This desert excursion is definitely worth the price of admission. The operators communicated timely with details and clear directions. Brian and Luke our guides were helpful and respectful. My family and I had an awesome time getting dirty speeding through the desert and welcomed the cooling river waters as we sped through. π€π»

What a fun way to visit the desert! We were treated by a flurry of butterflies and moths. We also encountered some cattle. The path we took ranged from sand to rocky to creek crossing to some more uphill climbs. The ATV handled it all fine and was fun to drive. Our guides were helpful and knowledgeable.

Had a blast during my private U Drive jeep tour. Michelle was awesome at squeezing me in as I was from out of town. Spencer the tour guide was THE BEST! Gave me tips about off roading, talked about wildlife and nature and places to see on my next visit. Super friendly and just made the day a great experience. We had an amazing time with your buggies. The guides were courteous and kept us safe after a bad storm and floods. We still got plenty muddy but never felt in danger. Would do it again in a heart beat!!! A+
Michelle and her husband were such a pleasure to work with. I contacted several companies in the area for our corporate outing, but Michelles great customer service and responsiveness really sold her company. I felt like she really wanted to earn our business, and she did!She was very communicative through the whole booking process and day of getting to the departure location.We opted to do the BBQ lunch at the midway point and we were all really impressed. The food was delicious and the views were spectacular. I could have stayed there all afternoon.The guides did a great job too, my husband was the main driver which I was fine with. The driving was suitable for all levels but for me a little out of my comfort zone which I am fine to go along for the ride. Others in our group did switch.Due to recent rain, we had more mud puddles and we got wet and muddy which made it all the more fun!I would hands down recommend Desert Dogs and will definitely look to book future activities with them.Thank you again!

U-Drive Adventure is lots of fun. Luke is a great guide. Overall they are flexible and accomodating, clear instructions to meet up location and prompt start to the time they commit too.
Jay and Michelle were accommodating and prompt. i was given a route map and full instruction over the vehicle i was given. i had all my questions answered prior to departing on my 6 hour journey. The vehicle i was given was a Wrangler Rubicon which is equipped for a much more extreme off-road course (this adds a nice layer of comfort) although if you know what youre doing you shouldnt need to use 4X4 on this trail.The 6 hour 4 peaks loop is perfect if youre taking children or elderly people for a unique scenic half day ride. if you are looking for something more technical or involved consult with Jay.Thank you Michelle and Jay for the accommodation.
No matter what type of ? I have ever had about guns or ammunition any person who has ever helped have been the most professional and polite I can get ammo in the chandler heights area close to my home but would rather take the drive out to fountain hills because of the way customers are treated and understanding word of mouth can make or break a company my wife and i have told everyone we know about this place and they to have been happy with the customer service they received simple thing it has been years and years since i have taken apart a colt commander 1911 without hesitation the gentleman walked me through the process might not mean much they have gotten themselves a LIFE LONG CUSTOMER!!!!!!

Went on a U-drive ATV adventure. It was certainly fun, and the tour guides were knowledgeable and great! I will say they do oversell it a bit, and you should align your expectations accordingly. No you will not plummet 100ft to an early demise, but there is an embankment that you could roll off. You drive in a single file convoy, over some admittedly pretty rough terrain. Passing is not allowed, and while a decent speed is maintained you never really get a chance to let the ATV open up - doing so is frowned upon. Overall, glad I went and would recommend if youβre looking for something to do.
This was a super fun morning! Our tour took off at 10am, promptly after a short safety tutorial. There were four couples on our tour with Ryan guiding our group on an ATV. These buggies are not only quick but can climb! Ryan told explained how there were custom built using the same engine as the ATV he was driving but fitted into a buggy so that anyone can drive them and enjoy the desert trails.The tour was about 2 hours longs from arrival to driving away with a midway break to switch drivers and have some snacks. Beautiful views, great conversation, and very educational. Ryan was a wealth of knowledge and was able to answer all of the random questions we all had about wildlife, the surrounding area, random peaks and valleys, mines and more.Towards the end we saw a snake crossing the trail and he stopped to pick it up and show us the differences between it and a rattlesnake. I believe it was a bull snake. My girlfriend and I had a blast and would recommend this adventure to anyone local or visiting Arizona.
This was our first time out off road and Desert Dog had made it quite enjoyable. It was clear that our guide was highly knowledgable about the area and trails. The trails were fun, specifically getting to play around in the water a little. Our guide gave us great recommendations for future endeavors which we are totally coming back. The new owner is absolutely dedicated to making this a fantastic experience youβll never want to forget.We had an incredible time driving dune buggies up to Sugarloaf Mountain in the Superstitions with Desert Dog Hummer Adventures. The weather was perfect, the scenery gorgeous, the staff friendly & professional, and the equipment well maintained.Our tour guide Mckean was experienced with the equipment and efficient as he set us up with the buggies. Once on the mountain he led the way, making sure we drove on all sorts of terrain while avoiding contact with cacti. At the top, he told us about the Superstition Mountains as we wiped the dust from our helmet face shields and took photos.It was a pleasure to meet the new owner Jay. The company already offers buggy adventures and Hummer tours and heβs working on expanding for more options.I highly recommend AZ Adventures / Desert Dog!

