This gym has been getting worse and worse. They “remodeled” it about a year and a half ago before COVID started. All they did was move machines around and change one area. The staff are not the best and when choosing a membership all they care about us money. Go somewhere else

The gym is extremely crowded now after they changed it from LA Fitness to Esporta. The reason they told me they changed the name was because they would convert to a 24/7 service, which still hasn’t happened after a year. Esporta is now just a cheaper option which makes it way more packed now.. I come at the last hour or two before they close and I still have to wait for machines and the parking lot is still very dense. It’s not the same as it used to be; I’d recommend going elsewhere less packed unless you want to gym right when they open every day.

I’ve only been here a month (8/20/21) and I’ve had an awesome experience. The staff is very welcoming, especially the personal trainers. The trainers here make me feel comfortable despite me being a beginner. Michael Téllez and Hung Bui helped me

DONT GO TO THIS GYM! The machines are never monitored and some are rusty (leg press machine, lat pull down machine, some cable machines, etc.) They only fix the machines until they are completely broken. Staff is terrible and some are not helpful at all. The dumbell rack isnt in order and dumbells are all over the place. Some dumbells are even at the cable machines! The staff told me that they are going to have the gym 24 hours starting July but has still not turned 24 hours yet. I asked the manager and told me that he doesnt know if they will even turn into 24 hours anymore!

Nice facility, staff is nice . A little too pushy at sales process, but I understand times are tough. It seems no one is paying attention to details. The clock at pool has been out of battery or doesn’t work in ....forever ! There’s a sign for an event that took place in APRIL that should’ve been taken down . Also, Why do you allow people to go naked in the sauna or jacuzzi ?? It’s disgusting and I don’t want to have to address it myself to the people that do it, I think staff should monitor more closely and address this - I have seen this 3 times in the past 2 weeks.

The staff are cool. The other gym goers are courteous and polite. I like it so far. They have a diverse array of equipment from free weights, to machines, and plenty of cardio. There is a racket ball court you can reserve. They have lots of classes if that is your thing. They have a three lane pool. 4 feet on the ends, 3 1/2 ft in the center. They have a spa and sauna.Im so glad I didnt go to Planet Fitness. Imagine a lunk alarm going off because you accidentally set the weight down too hard or were grunting through muscle failure. Thats not a gym. Thats a pizza parlor with treadmills.🤦‍♂️Not this gym. This is a good gym.

The guest pass isnt even usable. You have to come in each time and sit down and talk for 5 min. Each time! Not worth using at all. Gyms also super busy all the time now that they lowered costs for new members. Useless to come into as a secondary gym even. Now have to find a new BACKUP. Cant imagine using as a primary

Worst experience of my life. I left the gym feeling degraded and feeling worse off about myself. I cancelled my membership the same day I got it at a different location because I didn’t want to step foot in that gym. Staff was disrespectful! Not professional at all! They wouldn’t take no for an answer. They care about your money not your well being.

PLEASE SPARE YOURSELF! Go anywhere but here! Sanitizer very limited here and billing is a nightmare! There’s only one person who can handle it and he’s rarely ever there! They even charged 3 different times after membership was cancelled. I LITERALLY HATE IT HERE!

They have late hours which is great. And affordable rates.

Change room needs remodeling. Not enough lockers. Machines ok. Not enough stairsmasters.

Super clean. The people are awesome I signed up with Lynn and Justin and they were so friendly definitely not pushy went it came down to signing up. Until November 16 they have a special for 24.99 a month loved the two floor gym.

Legit gym experience. Used to be LA Fitness and has been renamed. Great equipment and awesome staff. Very clean and sanitized multiple times in the hour I was there. Take some pre-workout and get yourself a good pump. Summer coming up in 8 months!

The staff do not walk through so gum on the machines(yup), dirty kleenex, weights in walkways, people using their speaker phones, etc. Are not addressed.

Always closing 30 min before the time they supposed to guessing the employees want to go home early came in at 830 and doors are already locked how is that ?

