Dr. Porter replaced a couple of my cracked crowns and cleaned my teeth. His prices are VERY reasonable and I can smile to everybody. I recommend you go see Dr. Porter and his staff whether you have a serious problem or just need a cleaning.

Great dentist. If you cant find it, the office is in the business plaza across the street from Comfort Inn. The office is in the back of the plaza and the sign on the outside just says Dentist. If you get lost, just call Joann at the front desk. She is always more than willing to help. These two have been a team for decades and the office has a real mom and pop atmosphere to it. For an anxious-ridden patient like me, this helps put me at ease. (The nitrous oxide helped a bit too. By the way. do not be afraid to ask for it if it helps relax you during dental procedures.)

I have been a patient of Dr. Porters for 10+ years. Before finding Dr. Porter, I had a series of horrendous, terrifying experiences with dentists around the valley. As a result, I developed severe dental anxiety. When I could not avoid dental work any longer, my mother took me to Dr. Porter. His lighthearted, matter of fact, demeanor helped put me at ease. He made sure I was as numb as possible and offered nitrous oxide when I looked as though I would bolt. Overall, this experience helped get me past my dental anxiety and now I refuse to see another dentist.I have read some reviews about people saying he prescribes pain pills too much. I know, for a fact, that any patient who calls and speaks with the staff to notify them of a pain pill problem, will not be offered pain pills. In fact, the staff will make a note in your file that you do not want to be offered any pain medication. Ibuprofen will be prescribed instead. For people complaining about Dr. Porter prescribing them pain meds, they should probably take a good long look in the mirror. Recovery requires a person to make sure they are honest with their doctors (including dentists). Pain medication is necessary for many dental procedures. For those who cannot handle the 3-4 days worth of pills he prescribes without falling back into addiction, it would behoove you to be honest about this with your medical providers.Anyway, if you are looking for an HONEST, affordable(fairest around) dentist in Fountain Hills, look no further than Acute Dental.

Ive been a patient of Dr. Porter for over ten years and have always received excellent care at a very reasonable price. I once had a terribly painful tooth that kept me up all Friday night. I called Doc the following morning thinking he might call me in a prescription to get me through the weekend. Instead he met me at his office in an hour and preformed a root canal that gave me great relief. For that Ill always be grateful.Dr.Porters staff is also terrific. Joann has been the receptionist for many years and is always cheerful and glad to see you. Veronica is Docs assistant and is not only competent and efficient, she is compassionate and as friendly as can be.If you are looking for no frills excellent dental care at a fair price, Dr. Porter is your man.

Dr P is AWESOME!!! I was in a serious pain situation on a Sunday afternoon. I called his office to leave a message for an appointment. By luck he was there doing some paperwork. I explained my pain level and he offered to see me immediately on that day to remove the tooth. What a relief!! Thank you Dr P for coming to the rescue. I will be a life long patient.

Im afraid my experience was quite painful and met defensive attitudes and little or no desire to rectify the situation.

Ive had dental work done for almost 40 years I have had work done by dr. Porter the last 4 years he has been efficient and does all the work himself including the cleanings very patient and accommodating. I have no dental insurance and hes always made it very affordable for me and my husband. I. Thank doctor Porter and his staff very much.

I had a very difficult task for Dr Porter and I suspected that the procedure was going to be very uncomfortable. He and his assistant had me laughing which put me at ease. I recieved excellent care in the dental office of Dr. Porter. I felt at ease for the first time in the dental office. He created a denture for me that actually works and looks beautiful. I love my smile now.

They got me in in less than a hours time when no other dentist could see me for days. I was so thankful for I need a root canal. The staff and doctor were comforting,knowable, and caring.

This is a great dentist if you are addicted to any type of pain killer. He writes prescriptions for pain killers, whether you want them or not. What he refuses to do is make any attempt to avoid causing pain, in fact he seems to enjoy it. Negative stars.

The staff is so friendly and very understanding of the patients needs. Dr. Porter does a high quality work that is very appreciated by the patients.
