My wife was admitted to the hospital and stayed for 8 days. Due to COVID-19 i wasnt able to visit her. She was treated for her depression and came home so much happier than when she left. She says the staff was very nice and helpful. Special thanks and great appreciation to Tech Abbey for her encouraging words during smoke break and MHT Megan for group sessions which my wife says were very helpful. Thank you to the docs for starting her back on the road to recovery and bringing her SMILE back. Ive been missing her smiles.

Rated a 2 because the aides do what they can, even with the staffing shortage. On the other hand, one should be particular with 15 min assessments. Pay attention to the baseline assessment vs the current assessment. During 15-min rounds, check for chest to rise & fall. Also feed the elderly who can’t quite feed themselves. Listen to patients’ request. Do not dismiss them before they can voice their concerns or complaints.RNs— I’m really disappointed with the nursing team. Please (for the love of god, assess your patients and I’m not talking about asking them a few questions from a piece of paper). Make rounds every 2 hours. If someone doesn’t want to take the pill, crush it, & place in pudding or apple sauce. Just don’t shrug and walk away. Please relay patients’ concerns to the proper physicians (psychiatric vs medical). Follow-up with client’s requests and grievances. Be your patients’ advocate!!!MD’s— You guys come in ask if all ok. You swiftly come and out without giving the elderly a chance to voice all their concerns

I have dealt with anxiety for some time, with medication and limited counseling.  After an emergency room visit, I made the decision to admit myself to a facility to obtain the necessary assistance.  This was a first for me and the below summary reflects my experience only.I went to the ER on a Thursday night and was transported to this facility Friday morning.  I was sedated, and dont remember signing any paperwork - my family arrived approximately 3 minutes after the ambulance, but were told that I had already been processed and nobody was permitted to see me after that point.I sat in that room for approximately 30 minutes - the entrance door was locked - I opened the other door and it led  into an unfamiliar group area where the rest of the patients were.  Not knowing the layout, I shut the door quickly and spent several more minutes by myself.  2 other people came into the room to walk me into the main room after collecting my belongings.  I know how an animal feels when the are taken to the shelter now.  No processes, introductions to other patients, or location of restrooms were reviewed.  I was put into a large room with nothing and was scared - Im pretty tough. They showed me the room I would be sleeping in - there was some sort of star (looked like pentagram) and Hell written on the wall.  The bed was a small box with no sheets/pillow and a foam type pad that would be put in a dog kennel.  I immediately called my family from the community phone and explained the situation and what the environment was like.  My mom and husband both told me to sign an exit form (not sure what form is called).  This form is required to be processed within 4 hours of receipt.  I provided the form at 4pm on Friday and was told that it might be after the weekend before it was processed (I believe this is a legal issue).  I sucked it up after the form was submitted and succumbed to the fact that I would be staying the night because I had not heard anything about the processing of the form.  I spoke with the nurse practitioner late Saturday morning (she was amazing and my saving grace).  I then met with the doctor (he was polite) shortly after for review of my exit request.  God bless them - they deemed me eligible for release.  My mother and husband were waiting for me - and I felt terrible for the stress I put them through.Again, this is only my personal experience and I am in no way a legal expert.  I would not wish this experience on anyone...ever.  I experienced true anxiety in this place and it has shown me what a lucky person I am to have the family I have.  From one anxious person to another, know that you are important, valued, and appreciated - just not here.

I tried giving this place a chance. I thought maybe the reviews were exaggerated. But I was proven wrong. This place is unethically understaffed and inconsistent in care. The doctor does not care about his patients and it shows. Group therapy is short and unhelpful. However, I cannot say all the staff dont care. There are some caring techs and nurses. But the downside is that I couldnt keep myself safe. I had access to things that I can use to hurt myself. The techs dont check on you every 15 minutes, its more like every 45 minutes. When I was discharged I had to go to a different facility to actually get help myself stabilized.