Quite a few folks dont practice social distancing or wear masks or wipe down the machines that make my skin crawl. The staff is good at announcing and sometimes walking around to tell people to keep their masks on, but no one listened. I feel annoyed because if the members violate the masks policy, the cases will go uo and the gyms will shut down again. This will effect all of us because of the selfish people.

Just starting to reopen, I will go there and work out again. Still some restrictions.

A place defines itself in the way it chooses to care for the most vulnerable.The regulations in place and the way the company has chosen to carry them out as the weeks progressed has proven that fitness international LLC, the parent company, has nothing but FINANCIAL GAIN in mind over the safety of the members, a high percentage of which are within the risk group, and its employees who are fiscally bound to the establishment.By choosing to allow guests without masks then choosing to require them BUT have the option to lower while using is a sign of the incompetence or callous rational willing to plow over the safety and potential mortality of the individual for the financial gain and opportunity of the sensitive situation we are in currently.The Gambit ultimately lies in the following:Either Covid is overblown and it will pass overOrIm right and people will face health complications some of which will result in hospitalization or worse.

Nice new layout and nice new equipment but the Management of this place is just piss poor. The employees/staff all look like zombies. The only staff members you see with anything resembling a smile are the salespeople when theyre walking around with a prospective new member.As usual weights dont get re-stacked. Members are allowed to wear any type of clothing that they want. Have you seen that guy in the shredded skinny tank top which barely covers his upper body? Of course you have. He doesnt even carry a towel to wipe down the equipment he uses. Gross.Oh, lets not forget the folks who walk around with their entire worldly possessions and take it with them from workout station to workout station staking claim to their territory.I wonder if they are adhering to Fountain Valley fire laws wherein they only allow x amount of people in a facility at any one time. This place gets pretty darn crowded.Other than that its a nice gym.

LA fitness is super good in terms of facility and membership fee. In addition, Brad at this location is super nice and takes care of my luggage when I use the hot tub and shower room, as I am traveling from AZ to CA. My families all are LA fitness members.

Best organized gym. Not crowded and all the weights are re-stacked in their appropriate location. Majority of gym goers are Asian, that would explain the neatness & cleanliness.

Remodeled 2+ years ago I believe. This is right by the 405 freeway which is super convenient. It has three floors.First floor:Lockers and swim school immediately when you walk in. Sales people harassing people. Babysitting area. Front desk to check-in/get assistance.TO THE RIGHT:after the stairs is the weights and NARROW basketball court where we usually play 4 vs 4 instead of 5 vs 5 because of how narrow it is. Theres one water fountain here which has a water bottle spout.TO THE LEFT OF THE STAIRS:Message therapy area, more weights, aerobics room, water fountain, and racket ball courts.Second floor:There are stairs and an elevator to bring you upstairs. You can find the spin class and cardio equipment here.Third floor:Swimming pool is here. Possibly more but Ive never been since I dont swim. The Australian swim class thing is taught here as well.

I love this LA Fitness! Ive been to different locations over the past few years, and the staff here if very friendly and welcoming.The facility is clean, and there is enough equipment for the amount of people who come here.Parking can be difficult to find when I go during rush hour after work, but as long as I park in the front, it feels like a safe area since there seems to be corporate buildings nearby.Ive only been a couple of times, but its already my favorite.

Beautiful gym. Just recently became a member 2 months ago. Really happy considering I came from 24 hour fitness. However, disappointed with the front desk staff. Unfriendly. Bored with their job. They dont seem to care about their customers at all. So different than 24 hour. They were extremely friendly. Other than that, great gym.

I must have warped to an alternate dimension because everyone here re-racks their weights, meticulously so. The equipment seems to be repaired rather quickly. The staff is friendly and the lay out is decent. Great gym to work out at.

This is a solid LA Fitness; the inside is great and well-maintained. The only thing I dont like about this LA Fitness is the parking lot. Its pretty hard to get in/out of and its always super packed. Other than that, this is one of the best in the area.

Great atmosphere. I’m not in the best shape, (and very skinny), but I never felt uncomfortable while coming here. Everyone is nice and friendly. Enough equipment for everyone to use. Many different rooms to go to for different sports too.

