I’ve been a member of the Franklin YMCA for about 15 years. Over that time many of the staff members are still there, and all of the new ones are incredibly supportive, there are great instructors, and so many classes it’s hard to choose from them. I loved Franklin YMCA!

Great Family atmosphere. Staff is very well managed. Very clean facility. Wonderful personable staff that are kind and caring. Happy to be in a place with good moral, values and a religious belief system.

Audria who is our fitness instructor is patient, but also offers super intensive classes for all fitness levels. Shes Amazing! So is the YMCA and the entire Y family.

Very nice place for people that want a family friendly community. As well as good membership options. They have everything you need. An overall great community and very welcoming!

Christina at the Customer Service is very helpful. We rejoined the club today. She explained membership benefits and various programs.

I love the classes! The equipment in the cardio and weights area is great! The staff are friendly and helpful. I like to work out in the evenings and the hours of operation are a good fit for me. The facilities are clean and well maintained.

Made a call several weeks ago about purchasing personal training sessions, when I follow up, they tell you to call back later. Terrible and unprofessional serviceHave caught them using light scales, YMCA has a history of getting sued for lying to personal training clients, because they used light scales.Members are rude and embody the Franklin stereotype. Have had other members and condescend to me for zero reason. Members will bring YOUNG children into the adult locker rooms, even though they have family locker rooms. Hey I get it you dont care about your children, but others dont want to undress infront of little kids.

I want the weight loss reimagined to return .We started 2/7/2020 . It was going great and lots of support . When the Pandemic hit it was shut downand we never heard from the leader oranyone since. We still tried walking in neighborhoods.We is my daughter and me.We managed to cont what we had learned . We began to slip as the weather changed . And the Holidays food of Thanksgiving, Christmas overwhelmed us. We lost our battle against weightloss. The Worst was when we heardnothing from our leader . I feel like what hurt us was no follow up.😢

Always very friendly service! They live up to their name as the Family YMCA. I also feel very safe knowing that the lifeguards there are the absolute best in the area and take their care seriously while being very friendly and fun with the members. A membership is like buying your way into a new family to help you grow your body and your faith.

Great gym, lots to offer. Huge indoor and outdoor pools that are attended by lifeguards. Best gym in Franklin, IMHO.

My time here is always different sometimes staff is very nice other times they are rude

The staff is warm and friendly and take time to get to know you on a personal basis. They genuinely want to support you on your wellness journey. The YMCA is kept clean and it is cost effective.

I love all of the classes that I attend and the childcare is wonderful! I love how all of the ladies know my daughters name when we walk in. Also, I love that there is no TV in the play area for the little ones. My daughter learns how to interact with other kids instead of being put in front of a screen. I know it can get really crazy in there sometimes but they really do a great job.

The Y in Franklin is a great value

We, as Seniors, have enjoyed many years of exercising for fitness at the Y through the Silver Sneakers program. Since the Tennessee Y has decided they arent getting enough money for the program ( the only Y in the country that I know of that is cutting the program for Seniors) my family and friends will now attend a different fitness facility that will accept Silver Sneakers. In addition, we no longer plan to contribute our yearly donation to the YMCA.

Great to work out in the therapy pool if you have arthritis or you are doing physical therapy - 88 degrees. It is a great way to work out with water resistance. There are multiple classes in the morning during the week, so it will work in your schedule. The hot tub, sauna, and steam room are a real plus, too. I have made so many new friends at the Y that I would have never met. There are also many workout and yoga classes. Love it, work out 5 days per week. Check it out!!❤

Nice facility with multiple pools, saunas, whirl pool, large workout area with machines and free weights. Lots of cardio equipment, two studios for yoga, aerobics etc. Small basketball court with a running track above it. Also has a kids area with counselors to watch over the little ones while you sweat!

Joining the Y has been one of the best decisions we have made as a family. The kids love coming and ask to go all the time which keeps me motivated to go myself!

The Franklin Family Y is a wonderful, welcoming place with a wide variety of people. Friendly faces greet you; other members make the trip to exercise fun and worth it. Even if you are not terribly social, being at the Y fills the soul as you take care of your health by exercising. We have made the best of friends there!

Great place for multiple Power Yoga classes. Very knowledgable instructors.

My family is visiting Franklin for the month of June and I have been visiting the YMCA to work out while my older kids are at camp. My youngest, my three-year-old son, has gone to the child care about 5 times now. He was never overly excited to go, which was weird to me because he usually is very excited about play areas. Unfortunately, yesterday I received a message that he needed snuggles so I went to the play area and he was sitting alone, holding his arm, and crying. After assessing him, I took him to urgent care to find out that he had a fractured elbow. I don’t think the childcare had any clue that he was this severely injured. I know accidents happen... I am mainly bothered by the fact that they couldn’t even tell me exactly what happened to him or knew it was so severe. So so sad and huge bummer for our vacation. We will not be going back to the Y and trusting their childcare.

