When we went about planning our 3-day North and South Indian fusion wedding, food was at the top of our list. As you can imagine, we shopped around extensively for vendors. Godavari was one of the best decisions we made for our Indian wedding. First, we were completely blown away by the friendliness, care, and attention of the head, Raj Kalavala, who was sincere in his commitment to delivering on our wishes. He was also the most reasonable in terms of pricing and accommodating all our dietary needs, with a menu representing the full spectrum of Indian dishes.Raj uncle gave us everything we wanted, and it was clear that he worked very hard to deliver on all of our needs. Our wedding was not an easy one to cater either, with multiple outdoor venues that required specific adjustments. He went above and beyond. We absolutely LOVED working with him, and his food received rave reviews, particularly the non-veg options at our reception. We are honored to be his first wedding, and we wish him and his catering team at Godavari only the best in what I am sure will be a long line of weddings and catered private events to come.
Service was great. Salad and fruit were fresh. My favorites are tomato dal, butter chicken, rasam soup, naan, biryani (both vegetables and goat were great with curry). Shrimp majestic was great.Desserts: Conaseema curd rice, fruit custard, and a must try is mango semiya kheer (my best favorite dessert). Plenty of parking spots. :)Recommended to try this place 👍
Had wonderful dinner buffet arranged by my company.around 50plus people visited for corporate buffet with customerized menu itemsFood items are authentic south Indian style with spicy levels and all items we felt fresh and hot..Only one items felt bad s raita in which salt is more..4 briyani items were kept and two south Indian tiffin items..Overall we had good time.
Amazing food and service. We had ordered twice for small functions and they delivered enough food for the party. Their malai kofta ks delicious. The delivery was on time. I would definitely recommend it.
This spot is worth visiting. They have big portions for affordable prices. Always well organized and with awesome vibes. Will come back again.
Excellent Authentic Biryani . If you have a desi taste bud, this is the place !
The best South Indian restaurant in this area. So far we have tried many other Indian restaurants nearby but I would say this one beat the rest. Yummy food. Loved every items in their buffet and options are more in desserts too. Highly recommended if you like South Indian food. Thanks Godavari to take us back to India for a while...
Amazing place, very tasty food. The place was getting closed, even then they managed to quickly put up food for us.A must place to go again.Chicken 65 was amazing. Love the hospitality and service.
Ive tried all many of the Indian Restaurants in the area and Godavari is my favorite. Ive had sit down dinner and it was delicious and their lunch buffet is always on point. They always have a large selection of flavorful food to choose from. I love that they have a few crowd favorites that play all the time but the buffet menu changes regularly. Check it out and tip your server in cash
We order Mysore dosa and veg curry The food was truly great and service was remarkable. The servers were very friendly and the food was excellent. Worth every penny !
Coming back from finger lakes we stopped for dinner. It was little late so few items were not available, our waiter was kinf enough to let us know that in advance. We ordered few appetizers and main course. Every items was delicious. I loved prawn fried and mutton chops.Main courses were great too. I will visit it again.
Excellent service. Food is great. I love their appetizers and hospitality. They recommend you as per your taste what you like. Worth to visit and have experience
Amazing. Simply brilliant. There was amaze ambiance of top Hindi hit music. The Sridevi Fruit Custard was so good that I asked them to pack some for me. Some of the dish names sounded made up like Dindigal Talpakattu Veg Palao but the full uncut limes in the large fish dish tasted very lemony. Overall good experience.
Had lunch buffet here after about an year+, food was great with plenty to choose from. Had a great lunch. The only ding was it was a bit cold inside.
The food is real yummy. The service is very efficient and courteous. 5 stars.
Best biryani in the town. Great ovation, nice ambience and very good service. Would highly recommend
I celebrated my kids birthday party here yesterday. The service and food is really great. Would definitely recommend to anyone who wants to celebrate some special occasion.
This restaurant has decent food but they don’t respect people’s time. I ordered from this place and after an hour of waiting for the food to be delivered, they canceled the order. No call, no explanation. I called to find out if they ran out of what I wanted and the guy tells me they’re busy right now. Like what the hell kind of customer service is that? I won’t be ordering from here again.
Amazing place. I’m from East Godavari and food tastes truly authentic. Servers are too cool! Would definitely recommend for proper Telugu food!
