I have been having a wonderful experience with this company! At the hospital I am stationed at, the doctors teach me something new everyday. Most of our scribes go on to medical school, PA, nursing, etc. I would highly recommend this job, pay is low, but lets get real youre here for the experience :)

All you need to know about this company is that they do not care about you. You are nothing but a body able to work. You are not treated with respect or humanity. Would give negative stars if possible. However; scribing is a wonderful and excellent way to gain experience in the medical area and to help with ones resume. If you wish to be a scribe then look for a company that treats you as a human being and cares for your welfare.

It was a good job, but not a good job for somebody looking for a first time job. The hours were off sometimes and you would leave with a sore back and shoulders, but the doctors there made it more than worth it to come in every day. It was fun to listen to them joke and make you feel at home. Training was kinda hard but with hard work you can make it.

Great experience in regards to learning new things and whatnot but the managers were horrible. Call in process was impossible. Hours were long. No lunches. Not treated like a human. I wouldn’t work here again.

The school president at North East Texas Community College is a H.R. rep for this company and they have no job placement for students in place. PhysAssist Scribes, Inc. was just bought by Scribe America LLC/Health Channels etc. Scribe America didnt get my checks right, didnt place in clinicals after training to work, after requesting to go to work I was ignored for weeks on end. Scribe America LLC/PhysAssist are horrible companies that need to have most people fired and replaced. I hope they improve their business model.

The training is difficult, the pay is small, the hours are awkward and hard. They will often schedule you overnights or late even if you have an 8am the next day. Sometimes you have to stay longer past your shift. I had a really bad trainer and two awful trainer experiences and the company atmosphere is just awful (I also would like to add that the with the same trainer another trainee walked out on them mid shift. I have to add that the trainee walked out on their own accord. But in my opinion that says a lot about a trainer). When they were training me, I was ready to just leave and walk out, too. I like scribing but the job itself is really miserable. Physassist doesn’t care about you as an individual or your learning style so you better get that chart 100% accurate and quickly to YOUR TRAINERS preferences or else they will dock your points. Every trainer is different, what one trainer may tell you, another trainer will tell you not to do that but try not to get confused. If you do get a bad trainer don’t say anything. Just take the abuse because upper levels will always take their trainer side. Oh you also have to sign a noncompete so If you fail their training you can’t work for other scribe companies. As a premed: physassist will screw you over. I’m glad I don’t work there anymore, I honestly would have left anyway. PA was taking up way too much of my time that should be dedicated to school.

This is a joke of a company. Awful pay, awful treatment. A lot of the people that work here are medical undergrads.. their lives are hard enough, don’t make it worse.
