered on exactly the job on the invoice. I should have called them years ago before the trees around my house got so big and messy. Now I will call them for an annual service.

They were referred by a good friend. Their customer service is amazing. Erick came out to provide a quote and he educated me on a few things to consider as well as some ideas for tree replacement. He was very knowledgeable and trustworthy. Did not oversell at all, but spoke from experience. The job was scheduled for 3 weeks out, but with an option to stop by on the fly if they had time to do it after another job......they showed up the next day!!! Tree was cut and they left zero debris. May have been cleaner than when they got there. Truly professional.It was a very positive interaction compared to the other quotes I received. The individuals who cut the trees were very polite and helpful. They did an excellent job. Mr. Jose Alvarez, the arborist, was very knowledgeable, and the prices were very reasonable. This is the second time I had Chapingo come this year, and my neighbor also had them cut more than 15 trees.

Chapingo Tree Care responded promptly to my initial inquiry, gave me a fair estimate for the tree removal that I needed, and got the job done when they said theyd do it. The trees they removed were large, dead, and on the border with my neighbors property. Chapingo cut the trees without impacting my neighbors lawn or mine. They removed all the wood from both trees and left the area clean and tidy. Id recommend them to anyone. (And one of my neighbors down the street says he relies on Chapingo for trimming and removing trees on a number of properties he owns).

This is the third time in 5 years that weve used Chapingo. All have been excellent experiences. The tree work done is first rate at a very reasonable price. Today Chapingo Tree Care Came over to remove an Elm Tree.They were there at the time they stated. There work was EXCELLENT.The employees were very friendly and courteous. They removed all of the debris and cutting from the yard. They raked and Cleaned up any remaining wood chips. They even helped my neighbor load some of the cuttings for firewood. I would HIGHLY recommend.

Chapingo raised its prices almost 100% since the last time. Do not use them they are way overpriced now.

Chapingo did an outstanding job taking down a huge maple tree in my yard that had died over the winter. Then they ground out the huge stump. They did all of the work in one day, in tremendous heat and humidity. They removed all of the wood and shavings, leaving the site perfectly level with my existing lawn. And they did all of this within two feet of mydeck and ornamental plantings and did not injure them in any way. They were simply amazing-I cannot recommend them enough. Anyone who needs tree work should contact them immediately.

Id give them 10 stars if I could. They are that good!It was a big dead tree in a very tight spot. A crew came out within an hour after the owner gave me the estimate. They put two ropes on everything they cut. They lowered the tree pieces to the ground with absolute precision, but did the job quickly.No damage to the shrubs, handrails, Koi pond or swimming pool below the tree.Their clean up is excellent and their price was very reasonable.

They chopped off all the lower branches of my backyard trees so the house is completely exposed. No privacy. The plan the guy told me was to leave those branches for privacy, but they cut all of them. We are not happy with the result.

My neighbor recommended Jose Alvarez and Chapingo Tree Care Specialists to me, and I have already recommended them to other friends. They did a fabulous job. I really could not be more pleased. The office staff was very helpful and quickly setup an appointment. Salvador came out to scope out the project and to give me an estimate for the work. I needed a variety of tree work done so he gave me an hourly rate .I was impressed with the entire team. Francisco was highly skilled in driving and navigating the aerial bucket on the bucket truck. He pruned a very large Sawtooth Oak which was spreading over the house. I pointed out the branches I wanted removed. Francisco then continued to prune dead branches from the interior of the tree and to shape the tree so it was properly balanced. The team then removed large branches from several Bradford Pears which hung over the driveway. Jose and Raul quickly chipped the branches and then proceeded to cut down a 16 foot Silver Mist Deodar Cedar, remove two dead cherry trees and to trim back two other deodar cedars. The team also shaped and pruned a purple plum, topped and trimmed a Nellie Stevens holly, cleaned up an Oklahoma Red Bud and removed a large branch from a maple.The three man team worked very efficiently together. It was clear that they were there to do a good job and to please the customer. Whatever I mentioned, they quickly took care of it. The job required using the bucket truck, a chipper, chain saws and a stump grinder. All the equipment was first rate. The original quote was for 6 hrs but as we walked over the property, I found other trees that needed work so it turned out to be a total of 8 hours . I asked them to remove the chips but I wanted to keep some of the logs. Everything was “no problem”. They did a great job for a very fair price. I highly recommend the service and will definitely use them again .