We ordered for a party. Though the order was delivered late by an hour, all the items tasted great. One of the best in the chain of godavari restaurants.
My friend and I went there for lunch buffet. She liked all the vegetarian dishes and I liked the goat curry the best. We have a lot to talk about and they let us stay there log after we finished lunch. It was really nice that we did not feel urged to get out.
We celebrated 1st birthday of our little ones @ Framingham Godavari. Food was awesome and all of our guests enjoyed food over there. Plenty of options in veg and non veg food
Best restaurant in Boston!!!we have been there last week after we visited zoo...we loved the ambiance and the food especially goat biryani and mango ice cream with coconut....they didnt charge for all the kids and provided us extra boxes to carry the food for kids....its really so kind of them because we had to travel for 4hours it was really helpful for us....a big thanks to the staff!!!!coming to price and buffet its just awesome food and reasonable price...
A good, quiet place to enjoy your weekend lunch. Really liked the buffet, they have plenty of vegetarian options to relish, price was reasonable. Would love to try this place again.
Great restaurant. Amazing food and service. Must visit.
Highly recommend eating here. Very good, fast and friendly staff. The garlic naan Wow.
It was really amazing place we got to organize my Son’s Birthday party.Staff was nice, friendly and helpful and food was awesome.Highly recommend this placeThank you
The staff is super helpful and understanding. The food is amazing as well as makes you taste buds a trip to india.Must visit in town.
Have been to Godavari Framingham couple of times and overall experience was good. The lunch buffet has good options to choose from. Overall good food. Would definitely recommend!
Great food and service. Authentic South Indian food, Biryani and appetizers were very good
One of the good restaurants i ate. Best buffet i ate in recent times. Taste of biryani was awesome. Been there three times with my friends in last month. The best south Indian food i would refer to taste.
The Channa Masala was incredible!!!! The Chicken Tiki Masala was savory and just out of this world delicious! This is the BEST INDIAN FOOD I HAVE EVER HAD!! Definitely worth a visit. I am excited to say that I will be going back there very soon 😊
Best food and best service in Framingham area!Nice hospitality and Great hosting .!.!
One of the Best South Indian Cuisine around Boston! And it was a great experience with their service and the ambience!Watched world cup cricket match with buffet! Also their À la carte is pretty delicious with decent price!
Surely a spot worth stopping over, the food is excellent and well prepared, the prices are reasonable and it is consistently clean here. Keep up the good work.
Excellent Food. Good service. People are so respectful. I strongly recommend.
Ive been to many Indian restaurants in my area and I have to say this is the most authentic South -Indian restaurant !The food was very great here. They have catered for my sons first birthday party all the guests enjoyed the food especially goat sukka our non Indian friends loved that. We cannot recommend this restaurant enough and without a doubt will be there again!Overall I can say - This is definitely a place that should not be missed if you are looking for authentic Indian food.
Good food. Limited vegetarian food for buffet. Sometimes room temperature is cold and not properly controlled.
Delicious southern Indian food! Friendly service. Ill definitely be back.
Extremely tasty food. It was my first time here so I selected something I was familiar with, chicken tikka. Their tikka was delicious.
It was my first time having Indian food... they really walked me through what to order they were nice and courteous. i had a great time and a great experience will be coming back again!!
Chef who prepares food in this restaurant, thinks that customer can even eat garbage. No consistency in the dish preparation, one time you may get the taste you want, next time it will totally different and third time you may think that the management is taking for granted that they are best and their food is sold no matter what. If you staying Framingham for travel or even if you are local, take some effort to go and try some other Indian restaurant.
Amazing food! One star off for lack luster service
Very good food: delicious options that lots of Americanized restaurants wont make. Id rate five stars, but the service was pretty bad. It was rare for someone to come to the table to check up on us, so we waited a lot when we wanted to order or get the check. Also, they twice came over to deliver dishes we hadnt ordered. The first time we werent quite sure so we accepted it (and it was quite yummy), and the second time we told them it was for someone else. The first one found its way into the bill.
This is one of the few places that offer part of the restaurant for dinner/lunch functions. We celebrated a surprise wedding anniversary with about 20 people back in October. The manager and staff were absolutely wonderful. (Great service makes all the difference) They made the process easy, they even decorated the place and gave my parents flowers when they walked in to the surprise. They have a very wide selection of foods so that everyone leaves happy. (ie. Accommodates for people who are vegetarian, there is spicy and non-spicy options, and a number of different plates to try). Overall, very happy with the service and there is a great variety of food. Everyone who attended enjoyed the food!