I went to this center while I lived at Huntington Beach, before facility on Golden West opened. It provided me with the reliable access to exercise machines such as treadmills. Women dressing area is very small especially that some women come and stay there for entire day.

If you work at LA Fitness then you should probably wear some attire so that I know you are an employee. I may have been less annoyed. Also looks like you gym so I would assume you would know proper gym etiquette.....you DON’T tell me you need the bench I’M USING in 5 minutes....DID YOU EVEN BOTHER TO THINK IS SHE EVEN DONE YET?....in the 4 years I have been working out at gyms NO ONE has ever told me they need a piece of equipment in 5 min. You ask...simply ASK.I was so embarrassed because you took it while I was stretching sitting right in front of it... oh but the best part my “5 min” weren’t even up yet. So I got up and left in the MIDDLE of my workout. So thank you to the “trainer” in red shoes.

Love this LA Fitness well organized equipment, newer equipment than most LA Fitness, clean, locker room is nice with spacious lockers. Took the yoga class here before great teacher. When Im in this area I look forward to going to this gym.

These people who work at this gym is just straight rude especially the director of the personal trainer part I called to cancel my personal trainer classes because of the financial reasons and he kept pushing to do the class is had to explain my personal life to him so he can understand I cant do the Class at this point its 180.00 a month but I will be doing my regular work outs he said I cant cancel if I do its a 1000 to cancel and still trying to give me a deal over the phone which was the same deal when I sitting in front of his face. They told me I have 24 hours to cancel so why jump at me so hard if there was a 24 hour period to cancel and I was telling you I cant afford the program then he going to say I am not healthy its just rude Im hurt by it and you should never go below the belt telling people they are not healthy if they are still willing to work out at your gym on there own pace. They do not care about your health they only care about the money

Shay is the BEST! Went to a zumba class with my mom, it was so much fun. Shay is encouraging and friendly. Other instructors should learn this.

I can’t even enjoy the sauna because it always smells horrible because the women that frequent this gym put strong essential oils on the heating element like it’s their own personal house. I’ve also seen them take lemons and salt into the sauna and get salt and lemon pulp everywhere. It’s really sad, I can’t even enjoy the membership that I pay for, and the management here does absolutely nothing, no sign on the sauna or repercussions for these people that ruin the sauna for everyone else. I’m going to cancel soon I can’t take this anymore. I’ve complained 5 times or more and nothing gets done.

I recently started going to this LA fitness, while the one I was going to was being renovated for a week, and decided to keep going to this one. It’s very clean, the set up is perfect, the staff and the members are actually really nice.

They have everything youll ever need at a gym, but the place looks dull, stinky/dirty looking toilets (although they have a jacuzzi and pool, I can never get in). Staff are just not as friendly as other LA Fitness gyms, and Im aware this gym has been there for a while but Id appreciate a gym that works on updating its look and feel - this really needs an interior facelift to bring back its vibrancy, and proactive to keep up with cleaning the toilets.

It’s a decent location, unlike other ones that are not clean. The sauna and jacuzzi always work.

Friendly and outgoing staff!Friendly patrons too!I brought my 70+ father here to get him exercising (doing something, anything) before his health turned into nursing home status. For a guy who has never been in a gym he now has a good workout routine and is improving in daily life. And more active on non gym days! The staff is amazing, Jake is definitely the guy to go for new members. He guided me through the whole complex and explained all about it with knowledge, and more important, he was straight about all the different plans, clearly showing all the details. I signed in and I will bring my friends too. Oss

They should replace that row of racquetball with a glass wall like the one in the group class area and fill with a kids gym and or kids/parents obstacle course, athletic training, etc. those raq.courts are obsolete. fix the place up and youll make more money. been playing basketball there for a decade, great place but low moral...needs a boost corporate.

Sundays always terrible. Womens locker room never clean. Hair on floor, no soap, no paper towels, unless you count the used ones all over the floor and in the lockers. Toilet area dirty as well. They only employ one worker bee on sundays.Why doesnt the Saturday evening crew clean an restock. Even the weight machines are dirty.