Patient review- I wish I had the time in a day to outline every reason as to why this hospital is abhorrent. The facility is woefully understaffed, and most of the nurses don’t seem to really care about the well-being of their patients, but merely shoving medication down their throats in hopes to be left alone. Unfortunately, they’re only following the orders of the psychiatrist and the arrogant Director of Nursing in the building.Dr. Berkhari himself is a very curt man who has zero interest in hearing how a patient actually feels. He will ask you a couple of open ended questions, expect a short response, then diagnose and prescribe all within 5 minutes. I was actually told not to speak during one of my very short meetings with him. I was later told by multiple people that he allows the male patients to speak, just not the females. This leads me to believe there’s some cultural aspect in him that does not allow him to respect women as equals. To each their own, but as a man who’s patients are mostly equivalent male and female, it would seem this profession is not for him. He’s also only in the building for roughly an hour a day, then he leaves. If you have questions you weren’t allowed to ask him in the meeting, you don’t get to ask.As for the Director of Nursing. This woman is woefully disconnected from her position in the hospital. Towards the end of my stay, she began making absolutely asinine rules out of nowhere, so quickly that even the techs and nurses had no idea what rules were what. I was specifically told by a tech “I don’t even know what I’m doing anymore, I’m just here.” The doors to our rooms were completely locked beginning in the morning and into the entire day. If you had to use the restroom or go into your room at any point, you had to ask a tech like a child. Thankfully I don’t deal with incontinence like several of the geriatric patients who were left to use the bathroom on themselves because the techs are too busy playing grade school bathroom buddy with everyone else. Now that the techs had to do this, they no longer had time to do their actual jobs like charting consistently, which only made them irate with the patients, as they have no other scapegoat. The DON herself is a very cold woman. The lack of empathy in her entire personality is appalling considering her job title. She doesn’t know what’s going on in her facility until she gets wind when something goes really wrong like a girl trying to hang her self with a towel, because hospitality doesn’t do their jobs and pick up linens. Because of that, she made the only shower times from 5 am to 7 am for an entire hospital of people. If you aren’t the first in the shower at 5 in the morning, you’re getting a cold shower or none at all.The showers also, they are one entire joke. We were made to line the showers with the same blankets we were given to sleep with so as not to flood the entire bathroom and bedroom. I hate to think of how unsanitary that must be, I don’t care how much washing is done. More so, the showers themselves are built up with so much water scale, they shoot out in jets that bruise any skin they touch. I am 27 years old and I left the hospital with bruises all over my chest and back due to the shower. The entire facility is run like a circus. Nobody has any idea of what’s going on most of the time. The DON especially has zero clue what goes on in the facility she pretends to run.The only upside I can give this place is the fact that I met some wonderful people, (other patients) and the doctor did get me on medication that works. But not without sheer personal insult. If you’ve made it this far, do NOT bring your elderly loved ones here. They will not receive the care they need.

From the doctors to the cleaning crew all were possessed with an enthusiastic attitude. Dressed in scrubs possessing no wings the people helped me reach avenues through my problems. They comforted me they counseled me until the time came when I was able to steer my own shop through turbulent waters. I will never be able to express my gratitude to these true champions of mercy and grace. Applause applause

I have no idea why she was allowed for someone to call out and put her on the phone. The staff at this facility coerced my autistic family member into signing legal documents that were not in her best interest. My family member will need months of therapy to recover from the treatment she received here. She was prescribed a series of medications that are not recommended for her condition and was forced to stay in a constantly overstimulated environment. My family waited hours to speak with someone on her treatment team only to be given the run around. I have filed a complaint with Health and Human Services. Do not send a loved one with a disability here as they will not be treated with dignity or make any accommodation for their limitations.

As a medical professional for many years, I wouldnt recommend WellBridge to anyone. My family member only received minimal care and speaking to the Doctor took an act of Congress to find out basically nothing. Only a few staff even showed concern for patients. My family member was released with Bruising from head to toe albeit combative at times but certainly no reason for all the deep bruising, no treatment for a uti, most of their clothes lost, and didnt even know most of the family. The facility wanted their money at discharge with no discussion of a payment plan or anything. My family members memory was virtually gone and wasnt better by any stretch. 3 days later after absolutely no sleep and the same issues, my family member had to be re-admitted for the same problem to another facility who actually took good care of them and came home with much improvement.