It “WAS” once a good place to eat. I guess as they become popular, they forgot about customer service. I have had bad experiences with them through grub hub in the past year ( at least 4-5 times). They would say delivery time 45-60 mins and deliver after 1 1/2 hours and everything right it will be a cheeky grin and sorry sir. Today, I thought I would give them anther chance and ordered. Lo and behold, they have not changed. After 30 minutes of me ordering online, I was sent an email saying your order has been cancelled. It was around 8.30 PM and we had to order some other place. It shows how much they lack in customer service. No more Godavari for me- Sad they are not like how they used to be. If you guys ever read this remember to keep customers as king. I know it’s hard for you now but please try!!!!
Excellent and really reasonably priced lunch buffet. Only feedback is that it would be great to have a bit more information about each of the dishes for those who arent super savvy on the different types of Indian food (like me!)
Nice food. I want their for kinds birthday party i liked it. Staff was very friendly.
We ordered take away from Godavari this evening and was very happy. The Malia Kofta was quite good and the Buttered Chicken was quite good as well. It was also nice to get some dosa as well as naan as we like them both. I will have to visit the location to actually eat in the dining room.
If you are planning to order from this restaurant, please dont!Ordered on Grubhub at 8:30PM on 10/28/2019, on the app it said the delivery can be expected between 9:40-9:50PM. We called up the restaurant at 9:45PM to check and they confidently said the driver left and should arrive in 15 minutes. The food never arrived and the order was cancelled at 11:30PM, leaving us hungry and sleepless. Most horrible delivery experience ever. This seems to be a consistent issue with this restaurant, based on the Grubhub reviews, we did a mistake by not checking them. So if you are looking to order food from here, I strongly suggest you to look for other options.
Buffet is decent but not the best, we have been to Framingham location on Sunday. Not very crowded/busy as Woburn one, options seemed less compared what they were initially during the starting days of restaurants. Suppliers took a while in filling the items that are over stating it’s getting ready. Not really happy about that. Food is good but not up to mark and selection seemed limited
Had the buffet. Some dishes are very spicy while some were very sweet. The Chicken Biryani was tasty overall. The deserts were not very good and definitely not authentic
I liked the place a lot. Food was good and authentic!
On Friday, I talked to a smart pants on the phone whose job was to intimidate a customer instead of taking orders. He was insisting on not to tell the cost of our order, and make humiliating comments in reply to our questions. Just unacceptable!
The food is amazing the people are nice I loved it here, definitely gonna come again this is my number one spot for life!
Good for a quick meal. Their lunch buffet is a great value for what you get.Nothing to write home about but hits the spot when youre craving Indian cuisine.
Great food! Out server, Naresh was very friendly and offered us a really good service!
Food is good; then lunch buffet is solid, if not stunning. Service is good enough. No complaints. I will go back.
More authentic that other Indian restaurants in the area... so says my Indian coworker. Whether Im an Indian food connoisseur or not, this is definitely on par with the best Ive tasted. Spicy! Definitely going to be a repeat customer.
Scrumptious! I am over the moon from happiness. I just moved from Dubai and Indian food is very popular there and this restaurant definitely satisfied my Indian food craving. It is mild spicy but the delicious-come-again-mild-spicy ♡________♡. The Samosa and biryani!! My husband and I went at dinner timing therefore it is not buffet. From 12:30 to 3:30 it is buffet. However the prices are affordable and believe me you will not finish your plate and request it for takeaway!
Place is very small and was very crowded. It took good 20 minutes in buffet line before I reached to the first station to get food. It was on the spicy side even for a south Indian. Food quality was kind of ok compared to other restaurants in this area which has much better quality. Food was so heavy that had full feeling until night!
I have been going to this place for the past 10 years. Till one year ago or more, the food and service used to be good. I had always seen lots of people during lunch buffet. Now a days the food taste horrible and the service is not good, the place is empty. The food sits there for a long time like korma, tikka Masala etc.. the top layer becomes dark and thick. They are very rude while taking orders on the phone. The waiters are on their cell phones even while the customer is paying the bill at the cashiers, speaking in their own mother tongue on the phone, which look really very rude disrespectful. This restaurant has to improve the food quality and do better service. Otherwise, they are going to loose all their regulars as there are so many Indian restaurants are coming up in and around that area.It is only a suggestion, because I am a big fan and regular customer of your restaurant.
