Let me start off by saying, I am new to the Fort Worth area. I moved here from TN/MS just a couple of months ago. You can imagine my fear of coming here without a job. It was definitely a faith move. I Googled employment agencies and Express (Downtown Fort Worth) caught my immediate attention because it had such great reviews and they were staffing for Office Admin and HR which is my background. I completed the online registration and patiently waited. A couple of days later I received a call and I thought to myself Wow, this was a quick turnaround. After that initial call, a couple of weeks went by without a reply on my next steps. I had to become diligent in emailing and calling. Keep in mind, at the same time Im completing literally about 100 job applications online and attending job fairs in the area. I finally heard back from Express (week 3) and they told me the next steps which was completing their online application and sending it to their downtown location. Once I did that, things moved rather quickly. I was paired with recruiter Jenna Calvert and she was so nice and accommodating. Within about a week, she suggested a temporary 3 week assignment for me at a company in HR, which Im currently working. Of course I want a permanent position but in reality, A paycheck is better than NO paycheck. The job pays a little less than I wanted, but Jenna still worked to get me more than they originally offered. I am grateful for her doing that and I didnt ask her to. I am hopeful that a permanent position will be awaiting me when this assignment ends. The recruiters at Express really seem to care about finding you employment and for that, I am truly thankful. I have a Bachelors degree and experience but sometimes that is not enough. Sometimes you need help and people in your corner fighting for you and thats what Express is doing for me. I hope this review helps anyone it reaches.

The lady working there was rude had no intention of doing her job without sighing and a general lack of communication skills, seemed like she didnt like her job and was unwilling to try to find employment for a customer, didnt even take my information just in case something came along. I never really had to worry about IF I was going to find a job, it was just a matter of when, because I always knew that if the interview didnt play out the way I wanted it to, they would have something waiting for me that just might be the right place for me.There really is no better way to job hunt than using a staffing agency.