I am a young professional experiencing terrible anxiety and depression. Realizing that I needed help, I made the grave mistake of checking into WellBridge Fort Worth.During my intake I was placed in a room and given an examination of my skin to look for wounds, bruises and marks. They brought in a privacy screen, but I ended up being naked on their monitoring cameras. I dont know who saw my naked body. They then readjusted the screen repeatedly until they were CERTAIN I was not on the camera. They informed me that the cameras were brand new, and they were not accustomed to their coverage. I told them it was fine, but I felt extremely violated.I had a very bad experience trying to gain access to my inhaler on three occasions while I was in respiratory crisis. The first experience, they were unsure as to where it was located. Then my nurse told me afterwards that I was no longer to be using my inhaler. I was changed to the exact same medicine, but as a nebulizer. A good idea, but the medication did not work. Within an hour, I was having another asthma attack. I was placed in a room at the farthest end of the hall from the nurses station. I walked out of my room where I had a 1:2 attendant who said nothing about the asthma attack I was clearly having, and asked for my inhaler to two staff members sitting at the opposite end of the long hall and began walking toward them, they were like, well walk to the nurses station to get it. I feel like a more appropriate response would have been for one of them to begin walking toward me while the other went to retrieve the inhaler. I was very light headed and having to use the handrail. On the third and final occasion, I asked for it today and had to wait 15 minutes before it was located, and furthermore wait until the nurse was able to administer.Another patient consistently requested insulin, but was delayed in getting it, and her testing numbers became very, very high as a result of the inconsistency in delivery. Both insulin and asthma medications are rescue medications. We were not asking for tylenol or a stool softener. We were asking for medication critical to our overall functioning and well-being! And treated as being unreasonable. How is a patient to learn self-advocacy in an environment such as this?At one point, I heard a staff member making fun of a patient with another staff member, and confronted her about it. She informed me that I did not know what I was talking about, but I know what I heard and what I saw. Perhaps they are used to dealing with less cognitive individuals.I had clothes brought to me by a family member at 6 pm and not inventoried until I had asked for a fourth time if I could please have my clothes, 17 hours after they were brought in. I was eventually allowed to retrieve underwear only from the bag and nothing more. Finally, I have the greatest concern for the geriatric patients who are suffering dementia and other mental health related illnesses. I understand that dementia can be challenging to deal with, and that often their requests and questions are extremely repetitive. But they are still human beings and patients in the hospital. From what I observed, they are the least frequently interacted with population among the staff. So the most vulnerable populations, some nonverbal, are unable to advocate for themselves to get what they so desperately need (such as a new change of pants, or a cup of water).Unfortunately, due to the safety issues (rescue medication access) presented during my short stay, I cannot recommend this facility to anyone with its current procedures in place. They need to implement some new procedures and policies.I have particular concern for vulnerable populations such as the elderly, non-verbal, or adolescents (of which I do believe they have a unit).Perhaps best to seek treatment elsewhere. Good luck!