I stopped in on a whim yesterday to see what ammo they had in stock and wow! I Love this place! I got lucky and they had the ammo I needed! Also, I was watching one of the fellows help a lady pick a pistol while I was checking out and he was so great to her! He gave her so much advice and was so kind to her! As a lady, this speaks volumes to me. Highly recommend and we will be back!
WOW!!! I dont even know where to start. A good friend and I rented one of the lifted Jeep Wranglers that Desert Dog offers for a weekend off-roading adventure through the deserts/mountains/canyons of Arizona. All I can say is...Jay is THE MAN!! He mapped out a 3-day trek that literally took us through every type of terrain that AZ has to offer. We journeyed across the Four Peaks Wilderness, out to the EDGE of the Mogollon Rim, over the hills by Mt. Union, and last but not least through the red rock canyons of Sedona. On that note...SEDONA IS A MUST SEE! The Broken Arrow trail we hit in Sedona was most definitely our favorite due to the fact that the trail requires your jeep to literally crawl across the red rock formations in the canyon (very technical trail and a lifted vehicle is a necessity). Desert Dog Adventures helped make this an adventure that well never forget! Great rates, excellent service, and top quality vehicles/equipment! If you havent already...GO CHECK OUT DESERT DOG ADVENTURES!! You wont regret it.

If you are in Arizona you cannot miss this adventure. We went off road in jeeps with Jess and Nicole. The units were stocked with cold water the owner was super nice the facility was great. But the best part by far were Jess and Nicole. They are passionate about 4 wheeling and it shows. They took us in remote places that I couldnβt have imagined. Jumped in the water-temp must have been 90 degrees. I even lost my phone-stressful as hell. Next day someone found it Jess and Nicole went and picked it up from the guys house. Wouldnβt even take a tip when they got back. They are good people. I am bringing the family back soon just to experience this. They make it personalized and crazy fun experience. Keep up the great work guys!!!!

Desert Dog did an fantastic job with after-market additions to my Wildcat X. Jay went the extra mile to find a winch that is enclosed under the hood and Ryan did a great job with the installation. Even though a couple of modifications needed to be done, it looks factory. Michelle took the time to help me understand a couple of new trails. The work was great, the price reasonable, and the service very timely. I am very happy with Desert Dog and will be a customer going forward and highly recommend them.

I had my Jeep fixed here a few weeks ago and am extremely impressed with the result. Everything that was replaced was replaced with quality products and looks super good... on top of that, Desert Dog Offroad has a little shop in the front that is loaded with outdoor goodies. Super clean and neat and the staff was incredible, will definitely be back when my Jeep needs more service:)
My family and I took this ATV Sand Buggy Tour last week and we had so much fun! Ryan our guide was amazing. He started the tour with all the instructions we need to be safe, yet have a great time. I would highly recommend Desert Dog Offroad and can not wait to come back.
Gentlemen in their was extremely rude I drove 20 mins out of my way to grab ammo. I was told over the phone i could grab two boxes i get then dude told me nope only 1 box. You never talked to me take one or leave. He said its not like youll come back and hes right with how rude and unprofessional he was i wont be coming back for my lift or any of my 4wheel drive needs.. nor for anymore anmo either.. A complete jerk have no Idea how he has a job..

Awesome place to rent off-road vehicles, purchase Tonto pass for $4 less than what the box charges, and they have a variety of things for sale inside, like fishing bait, ammunition and firearms.
We did the Sand Buggy Tour while visiting Phoenix for work this month. We all had a amazing time! This is not your boring, follow the leader ATV tour. We got dirty, wet, climbed rocks, went thru rivers and saw the beautiful desert. Thanks Desert Dog for making our business trip fun!

We rented a jeep and did an approx. 4 hour off road drive. It was fantastic! The jeep ran flawlessly and was in excellent condition. The scenery was beautiful! Super friendly, helpful staff! This was the highlight of our trip to AZ!

The store offers everything from souvenirs, stickers, ATV/UTV and dirt bike parts & supplies plus ammo and supplies for your outdoor experience prior to heading out to the desert! We loved the tour and the guides were phenomenal. They offer JEEP parts along with all the upgrades. It makes you want to go out and buy one just to be part of the fun. Its your one stop shop for tours, parts, supplies, and I saw them servicing every type of Off-Road vehicle (ATV/UTV, dirt bikes, and Jeeps). Stop here and look at what they have prior to heading out to Highway 87 on your way to Four Peaks or the Lake. My wife and I took a jeep guided tour on 3/9/20 with two other couples. I think the tour is supposed to last about two hours, but ours lasted over three. Kevin was our guide. His knowledge of the desert is huge, and he gave a wonderful tour. He never seemed in a hurry and thoughtfully answered our many questions. If you want to learn about the Sonoran Desert take this cruise and ask for Kevin.
Our first ATV ride was awesome!!! We were scared of going uphill, but it is worth it - you Can NOT beat the views. Ryan, our guide, was awesome and made us feel at ease. Cool stories and very patient with us. Thank you sooo much! Must do if youre in AZ!!!

Took an out of town guest on the hummer tour to the Four Peaks Wilderness area. This was much more than a sight seeing ride. Kevin our driver was an encyclopedia of knowledge about desert plants and animals. Highly recommended for a fun time and youll learn a lot about the desert even if youve lived here for years. Excellent adventure.