Been a member here for years, going out of the country and tried cancelling via email and phone and they waited till after it charged me another month for them to cancel. They couldve easily refunded the money to fix the issue, really a question of integrity on their part specifically,C

Love the Franklin YMCA. Im there every weeknight and have been going for a number of years. I workout there but Ive made a lot of friends too.

Excellent in all aspects!

I really like the gym and the facility but my girlfriend visited 9 hours from out of town and I drove to the Y to find out what I needed and how to sign her in so we could workout together. I drive home, brought back my girlfriend and they had neglected to tell she needed to bring a Photo Id. Which normally wouldnt upset me, but the same women I asked went out of their way to tell me that it said it on the door. I didnt appreciate them being rude about it when I had just been in there asking them. Sure its on the door and realistically common sense but I had just asked them for that information.

The staff here is wonderful and eager to help. We have 3 kids, so we use the childcare. Our kids enjoy coming here, as do I. I have no hesitation about leaving my kids in the care of the capable staff.

WORST SERVICE!I had registered for a private swim lesson about 3 weeks ago and I was told that there is no waiting list for private swim lessons and I was asked to pay immediately for the swim lessons and I was told that I will get a call to schedule swim lessons.1.5 weeks passed I did not hear from anyone. I called YMCA, spoke with director and she told me that their outdoor pool is not functional and hence they were not able to schedule me. Well, the outdoor pool was not functional even the day I enrolled and paid for swim lessons, they ideally should have told me upfront that they cannot schedule me immediately. Director told me that she has put me on the top of list and someone will call me soon.One more week past, I did not receive even a single call, I tried reaching director multiple times, always reached voice mail, left multiple messages on voice mail but did not hear from anyone.Few more days past, I called again and the person who picked up my phone again asked me if she can transfer my call to director, I said there is no point as I never get response for the messages I leave on voice mail. She assured me that she will personally talk to Director so that I will get a callback...I called next day and reached same person at reception who told me that she will personally talk to director, Well, she did personally talked to Director but even after that nobody bothered to call me...Few more days past no luck, finally I called YMCA and asked them for a refund, I was told that my refund will be processed soon, few more days passed I am still waiting for a refund.Updated on 7/5I called them again as I did not get refund, they asked me If I could be transferred to Director (same old story), I said no thank you, whats the status on my refund. I was put on hold for couple of minutes and finally they said that they have already processed my refund, I asked tell me date and time when the refund was processed, they said while I was on hold :). I just hope I get the refund now............I am absolutely disappointed with YMCA and will never ever recommend any of my friends to ever go to this place where customers are not valued

Water classes on time. Good atmosphere.

I just got back from being deployed and I was excited to keep my fitness up. My wife talked to me about going to tour the Franklin YMCA. The facility looked great and the staff seemed great the night we went.The first day we went I was showing my wife around some equipment in the gym (which was very nice and well-kept). There are these cubbies which are right at the entrance to the gym, and we both put the things that were in our pockets in them. Included in these items were both of the cases for our air pods. After we had finished looking around the gym (about 20 minutes) my wife went to get her phone to listen to music and saw that one of the air pods cases was missing. We went to the front desk to ask if maybe someone had turned it in, and also to the member service desk. They all replied that nothing had been turned in. The member service desk then replied “well they will probably turn up”.I then said “Ok. What if it doesn’t? Are there no cameras anywhere that can see that area?” They replied there were not. Seeing that I was not satisfied with that answer, they walked with us to the aforementioned cubby area and moved other people’s things to see if it was beihnd there. It was not.This was my first time working out inside this YMCA and after paying the new membership fees, I was a victim of theft in the first hour of being there. No recourse was offered to me from the employees besides “hope it turns up”. This is woefully poor customer service and the first month of membership costs has essentially tripled for me, as I now am going to replace the stolen items.

This place is my safehaven and escape destination!! I am single mom to 3 kids, work 30 hours, and go to school online full time. The only thing I do for myself (and feel spoiled rotten doing it) is go to the Y for a great workout, steam, and dip in the hot tub, and always grab a peppermint hot tea on my way out! And for the times I have the kids with me my toddler goes to daycare, and LOVES it, and my two older kids go swimming, and LOVE it. I LOVE it too! Thank you YMCA.... now if we could get one in Spring Hill that would be an awesome bonus ♡♡♡♡

Got free pass .. so thought family and i woild try..what a horrible horrible experience..staff very unfriendly and lost. No one showed us anything. Life guard almost drowned my daughter. Tried to get a convo with manager or anyone regarding how things worked. No call back. You have to apart some upscale group to be apart this place.

One of the executive was very good. But, the other one was not helping.

This is a family gym but we didnt get a child friendly atmosphere here. Very biased and judgemental.We would prefer Y of another area. Probably this location hires low standard people.

I run a karate class here at the YMCA, and it is the perfect place to do it. The entirety of the YMCA staff is bright and cheerful, not to mention helpful.