I go to my room & only half my clothes was given to me. They claimed cause hoodies had strings which was fine whatever just hold on to them give them to me when Im released. When it was time to be released they acted like all the clothes I brought were the clothes they allowed me to have !!! They kept 3 of my brand new hoodies with price tags! Someone who works for that department is a thief!!!! Not only that but I had a pink backbag they had to look all over the building for they misplaced but finally found! Im furious about $100.00 worth of clothes brand new I never got to wear was stolen! Patricia the technician claimed she went over my inventory with me when I checked myself in I instantly put her in check saying no maam I arrived at 5 am and was checked In by two African American women ur clearly not them ur white lady! So unless u wanna be robbed find a better place to go & if u do go bring clothes u dont mind loosing!!! The best part of the place is the sweet lady when does the groups u can tell she cares. A very close family member spent seven days in-patient at their Fort Worth facility. The daytime staff, including the doctors and nurse-practitioners, seemed to be caring and good at their jobs; however, the majority of their LVN, RN, and technician staff were reported to have been very relaxed in their adherence to body substance isolation techniques, even when questioned regarding their refusal to change examination gloves between patients. A complaint will be filed with the Texas Department of State Health Services for this, as well as other egregious violations experienced during their nightmarish overnight stays. The night crew was reported to be the main culprit that can be blamed for this one-star review. Without a decent daytime staff, this facility would actually rate a negative-five review from this individual. The night staff members, were very retaliatory when complaints were made; this included nursing staff, technicians, and a female group therapy leader. They were rude to the point of making jokes about their retaliatory actions. I would be remiss not to mention that the group leader, included with this bunch, did actually apologize to the patient at one point; however, it was not until after she apparently performed a skit in front of the other patients about all the things my loved one had been forced to endure. Before any complaint was even made, my family member was forced to carry a trash can full of their sick roommate’s vomit to the nurses’ station by one of the technicians who refused to address the issue when woken up from his restful on-duty nap while supposedly watching their hallway. That trash can sat in their room for several hours, although the technicians supposedly checked the patients rooms every fifteen minutes. For further clarification here, this male technician actually opened the hallway door and just pointed to the nurses station. Several of the female employees even taunted and commented that they were going to keep some of the patient’s personal items. Upon discharge, the female staff member, in charge of the patient’s inventory reconciliation, refused to follow the company protocol and did not check anything against an itemized list. This same individual just threw all of the items in several bags and checked the inventory as complete. It should be noted that this same person was one of the ladies who had previously taunted about keeping some clothing items; as one would imagine, several clothing items never made it home with the patient (jeans, cuddle-dud shirt, and a nice teal-green blouse. The discharging staff also had to be pressed to retrieve the patient’s personal items (jewelry drivers license, and insurance card) from their safe. I would not recommend this facility to anyone you care about or love. While the daytime staff is good and progress will be made with the therapists and senior medical staff, the night crew, and their antics, will most likely work against any forward treatment progress made during the day. My loved one also has great concern for the geriatric patients treated at this facility, as they seemed to receive even worse treatment. When the comment was made that every employee of such a place should be required to experience it from the patients perspective, the overwhelming response was, No, we could not handle that. That should give you all the reason why you should look elsewhere. As I said in the beginning, Dr Bukhari, Nurse Practitioner Hunter, and Social Worker Jordan were very good at their jobs and helped the patients to the best of their abilities. Additionally, the daytime group therapy classes were reported to be very good as well. Unfortunately, the facilitys support staff are anything but supportive to the patients healing process. In all honesty, this place should fire most of its staff, shut down temporarily and reorganize, then reopen as a fully functional health facility. Then, and only then, perhaps it should be a consideration for anyone serious about improving their mental well being.

She put my mind at ease and I could hear how genuine she was with her words. It takes special people to work with people suffering from a mental illness. Ive worked in healthcare since 1997 but I am trained to help people breathe better. I know nothing about helping someone with a mental illness. Im so proud of my mom for calling the police today and asking for help for there are so many people that dont call for help when thinking about ending their life. Ive read some of the negative reviews for this place. I hate that so many had a bad experience, but my mother has been moved through numerous facilities that claim to do what Wellbridge does, and they were truly hell-holes/zoos. In one place, the staff allowed patients to sexually assault and grope each other. If you think Wellbridge is bad, I recommend staying a night at Haven in Frisco to get some perspective. Wellbridge has been a Godsend. The doctors and staff there have brought my mother back from a complete state of psychosis and delusional thinking to her normal self. It is not a luxury hotel, and NOTHING moves quickly in the medical world -- especially when dealing with mental health issues -- but Wellbridge is far superior to most of its kind, and Im so grateful to all its staff for everything they have done to bring my mother back to us.