The gym is great. The staff are almost nonexistent. I have been going to this gym for a while and Im total have been greeted 3 times. That is horrible customer service for such a big company. If front desk staff cant greet or even give eye contact to the people that use their gym maybe they should be moves to the floor? I have been to many la fitnesses but as far as a cheerful atmosphere and good customer service it is, again, non exsistent.Please retrain your staff to smile, make eye contact, and greet customers. It will benefit your company and improve its overall quality.

The equipment is all brand new and nice. The club has a basketball court. This could be a very nice club, however. The showers, bathroom, and sauna are absolutely disgusting.

I had a membership here for years until I had to move out of town. I loved it here because it was a very big gym with lots of equipment. Their weight room had every thing you could want in it. There was never a wait to use the weight machines and being a girl...I never felt uncomfortable working out there with a bunch of guys! The only reason I gave it a 4 & not a 5 star is because of one of the trainers I had. He didnt understand my limits due to injuries. But I did have a female trainer after him who was magnificent. I recommend this place!

Weights always out of place. People at front desk always look like they want to be somewhere else. Parking lot is always full hard to get in and out. Some of the trainers are nice. People that run billing are horrible. Better off running through neighborhood.

This new facility is very nice but not managed well. The gym sales representative told me they had only two plans. I asked him if it was more reasonable to sign up online. He told me I could not join online. I signed up for the signature plan at $49.00 a month. I went home and looked it up online and you can join online for much less at $29.00. The next day I went back and changed my plan. They try and get you to sign up for the most expensive plan that includes giving you a towel and you can attend their signature clubs which I guess are much bigger. I will bring my own towel and I am not going to drive 20 miles a day to attend a signature club. I have been going there now for about two weeks . I rotate between the cycle classes and the machines and weights. There selection of equipment in minimal. So far the cycle teacher didnt show up on one day and none of the staff members seem to know anything. Also it is so hot in the cycle room and much cooler in the workout areas. I went today to take a cycle class and their air conditioning is out. It was like a sauna in there and I just left and went home. The air conditioning was out and it didnt seem they even called someone to fix it. They should have closed the gym until they could get the air conditioning fixed because someone is going to die of heat exhaustion. I guess I am used to my old gym in North Carolina Lifetime Fitness. How I wish they would build one here.

This is a great place to work out. The gym is large with alot of free weight related machines. They did a great job on the renovation.The general manager Michael Chu is very friendly and helpful. I dont understand why some people give it a low rating. I have been to all the different gyms near by and by far this one is the best.

Ive been a member from LA Finess since 2007 and I have noticed that all this gyms are falling apart! this one in particular, was very dirty and the customer service was very poor.

I dont like this gym at all too crowded and people sleep in the machines and the locker room dirty bathroom dirty and at shower .people washing there clothes looks like and old town from 18th century if theres no stars I will give u zero. I miss my old gym. By the way the customer service very bad too they should get some training to say hi and good by again nothing good about this gym

The facility and weights are pretty decent. The staff is pretty weak. Never a, have a nice workout. No greetings, not really any smiles even.. and I have been and LA fitness member for 12 years, multiple gyms and states.Biggest let peeve, they try to lock down the trainer section and wont even let you use it if You ask..Lame. Get new management. Or associates.

NEW BUT DIRTY,I couldnt wait for the remodel to be finished since the old gym had shown its age and wear. I am very disappointed in the maintenance of the property. The ladies locker room floor is filthy thru out the locker room restroom and spa. I would never want to put bare feet on this floor. If this is the condition after just a few weeks of being open i dread what it would be like in 6 months or a year. I would truly think twice at least if you are a woman and think you may ever need the restroom. I will be joining elsewhere.

Honestly, it looks like a business center, i work at an office in business building and it doesnt feel good to go to one for my fitness exercise... Old equipment and lazy trainers doesnt make me happy, but i still need to stay on shape and this is the closes gym so i suffer that much more everytime i come here

This place is a big joke. Bathrooms are dirty. Swimming pool and hot tub are small, filthy and crowded.

