I had got brand new cowboy boots for my wedding…I didn’t get wide calf. When they came in I was almost in tears. I brought them in and needed them stretched almost 3 inches. The man was super nice letting me know he will do everything he can but that’s a lot to stretch is such a short time. Came back a week later and they FIT PERFECT!! The man was so nice! I couldn’t have asked for anything more!

The service and craftsmanship were terrible. I paid 120.00 for them to dye my shoes and when I say awful job. Do not go and do not waste your money.

I took my purse to Marlon to fix...my strap broke. He explained to me how if he did it one way what it would look like opposed to the simplest way. I went with the simple route bc I wanted my strap fixed ASAP...did not want to wait a long period of time. When I picked it up I was very please and happy with his work. Im glad that he informed me of everything bf I made my decision. He has a very nice sense of humor and was very nice. I would recommend him to anyone! I will be going back in the future. Loved the fact that I was informed bf I made any decisions. Thx Buddy.....#MCM

I brought a pair of boots to be fixed they say that they open at 11:00 I have been here waiting for 15 minutes so far and no one is here to give me my boots . I have called and the phone doesn’t get forwarded apparently plus you have to pay upfront do I basically paid 30.00 for a repair and they aren’t here when they say they are going to open.

Been back several times. Have always found them good to work with and they will work through most any issue. If one takes the time to listen to the solution, you have the opportunity to decide for yourself whether or not to proceed with the repair.I have always been satisfied and will continue to ask them for their services.

ZERO is what this should say. Last year took a pair of shoes to be dyed. It took 4 attempts to get to the right color, over several weeks. Terrible lack of communication on this shops part, to me. $25, reasonable charge, too long a time. This year took another pair in to be dyed. New guy working there. Asked him to dye the shoes. He looks at me, lays them down & said probably not. I asked why. He said the cost ... I said last year it was $25. Then he goes into a diatribe about the former fellow that he fired. Then I asked price, then ... he says $75. I left with my shoes.I then went to Quality Shoe Repair on Market St., Frederick. What a fabulous place. The gentleman had a very professional attitude, $35 price & did a wonderful job in the time (short) that was needed.

Deserved a 0. I was recommended to go here to have a purse strap repaired. They unnecessarily replaced an entire loop of the purse and the stitching was crooked. The thread isnt the same color as the purse, nor did they try to match it, and its on the front where its most visible. They then reinforced the other strap on the back which did turn out straight. When I asked why they stitched it crooked on the front he just kept repeating that they did the back reinforcement free of charge. And added that leather is difficult to stitch through, but is that not your business? If you advertise to be professionals I expect an actual good job. I will definitely recommend that people find somewhere else to go.

Repaired my Carolina boots that had the leather sole pulling away from the boot. Reglued the sole, and tacked in new leather to hold everything in place. Great looking job, and like new again. Repaired the pair for $40 in just a few days. Id go back there again for sure!

Have been going to this place since the late 1970s, happy to say that while the owner has changed the new one does even a better job. Brought in an old lifeless falling apart pair of cowboy boots to have the falling apart fixed. While the old owner would grumble around his cigar a lot he would do a great job on the falling apart. The new owners fixed the falling apart even better and then went on to the old and lifeless aspects by conditioning and polishing to a mirror (for these boots ill call it a mirror) shine. Held back one star because Im old and miserable and think everything cost too much anymore, they were reasonable, God save us, like I said im just miserable. Go there if you care for the shoes or boots and you want more like new life out of them.

Totally agree w previous review-Take your business to someone who will do a decent job, and not give you a nasty attitude in the bargain: avoid this one!Not only did they not do what they promised to do (they put silver hooks instead of goldtone ones), when I pointed out that the hooks looked like cheap plastic, not the metal hooks promised, the store rep started arguing w me, suggesting I try breaking them w my hand if I think theyre made of plastic-tired of this reps belligerent attitude, I merely told him to take back the hooks, and return my money ($37.00 for two cheap looking hooks!!!): this is when the rep REALLY GOT NASTY, snapping @me to give him my credit card, telling me I wasnt going to be pleased, no matter what!Again, go somewhere else for decent work and to be treated w a little respect.

This was my 2nd trip to the Cobblers Bench at FSK Mall in Frederick,MD. He said it would take 30 min., I told him I had some errands to run first. I came back at 4:15on, I found a handmade sign on the counter saying hed be gone for 15 min. Well, 40 min. later the guy returns like its okay. Maybe buy a sign with a clock to say when youre really returning and drop the attitude. Ill be searching for a new shoe repair business.
