Seems nice enough but it is only a Day Shelter.Fort Worth needs another larger overnight shelter that meets disability requirements of the mobility impaired and those suffering with debilitating chronic illness. One that doesnt put these people on the floor on mats but in beds inside bays with curtains with less hours out in the elements and two meals per day. I just dont know how to actually create my minds vision. I even designed it on paper. But True Worth is at least a place where the homeless can get out of the elements when the night shelters kick them out each day.

This place deserves no stars, they dont help you like they say, they make something as easy as doing laundry or taking a shower difficult as hell, they lost my husbands laundry, plus he had mail come up missing when they decide to give you your mail a month or two maybe three later. Toby is worried about the wrong things and looking pretty in front of the camera instead about what he needs to be. Were so happy to be gone from that hell hole

Great place to find the resources you need to survive, but the staff is trash! You are only allowed to come in if you are NOT a resident of nearby Presbyterian, and the food is earned by doing a chore of some kind. All they do is point you in the right direction but all the effort will come from self

I am unsure about them asking about True Worth Place because that is also where the doctors clinic is housed. I give the Dr.s clinic an absolute 5 stars. I give the other half of the building 0 stars. There is a security guard there that has let his position give him the very false idea that he matters. He is a very large black man. The reason I am pointing this out is because the very first week he worked there he was harassing me. I am a blonde white girl. Again, the reason I am pointing this out is because he was harassing me from the very beginning . Since he had never met me before appearance seems the most likely answer to me. I dont want to offend anyone. I am only stating my opinion.PS. I get along with the other guards just fine.

The upside is people can receive some meals if they meet criteria, have a shower and receive help from some competent informed caseworkers. There are some restrictions that apply to people and their pets. Showers and laundry services are available pending specific requirements.

My visit today at Tru Worth was not very pleasant. Upon my arrival I walked thru an open front gate to the building and proceeded toward facility to get my temperature taken. A black security guard with an accent approached me and said excuse me maam but you cant walk thru that gate and you need to go back outside, walk around gate and come thru front entrance.🤔So confused at his statement and seeing that he was serious as he pointed at the door, I went back outside, thru the open gate (that he locked behind me), walked all the way around the long gate and came back to the front entrance. 😔Was it really necessary for me to do all this? Obviously to him it was. I advice Tru Worth to better training on compassion and put out signs to direct guest.

The people that work there are great theyve helped me a lot but I cant stand to go there cuz its so depressing I understand and I do not cut down homeless people but they are so mean and when you try to help them with one or two things they want 10 things like in 5 minutes they fast for 10 things you know Im struggling too but they get mad if you dont help them.. sometimes I feel by helping them all you do is enable them... nobody owes anybody a living.. and I did all I could when I was young to help everybody I worked hard I volunteered and this and that never asked for anything now Im old and I feel like its time for me to take instead of give.. but I pray for them because I dont know everybodys situation

I stayed at a shelter near here for maybe 9 Months to a year. Help is there but it wasnt much for me. Maybe 500 homeless in the area that come in and out through out the day. Most the staff suck. But you get one meal on weekdays a shower & computer access through out the week. They offer some classes like AAA & others Ive never attended. And if your lucky enough to be the first 30 out off 500 to get inside on a week day you can do your laundry for free.

This is a day center for homeless folk, offering a place to shower, eat, and gain access to other resources. Such access can be limited due to lack of properly trained help or maybe a lack of willingness to genuinely try harder. Either way, there are always some good apples hanging in there, one just has to be willing to try.

Highly upset and unsatisfied with the laundry room. I just recently dropped laundry off today after standing in line from 6:12- 7: 21 waiting for the facility to open, and I am missing three pair of pants that my mother just bought me and which puzzles me. I took count of my belongings as I put them in the given laundry bag. I also ran into two ladies that say that this happens so much that I should get used to it. I dont understand as to why or how this happened and is conceived as a reoccurring thing but Im not accepting it . I was told by Francis to come back in the morning but Id like to speak with someone about this matter because this is ridiculous. If missing clothes happens reoccurringly it is obvious that someone else should be in charge of doing laundry PROPERLY or be supervised while doing so. Thanks

There are so many services available for the homeless in our city, including myself. You can even register to vote, so just because were homeless doesnt mean our voices wont count!! You can obtain your birth certificate here even if you were born out of the country. If youre a Veteran, thank you, you are important and certainly a priority here. You can get lunch, use computers, get your homeless scan card but you have to go there and be in line at 6:30 am so when they open at 7 am you can get in line. There is a wait time for almost all of the services, however its worth the wait. If you get a TB test try to go to the nurse on the left because the lady on the right, lets just say shes a PILL!! I wAtched her display rudeness and impatience with people and thats just not right. Be patient and get the help you need. The earlier you get there the faster you receive the assistance you need. Be nice to the workers, their job is extremely stressful, take care!!

I have been coming here for two months and there been fights and drug deals. Cant get anyone to help me with getting in a shelter or any information about housing I have to do all my running around they dont feed you and unless youre in Presbyterian shelter you cant bring in any outside food into eat, you have to eat outside. the charging plugs dont work, its hard to find some plugs that work. the only good thing is that its a place to go to the bathroom, somewhat charge your phone, and take a shower if you have your own towel. The director of Presbyterian night shelter mr. Toby should be fired the night shelter is a poorly-run place so is true worth.

Its been several months my daughter and I have been homeless due to domestic violence for 6 1/2 yrs. After a DV shelter in Denton Tx (Friends of the Family) lied on me and put my daughter & me out, it was literally either sleep in my car or go back to him. We slept in our car for almost 3 wks. No money, food, gas, nothing. My baby was missing so much school. Then i met a lady that told me about this place. & 1st day goin to True Worth i met Jessica she got the ball rolling. Even tho they arent a DV program they helped us way more than the actual DV did. This place deserves great and the highest recognition. Thank you True Worth for showing us our worth.