Its July 25, 2015 Saturday and its LA Fitness in Fountain Valleys Opening Ceremony Celebration Party from 10am to 6pm. I got here about 7am when it open and I see things are setting up. I got a mailer for free gift (you can get an energy drink, badge holder necklace, or small towel). I asked about it at 9:30am and I wanted a towel but the towels wont be in at 10am. So I saw other few members having more than one orange colored small towels free. So, I wondered about that but didnt ask/complain since its nothing in my books. When it got to 10am I asked for a schedule of what is happening and they didnt have one so, I dont know what time things are happening. The advertisement online says there is going to be painting, free food, giveaways, lime truck, zumba class outside and etc but didnt give much details on that. I asked about what lime truck is and of that was free food. They answered they dont know. I asked about any great deals on membership add on since my parents want to join if its cheap. They said they dont have any special membership prices since this gym is new. The advertisement also said the ribbon cutting ceremony starts at 10am but it started at around 10:35am. The free food was not like a meal which the LA Fitness staff had ramped about. It was just small sample snack cookies, guacamole with chips from Rubios, tiny sample of energy drink, granola bar type, small portion without rice of chicken and steak from Pickup Sticks, LA Fitness cake from ribbon cutting, and small portion of salad from Applebees. They all came out in the basketball court at different times which nobody knows when they were coming. There was a repair notice on the front door and there was no announcements that food has come so, it looked like there are going to be no food. You just had to be curious to come in to find out there is free food. I had stayed there till 1pm and I didnt know if there are going to be free food later this day. I went outside and found that lime truck does serve food but you need to pay for it not free. So, this day would be better if there was a schedule of what is happening. If the free food was just tiny portion snack sample then they should have brought more of a meal like 6-inch subway sandwich instead of snack. I am still hungry.....

This place was great after the renovation, which lasted like 2 months. Afterwards, its just became dirty and packed. Lots of old crusty Asian guys here sitting around picking each others noses and butts. Being Asian myself, its pretty annoying and downright embarrassing.Staff is by far the grumpiest of the LA fitnesses Ive been too. They need to seriously have the sticks removed collectively out of their asses. Only thing this place has going for it is a sauna, that some others dont. They dont have a juicebar though. Shame.

I was hoping for a nice, clean and well managed club. Since the HB (Warner/Beach blvd) club closed, I hoped to enjoy going to this FV location, but to my shock, the state of this club after major remodel was horrible. First, I could not even park, not sure who planned this, but no motorcycle and in general lack of parking, I guess off hours it could be better.. Then I walked in and the mens locker room was extremely dirty!! Papers on the floor, pieces of anything and everything everywhere. they NEED to keep an eye on it!! Also, my main beef is, ONLY three-lane swimming pool, and of course, when I show up about 12 people in it!! Turned around and left.. Sorry LA Fitness, this is not a good standard!

The LA Fitness in Fountain Valley has a time set for the aerobic room. I get it if no one is there but you have to keep going to the front desk to have them to turn on the lights. If the gym is open before the classes start and if you have members who want to use the aerobic room, there should be a setting to keep the lights on. This is not safe for one and I do not like it.

Wow this gym is a joke after the re model . People working their with a exception of a few of them are not the smartest people in the world 75% of the staff has no clue and zero people/ hospitality skills. I deffintly dont fell like I get a hello or have a nice work out almost ever . What I dislike the most is how the staff is micro managing all the wrong things and not one weight gets put back in the right places the place is a mess so in orgnized . They need a manger that knows the rules of a gym commen decency . Corporate needs to send some people in to set some guid lines

After about a year or so of frequenting this location I was approached by an employee and told that it was against the rules to look at my phone while on a weight machine. I was a little annoyed until I looked around and saw that he wasnt talking to anyone else about having bags on the floor and breaking other rules that Ive seen signs for at other locations. When I confronted him after my set was done he said he wasnt aware of the other rules. Really?

Nice gym but can be cleaner.

This place is starting to show aging. A lot of machines are broken down or scheduled for service. For some reason they always hide the check in scanner.

The gym is ok.Having naked women walking around the sauna, bathroom and the hot tub not decent at all....a little bit of respect for the rest, please.