Very good Indian restaurant! My colleagues and I were impressed with the variety of dishes and saw quite a few that were different from the other Indian restaurants that weve frequented recently. Highly satisfied with taste and quality.
Among other south Indian restaurants in the new England area this is the best. Very cooked meat to tender juicy and balanced out the Indian flavors very well. Its a must try place is ur on the way to Boston or near there. Staff is very friendly and shows the true Telugu hospitality of being nice friendly. Keep up the good work and bring more such dishes to the menu.
Buffet was not good. There was variety of food for veg and non veg but food quality was not good. Counters are not manged. Food pots were empty and nobody came to refill and it was just 2 pm. We had been in Godavari cumberland several times, they always have best food and quality with fast service but this branch is definitely a big NO.
Coming here for the first time. My kind of food. Everything is very spicy and tasty. Andhra style. Very good service. Good selection of songs being played...
Top notch food. Excellent customer service. Generous proportions. Perfect amount of spice/heat.
Food is decent- try the biryani, service is quick
Food was great. This is the first time I had authentic Indian food in the greater boston region.
One of the best biryanis Ive had. Made me feel the taste of home. Very good service!
Food was good and we would like to visit again.
Good Indian food if you in the nearby area. They also provide catering option. I had ordered food from them for birthday party & it was very good.
The food was average, even though the menu was expansive. Even the buttermilk was diluted and weak. Its a good place to go if you want to sample exotic sounding (and sometimes stupid. Geometry Dosa?) Indian fares, but this wont bring back memories of home.
Good indian food restaurant. Decent place. Spicy south indian food place. Ample parking and easy hop in and hop out.
Awesome and fresh food, I liked the vibes the place has, and the employees were super friendly. I will surely eat here again.
Its new location opened on 14th Jan 2017. Its South Indian restaurant. It has spicy as South Indian food should be or close to that level. But not organized. No place for waiting seating. Not good seating arrangement. Not properly coordinated. And place is small . For South Indian non vegetarian dishes is good but North India items are not as per standard. Its OK to give try. Spice level is close to South Indian dishes. Little bit spicy. Sweets are OK.
It was my first time visit. Went for lunch buffet. I was surprised by the huge variety of dishes served. And all tasted amazing. Will definitely go again.
Service is not good. My daughter have cold I told ask for warm water but he said here all water come from tap in same temperature which is cold..... I dont mind on that but now time is 4.17 a.m from 30 clock onwards she started cough we lost sleep IM really unhappy to write this review but I dont what to happen to 😰😰 this any one .
Love the biriyani. Awesome people too
Brunch is good. Decent variety. But can feel a little crowded inside and sometimes the smell of food sticks to your clothes after.
Food was excellent! When there was a minor problem with a side order, the comped us for it without us asking. Very good food, very accommodating.
Ambience is awsome. Nice place to have a family party.
Pleasantly surprised with the lunch buffet. Everything was pretty tasty
Best Indian food I could ever eat in the US, feels really authentic! No fake recipes to Americanize Indian food, most legit way to experience different varieties and dishes.
We came to Godavari for dinner and loved the the food and the service. Their chicken dum biryani is an absolute must! Can’t wait to go back to Godavari again to try their buffet!
Have placed delivery order at 7 PM. they said it will take an hour or 70 minutes. I was fine. After an hour called them they said another half an hour sir. Fine. After 90 minutes of placing an order I called them again, they again said 30 more minutes and missed my order ? What the hell. My kid was so hungry he slept without dinner. I felt so bad. Pathetic delivery service. I suggest not to place delivery orders...
Love the dosas here . Service is good and the waiters are very nice and warm and make sure you get a good service
Great food with a variety of dishes and flavors unlike many northern Indian restaurants. Must try the Dosas. About my 5th trip for dinner here, but this time no liquor license because ownership changed. They say they will have license in about a month. I have not tried their extensive lunch buffet.
Super. Hosted my daughters birthday party there and found it very good. Friendly staff and good food.
